I have had the WORST experience renting here so far! I made a reservation for a 10x5 unit and was supposed to be called back to complete my reservation (Kristine never called me) so I followed up, she confirmed basically forgot. She then tried to charge me a higher rate! I explained she should honor the rate given so she agreed however when I show up with my family eager to unload to see she reserved me a 5x10. After finally getting transferred to my correct unit (very time consuming) Kristine wouldn’t help me find my unit just direct me over the phone. After getting lost she finally comes to help. Somehow she says she doesn’t remember us speaking about that size however it was under my reservation. After a long day of waiting I got the unit I requested and she confirmed she would call me for new paperwork.When she called me for new paperwork she tried telling me a different price yet AGAIN! Had to send her screenshots to prove my original rate. She said she would sent it to corporate and have my rate changed however when Kristine calls me back… with paperwork saying the wrong rate YET AGAIN and tries to get me sign it. I told her I don’t feel comfortable signing anything with the wrong rate so she starts making excuses saying the rate takes 24 hours to change on the sheet so I asked her to call me back in 24 hours. It’s been 2 days and I haven’t heard anything from Kristine and I have no contact to my 10x5 unit.Overall I feel Kristine doesn’t want to honor the price I should receive so she is giving me excuses on why she won’t send me correct paperwork. I have called up to the office and still nothing. All I want is a contract for the rate I was promised but since nobody followed up on my reservation (their job) I’m having to jump through hoops to get my correct rate. The manager (Terry Nance-Trimble) knows the situation however refuses to step in to help or settle it. I can’t believe how terrible then customer service has been since I’ve got my unit!! The lack of communication or urgency to handle the situation is nonexistent. I’m going to keep following up until I get a contract with the CORRECT size and rate!Update: the district manager contacted to me to apologize, still doesn’t make things right but appreciate him reaching out and getting things corrected.

The people at cubesmart are much less accommodating than when it was extra space. They were not helpful in changing the size of my unit. Also two elevators are broken and three windows have shattered glass. Does not feel safe. The one exception is Omar, who originally helped me and was lovely! The other employees were not helpful or nice.

Signing up online was easy an Terry was very helpful when we arrived. Everything was clean and convenient. Really glad we rented a storage space at this facility.

We moved to Austin from New Orleans because of Covid. Extra Space made our move very easy. They were great at telling me how to communicate with our movers. Subsequently, we needed an additional unit. The managers made finding a new unit easy. In both cases, they left a lock for us in the unit. And, they even partially cut the lock package open so we could avoid battling the plastic package. Always thoughtful, they anticipate the needs of their renters. Excellent storage facility.

Obtaining a unit was pretty easy by phone, email, and Docusign. Emailed instructions and a followup phone call from the facility provided all needed information for the first visit, access, and lock installation. Very organized, secure, and clean.

I had always thought if you have to store something you shouldnt keep it, until I actually had to store something. I had pictured storage spaces to be scary, dark, grime places so was thrilled to see the space was clean, well-lighted, and safe. The staff was calm, patient, friendly and informative. The price for a 10x5 was better than I would have guessed. Im very app to have had such a good storage experience.

This is my second time using Extra Space Storage at this location to store my things and I can definitely say if I need to in the future I would use them again. The property is clean and the staff are courteous and overall very helpful. The rates can fluctuate but it isnt unreasonable.

Extra Space Storage was the absolute easiest experience I have had with regard to storage facilities. From my initial call, to the contract execution, this experience was fabulous!

I took over a unit from my friend and the staff at Extra Space Storage made the process really easy and seamless! They were really friendly and worked around my busy day (calling me back twice, when I had time) in order to help me set up my lease!

Im currently in Building 2 where I have a storage locker on an upper floor, which can only be accessed by elevator. Unfortunately, BOTH elevators are not working. One elevator has been out of service for WEEKS so it doesnt appear management is in any rush to get them fixed.This means that every time I try and access my locker its a tossup whether I can even get to it. This is extremely disappointing. One of their selling points is that youll be able to access your locker at any time during access hours, but thats clearly not the case. Additionally, their offices are closed on Sundays so if you run into trouble while running a weekend errand, you could be out of luck for an entire day.This is not the first time Ive run into an issue and subsequently been unable to access my locker.

Far as the industry goes, Extra Space does their customers correct. Extra shouts to Kristen (Kristin?) at my location at 5656 N IH 35, for taking care of business in a flash. On point, super polite, and with all the facts.Much appreciated!

I’m really confused. I think CubeSmart has acquired this ExtraSpace facility. I am unable to login to either website to pay my bill or get anyone on the phone and I’m deeply worried about my stuff in my unit ! Please contact me..

Terry Luv Nance-Trimble is an excellent manager at ExtraSpace Storage on 5656 N IH 35, Austin, TX 78751. He patiently helped me to look for a unit and walked me through the process with the contract. I also had confusion about sign up the account on the website, Chelsie (from Chat room) also patiently helped me through how to get the account set up. The trick was once you requested a code to sign up the account t you have to use a different browser to open your email to get the code. I am thankful for Terry’s and Chelsie’s assistance throughout the renting process.

Stay Away, they steal your money, rent went up double, they can literally upcharge you 100k if they want to, and their stinky agreement allows them to do that.60$ turned out 120$ and they didnt even sent an email!!!I will look into legal actions against Extra Space

Great storage location! The units are clean, climate controlled and priced competitively. We were on the third floor and had no problem using the elevator and available cart/dolly to move our items from the parking space (right next to the entrance) to our unit. We also had some questions when we first arrived, and the staff there were friendly and helpful.

Top-notch facility and customer service. Terry helped us set-up the rental, James and Sergio helped us on move-out day, and the whole process could not have been easier. Pricing was lower than the other big name facilities, and we always got charged exactly as expected. Highly recommend.

A HUGE thanks to Christine yesterday! Give that girl a raise! My storage keys were left over 1000 miles away and I needed them to open my lock ASAP.Initially, I was told that I needed to wait at least 30 minutes before Christine came back from lunch since the other employee was leaving, but she must have came back early.She flagged me down in my car to tell me she could take care of it right away after I signed my “lock cut agreement.”I realized breaking those kinds of locks is NO easy task and she spent a lot of time and energy with her massive drill bit to break the lock.Unfortunately, my brother has a unit in the same facility and he didn’t have his keys either. I apologized profusely for her having to unlock his right after mine, and she said it was no problem at all, even considering it is a tough job and time consuming.She had a warm, friendly disposition and never hesitated—and even completed it with a smile.I felt no shame and she came back shortly to clean up the metal shavings. Total professionalism that you just don’t find much anymore.Thank you again, Christine for going that extra mile. It was greatly appreciated during a stressful time.

This place just changed from ExtraSpace Storage to CubeSmart, apparently, but it doesnt change the fact that 1 of 2 elevators hasnt work in the building for months. Makes moving inconvenient and it appears there is no rush to fix the elevator.

The whole process can be done online from unit selection to payment and lease requirements, which I prefer. Within a few short minutes I had my unit number and access information supplied with a lock at arrival. So streamlined, convenient, well-lit, and affordable!

The renting process was super easy. Just wish the access extended later than 10pm because of my work schedule. I’ve had the unit for a week and still haven’t been able to access it because of the hours.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Apparently Cube Smart bought this Extra Space location and gave us ZERO warning, did not ask our permission to have our data or financial info transferred . . . . Avoid renting here at all costs.

Over the years Ive rented mini storage rooms but nothing compares to Extra Space Storage it is clean its safe and the security on that property is through the roof the staff is awesome very polite very nice all around the property is clean and looks great highly recommend this storage facility to anybody and the prices are awesome

Rented an indoor non climate controlled unit for a year and had a very good experience. new clean space, and even tho my unit was non climate controlled, it never got too hot nor too cold in my space. UPDATE: For only having a unit for almost 4 months I can say that my unit was a target of theft. There was no alarm nor communication right off the bat until hours later that the theft happened. There needs to an alarm system when someone breaks the doors to the storage building or something.First off, great customer service from Terry. He helped in touring the facility letting us know about all the amenities. The price is reasonable and given there so many perks that other storage place dont have, well its a good deal. 10/10 recommend

This place is awesome. I booked online quick and easy and very transparent as to what I was getting. I was checked in and contract handled in 5 minutes. They were very personable Terry called the minute I made a reservation, Stephanie was friendly with showing me around the facility and knocking out the contract thoroughly and efficiently. I have rented for years at other big brand shops in Austin for 15 years as I own 2 boats, a camper and a few trailers. Extra Space has a nice model, clean facilities, easy access modernized technology makes for a seamless quick low hassle quality experience.

Today, I needed somewhere to store belongings in a hurry. I saw that Extra Space Storage have online specials for their storage facility and I needed a smaller unit. Thankfully, Chris helped me find what I needed quickly! Chris showed me around the facility, and it is very nice! He described how the security systems work and their liability coverage very thoroughly. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and he knew all the details, giving him an air of expertise in finding the correct unit for any customer who needs storage. Terry, the manager of the facility, was great and made me feel welcome to the facility. Its nice to know that there are place out there that really look out for the customer. I feel like storage units are always a headache. Theyre expensive, inconvenient, dirty, etc, etc. NOT THE CASE with this one. Its spotless to the point where you could comfortable eat off the floor. Not a insect in site, well lit, secure, and the fellas in the office are super helpful. Getting a unit was a quick, easy, and inexpensive process and moving everything in was super easy with the available carts to assist. Thanks for making it easy!

I cannot say enough good about this storage facility I am a new customer to this facility and a first time renter of a storage facility. I was treated like visiting royalty. No kidding!! I was treated like I really meant a lot to them as a customer. And from the call center all the way down to the people in the facility I was handled with caring, thoughtful, helpful, gloves to which I am extremely grateful. These people were very accommodating and polite to a fault. Like I said I cannot say enough good about this facility if you were looking for an air-conditioned facility that is kept clean and secure and not to have to worry one iota about your stuff then I would say shop no more and if all of their facilities or handled the way this one was I would say its a good bet that this would be the place I will always keep my things. I have friends that use other facilities and I have seen how they are capped. And quite frankly I am quite content staying where I am at extra space given what I paid for the space versus what the services that I get for my money. This is a trust-worthy location to store your belongings! Terry provided a wonderful experience to help me get a unit that would work for me. I got a great deal and even managed to receive a unit on the first floor very close to the facility entrance which will make moving in and out easy on me. I had planned to use another company just down the street but wasn’t able to get the size I wanted so googled what was nearby and am so glad because the online price I received is an excellent value, especially for the location. & this is as good as it gets location wise, it’s not only central but it’s literally on I-35. I arrived at 5:30pm, was quickly shown a unit, we went over and signed the contract and I was moving my stuff in by 6pm. My only complaint is that I didn’t get the $1 first month as advertised, apparently that only applies if you pay full price for the unit, which I definitely did not:) I opted for a non climate controlled unit and am very happy with it because it’s inside the building and so it’s not exposed to the elements like most non climate controlled units I’ve seen. The facility is only 2 yrs old so it’s very clean and everything is in working order, the elevators are large and pretty fast and they have carts!! Thank you Terry for the excellent customer service today!

Finally, a truly professional outfit! Going in, I had low expectations due to previous experiences with other self storage companies. Boy, was I wrong!Chris, the location manager, was polite, quick to call about my reservation, and was able to fit me in to view the unit half hour before closing. I couldn’t believe it; what other place actually accommodates a customer like that right around closing time. He was knowledgeable about the location and actually answered all of my questions with succinct responses vs the typical “yeah, probably”. From reservation to finalizing the lease, I was done in under half hour. He helped make the process painless and easy.Regarding the location and building, it was clean and swept up. No trash or soiled mattresses laying about like at other places. Plenty of parking, even for big moving trucks. There are hand carts available right near the elevator, and there’s actually more than one. Perfect! Elevators are quick, an padded.Security is impressive and made me feel much better about storing my things here. They have cameras throughout and secure keypads that limit access.Access is right off the service road on I-35, easy to find and drive into.TL;DR: Clean and accessible place, property manager Chris is professional, top notch security.

My experience at this storage place was all positive. As I looked at the size I wanted, I noticed how clean everything was in the building. The sign-up process was quick and all my questions were answered.

ALWAYS CLEAN, climate controlled, great value, and an always friendly staff. I couldn’t ask for anything more!

Initially upon opening my account with extra space everything was fine everything was great and that was under a different manager. As I progressed and had to move on they changed management about a month before I had to move on and I noticed from the get-go before I even thought about believing that there were problems and unanswered questions and craned eyebrows about the way things were being done around their contrary to what they had been done previously. I also had a good rapport with the general manager who seem to miraculously disappear after James the current manager came on site period and refuse to be helpful and refused to give me the general managers email address because he was going to handle the situation. Oh he handled the situation all right.... Nothing was ever resolved nothing was ever done to make me happy or a satisfied customer. Like I said the previous manager was fantastic but the current manager there is a jerk, a moron, and unsuitable for management. Someday extra space will understand and fire this idiot. Enough said! And I tell the truth. Feel free to email if you wish. I have other answers.... Very very disgruntled customer.

Just moved into a large unit (10x20) last week, and the experience has been great so far! I mean, theres only so much you can say about a storage facility, but these guys definitely have it together - super clean, VERY secure facility, and very competitive rates. James helped me get set up, and was awesome with answering questions. Super friendly and helpful. The whole process took maybe 20 minutes. Keep it up, guys!

Great location, clean and awesome service. Cody got me through the intro, setup and move in very quickly and smoothly. Floors of the storage are also polished which takes my mind off scratching things on the bottom.

I highly recommend this location. Terry, the representative, is attentive, professional and efficient. The units seem well guarded and there seems to be no threat of break ins. The units are easily accessible and very clean. By far one of the best facilities I have rented from.

Im editing my review. The salesman who helped us, Cody, basically forced us to give them a five star review and watched over my shoulder while I did it before he helped us, and said he wasn’t supposed to be helping us like that in a secretive voice as his boss was there. To start, he basically lied to us when we first got the unit saying they had a deal on the larger units for the first month, so we should move into that first, then before we get billed for the second month, we switch to a smaller unit and therefore save money, which ended up being a lie. We go back a day before they were supposed to bill us for the second month and move our stuff into a smaller unit and sign a new renters agreement and end the other one. We paid $85 for the new smaller unit that day. Then, i woke up the next morning and checked my bank account only to find that they still charged me for the second month of the larger unit we moved out of, which was an extra $123. I don’t have a car and rely on ride share and public transportation to get to work, and they left me with $2 in my bank account, so they severely hindered my ability to get to work, as well as afford food and other expenses. I called them to have it refunded, which they did, but because it was Friday, the refund wouldn’t post until the next week, and still hasn’t. The guy I spoke to on the phone said the salesman who helped us initially probably just forgot to cancel our agreement on the other unit, which I don’t believe because we sat there and signed a completely new agreement and spent time moving our stuff. Very unprofessional and I will be speaking to a person in a higher position about the situation.

I had a great experience moving in - with help from Terry. The facility is very new and has easy access to second floor storage unit with carts and elevator. I also had a good experience singing up remotely from an Extra Space Storage unit in Houston to allow me to have my contract sorted before I got here.

Terry is very helpful and knows what he is doing. At first i was a bit apprehensive to try out this brand new storage facility, but since I found myself in the position of needing to move quickly, their being right across the street was extremely convenient. Terry helped me sign ask the documents necessary today, and thankfully, his finesse and cheerful demeanor made me feel instantly at ease. His vast knowledge is the facility is impressive, and the expedience inn which he used were exhilarating. The facility looks a little empty but its not off-putting. I look forward to chatting with Terry again sometime very soon.

Very clean place & plenty of space to store your merchandise

Just rented my spaces which will allow the Marie Kondo in me to finally get things out of my home and into secure, climate controlled areas for proper storage and eventual donation/recycle/toss. Terry Trimble walked me through all of my choices to figure out which setup would work best for my needs and budget. He even stayed to make sure we knew how to use the special locks for the units. Terry and the team at Extra Space have made our storage experience so easy. From adding last minute units, updating account info, to getting new locks handled and handling deliveries, it has been seriously a pleasure, which I know is random to say when reviewing a storage unit facility haha. The facilities are clean and feel safe. Definitely recommend!
