Fantastic eye doctor! I came here for a routine contact lens exam. Staff is friendly and efficient and the doctor was so kind and knowledgeable. My visit was quick and easy. I didnt buy glasses, but they have a huge selection in their front gallery. Highly recommend!

Nikki at the front desk was so amazing! Staff was all really nice, welcoming, and helpful. They were so patient when picking out frames and even offered to help when I was feeling lost in all the options. So happy with my whole experience and my new glasses! Definitely recommend!

In searching for new glasses I felt overwhelmed until I found Gunbarrel Optometry. I needed two things: function and fashion. I needed a more effective prescription and wanted to feel confident with a new look. Nikki and the rest of the staff were so patient and helpful in ensuring I have the right frames for me. For years I was going way out of my way to visit an eye doctors office. Finally I found this place which has been a treasure! The staff is so helpful, nice, and efficient. I have never had any trouble communicating with them and getting answers fromDr. Wren. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a great and accessible eye doctor!

Dr. Wren is great - very friendly, professional and knowledgable. The other staff are also great. Nice, clean office with the most up to date eye care technology. Historically, I avoid going to the eye doctor and am very sensitive to people touching my eyes, eye drops, and the air puff test, but this was a painless experience and made going to the eye doctor a breeze (no air puff!). Very happy and will continue going to Dr. Wren for any future eye appointments.

Staff are very professional and friendly. The Optometrist, Phil, was great and took the time to explain everything related to my visit. I was impressed by his ability to explain my eye and sight in a way that I could easily understand. I would definitely recommend Phil to anyone.

This is absolutely the best office that I have ever been to! The selection is stylish, the exam itself uses newer technology, and each one of the three staff members are so friendly! Highly recommended!

My experience was wonderful! The staff was super friendly and helpful, the appointment was quick and painless, and pretty much everything about the place was great! One of the receptionists even called me with a better deal for the coating on my new glasses!! Plus there was a super cute friendly dog. A+++ Would definitely recommend and return again.

ABSOLUTELY the best experience and outcome Ive ever had getting glasses. Ive worn VERY thick glasses since I was 3 years old. Im 46 now and my prescription has only gotten more difficult. Nikki was so helpful. She patiently allowed me to take a lot of time to try a large plethora of styles and frames. She has been in the industry for quite a while and was able to give me lots of helpful insight into what would work best for my challenging prescription. I now have the best pair of glasses Ive ever had, in both comfort and clarity. I also got a great pair of prescription sunglasses. Its unfortunate that the location is so obscure. Outside of the internet, I would have had no idea that this business even existed. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place with great people.

Gunbarrel Optometry is a charming optometry shop with a friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.I made an appointment for a routine exam and red eye that wasnt going away on its own. Making an appointment was easy. Nikki was polite and fast when I told her I was a new patient and needed to schedule an appointment, I was able to get one one for the next day.The current doctor there is Phil Wren and he was nice and personable. He has been practicing for a long time so he is full of great insight and honest advice. Dr. Wren listened when I told him about what had been happening with my eye and was easy to talk to. He stays up-to-date with optometry industry trends so I knew I could trust his diagnosis. As I was leaving the optician, Blai, said a friendly goodbye. The entire experience was positive and simple with taking very little time.If you need a new optometrist or are new to the area Gunbarrel Optometry has you covered.

Absolutely awesome people! So friendly, helped me pick out frames that looked the best. Easy online appointment booking. Office was incredibly clean and organized. They made me feel special. They have a dog in the office too!!! Whats not to love?!

I havent been to many other optometrists, but it doesnt mean that we havent run into nice or mean people at other establishments, changing completely how we feel about them. This place is amazing. The girls up front (Blai and Nikki) are so kind and personable, I could stand there and talk to them all day. Dr Wren is also very nice, and extremely funny. He made the testing as quick and efficient as possible. however, those girls make that place. Without them it would not be as an amazing experience as it was. They should feel lucky to have them.

Overall, I will stick to my regular eye doctor/office. I took a chance to come here because I live close by/to support a small local business. I’m thankful of the doctor still seeing me since I was a few minutes late. Several little snark remarks during the visit were not appreciated. Also, I think the Optical Coherence Tomography OPTION was “pushy.” I understand the importance of it and opt to get the out-of-pocket expense every couple of years or so. I went back and forth with the doctor for a moment until he finally decided to just note my chart that I declined it – after I asked if I should end the exam now (when I was informed this is a “requirement” for new patients).

The staff there are totally amazing! They were very helpful and patiently help me find the right shape and glasses for face frame. I would totally recommend making Gunbarrel Optometry your primary go to.

I was absolutely blown away by my entire visit here. Nikki at the front desk is very personable and enjoyable to chat with, and Dr. Wren was extremely thorough during a routine wellness exam and even took the time to teach me some interesting stuff in the process. As a bonus, they have some of the tastiest seltzer water ever (it beats the heck out of the La Croix) and Nikki even went out of her way to ensure I received the full benefit of my insurance (free sunglasses - woot!).

Dr.Bruess is a wonderful doctor, is an understatement. Very good knowledge of his field, passionate about it, really really good at communicating and educating the patient. I wish more doctors are as committed and knowledgeable like him. You cannot go wrong if he is your optometrist.

Simply the best, Blai, Nikki and Dr. Wren. Most helpful and cordial; a pleasure to visit. Nice to see the same staff year after year, a sign of a healthy workplace environment. Well done!

Absolutely the best doctors appointment Ive ever experienced. Dr. is super kind and loves his work, and the receptionists are amazingly patient and kind - one of them is a brilliant insurance wizard and was able to somehow find all my needed info when I didnt have any of it on me! Now that ive found them, ill never go anywhere else.

One of the benefits of getting older is that you can put things in perspective, in context. Dr. Bruess is a world class eye doctor. He is the rare doctor who is knowledgeable, thorough, listens, educates, and creates total confidence in the information he provides. On top of that he provides guidance on how you can improve your current eyesight challenges. Here in Boulder we are very lucky to have a doctor like Dr. Bruess.

We called and scheduled an appointment for our son, we provided his birthdate/age(hes 3) and were told he could be seen. We then showed up for the scheduled appointment and were told they could not see him unless he was 6 years or older. Complete waste of time!
