Everything was perfect but I wasnt happy that I need to see a specialist

I did not have the best experience. It seems the doctor gave me the wrong prescription for my contact lenses, then I was told to correct it with reading glasses. I couldn’t see far or near!I went back to my former doctor to get the right prescription and was told I don’t need reading glasses at this time.Also, I was told my daughter should come in for preventative lenses (though she has no vision issues and has better than 20/20 vision). I spoke to our pediatrician and also my optometrist (the former one I returned to) and was told this is never advised when a child has excellent vision.I also felt the prices were extremely high for glasses, contacts, etc. I felt I was being upsold for everything I needed.

Unfortunately Sunrise Vision Care is not willing to correct their mistakes. I called to find out if my insurance would pay for a contact lens exam and got the wrong info: that it would. The fact that my insurance would cover the cost was the only reason I decided to schedule an appointment despite the full cost being outside my budget. After the exam I was informed that my insurance would not cover any of the cost. Despite my objections the manager was not willing to correct the mistake and I had to pay the amount!Other than that I had only positive experiences with Dr. Olson!I would not recommend to use the services of Sunrise Vision Colorado Eye Center and I will have to find a new optometrist for my family.

Sunrise Vision was recommended to me by workmates and I must say the professionalism and thoroughness of staff and the optometrist exceeded my expectations. I would recommend them to anybody in the Boulder area

I cant say enough about Dr. Olson, Dr. Young and their staff. They are both wonderful doctors and people. A few years ago I scratched my cornea badly and Dr. Olson saw me immediately and assured me I would be fine and I was within days. I am an airline pilot so my eyes are obviously extremely important to me and I trust them completely. They provide custom eye glasses, sunglasses, and thorough eye scans and examinations. Its clear they care about their employees, a great local Boulder business Im proud to support.

The doctor was so sweet and so helpful but the nurses were rude and seemed like they didn’t want to bother with the people.

I really enjoy working with Dr. Olson. He is so nice and personable, and always congratulated me when I get letters right on my eye exam! I get so self conscious when I can’t see the letters so it is really motivating. I feel that he is very honest and kind when making recommendations. I have been coming to him for years and enjoy my visits. I also really enjoy his team, they are all very personable and really care. Thanks for everything!

I came to Sunrise with a complex vision need. After years of wearing CRT contact lenses, I was having trouble with my prescription and ready to transition back into soft lenses. This is a multi-week process where your vision is constantly changing, but Dr. Olson made it a breeze! Everyone on staff here is also very kind and knowledgeable.

Went for my first eye examine in several years. Olivia took care of me with all of the testing and intake. She was amazing! Knowledgeable, helpful and ready to answer all my questions. After all the tests, I had my consult with Dr. Olson who was also great, answering all my questions and no rushing. The entire staff was great and helpful, including fitting my glasses when they arrived, and adjusting them after the fact. Would highly recommend Sunrise Vision in Boulder, CO to anyone - make sure to ask for Olivia!

I have been here for several exams now and its been very pleasant. I got no grief the times when I wasnt interested in extra sets of glasses and good help when I was. We had a moderately costly dry-eye treatment done here and its been a big improvement; well worth it.

My eye exam on Wednesday went very smoothly. The office had the latest high-tech equipment which made me very confident in interpreting the results. Josh was thorough, friendly and professional. Most importantly, the office and instrumentation were sanitized completely (instruments were sanitized in my presence).

I have been going to Sunrise Vision Care and Dr. Olsen for 5 years and he is the best! He is compassionate and caring and wants the best for you and your vision. He is great with my kids too and has been proactive and done the best for their developing eyes. I would recommend Sunrise to all my friends and family.

When I moved to Boulder I needed to find a new eye doctor. I had the same eye doctor since third grade, and he was wonderful. He set the bar very high. I tried one eye doctor with terrible luck. I came out of that appointment feeling awful about my eyes. It was like a breath of fresh air to come to Sunrise Vision. After my first appointment at Sunrise Vision I knew I had found the clinic I would be loyal to. The staff are personable and professional. I’ve worked with Dr. Young and Dr. Olson, and they’re both excellent, compassionate eye doctors. I feel like I’m right back at my childhood eye clinic. Sunrise Vision is warm, comfortable and cozy. They have a great selection of frames, lenses and contact lenses. I would say they’re a bit on the pricey side, but it’s worth it for the kind and superior care. I highly recommend Sunrise Vision.

Polite staff, well-trained assistants.Dr. Josh O. listened well and fully explained all aspects of my eye health. He also spoke about why he took the photos of my retina and talked about what he saw in those photos. Finally, he answered clearly and concisely all my questions. Excellent job.

My crown popped off over the holidays so I called my dentists office. I found out they went “corporate“ last year after a buyout and stopped answering the phone with a call back “within 48 hours”. I called Sunrise and they answered the phone! I had agreat front office interaction and got scheduled quickly, efficient service to re-glue my loose crown and a great cleaning with the hygienist. As a “dentophobe” I couldn’t have asked for a better experience start to finish.

Dr. Olson is very thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. He always works with me to find the best contact lenses for my complex vision issues. His staff is professional, caring and friendly. I feel welcome and cared for just by walking in the door! I appreciate that.

I just moved to the Boulder area a few months ago. I went from seeing the same eye doctor for 20 years to not knowing where to start in looking for a new doctor. Sunrise Vision Care really made this process as easy as possible. When I called to set up an appointment, the lady I spoke with was extremely helpful and kind. I explained my situation and that I was nervous to see a new doctor. She was incredibly reassuring, helped explain exactly what I was looking at as far as appointment cost based on my insurance, and was able to get me in very quickly. The tech that started my appointment, Victoria, was kind and thorough. She answered all of my questions and noted all of my concerns. My appointment with Dr. Yeung was amazing, I shouldn’t have even been nervous! She explained everything to me so well that I feel like I know my own eyes better than ever! She made sure I fully understood everything she was telling me about my eye health. The lady that checked my appointment out was also very helpful and kind. She broke down prices of contacts since I’ve never had to price out daily contacts before. Excellent doctor who really cares and tracks any concerns. I always buy my glasses here and they are top quality with no issues and I wear progressive lenses. They do a great job helping you choose the best look. I won’t go anywhere else.

The staff at Sunrise Vision Care are always very friendly and the service is always fast, at least for the routine annual eye exams. Dr. Olson is super down to Earth and very friendly as well. Definitely recommend them for a visit!

Dr. Olson is very attentive, and is concerned about maintaining healthy vision and keeping patients educated. Ive been going here several years and dont even live in Boulder anymore, but commute in because they do such a good job!

Very fine care in this facility. Dr. Olson is very kind, thorough, and explains well. You really get the sense that they are focused on quality medical care. They take their time. Wait times are reasonable. Also, if you get your glasses here -- the lenses are of very high quality -- the best I have ever had. My whole family (kids to grandparents) goes here. Highly recommend!

Exceptional place and great value.Sunrise is easily one of the best health experiences Ive had in terms of efficiency, friendliness, follow-through, and cost. Wow! Awesome experience from the minute I entered to the minute I left. The doctor was awesome and helped explain what was happening with my vision. The optician was also awesome and helped explain what my vision plan would cover. 100% would recommend and plan to make this my regular vision spot.

Everyone from the technician - Kendre, to Tara - who spent so much time helping me find the perfect frames, and Dr. Olson was friendly and helpful! I hadnt gotten my eyes checked in quite some time and they made the experience a breeze.

Went for my second exam at Sunrise Vision Center with the new doctor (Dr. Yeung), after 25 years with Dr. Wharton. Had a great experience from the moment of reception, preliminary exam with Kendre, my exam with Dr, Yeung, and getting a new pair of glasses with Sarahi. I will definitely continue driving in from Erie (15 miles). Everyone is not only nice, but very professional.

Went in for what I thought was going to be a free Lasik consultation and after a 5 minute vision check before seeing the doctor and a short meeting with the doctor afterwards, I was charged $250+. The whole time they seemed way more intent on selling me glasses or contacts instead of the Lasik that I was interested in. They did decrease the charge by $100 when I questioned it, but still ridiculous I had to pay $150+ for a consultation.

I’ve been going here for six years. I’ve always had a positive experience, gotten great glasses, and been treated with courtesy.

I highly recommend Dr Wharton and her staff. Dr Wharton is very thorough and knowledgeable. She was determined to find contacts that worked for me and she succeeded. The entire staff, including the Dr, are personable and friendly. Glad I chose this office.

My first visit to Vision Care was well worth my trip from Longmont. The warm greeting from all the staff was nice. I was able to process my insurance coverage and make an appointment online. I had an appointment with Dr. Wharton about a month ago. The women that work in this office are so friendly and welcoming! From the moment I stepped through the door, to the moment I left, each interaction was pleasant. Dr. Wharton was friendly, funny, and so accommodating to my needs. As soon as I left, I was texting my friends to rave about the experience. I definitely recommend them. They will be my go-to for any eye issues in the future!

Awesome receptionist! She checked my insurance works right over the phone! I was amazed. So many times you call for a new doctor and they say its your responsibility to know whether they take your insurance or not. Well when I called Sunrise, Victoria looked up my insurance for me to make sure and then even went over what benefits I had, what co-pays I will have to pay! Wow. Just awesome. Our family has been going to Sunrise Vision for many years. Today I took my youngest daughter for her first eye exam, and was again pleased with their great service and attention. All of the office staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Dr. Potter helped my 6 year old feel comfortable, and she explained the results of the exam clearly. Todays visit just reinforced how happy we are with Sunrise Vision!

The staff were friendly and helpful. I greatly appreciated not needing to have my eyes dilated for the exam, it made my day much easier. I would go back to Sunrise for any of my future vision needs!

I’m happy that they took the extra mile to reach me to talk about it. It shows that they actually care about their customers and I was probably just talking to the wrong person before.

These guys are great! Not in a easily noticeable location, but from the moment I walked in everyone was fast, relatable, and friendly. From Maizie at the front desk to working with Jessica and Dr. Olson, there was not a single moment of my time that felt wasted, everyone here does great work.

I have been coming here for over 15 years.Originally saw dr. Wharton I started seeing dr. Olson couple years ago who is now taking over the practice and he has been amazing.Steph went over and above to make sure that I got the best deal on my glasses and my insurance was handled properly.

While I thought the vision exam was excellent and the doctor was friendly I found the exam to be overpriced. Prices are not posted up front. Entire exam cost about $205. My vision insurance only pays $200. I can go to Costco and get an exam for $95.

It felt very organized and on time. tests were done quickly and the doctor discussed results with me very clearly. when it came time to select frames, i did not see a selection that appealed to me. also the woman working on the payment and frames selection was not wearing a real mask, just some kind of bandanna, which is probably against local laws for businesses during covid-19.
