Tried to rent a pickup truck at another location, but due to inventory we were hooked up with a cargo van at this location. Service was very polite, got us in and out on the road in 5 minutes. Returning the vehicle after hours was a piece of cake with the u-haul app. No complaints on our end. 👍

Rented a 6 * 12 trailer about two months back from this location. Patrick was the one who assisted me with the checkin process. He was so patient and very helpful. My vehicle had a tight spot in the hitch and the chains weren’t sliding through easily. Patrick had to lay flat on the ground to be able to get the chains through the hitch. He did it all with a smile and didn’t complain anything about the narrow openings on my hitch. It’s people like Patrick who make U-Haul a great place to rent trucks and trailers!

The general manager is amazing! I had major issues with another U-Haul location and this GM did everything in his power to make it right. He made sure that the trailer was safe and working properly so that I could go on a very long distance drive. Cant say enough good things about this guy.

To the two people who were there Friday July 29th, thank you again. I reserved my truck through the app for Friday at 9:30. When I arrived there to pick up my truck, I was told they didnt have a truck for me. They said there is a disconnect between reserving a truck through the app and reserving in person. That the app just says it has a truck for you even though they store may not. The staff worked to find me a truck. Thankfully! I had hired movers, so them finding a truck for me was incredible.

Organized, had everything ready by my arrival and return was a breeze. Truly a different experience from some of the other locations. This crew has it down! Best in town!

First off Julie is very sweet, she made accommodations for me to drop off in a different town and of course I paid more due to that reason. She said for me to call back with the location I will be dropping it off in, which I just called to give the information as agreed upon. I spoke to a guy who answered the phone and he told me NO I must drop it off back at this location bc they own those trailers, and he had a family waiting to pick the one I had up, I asked to speak to Julie, and then he told me he was the GM there and he was Julies boss. I told him that I was charged extra and this is what was on my contract. He asked to put me on hold and I said sure. He gets back on the phone and said I can drop it off at any location, I was mid sentence asking if he needed the address, and he hung the phone up in my ear. How he treated me is why this location got 3 stars, if it wasn’t for Julie it was have received 1 and if it wasn’t for him it would have gotten 5 stars. I paid extra, did my part, and he was rude to me bc he is mad at Julie for making accommodations. He should not get to be the GM if this is how he treats paying customers! He was rude and disrespectful!

Came here for moving supplies on a really bad day. I didnt get a name but I think someone said he was the boss. He was very kind and funny and made me laugh when I didnt think that Id be able to. His kindness was really and truly appreciated and made me smile for the first time in two days. Thank you.

Staff member there was extremely rude and unpleasant. Would not let us have the truck we had reserved, totally screwing up our move. Also, the pods are TERRIBLE, dont use them. Rent bigger pods elsewhere. The size of these are ridiculous, its hard to fit anything in them. Its also not made clear that you cant access the pods anytime, but have to be there within opening hours so they can unlock for you. The whole experience is a joke.

Phoned to ask if they do propane for rvs now. It says they do on their website but many of them dont. Phoned with a simple question. Had to go through two phone trees and then the phone wait was 54 minutes! Not worth it.

Norvell was extremely helpful working his behind off to make sure I was situated.The 20 footer was not ready because the previous customer never brought it back but he set up up in a 26 footer with more space and the same price as well as helping us find the best products for our move that day.great service and overall an incredible employee and asset to this company !!!!

Awesome job wiring my truck with a brake controller and also a 7 prong from a factory 4 prong. I was referred to this uhaul by another company and they wired my truck up in about two hours. I drove from Austin to Plainview with my new brake controller and 7 prong hook up, everything worked like I expected and the new wiring looks great. They’re team had to rewire my whole truck but they did and the job was done quick and looks good, also everything works as it should. Customer service was excellent, especially the installers they found a blown fuse that I didn’t even know about. Awesome team, I highly recommend them for any of your trailer wiring needs.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Neither person working here (at the front desk, mind you, they weren’t doing anything physically taxing) was wearing a mask. Uhaul doesn’t care if you die, apparently. I will remember that for my next move. Don’t touch this company, and especially this location, with a 10 foot pole.

Best place to get rude service, unprofessional and great way to NOT go back. By all means go ahead.Getting triple charged and and getting called pretty much a liar is what you never want to expect from any place.Well this location is great at it.Only person who helped and was outstanding and comprehensive was Norvell. Ive had a great experience with this company except for when Raevonne D. started. She is always so rude and walks by you like you dont exists, when you ask her a question. Avoid rentals from this Uhaul location. This site has negligent employees/management, very poor customer service, poor quality control (trailer without operational brake/taillights) and lands you with outlandish unexpected extra charges. We rented a covered trailer to move some materials between Home depot and our home last week. When we arrived to pick up, we were hooked up to a trailer without working brake lights. We showed concern for our safety hauling materials in rainy weather without brake lights and asked if there were any trailers onsite that had the appropriate safety lights for us to take instead. The UHaul employee responded but you have insurance right? We responded with concern for our safety and the safety of others as the employee on site grew visibly annoyed. He then stormed off into the UHaul facility without a word. We were shocked at the response for something so obviously negligent but followed the employee inside to understand our options. The employee exited the facility with a set of keys. He pulled around with a new trailer, switched the hookups and told us to pre-pay/check out. It was a very uncomfortable & unprofessional experience. When we returned the trailer, the same employee unhooked us in the drop off zone and told us we were good to go. We prepaid and returned the trailer clean/on-time, but noticed a duplicate charge on our record the next day. When we called to inquire, we were told that management duplicated the charge because we did not go inside to check-out on return. We spoke to management to clarify that we were informed by her employee we did not need to do anything to check out after he unhooked the vehicle - his exact words youre good to go! It then took two days to dispute the charge, get in touch with management at the facility and get our refund for the petty charge back. Save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere if you have the choice!

I just left after waiting 20 minutes in the cold for propane, with not even an acknowledgment of my presence (after ringing the bell for service, of course). This is the 3rd time Ive left without getting service after a long wait. It will be the last. At least SOME acknowledgment that someone knows Im there, ANYTHING would be better than having no idea whether Im freezing my fingers off for no reason at all.The one time I was successful, after waiting outside to refill, I then had to wait in line inside to pay, behind people having all kinds of major service issues. This is an absurd system.

These folks are awesome. Last minute trailer rental (like 5 minutes before they closed) and they were extremely helpful and courteous.I hate pulling last minute stuff like this on people who are just trying to get home to their families but MAN they were helpful.

I have had many good experiences with Uhaul over the years at other locations - this location should be avoided at all costs. I had a pick up scheduled for noon on august 23rd. Upon realizing I would be running late, I called in the morning to ask if it would be alright to pick up in the evening. The person on the phone asked for very sparse information about my reservation, but assured me that this would be no issue. He failed to inform that they close at 5PM on sunday. Upon my arrival, another employee, who was very condescending and rude, informed that it 5:13 and that they were closed AND LAUGHED AT ME. I then checked my reservation, and to my surprise, they had, WITHOUT PROVIDING ME ANY SORT OF NOTICE WHATSOEVER, cancelled my reservation the day I was scheduled to move to a new city. Do yourself a favor, rent at a different location. Literally any other location. @UHAUL Corporate, do yourselves a favor, and please put new management in place at this location, or revoke the franchising license these people have. This is all not to mention the ridiculously bad roads in this particular location. You will scrape the bottom of your car here 10000%. I cannot accurately encapsulate my frustration with my experience at this location, but i hope this does some justice to it, and will encourage others to PLEASE use a different location.

On the phone I spoke with a sweet lady who answered all my questions and more. Once I arrived for my pick there was no one in the store. I walked to my car to grab my phone and came back in the store there was no one there. Once I seen someone it took him ten or more minutes to say a word to me. He walks away again and tells me someone will be with me and left . I could have robbed the place as long as he was gone. This is not a good place to rent from. I went to Home Depot with much better customer service. I will never think about renting with U-Haul again

This location is very unprofessional and honestly just as unethical as can be, I make a reservation for a day only to be called and demanded that I bring the truck back after I have already filled the truck with my things and they expect me to bring it back to them after I was already approved and paid for. the GM is very crooked and I am very upset by the way I was treated at this location. I had to walk in the rain with my son and his car seat all the way back home because of the inconvenience I experienced from this location if you can go to another please do and save the possibility of the nonsense these clowns will try to give you . I will say there is one decent employee his name is Mason I appreciate his kindness but the GM and everybody else involved simply do not care.

Went there for a hitch installation which was scheduled and paid two weeks prior. Had to wait for 20 minutes in line, although there was just one customer in front of me, just to learn that they cant find the part. Nobody called or sent a message. Waste of time.

My u-haul trailer rental was great.Aldo I purchase the rental insurance and when I had to file a claim they found every possible way to denied my claim.There quick to take the extra money but wont cover you for s****.

I really was impressed with the service.I neede to return the one way rental trailer and this UHaul was closet but not what the reservations put as drop off.The owner worked it where I could with no extra charges and me not having to wait on hold for customer service.Job well done!

This place saved my day. After having a tough time at a different location, a very nice lady employee hooked up a trailer I wanted and another employee named Chris had me in and out of the shop timely, and with no reservation. I will be bring my business here from now on.

Paid for the $70 for the contract, was charged more than double. For the contract totaling $170.85. Added 20 extra miles to my vehicle and tried to charge me two days worth of rental. Received $27 as a refund. My gf who rented the same vehicle for the same move was charged less than $80.... this U-Haul is a rip off

My experience at U-Haul was truly horrible. When I arrived it took longer than expected to check out the vehicle because their system was having issues. But all that was fine, the cargo van I rented seemed nice and new. My wife and I loaded the van and begin driving, couple minutes into the drive the van made a noise and began grinding anytime it was moved. I parked on the side of the road and called U-Hauls roadside assistance. In the middle of Austin on a Saturday afternoon it took 3 hours for roadside assistance to come look at the van. The issue was a broken carrier bearing mount. Roadside assistance was able to repair the van, mostly. I was able to deliver my items and return the van. Back at U-Haul the service team once again took longer than expected. And had no consideration for the difficulty that my wife and I experienced with their van. I do not expect to use U-Haul again in the future.

Unprofessional and highly discourteous was a Lady that works in the frontBeen renting from uhaul for nearly 10 years and after that incident with her I will never return to uhaul. Her customer service was the worst and most grotesque

Let me just say, theyre super friendly and enjoyable to do business with. And the problem I experienced belongs at least as much to UHaul Corporate, which says on their website that my little car, a Honda Fit, can tow their 4 x 8 trailer.Not if you fill the trailer up with all your belongings and start moving 2000 miles away.

A lot of the complaints on here are for customer service. But all I care about is the product Im renting. I made a reservation online in under 5 minutes. I picked up the moving truck on time and received a quote for the likely amount. They gave me the option to return it early for a lower cost which was even better. I was out in under 5 minutes. The truck was clean with no issues. I returned it early and was given a final price which was lower than originally quoted. I was out the door.This place runs smoothly. Rent your truck here.

In August 2016, I had my Subaru wired to pull a trailer at the Burnet Rd/183 uhaul. Fast forward to March 2019, my trailers light won’t work and the wiring apparatus is blowing fuses/smoking. I stop by the same uhaul, Journey greets me, comes out to assess the situation, then gets to work. With a little phone assistance from the general manager, she replaces the faulty apparatus (and refills two propane tanks for other customers) with friendly attitude. Give Journey a raise!

Having recently moved from the east coast to Austin, have had several good experiences with U-Haul in general, but my experiences at this location make me question the companys control of its franchise and I will reconsider using them again. I have used this storage facility for approximately 3 months. Two incidents in the past month show their lack of customer service. First, I was late one day (ONE DAY) in paying this months storage. Paid in the am and went to take something there and found the door padlocked. They said that it was policy to padlock on the first late day. Personally, I find that pretty severe. That was the minor incident though. Last night, I went just before 9 pm (didnt realize I would have had to pay extra for 24 access.) I was there for fifteen minutes and when tried to exit, the gate code key said that I was past my time and would not open. I was locked into the grounds with my wife and 2.5 year old. Luckily, I had my site info sheet in the car and called the number on it. I got some distant customer service who transferred me twice before they disconnected with me. This happened one more time and it took a third call to finally get through. After two transfers, I finally got the local general manager. I realize I was a bit terse and angry, but this was after being passed around for 30 minutes, virtually imprisoned. He totally copped an attitude back and would not just give me an emergency code to write down (I was on blue tooth with car speakers and couldnt walk to the keypad and still hear him and was afraid would be disconnected again.) At that point, he said well there is someone on site who could let me out. This after one hour after being let in the facility and 45 minutes of calls with at least 9 transfers and two disconnects and a baby in the car. Oh, I almost forgot, he was kind enough to tell me that if I got trapped (my words) again, he would make sure to charge me the extra 24 hour access charge but would forgive it this time. I had been on a waiting list for another company and they called twice and I said no but now will move out of this prison as soon as I can find another place.

I knew that the trailer power connector on my friends car was not providing tail light voltage, assumed it was a blown fuse, but had no idea where the fuse was. I brought it into this U-Haul location, and the employee there spent some time locating the fuse, which was in a box under the hood, and the fuse itself was kinda tricky to get to. He spent probably 10 minutes on this task and did not charge me, which was very kind of him. If I need any more involved trailer work done in the future, I will definitely have the work done here.

I called this location of U-Haul to get a price on the purchase and installation of a trailer brake controller. I was quoted an installation price of $40.00. I made an appointment. When I arrived I was told that the installation would be $80.00 and that the person who quoted the install had entered the wrong item into the computer. I asked why the install would be double and was told that the wiring had to be run from the dash to the coupler at the bumper. I explained that my vehicle was pre-wired. No matter - $80.00. No thanks!

Reserving was very easy online. When I went to the store to pick up, they had my truck waiting on me. The drop off process was very easy, as well. Great value for the truck.

Great peopel all around clean place,every time u get in a truck. it has the engine running and the A/C on for u when u open the door. Their inventory is always stocked. All the employes have smiles and theyre always ready to help manager is a great guy he will do whatever it takes to help you out.they all have new cargo vans and pickup trucks that are always clean on the outside and inside

Ive called multiple times and different locations and it seems no one is there to answer the phones. The one person who did answer ask me to hold on and I waited for 15mins until I just hung up. If they get that part better Im sure theylthhave higher stars from me.

Very easy in and out reservation with a 17 truck. Theyre also very helpful in selecting your moving supplies. I highly recommend it.

I came to rent a 6x12 trailer for a 1-way to drop it off in another city. I had a reservation and they reserved it wrong with a smaller trailer, they then did not reserve it as a 1-way. I had informed them it was wrong and get the right trailer however he didnt set it as 1-way and charged my card as a return to their location. they then had to reverse it and only told me you have to pay for 2 insurances since you will have it for 2 days and there is a SMALL 1-way fee. i agreed and they took my card - never telling me of my new total or how much the fee was and charged my card - and sent me on my way. little did i know that the fee was $150. they charged me $180 and admitted to me that they didnt tell me how much it was and it was their fault yet wont fix it and give me my money back. they were rude and said i guess ill make sure to tell the next customer i do not recommend this location.

Never do business with these people. Ive lived in the neighborhood behind Uhaul for over 25 years. In the last year they have expanded there Repair shop by tearing out the back wall of existing ( out of code ) building and adding 3 Semi truck sized service bays. The Mechanics start there operation before 6:00 A.M. They are violating so many sound and lighting violations that its not believable. They tear apart and repair Uhaul trailers. The noise in unbelievable. They dump trash in the easement. Lots of trash. and despite asking there staff face to face, they have ignored warnings. The police have been called over 20 times. Complaints filed with city. Nothing. The worst part is that they are dumping toxic waste into the Shoal creek watershed. They degrease engines etc.. in the shop and wash the wastewater down a drain and into the easement behind there fence. That toxic pool sits there and eventually washing into Ladybird Lake. This operation is owned privately and has no regard for its neighbors or environment. Take this into consideration when you spend money at Uhaul on Burnet RD. All this is true

This place is by far the worst storage u can rent its so hot in there u can get a heat stroke (climate control bs) . Uhaul customer service is a joke they said they will open a investigation and give me a call within 48 hours its been 2 months and still havent got a call besides that I had two reps hung up on me and had been transfer to all this different departments that could not answer my question if u want to get a heat stroke this is your united and if u want to be hung up and lied to call uhaul !!!!! I reserved a truck days before needed providing my CC # & DL. Just to make it to the location and get told minutes away from my move that they could not rent me the truck. They also would not rent my friend a truck merely because he was with me. When inquired as to what the issue was, Uhaul corporate brought up previous charges dated back to 2001. They provided no real explanation of the charges what so ever. In 14 years Ive rented fom Uhaul on sereral times and had no issue.I never received any communication about these charges. I was thankfully able to get a nice truck from BUDGET. No hassel no issues. I personally will be filing a detailed report with the BBB. Uhaul customer service and business practices are VERYY OUTDATED and caused a huge inconvenience. I had military individuals travling from out of town to assist with the move. Being a single mother and working with time constraints made what should have been a simple move, a nightmare. I will never rent from another Uhaul facility again. Ill be sure that my friends and family know about this in hopes that they will avoid a similar experience.

Inconvenient parking to main storage area and continuous problems with the sliding door make loading and unloading extremely difficult. The main door has been unusable 70% of the times Ive tried to access my unit. Side door will sometimes trigger an alarm that no one responds to.
