Visited this place for the first time today and had a great experience. Came in for an exam at 11:30am and now I’m picking up my prescription at 2pm - never thought it would be so fast and good!!

If you wear expensive glasses or are used to people who know what they are doing, stay away. After having had my $1000 spectacles held hostage for nearly a year during COVID, they then lost my prescription… then gave me sunglasses (which I never ordered). Having had to send them back again, I had to order new lenses, which cracked down the center within a month (with no pressure or impact). After ordering replacements; one and a half years later, the store clerk tried to cold (without heating up the acrylic frames) push out the lenses, nearly breaking the expensive frames I bought elsewhere. After which handed them back to me with thumb prints all over them, saying they needed to go to the lab to be replaced. I said no and didn’t want to leave my glasses with them any longer, not trusting that they knew what they are doing, gave them to my regular optometrist (custom eyes) in river north. If you have any awareness of how spectacles are made or what quality lenses are, go elsewhere. The store sells cheap garbage and they have no idea what they are doing .

Awesome service! Bought eyeglasses here a few years ago through insurance. They honored their warranty when I had any issue with the frames/lenses during the warranty period & when I called just now to see if they had the PD still on file, they did and they were able to give it to me. Also the styles they carry are very stylish and they are flexible about ordering in styles for you to try. Highly Recommended!

Dr. Evan and his staff are great. Very knowledgeable, take the time to talk you through all the adjustments theyre making to your frames, answer questions about your exam, and work with you for insurance benefits. Highly recommended as your primary eye care physician.

Im just outside of Kansas City Mo. And was on vacation in July and my glasses broke and I took my broken glasses to them and found me some frames and in the same day walked out with a new pair and was able to enjoy our vacation. We are on vacation in Chicago and stupid me dropped my sunglasses and a lens popped out. I couldnt get it back in to save my life. We walked by AccuVISION and stopped in and asked if they could help. They stepped right up to the challenge and gave my glasses to their optical tech guy. Nicest guy you would ever want to meet and extremely meticulous and skilled. He recognized immediatly that because the lenses were perfectly round and also polarized they had to be installed just right. He took out both lenses and checked the orientation carefully before he replaced them. We were in a hurry to get to a tour and failed to get the young mans name but he is the greatest and we really appreciate his service. And guess what it cost. Nothing. In Chicago, this is the place to go for all of your optical needs.

Great experience at AccuVision on Michigan Ave! I saw Dr. Hapner and he was extremely thorough and helpful in getting me the right contacts/glasses. The entire staff was very friendly, and even accommodated me accidentally coming in at the wrong time for my follow-up contact appointment. The Saturday appointment availability was nice, given weekdays can be very hectic. Overall, would highly recommend!

Honestly, I had a great experience at AccuVISION. The service was friendly, the workers quick, efficient and informative. Dr. Evan Hapner was very impressive as well - he was knowledgable, had a firm handshake, and had a wonderfully friendly demeanor. (Id say great bedside manner if he was a doctor in the hospital but…Im not sure its the same thing when considering its an optometrists office.) The only downside for anyone, that I can think of, is that the lenses can get a tad expensive (it is located on the Magnificent Mile - where most things are often a tad pricey) - so be sure to find a pair that fits your budget and/or your insurance plan. I personally had a fantastic experience and would recommend this place to anyone.
