The most flawless healthcare appt Ive ever had - both the front desk and the doctor were equal parts friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was in and out before I knew it, and with more knowledge about my eyes than Ive ever had in my entire life! Highly recommended.

Great service on both ends. I want to give Dr Patel and Maria 10 stars for their comprehensive services. I was prescribed a progressive for the second time. My 1st pair was subpar, but this new smart lens that Maria suggested works some wonders, I also ordered a 2nd pair for my computer work which also works great. I dont feel dizzy as I walk its so comfortable and soothing to look through this lens. Furthermore the selection was exceptional and great price point. I do understand what it takes for them to take time to get their orders in, hence we cant rush perfection. I highly recommend them. Thank you Dr Patel and Maria.

Avoid.You will wait for your glasses min. 2 weeks. It happened twice to me.I explained that I needed glasses for work after cataract surgery. My eyes are all red and in pain now because I have to wear chip Walgreens +2 glasses for work with computer and reading documents.The reason for that is they ship glasses to laboratory in Florida!!!First time it took 2 weeks to get progressive lenses glasses, but they didnt work for me. I returned them and now I am waiting another 2 weeks for bi-focal glasses that should work.Had I known beforehand I would have never asked them to do the service. Just avoid, you will save time and frustration.Thank you.

Four Eyes, Store number 01001, Magnificent Mile/ Michigan Avenue, in Chicago, solved my contact lens frustration. After hours online, with numerous Optical stores, I was beyond frustrated. Trying to submit my new contact prescription, not one website had the contact my Dr prescribed. Feeling overwhelmed, I was referred to Maria/ Four Eyes, by the Walgreens on Jackson/ Wacker. Thank you, Maria, for setting up my new account and for future contact lens orders.

Pretty good experience. I got a broken frame and was looking for if there is any new frame that woud fit my lens. Staff there was able to come up with a range of selections and actually put my lens in to have me try them.

Had a lovely (first) visit to this location for my eye exam & new glasses--highly recommend! The receptionist Maria was super sweet & informative; she put me right at ease and immediately gave me the impression that I made the right choice in coming to *this* Walgreens Optical location.The same can be said of Dr. Patel. She answered all my questions thoroughly, professionally, & was super friendly and engaging. My exams were a breeze & her patience definitely reinforced how well-suited she is for this line of work.However, the best thing about my visit was when it came time to choose my glasses. They have a beautiful offering, yes. But I did come alone to my visit and didnt bring my husband, a friend, or coworker to get an opinion on how the glasses looked on me. Dr. Patel saw this, came up to me, & asked me what I was looking for. I had so much fun trying on different glasses with her and trusted that she was giving me her honest opinion. Dr. Patel and her team are great and I would recommend anyone that is looking for an eye doctor to consider going to Walgreens Optical at 410 N. Michigan Ave. Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and addresses any concerns you may have. The other teams members are great as well they greeted me with a smile and helped when needed. I purchased some Kenneth Cole eye glasses and there was not pressure to sell me the latest and greatest which I really appreciate. They gave me their honest opinion on the glasses I looked at. I went to the Walgreens Optical in the Wrigley Building Walgreens for eye exam and glasses. After years of being a Pearle Vision customer I decided to give Walgreens Optical a try. I was very impressed with the staff and inventory of glasses to choose from. The optometrist Dr. Patel was very professional and thorough in my eye exam. The staff members were also professional and very courteous. All in all I was very pleased with my experience there. I will continue to go there and recommend this facility to my family and friends.

I needed to get a new pair of glasses and the staff at this location helped me to select a frame for my budget. The staff was very friendly and courteous, and I would definitely come back next year for another exam (unless I have an eye infection, then Ill go back sooner). Not to mention the full exam was very affordable for someone who doesnt have insurance. Dr. Patel was very thorough during my eye exam. She took her time and examine my eyes carefully. I really appreciate the optical team at this Wrigley Building.If I have an eye infection, this is definitely the optometrist that Ill see. I would prefer to seek expert opinions from a trusted optometrist than a nurse practitioner of a retail clinic.Wish they open on Saturdays. I had to take my daughter to another Walgreens Optical because they were closed. She got a pair of Hello Kitty lens for a reasonable price and she loves it sooooo much!

I have had glasses and contacts since the 5th grade. I have gone to my fair share of eye exams from a variety of different eye doctors. My glasses and contacts exam with Dr. Patel along with the help from her staff was probably the best experience Ive had when it comes to optics. They were very patient and also transparent with the costs. Dr. Patel explained everything she was doing as we progressed and was extremely informative. They didnt try to push me to buy anything but explained cost and what I would be paying for and waited patiently as I decided whether I wanted to purchase something or not. I will definitely be coming back for an all around extremely pleasant and the best experience!

Amazing customer service! My sight changed out of nowhere because of up-close computer strain which gave me intense headaches to the point where I couldnt be productive. They have good exam prices out of pocket compared to others, and the doctor helped me exactly how I needed; I wish the previous eye store I had gone to had prescribed me long distance and computer glasses so this strain wouldnt have caused the issue that had me running to Walgreens! I was long over due for prescription glasses. Barbara and Dr. Patel were great! They helped my shop the buy one get free promo. Dr. Patel did a quick and easy eye exam while Barbara helped me pick out 2 new frames. They both were informative about all the inclusions on the deal. I love my stylish frames that go perfect with all of my makeup and wardrobe looks.

I originally visited this location when I was referred by the Walgreens clinic for eye irritation. At that time, the optometrist suggested that the contacts I was given by another company were not ideal for me, and I decided to come back for my annual exam.It was easy to schedule my exam online, and I appreciated the advice I got about both contacts and glasses, and found new frames that I liked as well. Overall, I felt like I got great service and good information about eye health.

I got the best eyeglasses I’ve ever had, and a years worth of contact lens at a price that was WAY less than my previous optometrist. Plus I didn’t have to wait weeks for my eyewear. I just ordered it and BOOM it arrived. The staff here is amazing. The optometrist is wonderful. They treat you like you are a valued customer. What’s not to like? Do yourself a favor and switch to Walgreens Optical.

Great experience here. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They explained everything that would be covered during my eye exam as well as answering any questions I had. This has literally been my best eye doctor experience ever. From the moment you walk in, the staff is incredibly helpful, eager to assist, and so happy! Then, you actually see the doctor the entire time, the doctor is incredibly informative and kind, and I genuinely learned things about contacts I had never known before. I rarely post reviews, but just had to here because everybody needs to know, this place is amazing!!!

Im so glad I booked an appointment to come to this office. Just getting a checkup on my eyes that were having irritation was half the cost here than my regular doctor, while being able to book an appointment the day before! Before I had mentioned to Dr. Patel that I hated my contacts, she informed that the contact lenses I was using were more lower quality than many other different contact lenses. It was refreshing to see an eye doctor that used facts to explain the difference in quality that contact lenses brands are. I think Ive found a new regular eye doctor office!

Absolutely fantastic and phenomenal experience for something that I squeezed in hours earlier because my eyes have been bothering me. Dr. Patel, Kevin and Barbara delivered outstanding service that I wasnt anticipating. They each took time to explain the process of what they were doing and why it was important. Dr Patel took time making sure she explained what tests were for while thoroughly checking my eyes and patiently answering questions. Kevin and Barbara were extremely helpful in finding complementary frames for my face that matched what I wanted/price range. After years of going to one of the top ophthalmologists in the country and other optometrists I was extremely happy with this experience with Dr Patel and staff. Definitely give them a try you will not regret it!! Then you will want to tell everyone too!

Best experience for Optical care that I have had in a long time. The entire staff and service was fantastic. I am not one to wear glasses every day and because of their selection, I bought 2 pairs and will now plan on wearing them more. I will definitely be scheduling my yearly exam through them!

Staff was great knowledgable, and quick to help. Also impressed by how quickly I was able to receive my contacts which normally take 3-4 weeks, but was able to get them in less than 1 week.

They do a nice job with the exam, quality equipment, nice staff. If you wear contacts and are going for an exam, it will cost you more than it states on the website. I would call ahead or just be prepared for double the charge.

The people working at the desk were so friendly and helpful. The eye doctor I had -- I cant seem to remember her name -- was so nice and sweet and went above and beyond. Im going to keep going there.

I went in to find a repair kit to fix my (very broken) sunglasses on a sunny day, and was surprised to find the full-service optical counter upstairs. I asked If they sold repair kits and instead of just pointing me to the kits, Henry asked why I needed it and ended up just fixing (and cleaning) my sunglasses for me. He was very kind and helpful.

Walgreens Optical is a phenomenal place for an eye exam and to purchase frames. Dr. Rogoff was excellent answering questions and conducting the exam. David and barbara are outstanding in their profession and will help with frame measurements and style suggestions, They also help you pick the best frames/contacts and answer any questions regarding insurance coverage. I will enjoy returning to Walgreens Optical as long as I am in Chicago. You will not be disappointed with the service or care given here. I strongly suggest giving them a try!.

Easy with competitive prices. The WGO team worked together seamlessly to streamline the process of caring for my eyes. Prices were in line with what Id been spending at Wal-Mart in the suburbs. So why not take care of my regular checkup downtown on my lunch hour or right after work? Sold!

It was my first experience at Walgreens Optical and I was welcomed warmly by the ladies attending the desk. Maria Herrera helped me get comfortable and expediting the process by taking my preliminary information. She was very knowledgable and willing to answer all my questions. I was then moved to the exam room where I met Doctor Patel. Again, I received a warm welcome and we got straight to business. The examination was qucik and seamless. Dr. Patel explained the reasons behind all of the parts of the exam and encourgaed participation with positive affirmations. I appreciate all of the help from the staff and am excited to have found my new eye doctor as a new Chicago resident!

As good as it gets!All changes savedWhen I first moved back to Chicago a little over a year ago I decided to go back to my old optometrist located in Andersonville - when did they get so snobby and very expensive???Flash forward to this February 2019 and I am buying my cleanser/moisturizer from Walgreen upgraded beauty department and I now I frequent Sephora less and am getting great products and customer service!While I was buying my items I noticed a little magnet by the cashier for Walgreens Optical, part of me was like Walgreens really??? then half was like might be better than the other place. From making my appointment, checking in, front desk staff and assistant to Dr. Patel everyone was polite, efficient and exactly what I needed. On top of that they were not charging an arm and a leg like the fru fru place. Never understood why. I upgraded my lenses, got them in the prescribed week and was given a call to let me know when they were ready and when I would like to pick them out. The check-out was great! My frames came back in perfect shape the lenses were exactly what I needed. I got all the goodies one needs when they get new glasses/lenses and I left feeling taken care of.Check out Walgreens Optical - so worth it plus you can go shopping afterwards :)

Dr. Quan is as great as they come. I had Lasik 10 years ago and thought I would never have to wear glasses again...until i started to notice that my vision was blurring up a bit at the computer and early in the morning. I was able to walk in and get seen in under 15 min. The office manager Kevin was very knowledgeable and explained what each of the tests he performed were for. The doctor explained that Lasik wasnt permanent, but I have the option of having an enhancement or computer glasses to help with the blurry vision. He was so thorough and patient with me and all my questions during my exam. Kevin helped me find a decent pair of glasses that I am considering, but strongly thinking about that enhancement (vanity, ya know?) But I must say that the service and level of professionalism was top notch and I will be recommending all of my friends to stop in and see them. Thank you Dr. Quan and Kevin!

My experience here has been a mess. Dr. Patel was fine but said my eyes have gotten better (YAY) sent me off with a trial pair of the new script. Turns out they didn’t and I couldn’t see for most of my work shift after my appointment. Had already paid for my contacts so I called the next day to cancel the order and get a new script and my eyes dialated.10 minutes before arriving at my appointment two days later they call me and say they’ll have a new trial pair at the front desk. Get there and Maria straight up says “oh you again” (she seemed miffed maybe she gets commission?) Doesn’t have the trial pair ready and gets them from the back, hands them to me and then walks in the back. Doesn’t come back out and I leave after 10 minutes (no follow up appointment I guess then?) get home and realize they also aren’t the script I asked for (the one I’ve been wearing for 10 years) figure screw it they’re good enough and I can see well enough at night to drive though not 20/20 and just want this to be done with.Call back the next day to order my correct script since they already have my money. Kevin is nice but repeats back the script I can’t see at night with and I tell him no I want my original script and tell him what it is. Ok cool, should get them the next day. Next day arrives and they sent me the script I can’t see at night in. Call Kevin again and he reads back the script I can at least see at night in and says THOSE should arrive the next day. Next day comes and I get the good enough script (though not the one I wanted) as well as a third set of the useless script. So now I’m 6 boxes of contacts deep, only 2 boxes are of a script I can even use and none of them the script I wanted (the one I’ve had for 10 years) Never sent any labels for me to mail any of the wrong ones back like they said they would and I never got my eyes dialated or the script I wanted after a week and a half of me dealing with them.So in summary this optical department is a mess, I don’t understand how I can deal with three different people over the course of a week and a half and not get the script I wanted. For being a flagship location this experience was really unprofessional and I’m honestly embarrassed for this whole department. I gave a star in that it is a store and physically exists and a second one for receiving services even if they aren’t what I asked for and I’m not happy with them but at this point I wouldn’t trust them with pointing me to a bottle of Tylenol so I’m not even going to go back to get ANYTHING from a Walgreens period. Seriously you have one job and apparently no body at this location can do it other than run a debit card. 🙄Update: One star now because the good enough contacts are causing me problems. Why can’t they just give me what I’m asking for? Literally everyone there is fighting me on my script, just avoid this place all together

Went to Michigan ave walgreens optical, saw Dr. Patel in April who went really fast in my appoinment - took the prescription and walked out the door.wanted a follow up appointment booked online with her, got a confirmation email telling me she was going to see me and then the day of, found out she wasnt even available and no one feom the staff called me to let me..just expecring me to be ok with the other doctor, in addition I think Kevin should be FIRED by his lunprofessionalism on the phone and straight out rudenes. Asked to speak to someone else, told me he was there alone. So I called again and got someone else by the name of Barb, so he flat out lied to me when on the phone, then Bard told me that she needed to hang up the phone on me bc she was with someone..when the proper reaponse should have been, can I call you back or something...but no she just flat out hung up the phone on me. What a bunch of flacky unprofessional people. I cant wait to call corporate and get these people fired!!
