My 2001 CLK 430 cab Ive had since new was close to 50k miles last year, so I wanted my baby checked out. All my car guy friends, including the other German brands, said Precision was the place to go with your MB. Period! Long story short, took my CLK there and became a lifer. Almost happy I had a problem today with my 2016 E350 since out of warranty it just got towed to Tyler and crew. They arranged the flatbed, telling me only company they use. THAT is how you run a business.

It’s been quite a few years since I sold my Mercedes, but Tyler was always able to fit my car in when I needed something done. He was consistently no B.S. and I value that immensely. If and when I buy another Mercedes, I guarantee I’ll be having Tyler and the crew check it out. I went to many dealerships and shops with my SLK but Precision Motorcars was by far superior in service, price, and honesty.

In my search for an independent shop with the expertise to service my 18 year old Mercedes, I came across Precision Motorcars and am glad I did. I brought my car in on 11/1/2019 for routine maintenance, including replacing the coolant. During my visit, I mostly spoke with Ina and Frank, the technician assigned to work on my car. I was very impressed with their knowledge of and passion for the Mercedes brand. While inspecting my vehicle, Frank found a small transmission fluid leak coming from the seal around an electrical connector. He gave me the information I needed to determine whether the work could wait or not. I opted to have the work done, and it was completed promptly. I like that they use genuine Mercedes parts when available. I will definitely use Precision Motorcars in the future.

I visited Precision Motorcars today with new-to-me Crossfire today for some preventative maintenance. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, and I was in and out fairly quickly. I will return in the future.

Highly recommend. Tyler and company are honest and operate with the highest of integrity. They fully explain what my car needs, and more importantly what it does not need as compared to the local dealers who try to constantly up sell their products. I have dealt with Precision Motors for over fifteen years and encourage anyone who cares about their Mercedes-Benz to pay them a visit. They will exceed your expectations.Scott S.

Small shop but knowledgeable staff, skilled mechanics, with honest and fair pricing. Not the cheapest shop in the city seeing as they make sure to use official Mercedes-Benz parts (when available) but their work usually comes with a warranty on the part sold for up to a year or 10,000 miles which is not something Ive heard of from any other mechanic, and is well worth it given the peace of mind that the people handling your car have a genuine passion and love of old Mercs. Looking at their website theyve also done beautiful restoration work on historic show cars like Alfa Romeo and even Ferrari, so their knowledge of classic import autos is quite varied and extensive.

Definitely check this place out. I needed some miscellaneous work done to my older Mercedes, most notable of which was the transmission was having issues after I had replaced the engine. I was prepared to spend the money to get a rebuilt one and swap it in myself, likely many months in-process at the rate I work. I called up the dealer first to get estimates on what such a job would cost to have done, they seemed to want nothing to do with me or my car, so I went on a search for a good independent shop. I was referred to Precision by another shop near my house that didnt feel confident in the job, and I am glad that such a recommendation was made. I contacted them and quickly got into an encouraging conversation with Tyler regarding my concerns with the vehicle and discussing the work that would be needed.I was able to drive the car to the lot, and immediately upon pulling in I knew I had picked the right place. Tyler had Paul work on it due to the age and model of the car, and was extremely transparent throughout the whole process. After initial investigation, Tyler mentioned some additional work that would be required in parallel with the transmission work, and noted several other things.Within about two and a half weeks, the work (which included pulling the transmission and what was referred to as exploratory surgery) was completed and I was told my car was ready to pick up. I picked up the car, paid the invoice, and drove it home, and put many miles on it in the following few days out of pure joy that my old car was finally able to move well under its own power again! They fixed every concern I had with the car, including some leaks, and made well and sure it did not leak any fluids from anywhere. The car now leaves absolutely no trace on the garage floor or parking lots that perhaps an old Mercedes may exist there. How rare is that? Well, I expect not so rare if youve had your Mercedes serviced here.Highly recommend, definitely coming back if I ever need any work I cant take on myself done to my old Mercs. I hope they can continue to provide this level of quality service into the future. Top notch staff, fair pricing, good work.UPDATE:It is now about a year later, and my 1990 300CEs transmission continues to perform like the day I picked it up from the shop. That is about 5,000 miles since it was worked on, using it as an around-town runabout in good weather. Still shifts strong and works well, the repair seems to have lasted.

My husband bought a used Mercedes CLS550 in December and he loves it. We have always taken our vehicles to an independent repair shop rather than a dealership, so I went about looking for a Mercedes service & repair shop. My previous mechanic said that they have really good mechanics at Precision Motorcars, so I took it to them for our 20,000 mile service. The car had been sort of shuddering while applying the brakes since not long after we got it. This was odd to us since it has low miles and was a certified pre-owned vehicle. Tyler told us that both the front and rear rotors had rust as though the car had been sitting for months before we bought it. Since the dealership we bought it from is in Reading, Pennsylvania, we couldnt go to them even though this should have been caught and fixed during the certification process. Tyler suggested that we just do the front brakes and see if that took care of the problem because we might not need to do the back ones. He was correct and this saved us $555 as I was prepared to replace both the front and back. The final amount for the service was slightly less than I expected for the work we had done based on Tylers quote and the car runs like a dream and glides to a stop once again. We will be going back for future service.

Worst mechanics in Cincinnati. It is not just bad work. It is what they do when they screw up. I went there to have work done on my Mercedes. The first order of business was to replace old fuel lines and glow plugs. I asked them to check for a freon leak with a UV light while engine compartment was opened up. I had just topped off the A/C with a can of dye. They called to pick it up and the bill was doubled. I asked him why and they said they had evacuated and recharged the A/C which increased the bill. I reminded them that I only wanted them to check for a leak but nothing else. They agreed to take the A/C service off my bill. When I picked up my car the climate control was turned off and I didnt notice because I alway leave it on! The next day I turned on the A/C, hot air and EC light came on the control panel. I called Mercedes and discovered the EC light means you have low or no freon. I called back Precision Motorcars about the EC light and they said it was empty when I brought it in so they pulled out the freon since I wasnt paying for it. The only thing they did as a free customer service was pull the freon out of my car. I do know of more issues(read more). I hope this is enough. Stay away!!!!!!Rebuttal: They charged me for fuel line replacement and glow plug installation which I paid. It is interesting that they can remember that I supplied the parts for the glow plugs correctly and not about my request for a UV light dye check(never done). The A/C system was working when I dropped the car off. The reason I am commenting now is I have found out that they stripped the head on one of the intake torx bolts and cross threaded one of the bolts on the intake mount. The work had been done so long ago I can not take them to court. I will be happy to provide pictures and parts to verify my claims. I have the bill from Mercedes Benz where I immediately had the A/C system recharged. So if it was the main order of business with Precision Motorcars .to work on the A/C system why would I pay Mercedes Benz to do the same job? Why did I expect my A/C to be working after leaving the shop? Why did Precision Motorcar take the time and effort to pull the freon out? The A/C system leak was minimal at best requiring only one can of dye to bring the A/C back to full strength. Please ask yourselves What are they going to do to my car? and What will be the next misunderstanding?.Unfortunately and unknowingly I purchased a Mercedes CLK Precision Motorcars had worked on. I was driving the car two months after this repair and the idler pulley shattered shredding the serpentine belt. Fortunately I heard something and shut the car off before it destroyed the engine. I checked the maintenance records and found out Precision Motorcars had just replaced a bad tensioner pulley. I looked up the repair on the Alldata Repair guide(Reference for auto repair work) and it clearly says that when replacing either the tensioner or idler pulleys you should do both. This is only seriously important because these pulleys going bad will cause the car to break down, possibly overheat and do damage to the engine. I did not take the Mercedes CLK back to them for the idler pulley repair.

A better alternative to the dealership as the could answer mechanical questions the dealer could not. Hands on staff were all very professional.
