Hard to find a mechanic i can trust. Many bad experiences. Thankfully Channara has done good work for me.
Chenara and his wife have been running this place for years, I have been trusting them for at least the last 12. Its always the same guys working on your car, they are great on price and very helpful looking for after-market parts if your car make stops being produced. I always call ahead but they always can take my car when I need them right away, like I did today when my battery died. Nice, affordable, trustworthy shop!
Call this company for a tow and they were there within minutes. Channara was helpful and professional. My car was safely towed to the tire shop and they did not over charge me. Great service would definitely recommend them.
This is the only place I will take my car to be worked on. Always quick and helpful. Reasonably priced.
STAY AWAY! I called to pay for my diagnostic fee since I found a car repair shop nearby that charged $200 less then them to repair my car. She refused to take my payment for my car over the phone. I explained to the Asian lady who works the desk that they had my car and I had no way to get to them. She said Its not my problem! Take a bus or train. Very unprofessional. Way too expensive for repairs. They wanted 695 plus tax while the repair shop Im taking it to is charging me 490 for everything. Big Difference.
Charged me a “special” discount for checking out the engine light and a smoke test, regular price 75.00 each but dropped to 100.00. They then quoted me over 1000.00 for repairs which my regular mechanic fixed for less than 100.00 overall. Nice enough customer service but far too heavily overpriced.
Great service. I dropped off my used truck in the morning for a Maryland State Inspection and picked it up at noon. The mechanic was very thorough, checking each of the required elements. They even went as far as to repair one of the elements that failed at no extra charge.Definitely not the same experience as the previous reviewer.
Got an oil change here and then my oil change light came on again 3 weeks later. Then I tried to go back and tell them but I got ignored completely. Worst place I’ve ever had to deal with. If I could give zero stars I would. DONT GO HERE!
I have taken my cars here for years. They are the only service people I trust. Their prices are very reasonable, and they are honest to a fault. No waiting room at all, and no cafe close by are the only downsides.
Solid work at a reasonable price. Straightforward and quick turnaround. Recommend.
I called in the morning to schedule an appointment for safety inspection. The person on the phone told me to drop my car. When I reached there, the lady at the counter said they were at lunch and told me to come back after 40 min. I waited and after about 50 min, I was told that they were busy and couldn’t do the inspection. They wasted more than 3 hours of my time, and even didn’t offer an apology.
Excellent service great work...they do not overcharge....love this place
This auto repair business is one of the absolute BEST, and most honest auto repair establishments that I have ever encountered. The proprietor, Chanara Keam, and his staff perform top quality auto repairs at a very reasonable price, compared to their competitors. In addition, they guarantee their work. Although my husband and I have relocated to a nearby state now, we still choose College Park Auto Service for our vehicle repairs. Its worth the long distance trip to patronize this reputable business. I trust my Volvo to Chanara Keam and his staff. Sincerely, Terresa. 😊
I have friends who like this place. I have had mixed experience. The work seems ok, but the customer service is definitely lacking.
I refuse to take my Town Car Signature anywhere else. If my car needs work and College Park Auto Service is closed, I walk everfywhere until they have time to fix it.
Inspected my car and were very friendly. Would go again!
I went here for a car inspection (Im a new MD resident) and I hold the mechanics and staff at this family-run business VERY VERY suspect. Most likely assuming and playing on my naivety, I was quoted big dollars for small fixes needed to pass inspection and which I solved myself:I was told I need a new wiper motor for $340 since my wipers didnt go down on their own. I fixed this with a $15 relay I purchased at AutoZone.I was told I need a new brake light assembly (not just the bulbs). They didnt quote a price but said it could be a lot. I replaced the bulbs myself (so it was the bulbs after all) for $30 at Walmart. They did not even remove the covering for the brake lights and my car remained in their lot all day. When I fixed these problems myself and returned to pass the inspection, they did not seem surprised, maybe just disappointed they were unable to scam me.In short, I will never visit this place for any service again and I would advise others to avoid them as well.
Too expensive. Bad customer service. Look Elsewhere.
Honest, awesome work, and quick!!
They are reasonable and honest service.
Dont go this place for an inspection. They lied to me that if I dont fix this and that my car can stop on a highway. I didnt believe that and wanted my car back, but they charged me inspection fee anyway, even though they didnt issue a certificate. Another mechanic I visited after confirmed that that was a lie and issued a certificate.
Responsibly, quickly and inexpensively
