Excellent experience! I have been in the retail sales consulting industry for 30 years, and I must say that the purchase experience with Chris was amazing. Truly professional and supported my decision to buy. The finance process with the finance manager was smooth and professional. Exceeding expectations. I was having another Porsche serviced at this location at the time of my visit and the service staff was top notch. Professional and timely in communication as well as attentive to every detail from the loaner vehicle to the cleanliness of the shop to the completed work. I have always been pleased with my experiences at other Porsche dealerships; however, I will say that Chris and team have earned my future business, and I am recommending the dealership to my contacts. Thanks again!
I had a 4 wheel alignment done today on my 981 Boxster S and I was very impressed with the shop and the service performed. They use state of the art equipment and you can see everything from the lounge area which is very clean and comfortable.People are helpful and super friendly.Very pleased and I will certainly come back.
Yesterday I stopped by this dealership to scope out final options on my 2021 Porsche Macan and was helped by Justin, who I highly recommend working with. While I did not purchase at this dealership (as I am from out of town), I fully intend to have my car serviced here in the future. Justin exemplified the utmost professionalism and care for Porsche, my pending purchase, and ensuring my confidence in the deal I was making with my home dealership.Thank you Justin and Camelot for my experience at Porsche Charleston; I look forward to seeing you both again soon!
Had our Cayenne Hybrid in twice for same reason, last time took 2 weeks (which is understandable with product shortages these days). I cannot give the car 5 stars, but I certainly can the dealership and especially the service department. Nick goes above and beyond to keep his customers satisfied. Very refreshing to work with professionals.
I bought a used Porsche online and I brought it in for inspection to see if I bought a lemon or not. From the waiting room you can see them work. Best 195$ I spent. I have never seen anybody do a more thorough and detailed job. I will come back here for my service!
Always top notch service. I’m impressed I’m how clean the shop is. From the very comfy waiting area you can watch while your car being serviced. It’s a beautiful facility. More importantly the service is great. Communication is top notch. I get text reminders and even after 30 min or so my service rep stopped in the waiting area to give me an update. I chose to wait today as my service wasn’t going to take to long. But they do offer a shuttle service or a loaner if you plan ahead. My car was completed before I could actually finish my review and they washed it and brought it up front for me. Craig Martin deserves a shout out as our service and his manager as well for top notch customer service.
I have had several cars serviced here over the years, they keep getting better snd better on customer service especially at the new building. Working with Service Manager Nick Adams and his team including Craig and others they are friendly, responsive and accommodating. Techs are first rate too. Excellent experience on loaner cars. Just today came in on a PCM question - it needs an update and gave me options of doing it tomorrow and waiting or scheduling at my convenience for a Porsche service loaner. Also while there gave me a quick courtesy wash and interior vacuum. New sales manager has upgraded sales team too. They are very responsive and will certainly talk with them when I’m ready. This store has received the highest recognition by PCNA as they have earned it. Tommy Baker has a first class Porsche facility and now it has a first class team across the board.
I recently visited Porsche Charleston to look at and learn about the Porsche line and had a very positive experience. We met with Karen Ferrari and she was a great navigator and helped us with all of our questions. She turned us over to Cam for a test drive of a 911 Carrera S and we were sold on the car. Karen then made the purchase process simple and efficient. From the time we decided to purchase the car to driving out of the dealership, we spent less than 30 minutes on paperwork and “business.”We were given a great introduction to features and details of the car before we left and have received several follow up calls and texts to assure our satisfaction. Great experience. We highly recommend Porsche Charleston and in particular, Karen to any and all.RT
I just acquired a 2020 Taycan from Baker Porsche. My sales consultant (Karen Ferrari) did an outstanding job. She introduced to the Taycan, compared it to available competition and made me instantly comfortable on the test drive. She worked with her team and as luck would have found me the car with delivery in 2 weeks.Thank you Karen for a job well doneJim B
Baker Porsche gets 5 stars. We bought a 2019 Porsche 911T through the Charlotte dealership and had it shipped from the factory to our home in Charleston. In a nutshell, the car was delivered with some electrical wiring issues that occurred at some point between the factory in Germany and our driveway. I called Nick Adams at Porsche Service and he had us bring the car in immediately. Despite the dealership being in total chaos from moving to the new building and even though we did not buy the car there Nick got the car in immediately and put his lead mechanic on it. Right away Nick was on the phone with Porsche HQ in Atlanta and continued to lobby on our behalf during the entire repair process. Nick saved us an incredible amount of time and money during the repair which ended up taking several weeks. Always professional and courteous he treated my wife and me like we were members of his own family. I have never had a dealership treat me with such respect and I have been in a bunch of them! Our repair job was flawless and we have been enjoying the T ever since. Id like to take this opportunity to thank Nick Adams, Craig Martin, and everyone at the dealership who took care of my wife and me during the repair and continue to welcome us with open arms every time we stop in to visit just to drool over that 911GT2!! Thanks guys....Ron and Val
We bought a Macan and the service is terrible. It was so easy for them to take our cash!!! The car is making noise when I break, the car book is missing and the quarter deck is missing. They shouldn’t be able to be a Porsche dealer. The service is so bad and for sure not VIP.Don’t buy anything from those guys!!!
Top notch service department. I’ve never been treated so well. Best experience I have ever had.
I was on hold for 25mins and no one answered!!
As the only porsche dealer anywhere nearby, they are the only choice. Gleaming showroom and excellent communication regarding service. Every part and service is expensive, but this is not unexpected. Had a 2016 Cayenne transfer case exchange done for free, though. Nice waiting area with snacks and drinks -- the showroom is nice for ogling, too. All the loaners are new porsches. I have not bought a car here but wouldnt mind doing so.
I bought a Certified 2015 Porsche Cayenne Diesel with aprox 50K miles in January 2018. When there was an issue around 76K miles on October 15th 2019 with a check engine light I called the dealership. The dealerships availability for service was several weeks out and was advised to go to advanced auto or auto zone to have my codes read. Thats right, I own a Porsche under warranty and was advised to go to a parts supply store. After determining the issue was with the diesel emissions system and being told their availability was several weeks out, having already been directed to Advanced Auto or Auto Zone for diagnostics I took my car to the highest rated European repair shop in Charleston, SC, European Road and Racing. After spending ~$6,000 having my car fixed with over half the bill in parts from Porsches parts department I was advised by the dealership to submit my bill for warranty reimbursement.I submitted my request for reimbursement as cash or credit towards a new vehicle, via website to Porsche Cars North America. Porsche denied my claim stating the mechanics were not Porsche certified. If Porsches direction was to take my car to advanced auto or auto zone then they would have no grounds as Im confident employees at the parts store they recommended werent Porsche certified either.Undeterred and confident in the facts I filed a written complaint with the BBB pointing out the precedence set by directing me elsewhere for something covered under warranty. I was so confident I started working with the same dealer building out a custom 718 Porsche Spyder. To my complete shock Porsche this time brought in the dealership stating there were no records in their system directing me elsewhere so my assertion couldn’t be true but I have my phone logs and receipts corroborating everything. They said to work with the dealership which also told me their decision was the same as corporate’s. Porsche should be ashamed of themselves. Take it from a military wartime vet, these people have no integrity. BUYER BEWARE!
I have been looking for a new fun car and had been looking at corvettes and my Porsche fanatic friend convinced me to test drive the new 718 Cayman. So I did. Christi the sales person was prompt, courteous, and very helpful. While the 718 was awesome I thought for the price I would like to look at a used 911. Christi checked her inventory and found 2013 911 in my budget and quickly searched the lot and arranged another test drive. I like the 911 just a little bit more but really want a turbo 911. Christi is now hunting for a 911 turbo for me. I have to say the experience has been super refreshing so far compared to other dealers. It feels much more consultative than selling. I might not buy a car from them but even if I dont, I would highly recommend speaking with Christi and her staff if you are in the market for a Porsche.
I recently purchased a 2020 911 Porsche Carrera at Porsche Charleston, part of the Baker Motors group. I was very fortunate to meet and work with Christi McInvale, Sales Manager. Initially I was in pursuit of a pre-owned 911, however the inventory did not include a convertible at that time.Christi recommended a test drive on a pre-owned during our first visit. I was very pleased with the vehicle. Shortly thereafter, we reviewed the features of a new (2020) car vs the 2019 version. She also presented the option to lease. In the long run, Christi demonstrated the value of leasing a new 911 and was able to find the exact color and model I desired.Christi McInvale is an extraordinary sales person with outstanding communication skills; she clearly listened, responded in a timely fashion and was able to procure the exact vehicle I desired.R BlackKiawah Island
Great experience with Scott Stawicki - over the phone we worked out a deal for a Cayman demo they had in 10 minutes and two phone calls. Chris Poplin the finance manager was fantastic as well.
Took my 981 (bought used) in for an engine fault light. Since I didnt buy it from the dealer I was a little apprehensive of how I would be treated. Not to worry, the friendly staff took care of my baby at no cost under warranty. The facility waiting area was excellent with multiple lounge areas depending on it you wanted to watch tv or have a quieter place without it.I was quite impressed and made the whole experience very pleasant.
Please avoid any dealership owned by Baker Motor Company. One of their salesmen sold me a car with serious safety and mechanical issues. It seems like they got the car to run long enough for me to buy it. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and a lawyer. They are scamming customers.
My wife and I expressed interest in a new and/or certified pre-owned Porsche Macan to Porsche Charleston a few weeks ago. They were friendly and knowledgeable during the initial discussions/test drives. We essentially had two options with respect to moving forward - a CPO 2018 Macan or building out a new 2020. There was a cost/value differential based on the CPO status as well as the fact that the Macan underwent a fairly substantial design change in 2019.Fast forward to negotiation with respect to the price, our trade-in was negotitated to a fair, although somewhat low evaluation with respect to KBB. I was asked by our salesman to provide an offer, I did along with several comps with respect to mileage, build, etc. which were in Florida, DC, and Delaware. I requested a price in the middle of the comps, which in reference was only 5% below the MSRP listed. After this request, he instructed my wife (I was at work), and I quote, This isnt Toyota, we are Porsche, we dont negotitate prices. At this point, we moved forward contacting other Porsche dealers in the area. We were texted and e-mailed a day later to see if we had changed our minds, and after stating that they would not negotitate, they lowered the price by 2%. At this point, I let the salesman know that frankly I asked for the price I did based on the evaluation between the depreciation and design difference between the 2018 and 2020, and that a savings of 2% was not sufficient enough. He requested I wait until the next morning to see what he could do, we agreed. The response the next morning was frankly insulting and a continued waste of our time, we were told that maybe we should go to Carmax and see what we could find. We have not communicated since. I understand that Porsche is a luxury brand with a higher price point, and less apt to negotitate then other car dealers. At the same time, theres a right and wrong way to do things, and in our belief, this was an irresponsible and arrogant response. We moved to another Porsche dealer in the area and very easily and comfortably purchased a 2020 Macan with a negotitated price.
Great place! Great folks.....Sorry about whinny people.....It is no Cohencidence.....Comes with the territory....God ybless and keep up the great work!
It has taken 3 months to get the lease paperwork sorted on a Porsche Cayenne. Because Baker were so inefficient and careless with their paperwork, it has not been possible to make lease payments. As of today there is no tag, which after 45 days is illegal.
Didnt really visit inside. Our 18 year old grandson wanted to just go through the parking lot and look at his dream car.
Today I spoke with Mr.Firth he told me i need to leave the dealership without hearing my story. His ACURA manager Jeff is the worst Racist employee I every incountered and Mr.Firth says he has nothing to do with off duty behavior Jeff is literally out off control. But if had purchase today he wouldve gladly sold it to me. The moment i walked into the Dealership Jeff got defensive becasue i was going to tell his Boss about his Racist behavior he the process ti tell Officer were on the way as if did something..This usually happens when some one else in the wrong you cover tracks well Mr.Firth, Jeff. Thank you for lying on the cops for saying im not supposed to be on your Facility to correct and issue and Thank you Mr.Firth for letting me know your not responsible for Managers Behavior..Porsce i hope your uploading a standard thats greater than this im certain itll happen again.
