Tatte is a bakery near the heart of things. They have a large selection of freshly baked goods, including desserts, breads and treats. Their menu is pretty good sized for breakfast and brunch, and they have a good list of coffees as well. Inside they have a good amount of seating and outside there are a ton of seats. The food is bomb, French Toast is by far the best thing on their menu so dont miss out.
Tatte is a beautifully lit aesthetic!!The service was very speedy and they serve to your seat. The service to take orders could’ve been more polite and positive is the only negative aspect of the presentation of the store.Have yet to try the baked goods but the breakfast and coffee were delicious!Very fancy vibes and great food and drinks!all baked goods are freshly prepared in the back of the restaurant where you can view the bakers at work creating master pieces!!Highly recommended to try the scrambled eggs with prosciutto and the croissant breakfast sandwich!!
We went to Tatte on one of our many trips to Boston. Lots of yummy looking items to choose from. Its located in a nice area. The people were very nice and accommodating. This was our first time here, and we brought friends visiting from out of State. Everyone enjoyed it here. Will definitely be coming back!! I wish I could try everything here!!
Great experience two separate times! Grilled cheese was very good. Almond croissant was even better. Had the croque madam and it was super tasty. Employees are nice and they were very well staffed in my opinion. Plenty of seating. Also had a cortado and babka. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend either of those. The cortado was made in a latte up abd was over portioned and the babka was pretty dry for my taste. But that’s just an honest opinion. I would come back time and time again.
I rarely write bad reviews because I prefer to support local businesses but this has to be said! The food was so greasy that we had to waste 50 Napkins in an effort to keep the coffee cup from slipping out of our hands. The coffee was stale and burnt and we arrived shortly after they opened so Im pretty sure they didnt clean the pot first. The server that brought the food to the table was rude... and thats being polite!Dont waste your time, better food is everywhere in Boston!
If you’re going to sell hot tea, the very least you could do, is make sure your cap fits on the right. I purchased this overpriced tea and all I got were minor burns while I fumbled my way to my car, and a steaming hot mess in my car as well. Thanks for ruining the most peaceful part of my day by not being able to complete a simple task.
We’ve stayed in Boston for 3 days and we had all of our breakfasts here.We had croissant sandwiches in the first day, which was a heaven in food 🤤 I had it with pouch eggs and it was a bit hard to hold (make sure to take some napkins in case if you’re planning to eat at the park!)Second day, we added halloumi sandwiches - since it’s a bit more price friendly, we added avocados inside of the sandwich and they ended up putting guacamole sauces to the bread which was amazing 🤩Third day we had smoked salmon tartinis- which was our least favorite even though we were looking for it. They put a lot of stuff inside (which are in there menu so you can remove if you’re familiar with the ingredients) but the taste was too mixed up and did not make us so happy..We also had traditional shaksuka just to taste and it has a garlicky flavor - a bit heavy for breakfast in my opinion, but was so delicious 👍From the bakery section, we had almond croissant 🤤🤤🤤 it had a delicious pudding like cream inside -and lastly we had cherry almond scone - which is very heavy and not so sweet - if you’re hungry, it’ll give you a banana bread kinda feeling. We will miss you Tatte Bakery!!Cheers from New York 🥂
Quick and pleasant service, delicious coffee, nice treats to buy as souvenirs, plenty of space to find a spot to sit at the heart of the city.
Great cafe with good foodLimited table service, but awesome for a bustlinf environment while you get some work done
It is a wonderful street cafe. It has a nice menu although dont expect a diet coke. The breads and other baked goods are excellent. The food in general is very tasty. I highly recommend. Enjoy.
Breakfasts were really good. Coffee was tasteless- among the 3 of us, one got a latte, 2 got Americanos. Most of the Americanos were thrown out, latte wasn’t finished. Had to get coffee elsewhere. Maybe it was just a bad day for them, but won’t go back for coffee while in Boston. Would have been fewer stars if food wasn’t good
I would give 100 stars if l could! Customer service is impeccable! They are humble, welcoming, empathetic, awesome! My customers coffee spilled and they promptly gave me another one. That’s why they are on top! Great customer service makes the difference!
I wanted to like Tatte so bad. The atmosphere is incredible and I know the food is amazing! However, with an allergy to eggs, the menu has VERY few options for me. The entire breakfast menu is egg related and was even told I could no order with a no egg option :(
Breakfast here was great. The lamb shakshuka is so good. You will not be disappointed. Americano was a little on the weaker side, but still good.
Incredible experience. Was in Boston for two days & strolled into Tatte. Tried their Spinach & Feta Flatbread and fell in love. Had it heated up - and the flatbread was soft, yet crusty and had the feta cheese smell. It was enough that I actually craved it and come again the next morning to have the flatbread again. Coming from someone who doesnt like repeating eateries while travelling. Also tried the Lamb Meatball Shakshuka at friends recommendation, and again - on point. The eggs were perfectly poached & the sauce was delicious. The side bread was warmed up and went perfectly with the Shakshuka. Not to mention their coffee was also worth trying. The staff was super friendly and the whole environment seemed pretty comfortable and distanced during the pandemic. Used merchant services so used Apple Pay, my first preference.Highly recommended. Dont miss.
Hard pass. All the pastries we tried (e.g. monkey bread, scones, donut) were super dry and lacking flavor. We bought the almond cookies as gift, and those were good. It took awhile for our sandwiches to be made, and we watched as 3-4 different people ahead of us returning due to missing items. I dont understand the popularity.
Very disappointed with the service though thefood was good. We ordered chocolate, butter, pistachio croissants when they were stillavailable. One hour later we get two pistachiocroissants and an almond croissant with thereason that theyre out of butter croissants. When asked about the chocolate croissant, theysaid they would check and made us wait forsome more time. After all the wait, had to go inand check on the order ourselves only to hearthe same old we are out of stock story. Theydidnt even have the courtesy to inform us. For aplace with such high ratings, it sure treated usbadly.
Wow. Not a good experience here which I found surprising based on other reviews. We showed up close to closing but still we expect good service. We ordered 2 coffees, neither were good we also ordered a tart a fruit that did not look fresh but tasted okay. To top it off one of the servers walk by us with his hands down his pants adjusting himself and no he didnt bother washing them. I dont think he even noticed us sitting there. Needless to say we were done.
The waitstaff was very accommodating when we had an issue with our meal, and prepared it new to our specifications. The shakshuka was delicious; the breakfast sandwich on gluten-free bread was so-so. The gluten-free bread could be better.
Tatte is great but this location is slow and the staff is rude. Waited 20 mins for a coffee. Waited in line to order and everyone ignored us. Ill probably come back if Im in the area because everything is delicious, but I most likely wont go out of my way
Overpriced garbage! Coffee and chai latte were watered down and tastes awful. Staff wants you to wear a mask but they dont wear one themselves. Dont waste your money.
I have to say this is the best coffee shop bakery in Boston. The coffee is great, not a lot of acid and very smooth. I personally like my coffee a bit on a darker side, but you cant fault them for that. The food is fantastic. The breads and pastries are perfection. The other food has an Israeli flare and is very flavorful and interesting. The interior is marble, subway tiles and black and white in the color palette. Very sophisticated. Be prepared to wait in line and fight for a table. It is not a secret that this place is fantastic and it is very busy. Prices are great too. This is an original, not some copy like many others. You have to go.
I had pecan pie and it was gone in 2 minutes. Nice place to spend some time having dessert, breakfast, and coffee alone or with others.
Amazing food, I’ve never had anything here that I didn’t love. Worth the wait even if there’s a crowd.
Super disorganised. Over priced. My avocado tartine was $12 for soggy bread, avocado paste, and too much lemon to even eat. On the flip side, the bakery good are delicious.
For casual no frills dining but with the best country Italian food ever - not to mention mouth watering pastries and sweets - this place is amazing. It was a bustling hive of activity when we walked in and obviously loved by local Bostonians. Big bonus- they make great coffee. Can’t wait to return❣️
Best cheesecake you will ever taste! The place has a very nice vibe, great food and fast service! Always love passing by here and treating myself with a cheesecake or shakshuka 👌👌 Everything here tastes amazing. I would say that this should be your destination right now if you haven’t visited it yet 🙌
Very nice people, and the pastries are pretty good. Big fan of the chocolate rose. However, the other food isnt particularly inspiring. Add on thats its hyper expensive and it just doesnt seem worth it to me. Pretty bland atmosphere as well.
Went in here to order breakfast take out for the first time and let me tell you that my experience there made it enough to never want to set foot at that cafe again. It was extremely disorganized and chaotic because I had received a text saying that my order was ready, but when I went in, the food wasn’t on the shelf. No one seemed to know where my order was, so I had to walk in circles asking different workers for my bag. What should have taken 2 minutes max, ended up being a 15-20 minute wait and this was just to figure out where my food was. I wasn’t the only one that went through this as other people were also there to pick up their orders and saying they received texts when their food wasn’t ready. They too, were dazed and confused as to where their food was.
Hands down the best pastry I’ve had in my life. Latte was fab too.
Great food and pastries. Supremely disinterested and slow-moving staff. Do not go if you are in a hurry.
It was my favorite bakery in Boston. Every time I travel in Boston from New York I always go there and purchase lots of bakeries for me and bring it to my friends in NYC. But I was so disappointed yesterday about Tatte so now I don’t know if I ever come back there. I’ve purchased several bakeries and the girl at the cashier put in in a bag but not in the box (as they always do). I’ve asked her for the box (because I had to bring it safely to NYC, I wouldn’t care otherwise) and she responded to me in such a rude manner with such attitude. Like I was asking something inappropriate! She was so angry. She didn’t want to give me that box and rudely yelled at me, “I don’t understand why do you need the box”! Is it a problem in this place to give a little paper box for the bakeries your loyal customer bought there? Is it a great customer service? I was in shock! I thought it is such a nice place with most delicious bakeries and customer service! But I have doubts after that situation. I always was telling and recommending this place to my friends, but I will not do that any more. I’m so frustrated.
Good food, a bit pricey. Great location.
Ordered a simple kids’ grilled cheese, waited 20 minutes only to be served with a cold, half cooked sandwich with pieces of shredded meat!! Not the first time when Tatte has failed to delivered on the much hyped level of service & quality!
Ive been to many Tatte locations, most of them are awesome. I will never go back to this one. The food I got was disgustingly inedible, and it was all stuff Ive gotten from other locations. It tastes like pure salt, and there were all these hard chunks of plastic mixed into the meat.Absolutely disgusting, will never go back to this location.
Best breakfast ever! Ham, Cheese and Egg Tartine is delicious
Tatte B&C was recommended by a friend. I went there and was amazed at the quality of menu items, availability of coffee selections and the efficiency of staff. Btw, I did have to ask a staff member how/where the lineups start. But they were very patient and knowledgeable and 45 seconds later I was ordering my breakfast.I had the spinach, goat cheese with egg and choice of bread (rye) breakfast...very delicious, if a tiny bit on the greasy side. The coffee was excellent but make sure you are nearby when they call out your name or your coffee could get cold waiting for you to pickup. The ambiance couldn’t have been better. It’s very busy early in the morning so be patient and enjoy the experience.
Cute spot to grab a brunch and enjoy some European style pastries. Their Pear Tart is my absolute winner.
Updated review:Been back here several more times and this place never disappoints.Had the Shakshuka again and it was even better than the first time. I will say, the bread is delicious (its nicely broiled) but they need to give us more! 3 slices is simply not enough for the size of the shaksuka. Also had Greek Pancakes (thick pancakes covered in Greek yogurt and homemade pear jam) which I asked my Greek friend about and she said there is no such thing as Greek pancakes. I guess the Greek yogurt is what makes them Greek. One Consistent Con: It is quite annoying to find a seat on the weekends, you have to linger and wait for someone to leave and you feel bad pressuring people and trying to beat other people to a table.
Not impressed. Coffee was average, croissant was too soft and did not taste fresh.
This is one of the dozen or so cafés in this local chain. Design is nice and they food is a mixture of Israel and classical café food. A little pricey, so only four stars.
I love Tatte! All of their locations are perfect for a quick breakfast and coffee. Their pastries are always fantastic.
Gets really busy, better go there during non peak hours
This is my absolute favorite place for almost everything, coffee, meeting with a friend, breakfast... etc. The staff is beyond great and helpful, I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it had bacon (i don’t eat bacon) and they made me another one right away! I also love their cheesecakes, so creamy and yummy!
Great pastries and nice location. Usually slow service, but no other complaints.
Love Tatte Bakery. Each location has its own special qualities and I love the Back Bays modern decor!
Delicious!
This is a great caffe and bakery on the footsteps of Back Bay and busy Newbury street area. It has a nice atmosphere with a good breath of lunch and breakfast fare as well as sweets for any craving and hour of the day. The staff is friendly and fairly proactive. They have a good variety of vegetarian options but only a few vegan options but not in the pastry category. Can be noisy at times and self service can get mingled Wii a partial level of table service. The bathrooms are clean and all single unisex options.
Love the coffee! BUT THIS location has bad service for a weekday. Short staffed, one cashier on a busy morning. Had to go back on line to place another order because they were not listening for my order, instead, cashier was trying to get you to tip them. While waiting for the 2nd time, they were giving another customer an attitude because they had to correct her order as well.
A soulful place with delicious food and fabulous desserts.
First time ever for dinner and I have the short rib grilled cheese in a very tasty piece of strawberry rhubarb pie.
One of the nicest cafes for weekend brunch. I love their Shakshuka and would probably go back just for that. They have a eclectic selection of food and you have to walk up, order and find a table. Protip: Go early coz the lines can get crazy long later in the day. Also dont forget to get yourself some pastries since their bakery is amazing! At least for this location, walk from the T stop coz parking is almost impossible to find nearby
Consistently good
Tasty breakfast and comfortable place! Lots of breads you can choose!
In place😍 yummy food 🧀🍳very busy enjoyed it so much 😍🍳🧀
Wanna give 5 star but if you allergy with nut becareful. I ordered almond croissant, my tickets say almond but they put pistachios croissant instead. Good that I checked it before I left and I am not allergic to nut!!!
The coffee was delicious (when I got it) and the morning bun was to die for... but they screwed up my order. We had to wait 25 minutes.
Nice croissant. Nice interior. Was packed when I went around 2PM.
Good Vibe. Looks so yummy.
This is the best place for breakfast in this area. Their croque madamme is delicious and the coffe is ON point!
Super great experience! The staff was very nice and friendly, in addition they provided a pretty speedy service. I had their Labne and Za’atar pies; they were really good and reminded me of home. My friends said they really liked the Avocado toast. I also really liked their Espresso.
I love this place. The desserts here are perfect single serving size. This tiramisu was absolutely delicious and Id definitely come back. The service was easy and fast. Very pleasant atmosphere. You must come and enjoy their food! So worth it!
