So, my car got hit by some teenager and his insurance made me take it to this place for repairs. The work was fine and got done in a reasonable amount of time, but thats not why I hate this place.I hate it, because this company sold my contact information to telemarketers without my consent. How do I know? The car I was driving was still owned and insured by my father at the time. So, Midas had his name and address on their records. But since Im the one who drives the car, and we dont even live in the same city anymore, we gave Midas MY cell phone number to call. For context, I live in an apartment, and my dad owns a townhouse some thirty minutes away from me.Almost to the day that I got my car back, I started getting flooded with spam calls from telemarketers asking if they could buy my townhouse. The one on the street where my father lives. This never happened to me before I took my car there, and it is still happening to me over a year later, despite the fact that I have been on the National Do Not Call list since 2010.So, yeah, I guess they know how to fix a car. They also know how to get someone harassed by spam callers on a nearly daily basis for over a year. Screw. This. Company.
Outstanding team. Got a quote at the dealer to replace exhaust manifold that broke. $9,000.00. Also got a quote at a local mom and pop store in Chantilly $12,900. Last ditch effort took it to Midas exhaust and they were able to repair the manifold for under $800.00. So happy I decided to take it here for them to look at it. Will not go anywhere else now.PS Audi wanted to buy it back for $6,000.00. KBB is $12,000.00.
Midas Chantilly was recommended to me by a mechanic that used to work on my car (he is no longer in the area so I needed to find another mechanic I felt I could trust). I have used this shop several times over the last few years, and have found them to be professional, knowledgeable, good at what they do, and honest! Both Mike and Brian have been great! They do quality work and I never feel like they are trying to sell me on services I dont need. I highly recommend Midas Chantilly!.
Excellent as always Im so happy this guys are hard working 👨👩👧💝☺👍👍
Great ppl n friendly does good work wont go any were else but here
Yesterday, I sent in my Volvo XC60 for a rear axel break&rotor replacement. The bill was $850 (750 for the replacement and 100 for the brake flush) and I found it is a total ripoff. They charged $400 dollar for the parts which can be found at the retail price of $40 for the pads and $90 for the rotors at advanced auto part. Moreover, they charged $400 for the labor which seems totally unreasonable, it is very hard to justify this job takes 5 hours ($80 per hour) to finish. But other than the ridiculous price, I am totally satisfied with the service. Both Mike and Brian are great person to talk to, and the job is done in a timely fashion.
They always give honest assessment Ive been going here for 20 years they dont make up anything and theyve always done right by me the prices are reasonable the work top notch sometimes it takes a bit when theyre really busy.
Mike helped answer questions on a vehicle that I was considering purchasing that they serviced for years. Very nice and helpful.
I had the pleasure of doing business with Mike today. He was absolutely wonderful. Drove from Richmond to look at a car for my son and wanted to get it checked out prior to deciding to purchase or not. This shop was highly recommended and I understand why. He was kind enough to squeeze me in at the end of their work day. Thoroughly checked the vehicle. Took time to explain the findings, was professional, personable and seemed very trustworthy. Several customers came in while I was there to pick up their vehicles. All appeared to be regulars as they chatted with Mike and each left with a smile on their face. Not typical when getting work done on your car. I would highly recommend this Midas shop! Gave me great peace of mind to know that quality trustworthy mechanics checked out the vehicle!
Mike, Brian, and their team are knowledgeable, honest, efficient, and give me peace of mind. Ive been going for 5+ years since I was sick of having to battle with a local ford dealership. Got my husband hooked too, when they figured out an issue that stumped a dealership and were able to get it fixed for half the cost! Highly recommend them, and I very much appreciate their service!
I had a great experience here! Mike was very helpful and he worked with me to find a solution for my car within my budget. He explained the options for the repair over the phone and also sent me a picture of the issue so I could better understand. I would definitely recommend them and will be back!
Great service. Mike is so polite and understanding.
Theyve got a plan to follow you to your job and extort from you to purchase their services marked up because they know you dont have time like hit your tire with a hammer to break the belt or wiring your starter to ground
Initially, went a few times for a state inspection while I ate lunch next door, was surprised at the friendliness of their staff for a $14 inspection, they happily did it and had my car to me at the end of lunch. So, I decided to try them out on an older car I wanted to fix up a bit - brakes, alternator, wheel bearing. Again, they were straightforward, met their quote, met their timeline, and quite frankly, are just very pleasant to deal with. I give them 5 stars. Car is back up and running very well.
These guys take great car of our cars! Be sure to call ahead and make an appointment-they are always busy. I appreciate the way the work with us to find solutions that are also affordable.
Been taking my car here for a few years now (finally got sick of the gouging from car dealerships). I have mostly dealt with Brian and Mike who are both great. They give honest assessments and a good price. Highly recommend for anyone needing any type of service.
I am regular customer of Midas and I more often go and now I moved to chantilly here also it was good but here in Chantilly I found more far better than there or I can say here is more awesome.Serve with coffee and tea, polite words from worker and very flexible and it’s very cleanToday is my first day here in Chantilly workshop and I am reviewing now with taking coffee.I will definitely come again and again.
Have used them for years. Honest appraisals and quality repairs done right.
Good people here. Very helpful and accommodating
Mike and Brian provided a competitive estimate, which led me to have my car taken care of by them.Cheers!! Please keep up your honesty.
I am a girl in my 20s. This is the only place Ive gone that didnt try to over charge me and could explain everything clearly if something was wrong with my car. They run incredibly on time. My oil changes are always done quickly. Everyone speaks English! I love Matt the most but the rest of the team is great also! Everyone is super friendly and even though I only visit a few times per year with oil changes and inspections they know me by name. Definitely has a family feel. Awesome customer service.
Best place, best workers, always honest and always thorough. You can’t find better quality and customer service for the price!
This shop saved me money. The guys are honest and they really will try to help you. Going there for all of my car stuff in the future. Thanks again for fixing my car!
Quick Fast Service. I was in there early on a Saturday and got out within an hour.
Great customer service and great overall experience. From what I was told, its a long established franchise independently owned and operated. Good to support the local business.
I have been using Midas Chantilly for the last few years to maintain my landscape companys fleet of trucks. Brian and his crew always take excellent care of everything. They are very honest and reliable. I am happy I found them after going through several other places.
I took my car for routine oil change, and the “Midas Courtesy Check” that they say they do, which is one of the reasons why I used to trust the Midas services. When I got there, they say the service was going to last 45 min, and it was done in 20 min. So I don’t know if I should be happy or concerned about this service. I supposed that they didn’t do “The Midas Courtesy check” because they didn’t gave me any report as they used to on my previous services. Also, when I tried to make an appointment online, they say they didn’t have the time and date I was asking for through email(this happened twice in two different weeks.) But when my sister called and asked for an appointment at the same time and date I was asking for, they said they did have the availability for her. I am very disappointed about my last experience in this location.
Unfortunately, this shop (at least with me) has practiced deceit to avoid taking responsibility for something they messed up that posed a very serious safety risk to me and those around me on the road.I had a CV axle replaced by this shop in early December 2013, and evidently the tech who worked on my car, Matt, did not tighten the lug nuts on the wheel when he completed the repair. I did not discover this gaff until I was doing some brake work on my car yesterday, early January 2014. 2 of the 4 lug nuts were GONE, and the other two were not even finger-tight. When I called the shop to confront them about this, Matts response was that he did not even remove the wheel during the repair, so therefore the loose lug nuts was not something he did or was willing to cop to. I know this to be a lie for two reasons - the first being that in my opinion it would be exceedingly difficult if not impossible to remove and replace a CV axle without removing the wheel. Secondly, during the repair, he told me that I needed new brake pads, a diagnosis that is impossible to reach without removing the wheel. Therefore, I surmise that he did, in fact, remove the wheel, and did not torque the lug nuts down properly in his haste to leave work (My car was his last for the day, and he even stayed late to complete the work.)This kind of hasty and shoddy repair work is unacceptable at best and downright deadly dangerous at worst. This is compounded by the fact that I was then lied to by Matt about his apparent mistake regarding the lug nuts on that wheel. The manager is apparently out of town, and I will be calling them to speak to him as soon as he is back in town. Hopefully he will help me resolve this matter promptly - In essence make it right. I will edit this review to reflect that if he does.
Good service, trustworthy and decent prices. Been using them for about 10 years and they have earned my trust and my business. As soon as my cars are out of warranty, they go to Chantilly midas.
My son recommended this place and I tell you the service was phenomenal! Made an appointment early this morning and I got a call back within an hour to bring my truck in today. Brian and Keith was awesome! Thank you so much!
There used to be a Reston, Midas around the corner. I was so disappointed when they closed. I needed a new muffler for my car and I decided to go the extra miles to a Midas a town over. Not disappointed with my decision. They had it replaced in 45 minutes. Great service. I highly recommend Midas.
Came in with a bad muffler, got a quote and explanation and drove away in peace and quiet. Very nice and several places you can grab a bite while they work.
Very professional staff, reliable and honest!
Top notch auto car
They been helping me for years with a good price.
My truck had some work done including a charge on the AC refrigerant. A few weeks later I noticed the AC wasnt getting cold. I went back and they made it right and gave me a fair deal on the fix. Thanks Matt and team.
This place is pure robberyI know a lot about cars but I do not weld.i needed a new 30$ flex pipe welded in to my cat converter. It should be an hour job at the most for an experienced welder. They gave me a estimate of 600$!! they said they had to remove the turbo flange which is 100% false!! I went down the road and paid 250!! if you are a average joe they will rip you off, much better places in Chantilly, stay away from these thiefs!
Just took my car in today because of a very noticeable squeaking noise while driving at lower speeds. I dropped the car off right around lunch time and was called with an hour which they had diagnosed the problem. The problem was an bent backing plate and they clearly explained that it was a very minor fix. It was ready very quickly and was able to pick it up shortly after work. All in all I was very pleased with the service. Before this I had went to Mr. Tire in Fairfax which was very unprofessional and needless to say will not be back there. After the exceptional service that was given by Midas today though this will be the place for future repairs. Overall a quality shop and will be back for future repairs!
Friendly, quick n easy experience. I did end up passing the emissions - Thank you guys!
I am an engineer/electrician/refrig. tech. I was under the weather and my wife took the car to this shop for routine service. There were so many bogus charges on the bill & services that I could clearly see weren’t performed. It’s a shame how badly these shops take advantage of women. If I give 0 stars I would.
I will not be bringing my business to this shop again. I bought an aftermarket exhaust system (cat back from Borla for my 1996 Miata) that didnt quite fit correctly when I bolted it on; the exhaut pipe was out of alignmet with the muffler by about 2 so it just needed a minor bend to fix it. I brought my car to this shop and they charged about $100 to do the bend which is fair, but they didnt get the bend right; the muffler tip was not centered under the cutout in the back bumper. I asked them to fix it and they rudely said I was being picky -- any exhaust shop worth their salt would never claim that aligning the muffler tip in the bumper cutout is being picky, that is so basic as to be laughable. They charged me another $50 to do fix what they should have done correctly the first time. Hope it was worth it for them to weasel the extra $50 out of me, they lost any future business from me and they get a fully justified bad review.
Overpriced chain. Have been to them twice to quote repairs and they have been the highest both times.
The service is very bad i pay for fix my van they dont do the work the istill my many
Always helpful
Place loaded with rude employees
