The manager Reggie, Is absolutely the best! Really his CS skills are off the charts. Always says hello whenever a regular walks in. Always happy. Makes great hiring decisions, As the staff seems to stick around. I have been a regular for 2 years now. Some of the best CS experiences I have ever had have been with this manager. If I was a recruiter looking for professional, friendly CS, I would scoop this guy up easy!

Was my store until the girl told me couldnt use bathroom cause out of order, but watched other able to, go 4 night a week, well never again, and will do all I can to keep others, bad business

I get what I need and not crowded w/ customers everywhere, can shop & take my time .Reasonable prices and a big food selection ad well.

Dont shop there. Management is awful. I have a public video posted of how they treated my elderly senior citizen father. Corporate had them throw a $100.00 gift card at us like that would fix how the management treats their valued customers! Many other stores with better customer service and respect!

Im stunned. This store finally has 2 cashiers. Its progress. The DG has no business offering online pick up when 95% you walk into the store and theres 1 cashier and a long line. I feel bad for the employees. Maybe they are finally going to stop being greedy and hire people. This is the first time ever I have seen 2 cashiers at a DG.

Slow service never enough people on register. Toys always break but expect that for $1. Sometimes great pantry items though.

Employees are always friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that they are frequently out of items.

Shelves were rather empty. Customer service was very good.

I go for a few different things but I save about 4.50, per item lots of cleaners for1.00 know your prices and youll see a good savings on a lot not all auto stuff no deal. But a good place to go none the less.

It was slow the floors were wet even though they were trying to get them up but it was still wet could have broke my neck

Literally the rudest cashier here. I frequent this place often because I live right around the corner. And the cashier whos older, short with a pixie cut(which you need a haircut) greats every customer with a hello even chats with some. Me? Doesnt say a damn word to me! Doesnt say hello, never tells me my total. Today she decided to carry on a conversation with another employee about how the schedule was. Ring changed next week and they didnt like it nor think it was fair. She literally had her back to me while my card was processing and then taking her sweet time to print the receipt.This is NOT the first, second not even the THIRD time shes treated me this way and Im pissed about it. Im a customer just like everyone else who comes into that store and she doesnt even have the decency to LOOK at me.If you dont like your job you should quit. You need to be nice...AT LEAST greet if nothing else every customer who youre ringing out. Its just rude.

My prior review was for the wrong Dollar general. This one on Harlem Road is messy, and the service is not very good.it gives me the impression that it is dirty. I only go here if I am nearby. My favorite Dollar general is on Wehrle Drive. Clean, organized, and the help there is absolutely fantastic. They always say hello when you come in the door and goodbye when you leave. They will go out of their way to help you find something.

Friendly staff, line moved quickly and manager surprisingly opened a register to help out not use to seeing that. Will definitely revisit.

I want to give much praise to the manager, Alyssa, at Dollar General located at 1336 Hertel avenue. I quit going to this location several months ago due to very rude staff & the fact that the store was an absolute pigsty.I was in a hurry on 1/14/19 & ran in expecting total chaos & instead was totally amazed at how clean & organized it was. A staff of 3 people (Alyssa, Charlie & Jerrell) were busily working, organizing, stocking shelves while pleasantly handling customers in line. Many KUDOS to Alyssa who brilliantly figured out a way to solve the mayhem & find more staff hours. I was totally impressed with her work ethics & attitude!!! Keep up the great work girl!

I just called to see if they had an item that the DG closest to me is out of and another one does not carry, but instead of getting a person on the phone, I got a recorded message ON THE FIRST RING that they were busy helping other customers and to try again later! Really??? They can just shut the phone off so they dont have to deal with customers calling with questions??? UNFORTUNATELY THIS DOESNT ALLOW FOR A ZERO-STAR REVIEW!

Parking is nightmare, the local customers are extremely rude and the store has empty shelves because the employee s are lazy.

They always have specials so dont know what youre gonna get at a sale price. Some stores even have a sidewalk sale, real cool.

They need keep floors cleaners.

Usually have no problem with this store as i go here all the time but today my 3yr old son had to pee while we were in the store so i headed to the front to the cashier to see if they could unlock the door but i was confronted with a really long line and only 1 cashier. I then proceed to look for an available associate who then tells me she doesnt have a key only the cashier does. I then tell her hes really busy and my son really has to pee can you help me out? Instead of going up front to get the key or help out the cashier so one of them could unlock the bathroom she says Sorry the cashiers the only one with the key. If i had a key i woulda been opened it for you. Also want to add she was only stocking shelves at the moment. In my opinion she just seemed to lazy to deal with the situation or take the short walk to the cashier to grab a key. The final outcome ended up being my son peeing on the back of the store behind the dumpster smh.

This store always has what i want and the amount i want. Cause i dont like waiting till last min. Cashier was very friendly lady.

Understaffed, long lines and it appears to me an owner who just doesnt care. Union road dollar store ran so much more efficient. I think the put the door on the wrong side of the building on the harlem road location too. The parking lot is brutal. I actually witnessed a crazy woman try to attack a lady in line over where she was parked in the lot. Its like a zoo here. Angry customers and overworked understaffed employees.
