Went here yesterday with my mom, and they have a great selection. A lot of reviews are complaining about how the owners are rude and they were nowhere near rude at all. The sign on the door says, No mask no entry so thats on you if you are blind enough to not see the sign. The owners are super kind and really help you find what you need. Its a shame all these reviews are so bad.

I would give this place zero stars if I could! They made us buy masks to get in and then the product we wanted went up by $400. Don’t go here! Worst customer service and business I’ve ever experienced.

Do not go here. The man made us buy masks because he’s apparently so afraid of the Rona that he needs to grab masks with tweezers. After that, we went to look at the hair I normally buy, which was $179 2 months ago, and today is $650. I asked why he raised the prices so much, and he had no explanation. He was rude and couldn’t care less about customers. Terrible, awful, ghetto place.

The guy here is nice when his wife isn’t around. Now when she’s here they tend to be rude

DO NOT buy hair from this place. I was lied to about quality of hair was not able to open package till purchased. The minute I left an was able to open package I knew I had been ripped off. Owners do not care no refund or exchange. I was slat out told it was best hair and scammed out of 300 . Hair did not hold up 2 days. Will never ever go back here again. If you dont want to be ripped off DO NOT go here . Wish I could give negative stars

Rude, unprofessional and more. Was followed around store and they knew NOTHING about black products but love to promote black faces but treat us like they deserve our money. They deserve to be shut down. This store is motivation for the black community to get our own businesses. Thank you but no thank you.

Where do I start with this place1st. They watch you like a hawk from the moment you walk in.2nd. They tried to tell me I couldnt have my phone out while I looked around.3rd. When asked about the brand of hair that was on the mannequin heads they told me it was privileged information.4th. Do not touch or even try and turn the mannequin heads they will try and put you out.HOW ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS??? They dont care about promoting good customer service just Hurry up n buyNEVER NEVER NEVER go into this place. Find another place to spend your hard earned money.

Customer service is non-existent here. They Watch you like an animal as you walk thru store. If you touch a wig they yell at you from behind counter from the front of the store. No exchanges, not even for unopened products bought on the same day. They do not allow you to see the packaging for any wigs unless you buy them. I had done a negative review for this place before but decided to delete it, and give another try. My second experience was worse than the first. I will never give this business my money again. They own a black hair care store, but treat their customers as less than. Go to any other hair care store in town but do not support people who have little interest in helping our community!!

Unprofessional. Need customer service training. Scope on you while security camera operating. Not allow surf on internet to comparing price bc prices are rip off raise red flags while make customers feel uncomfortable. My last time to shop there since been there for 9 years and gotta shop elsewhere. Check professional staffs @ Hey Genie out.

If I could give no stars I would. Please save your money and do not shop here. Soon as you step foot in the door they watching you like a hawk! They dont allow you to touch a wig, use your phone, etc. Surprise I was allowed to breath in the store. After being upset the way I was treated; I decided not to purchase anything and took my dollars somewhere else!

Highly do not recommend. Came here for reviews for other stores and seen other people have the same experience that I have in the many times I’ve been here. Don’t spend your money with people who have no respect for our culture.Edit: I went to stylesome wigs and more and was treated amazing, she let me touch feel, showed me different styles and even helped me match my hair color to the wig! I highly recommend them and will never shop at hd again!

Worst beauty supply store. They have cameras on every aisle, they’re VERY rude, they don’t carry everything. They want the AMERICAN dollar but those foreigners don’t know how to treat actual Americans, let alone people with ethnic hair. Won’t recommend these crazies.

While the owners of this establishment are extremely nice, they are the furthest from helpful (and I don’t think they even realize it!!!) because they are not African-American nor have any experience with ethnic hair....I can read the packaging myself!!! If only they had a true concept of the texture of our hair, or cared, they would absolutely STOP trying to sell me on hair they know does not match the texture or color of mine...and it’s overpriced!!! Sisters (and brothers), until we get our money right so that we may give them some competition, be supportive of more online purchases when it comes to hair care products for African-Americans; it’s just like buying at the store...seeing as in we don’t get to touch the products anyway!!!! Plus, it’s a fraction of the price!!!!

Walked in just to look around. Signs everywhere not to take pics or be on your phone. What is this high school?Overheard other customers being told not to touch the wigs 4 separate times in the span of the 8-10 minutes I spent there. The selection is poor and on top of that nothing is labeled with prices. They keep boxes everywhere. I got watched as well by the owner arms crossed staring at me. I hated it but wanted to find a good Yaki wig. I feel much better playing the amazon route. Another thing. Why do they carry tints and colors if they can’t help their clients with the selection. How is this place still open?

I use to like this store. Even though they can be rude.. but if Im going to pay lots of money for lace front why cant I feel the hair on the model .. The lady said only the style matter...I TF Not.. I will take my money else where..

The owners are extremely knowledgeable of their products. They are extremely helpful and kind. I had to take my mother there to get a couple of wigs because she is going through chemo. I am glad they were helpful and supportive. There is a wide selection of wigs that look very natural and the owner helps in picking out what is best. The prices are extremely reasonable too!

WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!!! I only gave 1 star because I couldn’t give 0 stars. They’re very racist in here. They follow you around like a criminal despite how many times you’ve been in there. I’d consider myself a regular and the customer service is unsatisfactory every single time. They man is very rude and they never know anything. If you you’ve been there before or plan on going to this place you most likely won’t want to come back.

The owners, (especially the woman) can be really rude and they overprice their wigs. They charged me $65 for a synthetic blend wig, that I found online for $23. $30 with expedited shipping. Im giving them 3 stars, however, for their selection and accessibility

I wish I could give it no stars. They Asian lady was very rude. First of I was looking to see the brand the wig was that was on display and here she comes. I was cool at first cause she was tell me more about the wig but then I went to see what brand another wig was and it slid off. When I went to fix it here she comes with an attitude. I was done

The gentleman behind the counter was rude and after he couldnt help me he told me that he was uncomfortable and I needed to leave the store I guess they dont sell under caps for wigs at this wig shop I would take my money elsewhere

They do not allow you to see the card stock on the wigs because they are overpriced and if you see the company you can purchase somewhere else for a much cheaper price.

Bought a wig for $75.. not good quality at all.. started to frizz and nap up after only fight days.. they dont allow u to try on the wigs or even touch the wigs.. I found another hair store called stylesome wigs and more by the Walmart on Platte.. I wish I had went there before wasting my money at this store..

I purchased a red orange hair color from the store to end up a blonde. I called the company from home the product was manufactured and was informed that this store is selling expired hair colors that should have been removed from the Shelf 5 years ago. Buyer beware because the owner explains that he just owns the store and is not responsible for the products he sells.

They want you to put ur bag /belongings in a locker ... and they follow u around the whole store telling you not to touch anything and you’re not allowed to be on your phone period ! Not sure how they still in business, maybe this ain’t the country for them ! I suggest beauty depot or ebony beauty supply over these idiots!

First of all they have no quality wigs there, so if you’re looking for Jon Renau, Ellen Wille, Noriko or even Raquel Welch wigs, forget it, this is definitely not the place to go. As mentioned before, customer service is an alien concept to the people who own the place / work there. Rudeness and no help whatsoever, they follow you around, you cannot try any wig without paying a “fee”, plus they are vigilant and unkind; they view you as a potential thief, or at least that is exactly how they make you feel. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who knows what quality wigs are and expect impeccable customer service!

Ive shopped at this store maybe 6 times, and atleast the first 3 times, they followed me around the store, I guess they werent familiar with my face, which isnt ok, from the first visit my husband was irritated because he felt uncomfortable. I like the store and went back a few more times and it seemed as if the owners warmed up to me. So I went a few days ago and the older lady (probably owner) whatched me as I walked through the store. When I came in she was by the front restocking braid hair, and I was at the back looking and feeling the texture of the wigs. She came back there, trying to pretend not to watch me, then told me not to rub my fingers through the wigs. Now we all know, in regards to wigs, you wanna feel them and run your fingers through them to see if they tangle. I was so irritated by her asking me to stop, but I smiled and said ok, bought my hair and left. I was offended, because from the beginning we were watched, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I think its such a shame to sell black hair products, and your customers are predominantly black, but they stereotype and follow us, yet we drive 98% of thier revenue.My black dollar is powerful, and I refuse to give a person, that views me as a criminal, another dime.

Yesterday was my first and last time coming here. As soon as I walked jn, the asian lady behind the counter started following me and my sister as if we were just there to steal. My sister and I were looking for a wig, and she touched one of them and 2 seconds later, the asian lady behind the counter told us no touching. How am I suppose to decide if its a quality wigand to see what the texture is like if Im allowed to touch it. And from reading other reviews, Im unsure how this place is still open.
