After a months long search for the perfect car, we traveled from Dayton to Columbus. John Cowan was an honest-to-God dream. We’ve had less than savory experiences with dealerships, and both my husband and I are very hesitant when dealing with salespeople. The finance manager was able to help us out with a great rate, even though I had totaled my van right before Christmas and the loan company hadn’t received the payout from our insurance company. John Cowan was incredibly sweet and forthcoming with both me and my mother. He was very helpful and got me in the very day I was approved for my dream car, and made sure I got to leave in that car :) My mom, who has dealt with many a crooked car salesperson, remarked, That was actually a good one.

I wish I could give a better review but Im really not that satisfied with the SERVICES. I will say everyone seems pretty friendly. Another positive is they have really nice cars. My personal experience with them... I purchased a SUV from this lot on 12/05/2020 the SUV is nice. I noticed an issue with the heat where it only blows out hot if Im driving. I called the lot scheduled an appointment had my friend bring the car in as I had to work. My friend called me when she got there and told me they said they didnt have an appointment for me when clearly I called the week prior to schedule and made sure my friend was free as well. They said they would try to figure it out after a short back and forth discussion. Literally about 5 minutes after I left I received a call from Natalie who told me she didnt see the issue the heat was working. I explained to her in detail what was going on she then said we will let it sit for a few hours to let it cool then check at that moment I knew nothing was going to be done seems how they said they were closing early well I guess not sales but services was. I then just took off work because I needed issue fix seems how there was previous minor things I just let go. I picked up car and NO ONE seemed friendly or willing to help get issue resolved got a copy of my extended warranty and they said yes sure you can take it to Nissan. Took to Nissan showed paper and the guy basically was just like whats this. So now here I am again going to a different Nissan for them to check out car and the issues I been having within the first two weeks of getting car. Today makes a month and 10 days since I had car still havent heard from dealership at all no follow up or anything. And here is to my final part on why I gave low rating and I probably wont be suggesting this lot to anyone. The SUV I purchased was listed for around 14k once they did my paperwork I looked the car selling price was 19k I asked why was that my sales guy specifically said because we giving you 3k for your trade in and my trade in is not that much at all so they up the selling price of the car which 19k minus the so called 3k for my trade in still gives a way HIGHER sale price of the car. This to me was so distasteful and if I had knew better and knew that I would get the treatment im getting now I would have went elsewhere. That statement to me made no sense at all. Again I say my SUV is a nice looking SUV drives ok for the most part but hey I signed so gotta deal with it no matter what. Not happy about the services at all. Anyone car shopping please please take your time salesman dont care they just want the sale. O and on top of my trade in I still had to put 600 down

I really lucked out finding the truck I wanted just down the street, but I also lucked out where it was. We called ahead for better pricing and John Cowan did that over the phone. Negotiations done. When we arrived, a salesman told us he’d get the keys and move the truck to keep us from getting into the snow, then John Cowan came out, and immediately asked if I wanted to test drive.Inside, we couldn’t have been any happier. We already agreed on the price, so that was done, and also got a better interest rate without having to then go to our own place to finish paperwork, so it was all done right there. The family environment there made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Nothing but good things to say about John Cowan and the Bexley Motorcar Co. family.

If I am emailing you about a vehicle and state in the email that I do not want to apply because I do not want to do a hard pull on or against my credit report then, you Dont do it.That does not mean you do what you want and do a hard pull on credit. In which it just showed up you did.Suggesting to myself to do a pre approval instead of the credit application so it would be a soft pull, (exactly what you implied during the email) did not give you authorization to do a hard pull on my credit. I have filed the proper complaints against your company.

I felt they were pushing for a more expensive car and more money down...was told that was how Credit Acceptance works, but the lenders website says different... Guess Ill wait til i find a dealership that actually tries to help even when the situation is more difficult.

I am OVERJOYED with my service. I have always been a buy here pay here credit type. This is way better! I came in today with low hopes trying to buy a car they had for $3900. I left financed and in a 2015 instead of the 2007 I thought was the only thing I could get cash out!!! They talked with my kids and mom like they knew us FOREVER!! I highly recommend both Mr. Ed and Joe!

Overall, we had a good experience with Natalie at Bexley. We were very happy to find the car we wanted and even drove from WV to purchase. During the test drive we found a few missing parts (minimal) that Natalie was happy to replace for free. We got a decent deal...but we were a little disappointed that Bexley wouldnt fill up the tank of gas before we left. Its only $50, but we basically drove off with an empty tank and I was a little surprised when we were told that they wouldnt fill it up. They probably couldve done a better job at detailing the interior as well. Other than those minor issues, I think the company is great and they are very reputable. Im not sure why there are several reviews claiming Bexley is shady... but I would have to disagree. I would go back, and maybe next time theyll consider filling the empty tank of gas. 4/5 stars.

In 2016 I went to purchase a vehicle from there. I got a 2009 equinox. Natalie helped me with everything . Well in Dec 2018 my truck was totalled beyond my control. Great service, bought a 2008 van (fantastic shape, very clean) they just received in the winter. The air on driver side didnt work well but you definitely couldnt tell with it being cold outside. I brought it up and they got back with me immediately. They fixed it without charge.

Staff was really cool. Worked with Alex and Don. They were able to get me financing but the interest rate is ridiculous but thats my fault because I let my credit tank. My only complaints are it took almost 4hours to get it finalized. The price was 5495 but when I was presented the paper work the price was 6500 with the bottom line being Over 7000! I had to pay 1000 bucks for financing. They did give me an acceptable discount. I pointed out a door molding that I asked to be repaired but when I got home it was loose again. They put a piece of sticky tape on it but it didnt stick. Waiting to hear back from Alex for a solution. 4 hours It really should have been fixed right. They were eating some ribs that smelled amazing and I was so hungry.

Bought a Hyundai a few years ago for my then college daughter. Price was reasonable. Car has been fine, no major issurs. My daughter went to buy a new car and wanted to trade in the Santa Fe....and just now found out the car has a Salvage Title. There is no indication on the Title that is was a Salvage. Nor we’re we ever told it was Salvage. We won’t be back. This is pretty shady! Let the buyer beware I guess. Never thought to even ask that question about the Title.

While my consumer credit score was very good, I have never purchased a big-ticket item, so lenders were unwilling to take a chance, but Natalie scoured the state and found a bank in another county willing to and I now have a beautiful car. Is I could give a zero review I would. One of the salesman, might be the boss is so rude he is unprofessional, he stayed to make paperwork after closing hours to check what the price we could get. The price was outraged and we were not going to pay that amount. The man got mad and while we were leaving he started talking about saying cuss words about us and maybe he thought we didn’t hear but we did. So being the nice person I am I only opened the door again and said “that is very rude, sir” and left. Not a good experience not going to lie. Don’t recommend.

This place is super shady.I came with my friend to help him buy a car. They were total jerks through the whole process. Expect to wait around all day long if you want to purchase a car from here.In the end, my friend bought the car. It had a remote start button so it didnt need an actual key. There should be an actual key for emergency purposes if the batteries die. They sold him this car without the original key. When he asked for the original key, they told him to order it himself since he had already bought the car. Those keys cost upwards of $200. Thats terrible customer service. Why would anyone return here? They clearly dont care.I also want to point out that this place preys on low income people. They push for financing options and they charge ridiculous interest rates. The finance guy was the biggest jerk and most abrasive employee we encountered.I really want to warn people about this place. Even if you see a car with a good price, please ask yourself if it is really worth the trouble to do business with them.

DO NOT buy a car from Bexley motorcar, they sold my son a 2001 Accord for $1,700 cash, he drove it for 2 weeks, it is now in need of $4,000 of repair, the absolutely worthless Better Business Bureau say too damn bad thats the way it is. And before this I bought my truck there 3 to 4 months earlier it had a part under the hood that they supposedly replaced I ended up having to replace less than a month later they said they were putting new tires on my truck they put used tires on my truck that now need replaced badly. This company and its owner are Crooks.

They were so easy to work with. They listened to my needs and did not frown at all. And, there lot was filled with good and clean cars. I would go back there again.

This review comes months after our purchase so we could do an honest & accurate review.I have purchased several used cars in the past & this is the first place I will do repeat business with & recommend to friends & family! My wife & I was in the market for a car & we came across this lot online. We picked out several we were interested in & did our research to narrow them down. We called & spoke to a very polite & professional gentleman by the name of Alec. We met up to discuss the options & he was also interested in what we truly wanted in a car. He asked some questions as did we & yet again we narrowed it down. He wasn’t just trying to throw the higher priced vehicles at us, he made an effort to stick to our budget & get us in a car we would love. We narrowed it down to this red 2017 Honda Civic, which when we did more research they had it priced better than anyone in a 200 mile radius! Like most car searches we took the night to think, discuss & again look at more options. We chose to go with the civic that my wife fell in love with. Well if you know my wife when she falls in love with something there are no other options. Sadly the car sold the next day just hours before we were going to make the deal. Alec was aware of how much my wife really wanted that car & instead of trying to sell us a car we wouldn’t want or turn us away he asked that we give him a few months to find her a red Honda Civic with the same year, & same miles, & same price.Well he did even better, he called us 1 month later & said he has another red civic, same everything, even in better shape, & with even less miles if we still wanted to do business! This tells me how much him & his organization truly care about their customers. We did the deal & most importantly my wife was happy! Now we as used car buyers know sometimes things come up. We had minor things come up with the civic (& i mean very minor) which you won’t find during inspections over the next two months of having the car. Alec was quick to have us bring the car in on a schedule that worked best for us & fixed every little issue. This car he helped us find has been the best vehicle purchase we have ever done. We weren’t rushed to make a bad decision & we truly felt taken care of. We got our car with the best customer service we have ever had. Bought a car back in February. They were suppose to fix a couple things before it even left the lot. Had to go back up the next day because they weren’t fixed and “forgot” some of the paperwork. Still NO problems fixed!!! Now my car is in terrible shape, lots and lots to fix that the warranty all of the sudden doesn’t cover. This place is a joke and will be anything to put a dime in their pocket.

These people are the shadiest bunch of jerks I have dealt with in the 22 years Ive been an adult. They ran our credit, approved us for a loan, tried to switch us into another car, we left. They called us 30 minutes later about the car we wanted. I told them we made it home, we arent leaving again, we would be back to get the car the next business day. Came back the next business day, they sold the car. Tried to put us in another car. No thank you.Now I have an inquiry on my credit report and no car.Just say no to these shady sorry excuses for professionals.
