Nelson in sales did a really good job. My situation was complex but Nelson was able to escalate concerns where necessary while handling much on his own. He is a great person to talk to and genuinely cared that I was a satisfied customer. This is my second Hyundai vehicle and it is a pleasure to drive. Mark the Sales manager was helpful and made sure I received a fair value for my trade in while making sure I was satisfied with the new vehicle. My husband and I had been scouring for a Palisade for months before we made it to College Park Hyundai. Charles immediately made us feel welcome and like a priority. I live in South Jersey and had my mind set on buying a 2021 Hyundai Venue SEL. They are very hard to find right now. I found two dealers in the DMV (College Park and Bowie) who had them. The DMV metro is about 2.5 hours from where I am so its not a dealbreaker of a drive. I sent a request in to both dealers and Nelson at College Park Hyundai got right back to me immediately. In no time, he got me taken care of without ever having to step foot into the land of the crabcakes, over to the finance team (led by Ike, who did a fabulous job communicating as well) to work out the details of a very fair finance agreement (2.9% APR over 60 mos).Nelson was available by text nearly 24/7 (which for my millennial-self who avoids talking on the phone like its COVID is a huge deal!). We had an agreement by the next morning.MOST of all, since I had a hard time getting anyone to drive me down I-95, Nelson, for no charge, drove up the Venue right to my home in South Jersey. What more could you ask for!I love the car - I feel like its a fantastic value for all of the features you get and am very happy with my purchase. Most of all, I feel like I was very lucky I ended up landing upon College Park Hyundai. I definitely would do business with them again and make sure you ask for Nelson if you are looking for a new vehicle - he will take good care of you!P.S. Judy my Airedale loves the car too!

In November 2020 I decided to buy a car. Over three days, I must have visited about 20 different dealerships in DC metropolitan area in Maryland and Virginia. It was at College Park Hyundai that I met with the most reasonable, well-behaved and professional staff. This is not to say that other dealers had poor staff, but the staff here at College Park Hyundai went out of their way at every step to help me choose a car and also helped me with the finance. Especially Charles, the salesman who attended to me, and Jose, the manager on duty that day, had excellent attitude. I must admit that I was being a difficult customer, going through all the details several times. I took hours to finalize! But not once did they show any exasperation, and answered all my questions and helped me. In fact, they gave me a great deal too 😀 which was considerably lower than the asking price. I am still connected with Charles and we have become friends!

I went a couple of weeks ago to Hyundai college park wanting to purchase a new car and my salesman was Nelson. Nelson customer service was excellent and he went above and beyond to make sure I would be happy with my purchase. I like the people here, they are friendly and service minded. The waiting room is comfortable and I trust them with my vehicle. Waits can be long but they have the option of a shuttle or car rental if you dont want to stay onsite.

I have been a customer since 04/ 2019, when I purchased my SUV in this dealership. I had been doing my regular services with them. All of them were friendly until yesterday, 10/12/02021. I went for my regular service and I happened to go a desk that was open and available for me. I introduced myself to a lady behind the desk. Her name is Melodi. I have never seen her in that service area before, she might be new. regardless, I dont need to be treated like that just as a customer. whats the problem to ask explanation about you bill? she might not like my face or my accent for that matter, but I am a paying customer for the last three plus years in that location, college park Hyundai. she is unprofessional, unpresentable, and very miserable to be face -to face with customers. She is destroying the images of hardworking individual working along side with her. She doesn’t deserve to their, in my opinion. I give one star for the manager to step up and help me understand my questions, I thank you so much.

Took them over a month just to install new brakes and they stole all the money I had in my car charged me triple what other places would and they acted like taking a month to fix my car was super reasonable. When asked about my vehicle status they kept saying in a few days for a whole month never getting any straight answers. I am of the impression they were using my car or something during that time. This place is not legit they will take all your money out of the car down to the pennys and never give you a straight answer. So if you need your car fixed then is place should be last resort or not even considered. Unless you wanna be super Unhappy.

I purchased a 2021 Kona SEL Plus back in April it was time for me to get my first service and I was unable to get an appointment at the dealership where I purchased my car from close to my home in Pasadena Maryland. With that being said I called this dealership as it was close to my job.From the time I called here the customer service was amazing. my appointment time was at 9:30am I arrived at 9:20am I was checked in by Chester who was very friendly and courteous he took pictures of my car Im guessing to make sure there was no body damage prior to service so if something happened they would know if it occurred during service, which I thought was great. I was getting a oil change & tire rotation.I was still waiting so at 11:45am I was a little irritated that I made an Appointment at 9:30am and I was still there, so I went to the service desk and I encountered Melodie she is the Lane Manager. When I approached the counter she could tell I was a little irritated. She handled the situation with the utmost customer service she was amazing she did not return my irritation with an attitude like most people would have done. By the time that I left there the encounter with her was well worth the wait. she was such a sweetheart she explained to me how the service department functions not making excuses but giving understanding. she also gave me a better understanding on how the Hyundai Complimentary Maintenance works that I was not told when I purchased my car and I would have incurred an unexpected cost when I came back for my next service. I say all this to say that we often complain but never give credit when we received good service. not to mention the waiting area was very nice and the complimentary snacks, Coffee and Tea where also a plus. Thank you again Chester and Melodie for turning my experience in to a positive one. I will definitely be returning for my next service. Customer service is very important and you both far exceeded my expectations.

Derrick Moore (Ty) was great. He helped me pick out the perfect vehicle. It had all the features and accessories that I wanted. There was an excellent choice of vehicles and colors. Mr. Ike in the finance department was also great. He was very knowledgeable and was able to get me the best price by leveraging all possible discounts and rebates. I would recommend this dealership. I scheduled an oil change appointment for 1:30. I arrived on time and was told there was a recall on my car’s computer system and they would fix it today in addition to my oil change. I was surprised, because I hadn’t received any recall notice in the mail or otherwise. Imagine if it was something more dangerous that was recalled and I was never notified. The individual who was helping me, William Silva, was otherwise not very communicative. After he took my key and got in my car, he said nothing else to me. I stood there awkwardly for a moment and asked if he needed me to stay outside or if I could go inside. He said I could go in, so I went to sit in the waiting area. After about 45 minutes, I went back to his desk to ask about how much longer. He said at least another 2 hours because of how long the computer system update would take. I had only made an appointment for an oil change, which I assumed would be a quicker type of appointment. I let him know that I did not have time to sit for 2 more hours and was frustrated that no one explained to me that this recall would take so long to to fix. Why would he assume I had all day to sit around? He said he couldn’t find me when he came inside and assumed I had left, and that’s why he didn’t tell me how long it would take… really? Couldn’t find me in the waiting area? Didn’t even bother to check? Where would I have gone to since they had my car? It felt like a poor excuse for his extreme lack of communication. I asked if anything had been done to my car at all (after waiting about an hour after dropping it off) and he said no. Nothing at all after an hour of waiting? What was the point of scheduling an appointment? How much longer would it have been before anyone even looked at my car? I understand businesses get busy and run behind, but again, if this was the case, it was not communicated to me. I asked for my car back so that I could leave. He kept asking me when I could come back for not only the oil change I didn’t get but the hours long recall repair as well. If this lack of communication and professionalism is what I have to encounter to get my regular maintenance that is included in my warranty, I’d rather find another hyundai dealership to go to. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed. This was such a waste of my time and would have persisted even longer if I had not followed up.

ATTN ANYONE LOOKING TO PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE. Please ask for Charles Anene. Charles should clearly be nominated and win the salesman of the year at this location. He clearly goes out of his way to answer all questions, leaving out the sales talk. He is upfront, honest and very detailed to ensure you understand what your cost will be. He gave us different options and was very quick to reply. We sent him a text on a Saturday at 11:00 pm and he replied. We purchased a new Santa Fe without even stepping foot on site. Thats right! We did everything on line with Charles guiding us through the process. He also delivered the vehicle to us 2 hours away. Yes! Charles delivered the vehicle to us. I would highly recommend Charles to anyone and will purchase a second vehicle through him when the time is right. Thank you Charles.

I was told to bring my car in on a Wednesday evening the day before they was to work on my car so they could start on it first thing in the morning. I called the next day Thursday when my car was suppose to be ready and was giving the run around finally Thursday evening I was informed they lost the key to my car. Friday morning i was told to come in and bring the extra key and pick up a loaner car. While doing the paperwork for the loaner car the representative ask for me drivers license and insurance card and which she never give it back to me nor did she bother to call me to let me know that they still had it when she realized it. So I drove around all weekend with their loaner car with no drivers license. This service department is so unorganized they need to be reconstructed. I would not recommend the service department to anyone.

They claimed it would take 3 days for a tire rotation and oil change. I didn’t hear from them for nearly 2 weeks. I went out of my way to come here for a warranty covered oil change. They were supposed to do those two simple things. My tires are marked and I can see that they did not rotate them, did they change the oil? Who knows….I’ll have to change it myself just to be sure. The folks there, Chester in particular, act like you’re asking them for a big favor by showing up to have your car serviced. Go to a different dealer or find a competent mechanic….or just do it yourself

I took my hundai Santafe sport for oil change and repairs two months before. They diagnosed my car and told me they ordered parts. They keep my car for one month and I go to the service center they told me that they dont find the parts. I took my car after oil change which still has noise. My work work order is still open but no one call me or email about the status. Totally their follow up is very bad. I call several times they said they could not get the parts.

We were monitoring CarGurus.com and Cars.com for the Hyundai we were looking for. We found one in New Jersey, and thankfully one was available much closer to us in College Park, MD. Charles Anene was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered all my questions. I appreciate that he listened to us. That specific car had a few smudges inside from what I suspect was a prior same-day test drive (the car had around 20 miles on it). He promised me those smudges would be gone when we received the car. He also set up and clearly explained the Blue Link feature to us. The business office processed our purchase quickly, which we greatly appreciate since we had our two kids with us. One of the staff members even got enough outdoor lawn chairs for us to enjoy the beautiful day while we waited for our car to be processed.

If I could give Collins and Catherine 10 stars, I would! They were extremely friendly, helpful, and transparent throughout the whole process. This was my first time buying a new car, and Collins was able to get me a great deal! He took the time to explain things to me, even when I asked him to re-explain a few times. He even helped me find good car insurance! I was worried I would feel rushed or pressured, but I definitely didnt! Had my Hyundai Elantra sport taken here to get a key fob reinitiated to the car, after a towing company stole my vehicle. I got it towed to this location where it took three days to get nothing done or any diagnostics check of what was wrong. I decided to go in and cancel there service because it was bs. Strongly advise you go to another dealership if you can. Went to get a headlight issue diagnosed because I wasnt sure if it was an electrical problem. Made sure to schedule an appointment several days ahead of time, and opted to get a rental because I wasnt able to stick around. After dropping off the car, I went to get my rental and they told me none were available at the moment. I explained how I made sure to book an appointment ahead of time and they said they just received the request from Hyundai while I was walking over. Confused, I called the dealership and they said they don’t send the request until the customer shows up in person. Why even offer the option online if you can’t guarantee a rental will be available because of how the policy is set up? I could have scheduled it separately and avoided the unnecessary stress.The service was estimated to take 1-2 days. I called the next morning ( Fri 8/6 - 8:41am) to check on the status. They said that my service advisor was with another customer and would call me next. After two hours of not hearing anything, I called again (10:38a) and got the exact same answer. I waited until 1:03pm to call one more time and, yes, the exact same answer. Frustrated, I told the operator that this was my third time calling with no response or status updates. She apologized and marked my inquiry as a high priority. I never received a call that day. Because of the miscommunication with the car rental and lack of communication, I had to Uber to work in DC and then Uber back home (the metro stations are closed in my area until Sept).That Sat, 8/7, I called at 10:55a to ask about the car. The service advisor said my ticket was still open and it was waiting for next steps on the service recommendations given to me. I explained that this was my fourth time calling without any response. She apologized and said that my service advisor was off that day and they’ve completed an oil change that I requested. I told her not to do anything else with the car because I was done with their service and was on my way. I wonder if I would have ever received an update if I didn’t follow up on my own?I quickly challenged the initial cost of the invoice because I never heard anything about my headlights, which were my main concern. They said a diagnostic was done for the light but they decided to remove the cost because I was never updated. While waiting for the new invoice to be processed, I noticed a lot of unhappy customers and the negative, checked-out attitude of the service advisors there. When reading the comments about the headlights, they recommended that I have them replaced. No further explanation or details. The whole experience really severed any trust I had with a dealership, a place where you would assume has better standards than some of the more general car garages out there.I knew I didn’t want to ever go back to College Park Hyundai again. I went somewhere else to get the bulbs replaced and my tires rotated (one of the service recommendations the dealership listed). The mechanic instantly noticed that my headlight harness was disconnected and the headlight caps were just lazily placed on the fuse box. He was surprised they didnt fall out while I was driving. He also noticed that the bulbs themselves were completely missing and my coolant reservoir was hanging inside my engine bay, not bolted to the frame. I could not believe the extreme negligence of my service at CPH, and neither could the mechanic. He was happy to note his observations on my invoice. How can I trust that ANY diagnostic was truly made at CPH? What else could be left altered or unfastened that might cause serious harm to the car, or myself?I happily responded to the general feedback survey they email you and provided my explanation. In the meantime, I thought it would fair to share this with others because after going through everything that has happened, I cant be the only one with a similar (or worse) story.Thanks for taking the time to read this.

My truck was giving me problems so I contacted them and brought it in to get serviced. My truck was in the shop for 2 weeks. I had to pay out of pocket for a rental and none of there mechanics could find out what the problem was. You would think they are educated and trained to KNOW what theyre doing and sadly no one there was. They charged me $370 to diagnose the problem which they didnt! They told me they didnt know what to do or what the problem was. No money was refunded. That is very poor costumer service and I would not recommend getting a car or truck serviced at college park hyundai.

Have a great experience with Charles A. From the moment I walked in the door, he treated me with respect and was very helpful. Ofcourse the process was a bit bumpy in some areas and it took some time to get the deal done but a diamond was more of a rock before being cleaned. Id recommend Charles to anyone, he will take care of you! You will feel respected and that he is honored to have earned your buisness. The manager was great as well. Great offer on my trade in. Ive had nothing but great experiences at College Park Hyundai. They have great customer service. Theres always a little fear in going to mechanics about them being honest, but Ive even had experiences where they charged me less than estimated, because the estimate did not apply to the context for my car. So they are honest and that matters to me too. I will be taking my Verracruz here for as long as she is still rolling!

Ive gone to this dealership for about 15 years or so and bought at least 5 cars/SUVs. Customer service has improved tremendously over the years, along with the buying process; no outrageous pressure and 14 hr marathons. Finance is straightforward now, which is good since I absolutely hate the haggling process for cars.The facilities are clean and in a good location. They have a shuttle. The service department and staff has always been exceptional, especially my go to, William Silva. If you didnt buy here, id come for the service department. Everyone is always nice, like family, and I dont worry about being cheated like at some of the other dealerships in the DMV. Pricing is always competitive and the people are honest. Regarding Hyundais themselves, they are generally good, safe cars that break on time, so keep up with the service schedule. They are good for short people, feel roomy, but depending on the model, the inside cabin can be a little loud and the usb ports need higher voltage. Also, they are generally not upgradeable, so get ALL the features you want up front!

Usually when you talk with mechanics or service advisors they are too complicated with explanation but Mr. Redd was patient, nice, polite and very professional and fast. I brought my car in for routine maintenance and mentioned one of the tires had a leak in it. They checked it and said nothing was wrong. I asked to please check again because I put air into the tire once or twice a week. They recheck it and find two nails. The tire is replaced without issue. The problem occurred when I got home and discovered they techs didn’t replace the spare under the car. It was just thrown into the back of the trunk. When I called to remedy the issue an offer wasn’t made to put the tire back, just empty apologies.When I returned the next day the staff was extremely unprofessional and treated me like I was the jerk for asking them to do what should have been done in the first place.

Marcus Reid was my salesman, I came to them with a very specific vehicle request and price I was willing to pay. Honestly my offer was way under msrp and I figured we would not be able to make the deal. I have been driving for 25 years and never had a new vehicle. Marcus was patient and took me seriously throughout the whole process. The management team their is also awesome. There was no back and forth haggling for hours. They told me the price of the vehicle, I told them what I was willing to spend out the door and the deal was done. Will be using again when its time to replace our larger family vehicle. DO NOT BUY FROM COLLEGE PARK HYUNDAI!Just wanted to share my terrible experience we had going into this dealership. We called before coming to see if there was an available Palisades to test drive before driving up there. There was and we were told to ask for Dozie. We arrived and the palisades was sitting out front. Dozie came out and was telling us all about the vehicle and then mentioned the price that it was $38k and some change then he goes but because of the market we put a $7k mark up on it so the sell price was $46k and some change for the basic SEL. I immediately told him I would not be paying $7k over the msrp and his words were well people are paying that because of the market and then he walked away from us. So we left immediately. What this dealership is doing is down right wrong. The day after this experience I received a phone call from Bob Bell Hyundai and I went a bought a Palisades with the premium packet for the same price that College Park was trying to sell the Basic SEL. If anyone is looking to buy a Hyundai I highly recommend going to Bob Bell in Glen Burnie, totally worth the drive and they will not rip you off and everyone is amazing at Bob Bell.

The worst experience you could ask to receive. They cant get to your car for weeks. That is what I said because of the time I had to wait but after a going through the Hyundai warranty process my car was repaired without charge. I did not like the wait but they are an honorable shop and did get my car taken care of so I have changed my rating.

I ordered a part, the part arrived and sat in the shop until I had to reach out to them out of concern for why the part was supposedly taking more time to arrive than I was told. This is ridiculous. I arrived early for a 10am maintenance appointment. Mt car was not taken back to the service area until nearly 1pm. It is now 3pm and I am still waiting for my car. I will never return to this location for any service, maintenance, or any other needs related to my Veloster. If you value your time, I recommend you go elsewhere.

Negotiations are the norm and you won’t be treated like a mogul because you want the same price someone else may have gotten.Eddie is on point. Honestly he could easily be called a friend and that is rare for a car salesman. What a terrific person in this rat race of a town.The deal or no deal finance team makes it fun they were not superficial but really wanted to make sure you know that they are thankful for your business. Financial folks can sometimes let the business go to there head selling in this economy. It is important for our country but people should always especially when spending there hard earned money be treated amazing. The only reason why i havent requested a court ordered boxing match. Is because some people were born privileged. Now Im not gonna say names. One: The managers were disrespectful. Two: The top managers are like a president and vice president, They are both full of ...t. Three: one top manager and one regular manager got mad and yelled at my mother when she was trying to buy a car. Because they didnt have their s..t together, for a month they kept blaming her for stuff she didnt have control over, only them. like tags registration all that they are supposed to take care of. Hyundai Service:I dropped my car off in October 2020 & since then I’ve been as patient and respectful as I can be. I held back from writing a review in November because of Michael Goldberg(General Manager), even though I had multiple issues then with lack of update/communication. It took me 2/3 weeks since I dropped my car off to get my diagnostic results & a loaner car. In that time, I was paying out of pocket for a rental car.It’s been 3 MONTHS since I dropped off my car. I picked it up on 1/11 @ 6pm; by 1/12 @ 8am the check engine light(what they’ve been working on and “quality testing” for 3 MONTHS) comes on. Car starts smoking from the hood & temperature gauge is hot as Im driving on I-95. Its now 1/13/2021, car can’t drive and had to pay for towing again. I’ve never experienced Service this bad or my time wasted this much and Im holding back given all the details I had with my experience.Update: 1/14 car leaking fluid; need to take it to my own mechanic for diagnostics or just sell it.GO TO HYUNDAI ROCKVILLE or anywhere else.

I dont normally do reviews but I really feel that this Hyundai dealership REALLY deserves public praise! The staff that I met with, consisting of Ike O. and Fernando A., were very pleasant and honest...they both really went above and beyond to help me when I was in need of a vehicle. This was VERY surprising because I was a walk-in and I was still shopping around at all the local Hyundai dealerships in the area to see who had great deals currently! Well, I can say without reservation that I am GRATEFUL that I walked in to this location and I got exactly what I liked after a test drive, a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, which by the way is a FANTASTIC vehicle!
