This adorable place is so good. We picked up 2 Vietnamese iced coffees and split a coffee roll crepe. The coffees were amazing - perhaps infused with magical coffee and the crepe was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful - even prepared the crepe in a to go box for easier sharing. This place is a hidden gem - walk past Tatté and check out Phinista Cafe! Good to know: you can order in advance online (great for folks who work in the Longwood Medical Area) and they take Apple Pay. Also, the crepes are made with love so prepare to wait a few minutes.
Hands down my favorite banh mi on the east coast. Extra pate goes a long way here to make it a decadent lunch in the best way possible. The coffee is also, in my opinion, how every Vietnamese coffee drink should be — ridiculously, irresponsibly strong but very balanced and crushable. The staff and owners are also very friendly.
Phinista is the cutest little viet cafe 😍 they have egg coffee which is super hard to find outside of Vietnam and amazing crepes with Viet flavors like condensed milk. The cafe itself is super cute for working or just hanging out & the owners have put in so much work opening and running this place during the pandemic! Definitely pay them a visit and help support sweet local businesses like this one ☺️
Stopped by for a quick brunch before going to the Gardner Museum with my parents. We had both the sweet crepes (delicious and large portions) as well as the Bahn Mi. Drinks were also very tasty. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quick bite or coffee before strolling through the Fens, or visiting the MFA / Steward Gardner.
Stopped here for some Banh mi and coffee. The bread was crunchy and the veggies were fresh. I really enjoyed the banh mi but I wish they left the seeds in on the jalapeños to keep that spice. The strawberry crepe was really yummy but I felt like they used too many strawberries. Every bite I took had a strawberry in it which is good but not something I like. If you are the mood for some Vietnamese cuisine give this place a try its great!
Nice place to have a lunch -- we enjoyed the rice bowls, banh mi and beautiful lemonades and teas. There is outdoor seating and ordering is via Q-codes on our phones; so quick and easy! This was one of the best work lunches Ive had in a while; worth it for the walk from the Medical Area.
A breath of fresh air, with delightful bahn mi offerings and warm, comforting coffee. Definitely a go-to, especially for those looking to work in a calm space.
The place is cute and the location is even better, I went during the summer and there was some outdoor seating which I enjoyed. I can imagine that during the winter the small indoor area is what is available, had a refresher which was reasonably priced.
This place is great! Had the pork banh mi which was delicious and the sauce was tasty. The black milk tea was fantastic and actually tasted like tea. The matcha lava cake, ube lava cake, and vanilla lava cake were all delicious and well done. The ambiance was nice and chill, great place to hang out with friends on a lowkey Friday night! 10/10 would recommend!
Had the lavender coffee (Nguyen coffee co., awesome beans), and it was delightful. Banh mi were on point. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
Phinista’s Vietnamese Iced Coffee is a must try - so delicious! They use traditional Vietnamese coffee recipe which would help you wake instantly. I was very impressed with their drinks menu too, very creative with fresh, real, tasty ingredients. This place is never a wrong choice. Bad thing is that they haven’t opened many locations
Had the Vietnamese egg coffee - delicious. Excellent spot in the Fenway
Great place! Food is good and service is excellent. Friendly staff. Highly recommend
Bahn mi was incredible, and great drink selection! Cool spot to grab lunch or just a refreshing drink! Tiffany is a great barista! If she is there just know she makes the best drinks/food :)
Very nice vibes with both the people and restaurant décor. Their coffee options are on the pricey side – similar to specialty lattes from Starbucks. But my Vietnamese coffee latte was very good (maybe a tad too sweet), as was the sweet cream pastry I got. Also tried their BBQ pork banh mi (my favorite kind). It was mid-range – their sauce was a bit too sweet for me. And the veggies weren’t as crisp or as tasty as I’ve had them elsewhere.
Super nice staff and the milk ube tea was absolutely delicious
This place has a unique charm. Located between some of the very popular eating spots in the Fenway neighborhood, Neighborhoods manages to stand apart. The coffee is great and I loved the spinach and feta croissant as well. The crepes are their signature items and I’ll make sure to visit again to savor them.
Delicious iced latte and very friendly staff. Happy to have them in the neighborhood!!
We ordered banana and walnut scone which was very moist and yummy. The crepe dishes we ordered were the signature which has feta cheese and vinegar-ate as main ingredients. They should have specified that the feta cheese was made from goat cheese as I don’t eat this kind of cheese. The chicken Tuscan crepe was delicious and was topped with pesto sauce. The sweet crepe we ordered was stuffed with banana and topped with chocolate which was also quiet nice. A general comment on the crepes is that you have to ask for them to be cooked well done if you don’t like it very soft. The staff are friendly and they have an outdoor area too which overlooks a small park.
Staff very helpful and friendly as it was my first time at the Cafe. Ordered the Phin Coffee Latte and it was amazing! The Classic Cold Cut Bahn Mi was incredible; veggies were fresh and crisp, and overall was a delicious sandwich! A nice change from a typical American sub. Would highly recommend!
Very cute cafe, staff were friendly. The cinnamon roll crepe and Thai tea were delicious! Highly recommend.
The staff at Neighborhoods is the best! Even though it’s in the city, it still has the feel of local neighborhood (if you will) coffee shop. The crepes are homemade and delicious. My favorite latte is the bee stinger but my go-to there is Iced Coffee. They have some great iced coffee. The shop itself is small with some seating, but not a ton. The WiFi is also limited. It’s great if you don’t need WiFi or are only planning to sit for a bit.
This is my go-to place for coffee. It is amazing and I fall in love more with each visit. The coffee is outstanding and the ambiance even more so. Phil is excellent to talk to, and I cannot imagine how difficult it must be in these times to stay afloat.Pictured is the Iced Phin Mocha!! Highly recommend this and the Phin Sua!PS: Avoid the rush hours if you can, the wait can be a little longer than what youd expect, but worth the wait.
We both loved our drinks and I could not stop staring at the perfect wall paper. The Phin 50/50 is half coffee half oolong, over 8ce it is a summer dream. They have Egg Coffee on the weekends, meaning they mix egg yolk with condensed milk to create a custard coffee experience. If that wasnt enough the quality of the bbq chicken banh mi matched the Boston price point. If you have time to eat in and enjoy the atheistic this cafe spot is worth every penny
The banh mi was excellent. Flaky and fresh bread, crunchy pickled veggies, and the meat was tasty and cooked well. The Viet latte was good but a bit too sweet. I think if they cut down the sweetness 10-20% it would be perfect.
Fun little coffee shop. I recommend the 50/50 latte, which is half oolong and half coffee with condensed milk. The baked goods are very tasty as well, we got a matcha bun that was unique and delicious.
Loved the atmosphere here! Staff were very friendly, patient, and answered all my questions. One of them even gave me a small cup of coffee on the side to see where my sweetness preference was. Coffee was delicious, strong, and had no leftover grounds at the bottom of my drink. Their peach cobbler crepe was delightful! Definitely coming back next time Im in Boston!
Excellent service and food today. Staff was very accommodating on food allergies and specialty drinks were very flavorful. Banh mi was legit as well and my girls loved the crepe as well. Highly recommend as a light lunch fare with great drinks.
Tried their Vietnamese coffee latte and loved it! The barista was also very helpful. Cant wait to try their food soon.
Ive eaten a lot of Bánh Mì in my life and this has been my absolute favorite place to grab one these days. Will absolutely come back here again. 😊
Very strong coffee and awesome staff
The Vietnamese coffee is very sweet, very strong, and very delicious - I got mine with rose syrup. Planning on visiting again soon so I can try out the banh mi for lunch!!
What a great surprise: this unpretentious cafe serves amazing Vietnamese inspired food! The crispy shrim bahn mi was unbelievably good! Their coffee is also amazing!
My friend told me about this lovely place and I’m glad that I came. I got the Cafe Sua Da and Is this Heaven crepe, and it was so delicious. It was a perfect combo. Their crepe was sweet and fresh. Probably the best Viet coffee I’ve had, their cafe sua da is a must-try. The owner and staffs was super friendly and welcome, everything was perfect. I’m definitely gonna come back for the coffee and crepes. Highly recommend!!!
I went to phinsta for the first time today for brunch and it was amazing. The service was some of the friendliness I’ve experienced. They were super sweet and I really appreciated it. The food is amazing, I got the cinnamon roll crepe. I pretty much finished it in a minute. Overall, the experience was 10/10 and I will definitely come back in the future.
Thank you for the wonderful service that you have! Last Monday evening, I decided to unwind with my friends at your shop. We were so surprised when your staff served our order quickly. Whats best about your shop is, you really got the taste of your customers. Bravo to all of you! You are strongly recommended!
Iced coffee is amazing, we had the shrimp and tofu bahn mi and they were unbelievable. Perfect bread, super tasty. Staff is really nice. Cant wait to come back!!
I tried to get something to eat or drink in this place and they had no menu. I was told I would have to somehow use an Ethernet device which I did not have in order to find out what they had order. The personal seemed as if they couldn’t care less that they were losing business. What kind of a business is this that they would chase business out the door and over to the Starbucks in the Star Market? There is no reason for me to ever go back to this place again even though I live in the next block.
Finally made it here for lunch on what could be the hottest day of the year, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Thai Milk Tea which was delicious, and the Phin Sua which was rich and strong (and a satisfying cold chocolate taste). We also got the torched smoked salmon banh mi which was perfect and the classic cold cut -- we marveled at how well lined up the daikon and carrots were in the sandwich. Everything was yummy, service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back to try the other things on the menu!
The best latté in town by far.... The pork sandwich is a 10/10 too
The best cold brew I’ve ever had. I knew it would be good because they value quality and good ingredients but I had no idea it would be this good! It is the smoothest cold brew I’ve ever had. It has an extremely rich and deep flavor almost like caramel but not sweet. Do yourself a favor and pop into this extremely cute coffee shop. I hear they also serve Vietnamese food for lunch and dinner but I haven’t tried it but I will be back soon for that as well
Super fancy and delicious but we’ll priced crepes, staff are really sweet!
Loved EVERYTHING we had here. Coffee was strong and great.
I am thankful that they have a vegan option for banh mi lovers like me. It tastes almost exactly like the real thing. I’m also thankful that they offer almond milk for their drinks. It’s a bit far from where I live but I like to stop by once in a while.
Love the looks and vibe of this new cafe in Fenway. I was greeted and welcomed by the warm and polite staff. I ordered The Happy and the Alaskan crepe, my oh my was the crepe so delicious legit devoured it in 30 seconds!! If you love smoked salmon, I highly recommend this crepe, best thing ever! Next time I will visit the cafe earlier in the day so I can snag some of the other yummy drinks before it’s sold out! Check them out, you won’t disappointed!
Amazing gluten-free crepes!
I’m a Phinista fan before they open their coffee shop in Fenway. I’m in love with their coffees, especially cafe creme brulee. They used to have an awesome project that they gave out free coffees for health care workers. I can feel that the owners care about their customers with their hearts.I came to the shop today and ordered a cafe cream brulee which is bomb. I also had a “is this in heaven” crepe. It’s sooooo tasty and wonderful to start a day with. I hope that they will have their signature lava cake on the menu soon. Love this place.
I ran in today for the first time, 10 minutes before this coffee shop closed, honestly feeling bad and expecting a death stare from the barista(s) working. I was dead wrong! The two baristas working could not have been more lovely, they even took the time to inform me on the best technique on how to drink their Vietnamese egg coffee (which was such a delicious treat). Furthermore, the interior of the Cafe was beautiful and clean. I am very impressed; this cafe just won a lifelong client and I cant wait to take my wife in to try a coffee.
I highly recommend the Is This Heaven crepe! Inside was strawberry and choco sauce along with custard creme and caramelized walnuts which I found out are actually made in-house. The crepe also paired nicely with a Cafe Creme Brulee! Such a new and refreshing place. The owners were also super friendly and welcoming! Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
Phinista Cafe is an excellent place to grab quick, affordable, and delicious meal! They have great service. I will definitely return, and can recommend either the Peach Cobbler or The Alaskan, though everything sounds delicious!
Their Vietnamese Coffee Latte has quickly become our favorite weekend treat! Cannot wait to try their banh mi!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Everyone that works there is so friendly, the coffee is out of this world, and the food is top notch.
Staff was pretty rude, ordering was overly complex, and the coffee is only palatable with the full sweetened condensed milk treatment. Overall a frustrating experience.
Popular lunch Vietnamese cafe that serves specialty Vietnamese coffee, bowls, crepes and banh mi.
Good food, even if service was slow due to one person working.
The Phin 50/50 is the greatest drink I have ever had! 100 percent would recommend!
Best Vietnamese coffee in town. Their coffee bean is extremely fresh and different from all the coffee with fillers out there. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. My coffee lady, Erica is the sweatest one. Tuscan chicken crepe is wonderful with juicy chicken and all the fresh vegie!!! Love itttt
So happy to see a Vietnamese cafe in this area, this is a much needed addition to the Fenway area! Their current menu includes a wide variety of coffee and tea with lots of Asian inspired flavors (including classic Vietnamese iced coffee as well as trendy drinks like dragon fruit and lemonade tea), delicious crepes that are upgraded from Neighborhood Cafes old offerings, and best of all, authentic Vietnamese dishes like grilled pork vermicelli and classic banh mi sandwiches. I live close by and this is my favorite new place to eat.
This is a really cute spot and I enjoyed my experience the first time. I decided to take a friend the next time and we went inside but ordered through their mobile app. The app gave a order ready estimate so we stepped outside to wait (its small inside and Covid times). A little before our order time estimate we went in to check on our stuff and my drink and food were handed to me but my friends drink still wasn’t ready. I got suspicious because I saw a girl walk out with two drinks (a coffee and a matcha) who we had seen drinking a single coffee earlier but had stepped back inside. So I asked when my friend’s would be ready and the barista apologized and scrambled to make it. She was great. However, the owner (I think) came out and asked what the problem was and said he had been calling for my friends name and we didn’t come up. So I guess they gave it away? He made my friend feel embarrassed in front of everyone there like it was her fault even though the app had an order ready time and we were literally sitting right outside the door.
My area had a long power outage in the middle of a work day and I still had two big client calls to run. I drove over to Phinista because 1) drinks are phenomenal, and b) service is always phenomenal too. I had no battery on my phone at that point, but the staff was gracious enough to let me charge my phone a bit and set my computer up before I even ordered, without making me feel pressured. A wonderful lady even came over to show the iPad menu for me to order even though it was preferred QR scan from own device. I was able to continue running a meeting without any issues and enjoy one of their great drinks!!My go to drink here is definitely the 50/50 (half Vietnamese phin dripped coffee and half black tea), probably the best Ive had of its kind in the New England area! Also have had their sweet crepes and other baked goods (UBE LAVA CAKE!!) on several occasions and can recommend. Their outdoor patio area is really great to sit at when the weather permits.
A wonderful addition to diversify the neighborhood. A minority-owned cafe that even continues the Crepe tradition from previous owners. Very warm and welcoming owner to both humans and pets!! I recommend the Viet iced coffee and cinnamon crepe!
Wonderful and quaint establishment. great tasting crepes, strong cold brew (tastes like a good chocolate stout), nice atmosphere, and friendly folks running this business. owner was overly generous and chatted with me to give me recommendations of places to visit in the area. would definitely recommend to anyone in the fenway park area.
Didnt have the best experience and then had a mistake on my takeout order, but the staff were friendly and the food was good. I called and asked for a partial refund which they agreed to and apologized. I know stuff like that happens so I would give them another try and update my review if my experience was better.UPDATE: After seeing my feedback they issued me a full refund, which I appreciated. Thanks Betsy!
Waited 25 minutes to get a sandwich for takeout while other people got their drinks/food. When I asked where my sandwich was, the lady at the front said she saw it made but they never wrapped it or called my name. Waited another 10 minutes after that to get my food. Not sure if the kitchen just had a bad day, but prepare to wait around.
I genuinely don’t understand the bad reviews because my experience was absolutely fantastic. Everyone working was super friendly and helpful! I got the 50/50 thanks to their recommendation and it was soooooo good. It is a combination of their oolong milk tea and the Vietnamese coffee. I loved that it wasn’t too sweet nor too milky. I’m glad I convinced my friends to drive 20min to this place because they loved it too.
My partner and I first discovered Phinista last month, and we went back twice in one week we had such an amazing experience. I’ve had both their Croque Madame and Sweet Caroline savory crepes, and theyre absolutely delicious. They also have my favorite milk tea in Boston. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. When I stopped in this morning, I was recommend to try the Oolong Milk Tea for the first time, and I’m so glad it was suggested because I think it’s my new favorite :) thanks to everyone at Phinista for being so amazing!
I heard about the new management couple weeks ago and was able to try them yesterday. Their service was awesome, the owners and staffs were very nice and friendly. They still carry the vibe that Neighborhoods had but newer and younger. The Ca Phe Sua Da (Viet Latte) was a great kick for my morning and the CM crepe was so yummy.
Great food and team, highly recommend!
Horrendous service. No menu anywhere spent 10 minutes standing in front of one of two employees who ignored me while I tried to find a menu online .The other employee finally gave me a menu, another 2 minutes later finally got a drink which was not what I had ordered. Will never go again.
One of my favorite cafes in Boston. The matcha latte is great and the staff members are friendly too.
I love that there is a vietnamese cafe in the Fenway area. I saw that they offer banh mi so I order the banh mi cold cuts. It was good but it seem to be missing something. I walk back to work and realize that the banh mi was missing the buttery mayonnaise that Ba Le in Dorchester put on their banh mi. Plus the jalapeño was not even spicy and I only saw maybe one or two in my banh mi. I also had the ice Thai tea which was excellent with the boba. I will have to see if I should get the grill meat next time.
Great vietnamese coffee! Crepes were good as well and seems like the menu has been expanding.
The coffee is out of this world. Delicious and creative flavor combinations. I love the Rose flavored latte. Weve tried both the crepes and the bahn mi. Cant wait to go back to try the pho!
Nice spot for quality Cafe food. The service was very friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable I would say.
