Do not be afraid Toni may have retired but there are a lot of other very nice and professional and amazing women that still work there and do a great job, and have been doing a great job for many years now. I came here at the recommendation of Sandra at bridal and formal. I am impressed. My dress weighed 11 pounds of satin and the nice lady there was able to make it perfect for my wedding. She took in the shoulders a little, hemmed it, re-sewed on most of the appliqués so it looked perfect, and made a 16 loop bustle. The bustle was easy to figure out for my bridesmaids and didn’t take long. It held in place all night and I definitely didn’t hesitate with my dancing. I twirled the entire time and also we did a lift at the end of the first dance. We took photos on top of a parking garage in what felt like 30 mph winds and my dress had no issues. I would highly recommend going to alterations by toni. The price was well worth it for how my dress turned out. The women there were so nice and interested in me and in my wedding. Highly recommend the “press pick up”The woman also was very nice inside the store and let my friend come along to one of the appointments with her two babies. She even gave them each a candy cane. I am impressed by the work they did on my dress. She did a ball gown bustle *

I can’t say enough good things about the kind ladies at Alterations by Toni. The women who worked on my wedding dress were so nice, and the work they did was fantastic. Hemmed my dress, added breast cups, a “modesty panel” in my very deep v-neck dress (using fabric from the hemming), added a bustle…all of the work they did was phenomenal. And they held onto my dress and kept it safe during the pandemic since my wedding was delayed a year. Easy to schedule multiple fittings. Worth every penny! I’ll be returning to have other dresses and things altered.

Toni is so great to work with. She has a down-to-earth personality and was one of my favorite parts of the alteration process. It took 3-4 alterations to complete my dress and I was absolutely pleased with her & her teams work. My dress was beautiful because of Tonis attention to detail.Their prices are a bit steep but I can promise that they are worth it for tricky alterations; especially on wedding dresses. 10/10 recommend

I googled “Alterations” when I was looking for someone to alter my Wedding dress. And “Alterations by Toni” came up with great reviews. When visiting the shop after making an appointment with Toni she was amazing and made my experience very comfortable. When my wedding dress was finished it was fitted very well! She did an great job; and with me planning a wedding during a pandemic I had a lot of balls to juggle! She made the process seamless 😉 and stress free!

Toni is such a doll! She helped make my wedding dress perfect in less than a week! I had a situation because Im in the military stationed overseas. When I bought my dress, I had it sent home in the states because I was in a place where I wouldnt trust them to do it how I wanted due to the language barrier. I started contacting a few seamstresses back home, explaining to them that Id need it done very fast due to the earliest date I could get home (which wasnt certain at the time cause thats military). You could understand my disappointment when I kept getting denied. But when I asked Toni, she was down for the challenge!! She said to let her know the date Id fly in as soon as I know and shed book me an appointment. She was so amazing! I needed my dress taken out a little (I had a hint back fat going on) and hemmed. So she took it out, hemmed it, and gave me a bustle in less than a week! Long story short, customer service was awesome, and product was amazing as well! I definitely recommend! :)

What a wonderful experience! Toni did a fantastic job and she was very sweet. My only advice to any bride is to make sure someone knows how to properly bustle your train. My MOH was at the alteration appointment once to do it but by the time the reception came around, she couldnt get it right and I had at least 3 girls behind me trying to figure it out. My dress was bustled somehow, but definitely not the right way through no fault of Toni! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

This place is amazing. I was scheduled to have my second fitting for my wedding dress alterations on 7/14. Called Toni around July 3 as I was hoping to push up my wedding date because of my dad’s negative turn in his cancer battle. She had my dress done on 7/7. It meant the absolute world to me that Toni made this possible and my dad was able to see me in my dress. Toni and the rest of the staff have been so respectful and considerate of my wants throughout all the appointments! Highly recommend this place

Toni did an AMAZING job altering my lace wedding dress! She made the dress fit me like a glove. She was also so easy to work with- I was planning my wedding from afar and even had to come in for a final fitting the morning after thanksgiving and she worked my schedule. I could not give her enough stars!

Very fast turn around and everyone was very nice and friendly. Only needed to have the bottom hemmed of my bridesmaid dress. Another one of the bridesmaid also dropped heres off at the same time and needed a bit more work down, but our dresses ended up being finished around the same and look amazing.

Toni and her team are simply the best! I entrusted her with my wedding dress and she made it spectacular. Even when the dress was ordered in the wrong lace, she worked her magic!

Toni was so patient and wonderful to work with! I was nervous about the fit of my dress because after the first try on after getting it from the dress shop it was very low cut, but Toni suggested things to make me feel comfortable and make sure the dress still looked elegant. Such a wonderful experience! They were able to accommodate the times I needed and also the several appointments I needed for fittings. UPDATE: I am updating my review from 1 star to 3 stars. I was in touch with Toni + Kathy around these frustrations and they did work diligently to correct the issue. They offered to fix the alterations, but in the meantime we decided to cancel our wedding part 2, so they did instead refund me for the cups and bustle which was greatly appreciated.I had very high hopes for my experience here based on my research and reviews - but unfortunately I would not recommend or return here.My dress required simple alterations: one shoulder strap adjustment, cups, hem and bustle. This totaled over $400.CUP situation -- during my appts, I struggled with the cup situation as I have a large bust, and the cups were not covering what they needed to. Upon my second appt and expressing my concerns, my seamstress did not offer solutions and instead blamed the illusion style of my dress. When I requested larger cups for coverage, she expressed that was the largest option. Knowing that larger w/ less padding must exist in the market, I asked if I could amazon/ purchase some, and she told me there wasnt time for this. After more questioning + pushing from me - she magically found other cups that were a better option. I am super disappointed with how hard I had to push for a solution and I believe the seamstress should have been responsible for this. The situation was fine when I picked my dress up, but somehow on my wedding day it was a disaster. Im not sure if the cups just werent tacked in well enough or what - but we were cutting out padding that was showing everywhere 30 min before my ceremony.BUSTLE situation -- upon picking up my dress, my seamstress showed my friend how to do the bustle and we took a video. She only bustled part way on the right. In hindsight, I should have asked the whole thing to be bustled. Alas, on my wedding day, the left side of the bustle was incorrectly done, and the left side dragged and I had to hold my dress in order to walk/ dance. (We checked + rebustled several times, and I can confirm that it was the bustle itself and not that we were hooking it incorrectly).Attached are some images showing the left side dragging on the ground, and in turn ending up very dirty. Overall, incredibly disappointed with my experience, results, and cost here. Unfortunately I will have to spend MORE money elsewhere to have this corrected for my Wedding Part 2 next year.

Toni did a wonderful job altering my wedding dress! She was patient at my fittings and listened to my concerns. My dress was strapless with lace details at the top, and she made sure all the beading stayed intact and all the lace details laid smoothly. My dress fit absolutely perfectly for my wedding, and I loved the way I looked in it!

Toni is wonderful! She met with me three times to discuss and alter my dress to ensure it fit beautifully for my wedding. I bought the dress off the rack, so Tonis team worked hard to ensure it could be tailored to fit my figure. The hem was raised, the shoulders shortened, and bra cups installed. She also had it professional cleaned, along with steaming my veil. The experience was easy, smooth and highly professional. Id recommend them to any bride. Even after my wedding, she wanted to see pictures to make sure that the dress met my expectations.

Tony is truly fantastic at what she does. I came to her just two months ago in a panic for my dress to be altered and she was able to take out my zipper and put in a lace up and a bustle very quickly. She is also very willing to come in early and work with your schedule which was wonderful. My dress now fits me perfects and I can marry the love of my life in the perfect dress. I would absolutely recommend her if you are needing bridal alterations!

I got my grandmothers vintage wedding dress altered here for my own wedding. I was so glad that I chose this alterations shop. Toni is really a master and altered the dress perfectly without changing its original character. She is flexible and easy to work with and knows so much about how to get the effect you want with fabric. Highly recommended.

First off, Toni works wonders on gowns! My dress was covered in intricate beading at the top and I had a hard time filling it out at the top as well. She made it look seamless and my gown fit me perfectly! She altered it to perfection and in such a timely manner! Toni made me feel so comfortable and helped me feel like a thousand bucks in the finished product. She also added my grandma’s gown and my mother’s hat to the inside of the gown for that special touch. Toni even helped me with making it so easy to preserve my gown. Toni and her team came highly recommended by my bridal salon, Bridal and Formal. I needed my dress altered rather quickly and they delivered! I had to add a clasp in the back, have bra cups sewn in, have the hem shortened and the train taken off. It was perfect and fit like a glove! They steamed my dress and veil too. It fit perfectly and looked great for my big day. I actually just dropped my dress off after the wedding to have it cleaned and preserved. They ship it to you so its super convenient. I cant wait to see the results!

My wedding dress alterations went better than I could have ever imagined. I was nervous finding the right place because of all the horror stories I’ve heard.Toni is so delightful, sweet, and she really knows her stuff. She would place pins in the dress while I had it on so she knew where it needed to be sewn to. She always made sure I was happy with what it looked like and how it fit before she would sew that change. If something didn’t look right she would let me know and show me ways of how to fix it. After the 2nd fitting she told me to bring someone with me the next time to show them how to do the bustle. She let me mom video tape her doing it so she could bustle my train the night of the wedding.She made sure my dress was pressed when I picked it up the final time and even offered to press my veil. After trying it on the final time she looked at the hook and eye and said she wanted to change it out to something stronger. It didn’t break, but since I had a strapless dress and it was heavy she wanted to make sure there was no chance of it breaking that whole day. She even had me bring a bed sheet to wrap it around the dress when I left to keep it clean but so it wouldn’t get wrinkled. She thought of everything and there isn’t anything I would have changed about my dress. I was so happy with it all! Her prices are very reasonable which was nice being on a strict budget.

I love this place ! Came in December for my bridal fitting, was ready quick. I Even came back for bridesmaid dresses. She’s so sweet and makes you feel very comfortable.

I called to schedule a wedding dress fitting. I mentioned to the woman on the phone that I would need my Mothers dress altered. I needed a Saturday and therefore had to schedule out about month (No problem). My plan was to have my mothers dress let out a bit and have the train removed. Upon arriving at my appointment, I was not acknowledged. They acted as if they didnt even know they had an appointment coming in. Then my mother was looking around at some of the items they have on display for purchase while we were waiting for the seamstress. The woman told my mom and I to have a seat about 4 times as if we were children. I was a bit anxious about the fitting to begin with and was talking to my mom about it. The woman overhearing our conversation proceeded to tell me they do not do mother of the bride reconstructions. Then berated me for not mentioning this when scheduling the appointment. She then continued to say it was impossible to find fabrics to match and they couldnt make the dress any bigger. At this point I felt as though she was shaming me for not being able to fit in the dress. Acting as though it would be an impossible task. This woman had no idea I was going to take off the train (extra fabric) or how much bigger the dress even needed to be. What a reception to a potential customer. I then asked if she knew anyone in town who would be able to help. She flat out said no one does that. I left without even seeing Tony. I am not one to leave negative reviews. But no bride should have to leave a fitting in tears. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

If you are a future bride, there is no better place to get your wedding dress altered than by Toni. She is absolutely incredible!! Toni has a calm demeanor and makes the whole alteration experience so lovely (even when it can seem super overwhelming when the dress doesnt seem perfect at first). I was very surprised by my experience here. The last dress I got altered here about 7 years ago was great, but I just got a bridesmaid dress altered and it doesnt look right. First, it wasnt ready on the date they said it would be. Second, when I went to go pick it up the lady told me I couldnt try it on because they were too busy. So I took it home and tried it on and its too big. The wedding is next weekend and I dont honestly want to take it back and get it altered again and pay again for it especially since they took longer than promised the first time. When she first was pinning it, she wasnt going to bring in the top of the dress, even though it clearly was too big, until I mentioned it. She pinned it, but it is still too big now, it gapes in the back and the front. Im so disappointed and dont even want to wear this dress in my friends wedding anymore. Third, the bottom of the dress is tulle, and it looks like part of it got caught on something at the shop and there is a very visible line across the middle part of the dress through the tulle. Unfortunately, I will not be taking my wedding dress here to get it altered like I had originally planned for my wedding coming up. Im very upset and not sure what to do now.

I had my wedding dress alterations done here and they did an amazing job. Very reasonably priced and accommodating. They were able to do a considerable hem and take in the bodice a size in just over two weeks. My dress was nicely pressed and ready to wear when I picked it up. I highly recommend them!

I recently purchased a clutch purse from this adorable alteration shop. They embroidered it with my mother’s monogram, for Mother’s Day. It turned out perfect and exactly how I wanted it. They also had it finished before the Originally due date, which was great. Overall the service and experience was quick, easy and very satisfactory. A couple years prior, I had gotten alterations done with them. And had a wonderful experience that time as well. I highly recommend them and their turn around rate is exceptional.

I got a bridesmaid dress hemmed here and they did a beautiful job. It was so easy to just drop it off and I didn’t need to make an appointment. It took about two and a half weeks so plan accordingly. I could not expect any better service than that provided by Tonis Alterations. Tonis was recommended by Carrie Karibo Bridal Boutique, and I can see why. Needing alterations for my mother of the bride dress, I met a very talented staff member, Audrey. I brought a floor length teal dress into the shop 6 months before a Sept. wedding. I asked if I could pick it up in June, which I did, without trying it on. In August, 3 weeks before the wedding, I tried on the dress, and I couldnt pull the side zipper all of the way up. I emailed Tonis for another appointment and received a reply to just come in anytime. Hoping that Audrey was working that day, I arrived at the shop and Audrey was there. I put on the dress, showed her the dilemma, yet she was able to zip it up perfectly. She said side zippers are sometimes hard to zip by yourself and offered to add a hook and eye, to make it easier to close. On the spot, and in about 3 minutes, Audrey hand sewed an eye hook to perfection. There was not an additional charge. I was impressed not only with the great service, but the personal attention and professionalism shown by Audrey.

I was referred to Toni by another tailor after they couldnt work on my dress because of the intricate detail. With just weeks to go before my wedding Toni got me in quick and I was amazed at her knowledge and willingness to work with me. My budget was tight and even on this she worked with me. She had my dress ready in weeks, just in time for my wedding. She was kind, professional and understanding. I felt welcomed and that I was working with professionals! Thank you TONI and STAFF!

Toni and the other ladies helped my dress fit perfectly with a hem, five-point bustle, and alterations to the neckline/shoulders. I got married shortly after Christmas, and I was impressed with how they handled the holiday schedule and had it ready well before they closed for the holiday, so I did not have to worry about my dress not being ready in time. Communication in this regard was excellent, as was the quality of the alterations. My only issue was that I was not made aware at my initial appointment that I wouldn’t be trying on the dress at my third/final appointment. In other words, I should have brought someone to my second fitting to learn the bustle. Essentially I had to learn my own bustle and attempt to teach it to a bridesmaid while I was wearing the gown on wedding day. Aside from this, an overall positive experience.

Best tailor in the city, have had darting added to pencil skirts, dresses hemmed and wool and fur coats re-lined. Superb work every time and worth every penny!

I was able to have it steamed/pressed and picked it up a few days before the wedding. Toni did a great job hemming my dress, adding a bustle, taking in the bodice, and adding bra cups so that I wouldnt have to worry about pulling up a strapless bra! She was very professional and friendly to my sisters and me! I will definitely use her again if I need alterations!

When researching places to have my wedding dress altered, I became nervous after reading some crazy stories. Upon finding Tonis website I read MANY positive reviews, which was reassuring that I was going to the right place. One place I had taken it to at the beginning of my search had told me that they could not do what I asked (take my dress in around the hips, mermaid style). I told Toni this when I tried my dress on for her- her response was I can do whatever you would like to your dress, that is the way it should be! She is very professional and has beautiful craftsmanship. I am very pleased with my experience with Alterations by Toni and even brought my dress back to Toni to be cleaned and preserved. I was referred to go to Alterations by Toni by a family friend when getting my bridesmaids dress altered for my sisters wedding. She and her staff did a great job on the bridesmaids dress and a perfect job on my sisters wedding dress. I brought mine there to be altered there as well. I used Toni to do alterations on my wedding dress for my wedding in April. She was amazing! She got my dress done in a very reasonable amount of time and it fit absolutely perfect on my wedding day! I had a great amount of detail on my dress and she was able to do all the work and still be very affordable! I had a friend who had less detail on her dress and still paid hundreds more than I did. They do get very busy during wedding and prom season, so make sure you give yourself AT LEAST a month from when you need your item !

Alterations by Toni did a great job on my wedding dress! My dress had a lot of intricate lace so it was very amazing to see the whole process. I also had a bridesmaids dress altered there. Great job, great service. They also do monogramming and other cute stuff so if you are looking for gifts for bridesmaids and flower girls, they have a nice little selection!

Toni did an amazing job altering my wedding dress. I was an out of town bride, but Toni made the process so easy. I was in town two or so months before the wedding for a fitting, and then picked it up the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding. Everything was perfect and my dress fit wonderfully!

I recently took 3 suit pants to here to be altered. The timing on my need for alterations was largely due to my Dads wedding. I used to take my clothes to be altered to either another alterations business on the west side or to Macys where I usually purchase clothing. I looked up Tonis by searching for an alterations place near my home in Reading.I walked in, was greeted, was quickly assessed wearing the clothes and 2 weeks later, my suit pants fit excellently! Im very impressed with how easy this whole process was and I have to say, from my research, their pricing isnt too expensive either.Well worth coming here! Im definitely a believer in this business!

Toni and her team are fantastic! I live on the other side of town and will drive the 30 minutes (during rush hour) to get to her!I have had multiple bridesmaids dresses altered and have never had an issue picking them up on time. The most recent dress I had altered with her staff was just yesterday. I am pregnant (and growing!) and her team was not scared to help me out. I took the dress in to her office 2 weeks ago with my fingers crossed they could help me. I tried on the dress yesterday (that once fell completely OFF of me) and it fit like a glove.All staff members are courteous, attentive, and they never rush through fitting appointments. I am so appreciative of Toni and never consider going to anyone else!

As soon as I called she got me in for an appointment for my bridal gown the very next day. Toni was impressively familiar w/ the designer of my dress, & totally transformed the gown w/ the bustle. Toni and her team were fantastic to work with and extremely detailed when altering my wedding dress. They were also incredibly accommodating of my timeframe - because I live in Denver but left my dress in Cincinnati with Toni, I could do my final fitting just a week before my wedding. When my wedding dress did not arrive on time, I became a bit of a nervous bride. I called Toni to make an appointment and let her know that the timing would be a little tight. She was incredibly professional and put me at ease, letting me know there would not be a problem. I knew at once that I was in good hands. When my dress came in (one month before my wedding day!), Toni scheduled me for two fittings in a very short amount of time. She made my dress look perfect, which was no easy task with pleatings, corset, and bustle. Her work was high quality, and the dress fit so comfortably by the final fitting. On my wedding day, I could hardly wait to get in it! Toni was one of my favorite finds during my wedding season, and I look forward to doing business with her again - though I will try to leave her more time to spare in the future.

Had two pairs of jeans altered here to shorten the lengths and adjust the fit to be more trim. The first pair were trimmed too much and squeezed my calfs when I put them on. Fortunately the seamstress had left adequate material inside the legs so they could let them back out a little, and after that they fit perfectly. The second pair were modeled after the first so they were fine the first time around. I offered to pay the extra service on the first pair of jeans as I had tried them on and agreed on how much I wanted to the legs trimmed, so I didnt hold Tonis responsible for the outcome. But they declined and said they were only interested in me being happy with wearing the jeans. That made a big impression on me and I will be returning here in future. Prices reasonable. The turn around time was a bit long at two weeks, however it was the middle of fall wedding and high school homecoming season (I was swamped among dress fittings each time I came in!) and anyways the quality was worth the wait.

I cannot recommend Alterations by Toni more highly! I have gotten three formal dresses altered here in the past year: a short bridesmaid dress altered in the bodice, and two gowns hemmed. Audrey is very friendly and easy to work with. With my crazy schedule, its great to know of a place that is happy to take walk-ins. Two of the dresses I dropped off needed quick turn-around, and Alterations by Toni delivered, with fantastic results. Before finding Alterations by Toni, I had tried other shops in the Cincinnati area and I would just say...beware! Tonis prices are reasonable and you definitely get what you pay for. Friendly staff, quality work, and quick turn-around...what else could you ask for in a tailor shop?

I have gone to Tonis for all of my dress alterations since my high school graduation in 2004. So - when it came time to have my wedding dress altered, I knew right where to go! I thought I would humor myself and ask the bridal store owner who they recommended just to see what they said and OF COURSE they recommended Toni! I should have known! Toni altered ALL but 2 of the dresses for our wedding and she did an AMAZING job. My gown fit absolutely perfectly and the bustle she recommended for my dress couldnt have been better. She and her team were incredibly patient with all of my bridesmaids as they worked through issues on the skirt of their dresses. And... the icing on the cake... she even bailed us out first thing in the morning the day before the wedding when one of the sleeves on my grooms tux was too short! There is no one better for alterations in this city!
