The consultant/associate was SUPER helpful. He took the time to go over multiple products with me to find the best match, and when they didn’t have the shade I needed, he called another store to hold it for me. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, I would definitely recommend this location!

I had the pleasure of spending time at the perfume area with Amelia. Man, she is a pure light in the world. She not only found the perfect scent for me, which I didn’t think was possible :), but she also was kind. The kind of kindness that’s so refreshing and warm. It felt like shopping with a forever friend. She didn’t know this but I’d found out my cousin who was a best friend died the same day I entered the store. I left feeling less lonely in the world and I have Amelia to thank for that. So, thank you, Amelia! For your kindness and friendship, however brief. Update:Now I will give this scenario a 0. I called the number below to explain why I was calling.The rep had no clue what I was talking about. I told him I was the one that was asked to call.I then asked again if there was someone that I was supposed to ask for our talk to. Then he said: Yes, Ill get someone for you. 6 minutes and 5 seconds later I hung up. It just gets worse and worse. I used to shop at Ulta many years ago and I dont know what happened, but customer service is definitely at the bottom of their list these days!Every year Ulta sends me free birthday gift options whereby I have to go to the store to pick them up. They either dont have the product or areout. They have tons of samples why not offer something else? After years of this, I think its a nice little marketing ploy to get people in there in the hopes of spending more money. This place has pricing through the roof. I can get the same products at Walgreens for half the price, better variety and get another for half off...all the time there is some promotion. I also get waaaay more points at Walgreens. I recently went in to Ulta and looked for three products. They had none of them. They also do not carry a whole line of certain products. I tried to find eyeshadow from Loreal. None. Probably because Walgreens has it, so they dont carry it. For example: Ulta eye shadow 8.50. Walgreens Loreal 6.50, points and most times buy one product get another half off+coupons. For specialty salon products hit up Amazon and eBay. Youll pay half to three quarters less than at Ulta. Ive given them too many chances Im done. The store is a rip off.

Went to get my hair highlighted, and it was a MASSIVE fail. I do not recommend this place to anyone.My hair is still dark on top, light on the bottom. Both my mom and my other half agreed that it did NOT look like anything had been done. You can still tell where the dark goes to light. No blending whatsoever. Guess how much? $190 plus tip. To look the same. When I called to speak with a manager, they set me up with the same stylist AGAIN. I called back about 20 minutes later and asked if I could just have my money back. She said no, they have to try to fix it first. So I have another appt. Hopefully someone can fix this hot mess, because I am not happy. I won’t be going back. Kicker- she was running super late, and charged me $45 to trim the ends. And another $40 for toner. And my haircut is nothing spectacular. It looks like sh*t actually. Bad hair cut. Bad color.

The staff here were SO nice when I visited looking for hair dye and lip gloss. They were very helpful in explaining all of the options and I found the perfect dye and lip gloss. Plus, they had coupons on their website. I was able to get a discount on the hair dye I purchased!

Its always a pleasure to shop here. Generally, I can simply walk in, get what I need, check out and be on my way. Today I needed to get a makeup primer.... something new. The lady who helped me was absolutely wonderful... even got samples of the foundation I use and in the color I use. Applied the primer, let it dry and then applied the foundation. In another area, she applied the primer but did not allow it to dry before applying the foundation so I could see how it would work in both scenarios... SOLD!

Thoroughly impressed with the diverse products. Will definitely come back, it would have been a 5 star if the sales associate/beauty consultant checked how I was doing more then just once. Working in retail myself, it never hurts to check in with a browsing customer at least twice while they are shopping. But otherwise very pleased with my first visit.

They have an excellent selection and decent prices. A one stop shop. The thing I like most of all is the friendly, helpful staff. Theyre always happy to answer any questions.

Awesome salon, J.P. and Brittany saved my hair! I went to ulta right after a bad experience getting highlights which left me with over-processed, badly toned hair. I couldn’t even look in the mirror without cringing and didn’t think there was much that could be done on my now fragile/dry hair. However, these ladies went out of their way to help me find the best option for my hair and I left with a beautiful hair color and feeling like myself again! Very impressed with their expertise and genuine desire to help! Would recommend this salon to anyone!

Lots of products. Sometimes too expensive. The clerks should be more service minded. I have had my hair cut there a number of times. If you get a talented hair dresser, the results will be good. It is kind of hit or miss.

Huge Beauty Supply store. Everything you need from nail polish to shampoo. They even have a small salon in the back of the store. You can pick up curling irons, hair dryers, brushes, and misc beauty supplies. Super large selection.

Favorite ulta to go to, there is a skin care specialist that works there (cant remember her name but dark hair, tan skin, columbian accent, incredibly sweet ☺️) and she gave honest and useful information to both my mother and I when we decided to change all skin care products.I have had amazing results from purely, which she showed us and she was incredibly knowledgeable in skin care for all skin types which made me confident in trusting what she was saying for good and bad things to do for my skin.

Good serves and a wide variety of make up and other beauty products. I love shopping here because I can always find what I need.

Very disappointed with ULTA. Received an email saying they were opening, however, stopped by today and only curbside pickup. Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down Evers stay at home order. Waukesha County is open for business. Why isnt Ulta? Ill be spending my money elsewhere.

The employees wont let you just look without pushing their help on you. Why have testers if I cant test? I dont always go in there for something specific, I just love makeup and I want to see if something fun or new catches my eye. When I do want something specific they suggest the most expensive thing possible. After more than a decade of shopping here Im done. Ill subscribe to a few more beauty boxes to get a chance to try new things at home where I wont be harassed. Also, drug store makeup has improved a lot recently, so I have no need for this place.

I guess you can’t be Black and shop here unless you want to be followed around the store, told you can’t be helped when asked for help, and then have a cashier throw your receipt at you. I have been a loyal Ulta customer for years and never in my life have I been treated as horrible as I was when I shopped here. This makes me think twice about ever going to any Ulta again. It is very sad. The employees definitely need training in customer service and how to treat everyone, even if they are a person of color. I don’t know if this is how corporate wants their company being represented and I see I’m not the first person with this issue at this location, that is sad that it has never been corrected, seems like Ulta doesn’t care at all.

Annoying DJ promo happening today. Super loud & Super bad sound mix.. The one male employee working was hiding out in the perfume section with another female employee sniffing each others wrists. When I finally found an employee, she was less than helpful with answers to questions. Also I purchased a product for $68. that I thought was half as much because it was on the wrong shelf. When I mentioned it to the cashier so asked, “what do you want me to do about it.” I will go back to Amazon Prime.

I called first to see if they had what I needed. rep walked to item and described every option they had. So nice of her. When I came in she even remembered me calling. got sticker nail strips polish I cant find anywhere at retail! Usually have to go to one of those house partys with high pressure.

I wanted to take a moment to thank the staff at Ulta on Bluemound in Brookfield, and to let others know the exceptional service my daughters and I received on her wedding day, Saturday, September 7, 2013. We were greeted at the door and let into the store early to begin applying makeup at 9:30, a half hour before the store was even opened!! Mary applied makeup for the bride and Antoinette for her sister (maid of honor) and me (mother of the bride - yahoo!). Women: there is an entire store of beauty products to utilize - how perfect is that!! The majority of products we used were from Urban Decay, and they lasted through a thunderstorm unloading at the wedding site, the outdoor wedding (yes, it got beautiful out just at the right time!) and a barn reception with fans blowing. Mary and Antoinette were patient, getting the exact final look everyone wanted, but just lovely, wonderful people on a personal basis. I raved about Ulta at the wedding, and have mentioned to numerous people since as not everyone thinks about Ulta for wedding day makeup application. Do it!! Utilize them. You will NOT be disappointed!! Thank you Ulta!!

This is my favorite ulta location. I’ve had many people at ulta be rude to me and act like they absolutely hate having to help customers. Every time I’ve been to this specific location, I’ve had a good experience. The workers ask you if you need any help finding an item, they’ve helped me locate items I couldn’t find by myself, they’ve gone out of their way to make sure I can use my coupon and/or freebie coupon. There’s one girl-I will get her name next time I go- who is particularly kind and always says something sweet to me when I come in. I work in customer service myself so I greatly appreciate people who work hard to make their customers feel comfortable.

I love Ulta but just shop online if you want to shop there. The employees are either one of two things either completely ignore you or way too pushy. Online youll still be able to get all their awesome deals without a stress-free shopping trip.

Was offered help from an associate without asking. She was great. I was in and out in no time.

Moved to the area a couple months ago and needed to find a new stylist... Made an appointment and Hilary was my stylist. She did a fantastic job, made sure my needs were met, went over some products with me and gave me such a great cut! Found my new stylist on the first try! She was fun to talk with the whole time as well!

I was helped by Allie in the makeup department. She is hands down amazing. Kudos to her! I will return, but onlyto ask for her advice!

I went in on lunch today all excited to purchase a bunch of new makeup. I needed help with someone who works there to find my color match. I waited for over 20 minutes and nobody helped me. I even asked 2 women for assisting, they were working with other customers and said they would be with me in a moment. It didnt happen. After they were both done with those customers, they went on to help other customers and I was completed ignored. I felt it was very rude, and I ended up walking out of the store and not purchasing anything. They would have made a huge sale if someone would have acknowledge me and helped me purchase the right color makeup.

Nearly every time I shop at an Ulta, I spend what feels like eternity in the check-out line (the line is often long/winding around the aisle, but even when theres only a couple people in line its a long wait for some unknown reason). The staff at this location is hit or miss, in that theyre either overly helpful or theyre stuck-up and unapproachable. I like Ultas products and the beauty lines they carry, but I prefer to shop on their website.

The store is always in disarray. I can never tell what the actual price is of anything, because the shelves are cluttered and disorganized. Also, their rewards program is very disappointing. If you dont use all of your points in one year, you forfeit them. I dont understand why any company would ever do that. After losing over $150 in free points, I decided to never return to the store. Sephora doesnt do that, so now they will be getting all of my business.

Best location Ive been to in Waukesha or Milwaukee county but thats just because its the largest and they have the best selection. Staff are usually too busy conversing with each other to say hello. Theyre never too busy to follow you around the store if youre a person of color though.....

Horrible experience, will never come back. Recently placed a order but will be returning since the employees want to racial profile. I was in there with my boyfriend and the workers followed him around while I used the restroom trying imply that he was stealing. They have cameras and can even look back at them to see but instead want to assume. I was planning on buying several products but ended up leaving because of the type of employees they have here then one of blond ladies followed us until we walked out and it made me feel as in if I did something wrong. I will be spreading out the world to all my friends that shop at Ulta to never come shop at least to this location since employees like to racial profile.

So I had a four star review on here, but I’m changing that. Recently I went into this location, had an item to do an exchange with, but looked around for a while to find something to do the exchange with first. I could tell I was being watched and followed, even saw a lady with shorter blonde hair wearing hoops go up to the girl working at the register and pointed me out to her. Eventually, I found an item to do the exchange with. I was immediately asked by the cashier what my name was. She asked it in a rude tone, did not exchange her name in return when I shared mine. I could tell she just wanted my name because she thought I was stealing. Sweetie, that’s not how you handle the situation if you think someone is stealing. I later looked at my receipt and the cashier’s name was Leila that checked me out. She was very rude to me the entire time she checked me out. I have only been in this store once since. I used to go in here weekly, constantly giving them my business, but I do not feel like they deserve my business. Before I have gotten treated like I was stealing here, and I know many of my other friends have gotten treated the same way here, but never to this extent. Other stores in the area are not great either, but all of them I have had much better experience since in than this one. I wish this was not the Ulta closest to me.Until this store is able to correct the problem, I am not interested in giving them my business. Hello, Sephora!

Great selection .Very dissatisfied with customer service .Waited in line for about 10 minutes with one person in front of me. When it was my turn the store employee let a customer cut in front of me to do a return. The cashier helping with the return was very unhelpful. Another employee came to the register to help another employee check out and walked away when she was done knowing I was next in line gave me eye contact. Walked out with no purchases.

Would be giving 1 star, but after working retail for years, I understand the give and take of customer service when a little busy. This store was not busy and had plenty of people working. I was walked by several times in the high end makeup area. I waited 30 minutes to get the attention of a salesperson and eventually just left the store. I even walked by multiple stations where employees were working and not one acknowledged me. I dont know what is worse: the amount of product I couldve walked out with without paying for (theft, which I would never do) or the amount of the product I was willing to walk out paying for. Employees need to be aware of customers around them, even while assisting other customers. Not a single one even just said Hi.

Great products, but NEVER more than 1 cashier so checkout times are ridiculous. We waited in line over 1/2 hour both recent visits.

I think the staffs need more training. Always they look angry. Never say hi. Thats the reason I go to the Wauwatosa even though my place is very close to here.

Asked an associate for assistance on a price check, was told she doesnt technically work for Ulta so I should ask a different associate for help. Asked a different associate where the clearance was, she didnt look up at me at all and said racks up front. She then proceeded to tell the woman at the front register to keep an eye on me. This is why I shop at Sephora.

This Ulta is set up differently from others Ive visited,so it took a couple of minutes longer to find my products but thats not that big of a deal. The store was extremely clean and the staff was friendly and ready to help.

This is the place to find most any cosmetic or beauty supply product, including many of the best brand names.They have almost too many choices. I spent a half hour comparing at least five full racks of hairspray. You wouldnt believe how many choices there are for hairspray! One makes your hair shine; another leaves it heavy and matte flat. One formula for curly hair, another for straight. Hairspray for delicate thin blonde hair, and hairspray for thick outta control black curly hair.The best part is if you choose the wrong thing--something that just doesnt work for you--you can return it for a full refund.I like that the store offers redeemable points per purchase, to cash in on future purchases. My fashionista teenager makes good use of that feature. Ouch, the cost of perfect makeup!This store also features salon services. Ive gotten my eyebrows tinted and waxed there a couple of times. The first time, my brows turned out excellent; the second time, with a different tech, not as great, and took much longer due to having to dye them twice because they didnt come out dark enough the first time, so I suffered a little skin irritation. Not a big deal.Ive shopped there on days when available clerks/consultants were especially helpful, and expert, which I appreciated, and also on days when virtually no one was around. Usually, the service is good.Its a popular place, often crowded, especially around certain holidays, or when they are running a sale.

The Dr. Perricone line is amazing yet pricey kind of the get what you pay for scenario. The staff at this location is much more friendly then others I have been to.

For my birthday, I received a gift certificate for a brow tint and wax. My friend included a very generous tip added into the gc total. This was my first time coming to this store. At first, the only employee who greeted me and made me feel welcome, was a VENDOR that was in the store checking on her display. She helped me get the attention of an employee letting them know I arrived for my appt. The other gals were too busy discussing leaving for lunch....The lady who did my eyebrows was nice. The gal who took care of me in the check out line, was all full of attitude. For a beauty supply place I was surprised, she looked unkempt as if she just rolled out of bed and a 2 day old top knot. I explained a had a gc and it was my first time here. I didnt know the amount of the gc and asked for her help. I learned that my friend included a $15 tip in the gc. The sales lady asked how much more I wanted to add to the tip. I said, Thank you, but Ill leave it at the $15. The sales clerk rolled her eyes and announced loudly to the people around me that I was too cheap to leave a decent tip. I was humiliated and will not be going back. I teach customer service seminars as part of my job. Im going to use this situation as a what not to do when dealing with the public.

Im pretty comfertable with make up so i usually dont need help with anything except when it comes to foundation. I can never pick the right shade so i was trying out the tarte foundations and swatched a couple on my cheek and they looked kinda similar so i was trying to ask an employee for help choosing. Her and a couple other workers were exfoliating their lips and talking when i asked for help which is fine id do the same thing if i worked at ulta. But its just annoying that they asked me to wait a sec which again is fine i get it ..its winter keep ya lips moisturized .BUT the issue i have is when someone else asked for help literally right after me someome help her right away when i was still standing there with foundation. I literally waited til someome helped me amd no one did so i put everything down and walked out because id rather not buy the wrong shade and waste 40 dollars.

This place is huge and can be overwhelming unless you know exactly what youre looking for. But the employees are happy to help you find things. I like that there is a wide price range of products.

***BEWARE of the mistreatment you will receive at this location if you are not a drop dead gorgeous super model***Each and every time I stop at this store, sadly because they have an item I need and they are the only place that sells it, I dread going inside. On my most recent visit I left and immediately filled out their customer service survey at the bottom.I called prior to the visit and let them know what I was looking for and that I would be needing assistance with making a decision on a product. Before driving out there I asked an employee if anyone working would have the ability to answer product questions and assist me with making major purchases that were a big deal to me (someone wearing make up for the first time and needing help).On my third visit there I had to set the timer on my phone to see how long it would take for:1. someone to say hello and/or acknowledge that I was in the store2. someone to ask if I needed assistance3. someone to actually help me once I took the initiative to ask for help1. nobody ever said hello2. nobody ever asked me if I needed help, but they certainly asked 3 other women around me and someone else who walked in after my timer was at 25 min3. When I asked for help I waited another 8 min...grabbed a product and when to check-out highly upset.*This was not the first time- the 3rd. However, it will be the last. I will from now on purchase my products directly from the distributer and I will find some other place to assist me. ULTA you are cruel for having staff that picks and chooses who they want to assist. As a Sociologist, I wish I wouldve considered conducting studies on your store in the past. What a messed up place.
