No different than going to Supercuts or some other everyday hair cutter. Paid $50 for my daughter and I to get our haircut, waited extra 15 min. for my stylist which was frustrating since I canceled my other appointment to make sure I could get both our haircuts at the same time. So ofcorse my 6 yr old was impatient waiting for me to finish. At the end, haircuts werent any different than what we get at a Supercuts or smart clips, expect double the price.

I scheduled for a hair bread for my daughter to take pictures. The girl on the phone told me she couldn’t they’ll me how much it will cost. I went in thinking it can’t be too much, it’s a 5 minute braid, right? I walked out of there $50 lighter! Fifty dollars! For a hair style! Will never, ever, ever, go back!!!! And to top it all the girl that started the braid didn’t know how to do it and ended up having another girl come over to braid it....So disappointed!

Trystan is amazing!!! She did my cut and color perfectly! I got highlights with 3 different colors. People constantly compliment me on it! She is very kind and personable! I highly recommend her!!

I think this place is okay if you just want to get a hair cut or something that is not elaborated. I went there with my sister and spent 220 dlls to get her hair done. She wanted a gray color and her hair was virgin. She ended up with a purple/violet hair when Sabrina finish I told her that I wasn’t happy with the result. Her response was “ well what do you want me to do, I already die her hair multiple times” she was upset and tired but it’s not our fault that she couldn’t do what we ask for. I was told a supervisor will contact me and that never happened. They just told us to wash her hair to get the gray color that my sister wanted but that never happened plus her hair was really damage and dry so she had to cut it off. Sabrina had a rude attitude and didn’t even felt bad for damaging my sister’s hair. I don’t know if she treat us like that because we don’t speak a lot of English or that is just how she is with her clients.

Best place in town to ruin your hair. I came in with very clear instructions, but the stylist completely botched it. He clearly had no idea how to cut an A line bob. One side had a very wavy edge. The entire thing was a full inch shorter than I specified. This is a cut that requires to style then finish trimming, but he only styled then sent me on my way. The back is also much too long, not the sleek and short that I asked for. I also specifically said that I did not want the back stacked, but blended, and he went ahead and attempted to stack it anyway - botched that too. I came out of there looking like I had a sideways bowl cut. That is NOT what an A line bob is supposed to look like! If you want a youthful, modern cut, dont waste your time, money and hair by going here.

I get compliments on my hair literally every day. People are shocked when I tell them I got it done at JCPenney salon, and even more surprised when I tell them the prices.Do yourself a favor - save some money and love your hair!!

This is a great place with many great stylists. Very clean and very professional. If you had 1 bad experience with 1 stylist there remember they have around 20 stylists and that stylist might not even work there any more. There are stylists that have been there 8,9,15, 20, 30 years. That says a lot. Make an appointment with a master stylist instead of just walking in and expecting the experienced stylist to be sitting doing no other clients.

Trystan Ortega is the absolute best stylist I’ve ever been to! I can honestly say after she did my hair I’ve never felt so confident! Not to mention my eyebrows🙌🤩 She was so nice and I don’t think I’ll go to anyone else again! 10/10!!!

I will complain more about the customer service. Definitely needs lots of work. I’d call out the person involved but they somehow don’t wear name tags. Alittle advice...acknowledge who is standing in front of you (eye contact would be nice) and speak alittle louder. Working on those few items will help your confidence.

LOVE JC Penny Salon! Derek is my hairstylist and I would not go to anyone else except to him. I came in with a hair emergency due to the lack of common sense at a local salon and I ended up having to shave all my hair off (which was past my bra line at the time) and for the past 2 years hes been helping me w growing it back and being absolutely wonderful with everything. Id highly recommend him to anyone I know.

Awful, awful, awful. These women shouldnt be qualified to even touch hair! Ive been there numerous times to give them the benefit of the doubt. Yet, SOMEHOW they botched my hair. Simple cut every time mind you, nothing spectacular or anything that I know they possibly cant mess up. Bangs. Oh my god, none of the women know what a fringed bang looks like. Customer service? Ive waited ten minutes at the front desk, on a sunday, with nobody there. One woman was dying hair, another sitting at her station talking away and one passes right by me not saying a word. Manager surely has no idea how to properly train these so called stylists.

I’m giving this review because the job was never finished and I was told multiple times that a manager would call me to fix the situation. A month later I still have not received a call from the manager. Miss Cienna dyed and cut my hair, but she ran out of time due to an appointment and her shift ending. There are areas in my hair that need more dye, and the hair on the back of my neck was never cut like I asked as well as layers. Cienna told me she promised to finish the job later free of charge so I paid in full and made an appointment for the following Saturday. The following Saturday, and Thursday, and second Saturday Cienna called in sick and I was asked to reschedule. Finally I asked for the manager to explain what is going on. To this day, a month later, I have not received a call and now my appointment was updated as completed. 120$ and a month later, I have an unfinished hair coloring job, no layers, and still have annoying hair on my the back on my neck. I highly advise people to seek another “go-to” salon and let this Penny’s salon focus on thier mall customers.

There’s so many bad reviews but there’s a lot of stylists there that do great! I had the same stylist in Michigan for 14 years so it’s been a 4 year process trying out new stylists with how picky I am!! I saw Patty the first time and she gave me suggestions to change up my cut for more volume and it was a great idea. She also talked me out of going from blonde to auburn, thank goodness, and gave me fantastic new highlights and lowlights to properly darken my hair without being too dramatic. She was also very kind when waxing my eyebrows (it was my first time and I’m a big baby). The stylist I see now is Angel because Patty wasn’t available that day and I just love her! She’s super cool to hang out with while getting your hair done and we really just laugh the whole time I grunt while getting my eyebrows done. 😣 lol Shes always on point when following the new shades of blonde colored pictures I bring in every time. My go to gal! Not to mention their prices are the best in the area. I drive down from Woodland Park now just to go there. They’re all really nice from the second you walk in and stop to comment on your hairdo throughout the time there. Highly suggest!!

I waited and waited. since the girls could not figure out how to make 2 childrens cuts right.... I showed up to see 2 stylists working on some young children. I was told I had a 10 minute wait. Well I waited 40 minutes watching these girls try to make the mother happy, it never happened. The one girl stated VERY LOUDLY that when she was finished with this mess she was clocking out and was NOT going to take anymore people. I guess that was a blessing in a way, shortly afterwards me & my wife left the salon. Luckily we found another salon in the mall, Regis. The company actually owns the JCP salon also but it was quite evident that they did not follow the same standards. Hopefully they can get their problems resolved.

Worst experience Ive ever had at a hair salon, I was in pain the whole time with the way Eugene yanked the comb through my hair for highlighting and when he went to cut my hair he continued ripping the comb through my hair, Ive seen plenty of hair stylist and have never been put in so much pain this was awful, my hair cut was not what I wanted and the color wasnt what i wanted at all. I paid 90$ for my hair to be messed up and for me to be put in pain, the rest of the staff seemed very pleasant but I was very dissatisfied with my stylist not to mention he made me feel like a burden for being there.

I had a appointment and they still had me wait a hour my application was at 12:00pm and my kids got there hair cut a little hafter 1:00pm and the stuff was mostly standing around.

So I took a shower and was late to get my eyebrows done so I asked them to blow dry my hair. Afterwards found out it cost $20 just for the blow dry!! Eyebrows took 10min and cost $12, blow dry took 5 min and cost $20! Such a rip off!!!!!!
