Amazing job me and my boyfriend went. After they did a great job with his car I had to go and take my car. They work quick and the work is 100%. Plus they are very friendly especially the owner. I will be returning for the work and for making us feel important.

Yousef did a great job fixing the issues with my two vehicles to pass Virginia inspection. Instead of just telling me what needed to be fixed he brought me into the shop so I could see the problems myself. I trust him with my vehicles.

Sat there two hours for oil change & inspection just for them to reject me over a headlight that they claimed was not workingWent around the street & got my inspection done with no issue. They are all about money here, say you need to fix things you’ve never even heard of, also the white lady in the office gave me the wrong paper for my car, told me the balance was going to be $800, when my car was nine. Had me looking over other peoples information because she’s to busy to keep up with customers names. Do not waist your time with this business. Mom went a few days ago & experienced some of the same issues.

These guys are great! I came in with no appointment for a State Inspection. They finished up in 45 minutes, failed for windshield wipers and helped me with the cost because I was short on cash! Ill definitely will be coming back theyre a godsend, thank you Tuffys in Colonial Heights!

These guys are the BEST! I was in a pinch with a blown out tire, and they were very close to closing, BUT willing to help me out anyway! Came in on a Sunday morning as a walk in for a Va Inspection and the Manager got me right in. Service was completed and in a timely manner

I went to Tuffy to fix my over heating car. The owner said he will take care of the car and i don’t have to worry about it and he will give a student discount. So, i left my car there a couple hours later he called and said he have to change the radiator and the tubes because they were busted. The next morning i went there to pick up my car; as soon as i walk in he carged me $800 and took me to the garage to show me that the car is still in the same condition and still doesn’t work. And he also charged me another $100 to put a stopleak and oil, just so i can drive it to home and get the engine cheak light on again. He Didnt change the tubes he just stick them back together i will include pictures.

I’m moving from Virginia to Florida, so I have a lot of my belongings and my 4 pets with me. Yosef and his son (?) got us in IMMEDIATELY, picked up the part their self (radiator hose) and installed. I was there for under 2 hours. They said to call if we needed help, 40 miles later we had an issue. We called asking for advice. The following day they called us just to check up on us and making sure we were doing well and back on the road. HIGHLY recommend them, they’re extremely caring and nice. Tony, the owner I assume, was also a great conversation.

They rejected my state inspection for something that was never an issue & did something to my car. When I arrived it was driving fine, now I have a new inspection by elsewhere & they are saying they did this to have me come back & spend money. Not happening, I WILL NEVER BE BACK!Horrible experience, do not waist your time with this money hungry place

We had to replace our muffler and it was a great price and very fast! The great thing is was the lifetime warranty.

UNSAFE, PLEASE AVOID. I don’t usually leave reviews unless it’s an issue of safety. My brakes could have gotten me killed. Tuffy’s was paid $200 to fix my rear brake pads. They had the job done within 30 minutes. Immediately upon getting my car back, my car swerved while driving and felt different. I hoped that this was just an adjustment even though I had my front brake pads fixed before at a different establishment and this didn’t happen. A friend of mine who was also very familiar with driving my vehicle said they too immediately noticed a MAJOR issue with the driving.After shelling out this cash, I decided to hope for the best. Getting the brakes fixed at Tuffy’s was the last thing I needed done therefore my car (which is still pretty new) should have no major problem. About a month goes by, driving gets worse. A few days ago my brakes nearly got me in an accident. They just stopped working unless you pressed ALL the way down in them. Giant red BRAKE light shows in my dash. Car is now leaking. Major issues obviously. Tuffy’s last touched my car and for years I’ve kept up all proper maintenance this was just my first time giving them a try. By the way their attitudes are atrocious no matter how polite you are. They’re already on the defensive, you can’t say anything to them and it’s very shady behavior.I decided to take my car to another mechanic so they could look over the work. They called me today to let me know that whoever fix my brakes (they specified the left rear brake) did not install the bolts correctly when they finished and some issue with the caliber and piston completely blowing out? I’m not car savvy but long story short another mechanic said that whoever worked on the car last did not do their job right. We immediately call Tuffy’s, they say bring it in. We do so.They offered a lifetime warranty yet today they have very boldly and blatantly denied all accountability for the action. On the phone before they even saw the car in the shop, they said that the problem was not theirs and it was another issue with my vehicle even though another mechanic already explained that it was a mistake done by whoever last worked on those brakes. Tuffys is the only shop that is touched them. They stated that my vehicle was very unsafe to drive and that if we took it away they would call the police, they also charged an unspoken, random $90 diagnostic fee on the spot that they did not disclose beforehand just for looking at the problem THEY caused. They then tried to charge $45 claiming the car was low on fluids, huh? It wasn’t taken in for fluids, we’re talking about brakes and safety here. Why the lack of accountability, why the distracted worry over fluids rather than the grave job done on those brakes.Mind you the other mechanic, whom I will keep nameless, charged NOTHING for their time and letting us know what had happened. We are very grateful for this and shared that we would be returning it to the shop that caused a problem since they promised lifetime warranty. Anyways this whole ordeal has been miserable. Paying this shop $200 to fix something only to have them create a massive mistake has been a horrible experience, and this mistake will now cost us $300-$400 to remedy because they are refusing to take accountability. It’s beyond shocking.We all know we’re in the middle of a pandemic, people are already struggling enough. Please do not ignore the other low reviews, this shop should be shut down. I not only risked accidents, but my life, driving around thinking that I finally got my rear brakes handled on my car just to learn today that I’ve actually been driving around in a death contraption because Tuffys cares more about money than they do basic human decency and concern. Please avoid at all costs. Currently getting quoted over $300 by another mechanic (Tuffys quoted $400 to fix their own mistake, hilarious right) so I can have a car again with actual functional, non life-threatening brakes.Thanks Tuffys. Y’all are lovely, really.Update: Took into another shop. 1k for all brake work/fixes.

The best auto shop ever! They prices are cheap and it was fast service. The owner had hooked me up and got me a very cheap car that works great. He said if I had any problems he would get me a good price. I needed a oil change and he had given it to me for only 30$. This was overall amazing auto shops, one of my favorites

I called for an appointment just to check why my engine light was on. The man answered the phone literally told me to come in at 10:30AM and that was it. When I came in with the car, he proceeded to take the car and only discussed the services he added without telling me anything beforehand. He said $97 total because it took the car full on checkup to find out why the engine light was on, and told me that he had told me through the phone already, which he did not! I couldn’t do anything because he already did what he did. So I paid $97 for them to tell me there’s nothing wrong with the car, when I can go to autozone and other auto places to do the same thing for free and less than 15 minutes. This place is a scam, do not come here, I hope someone report them!

Ive always had great service with this Auto Services Center. They have always done a great job and it for some reason I felt something was not right, they always took the time to check out my concern. My family members and I, always try to take our vehicles to Tuffy on the boulevard in Colonial Heights and we all consider the owner Joe to be honest and reasonable.

I got a good price on a Dodge, although the car is a used vehicle it is in excellent condition. I was treated with respect. I will return for any mechanical services or when I need another vehicle.

I had a problem with my car on the highway to the way to work, I had to call a tow company and they suggested Tuffy. It was like a 30 minute drive, I went told them the problem and they went right to work. Took less than a hour and while it was getting fixed I was talking to my boss. Never had a problem since and it had been almost a year since my problem. Amazing, amazing auto shop

This gentleman that owns this Tuffy Tire cannot be trusted. He does not do what he says. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HIM. He has lied to my son and did not do what he said he will do. My son buys a vehicle and a part is defected that must work for the inspection. The inspection sticker was brand new and the seat belt is defected. He slapped a new inspection sticker with a defective seat belt. He said that he has called my son many times and no answer and for that reason, he sent the part back. All lies. BEWARE

Fiancee went here a couple months ago to get a custom exhaust done. The welder didnt know what he was doing and so my Fiancee has been back to the shop 4 going on 5 times due to the brackets keep breaking and pipes whittling. Appears the shop takes jobs for your money but does not know what they are doing. DO NOT GO HERE !!!

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Very helpful staff, fixed my muffler, which was rusted into pieces in under an hour, for more than $100 less than other places!

So, me and my husband and kids were traveling up to Niagra Falls, which is in Canada. We wanted to go because the kids were on break, it was New Year’s Day. So the car was making a bumping sound, kind of like thumping, we didn’t know what was wrong with it. We tried looking for mechanics near by, they were all closed due to the holiday. The only store open was tuffy. Let me tell, amazing service! They fixed our car in no time and we made up to Canada with no more issues with the car! I highly recommened coming here!

I hated my experience with this auto shop. It was below my expectations from the customer service to the repair work. They added charges to the bill without discussing with me first. They did not put the correct type of coolant in my car (G12 or G13) after I specifically warned them to. They cant break down the charges of service and parts like I asked. You cant rely on them to even stay open during their specified open hours, even when they know you are coming to pick your car up. I have never had a worse experience at an auto shop. Dont go here. 0 stars if I could.

WARNING!!! The owner is a complete rip off artist. All his cars are junk! Do not trust them. He will try to get you in trouble with the state police when he’s the one that needs to get in trouble. This location runs a used car lot and please do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy a car from this man. He is a con artist. He falsifies inspections, makes promises he doesnt keep and WILL sell you an unsafe car. My husband is active duty military and has been gone for 6 months. I bought a car from Joe with my 4 month old child with me. The check engine light comes on, he tells me Oh dont worry about that, Ill fix that for you Tells me its just the gas cap and I leave and the light comes back on. I take it to my mechanic that same day who finds 3 different codes and the diagnostic is a timing chain issue..$2500 to fix. I call joe and tell him to fix this or I dont want it. He refuses to listen to me or look at the diagnositc report I brought with me. Tells me sorry you bought the car As is After 2 days of extremely hostile behavior, I finally threaten him with legal action. He agrees to take the car back, but for $500 less than what i paid for it. I bite the bullet and lose the money because this man is impossible to deal with and will talk over you and tell you I dont have time for this when you try to explain to him that you know hes wrong

Dont go there for custom exhaust.they dont know what there doing. 3cat 3muffler and they put a 2 1/4 pipe in between them. Can you say it restricted the flow. It defeats the purpose of putting 3. I furnished the muffler, cat,ys,and tips and they still charged 500 dollars. Welds so sloppy they put sealer on them. There what gives mechanics a bad name. If you cant do the job just say no.

I went there Saturday, I went for a new muffler, and I got a new one for a good price, and it was also fast service. Really reccomend going there!

Horrible. We went in for an oil change and at first we were pressured into paying for a $90 computer service because there was something wrong with the car. We insisted that we just wanted the oil change and nothing more. Then the guy who changed the oil forgot to put the cap back on and the oil spilled everywhere. The car obviously started smoking. They barely cleaned it and now my car is burning the oil still . Its summer and I cant use the AC because the smoke travels through the vents. Awful service.

I would not give 1 star, they are too pricey. They charged $600 for front brakes, they were not up front with the cost until the work was done. I could have went elsewhere, I will never recommend this place.

I took my vehicle there and received oil change, alignment and had to get 2 tires. They didnt put all the lug nuts back on and the ones they did put on were not even tight. When I was driving down the road, the tire was wobbling. I could have had an accident with my grandchildren in the car. They were too busy talking to their friends that came in, that they didnt pay attention to the safety for their customers who is paying for them to do a job.

Went there for two tires the tires they sold me are leaking air and they did not line them up right asked them to check my ac charged my $90.00 for nothing said the compressor wasbad went to another mechanic just needed anti freeze.
