On the phone the gentleman I spoke with was extremely nice and very helpful. I think his name was Andy or Andrew? (I could be wrong) but when we went in another gentleman was who helped us and he was short and rude. I realize we werent spending a lot of money there (only $1400) but I didnt expect to be treated so rudely.

I was looking to purchase a Sony 75” tv, I went to A&BTV and they had in stock, it was sold out everywhere else, great price, great customer service, transaction a breeze, friendly staff and the most important thing, these guys know about tv’s!

Outstanding! I looked left and right for the Samsung Frame TVs - my brother had one and I really liked how well they fit in with wall art. Great for my bedroom. Went to the store after years of driving by, I saw the Statesman ad and during research I realized that they were an authorized dealer for all A/V products.I came in store to get eyes on an item I had researched for a while. Sales staff was fast, honest, and were more than happy to answer questions, while at the same time admitting not knowing small niche setting in the receiver (no one would know the answer unless you had the book in your hand).I know the next time I need anything A/V related, this is the place to have quality products.

I’ve gone to Harlan at A&B TV for most of my AV needs for the past 3 years and plan to continue to do so in the future. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. It also is great that A&B carries most of the premium AV brands that I’ve been interested in.

I recently bought a number of Sonos devices as well as a new TV to go into our newly remodeled house, Jeffrey was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. The pricing was very competitive! I am extremely happy with the way I was treated and the customer service was fantastic.After the install, I was encountering a sound lag/lip sync issue with my new TV. I called A & B TV. They were minutes from closing and John answered. He told me to call him back on his cell and we would work together to fix this issue. There were numerous phone calls between John, his installers and I. We were able to fix the issue with a little trial and error, ultimately, by adjusting a setting on the cable box. John easily spent at least 45 minutes after the store closed helping resolve this issue that wasnt even related to the products purchased in-store. A&B TV has my business forever with their attention to customer service and their willingness to do whatever it takes. It says it all when they are willing to go the extra mile to come up with a solution for a technical issue, especially after hours, and not tell you to call some help line. There are few, if any, electronics retailers that will do this.Jeffrey and John rock!

Dont waste your time Theres a reason why they dont put their prices on the website... Unfortunately for me, I wasted my time going in and then when I told them Im going to go to a few other stores and look at their prices. They said its the same everywhere but I eventually found a better product at a better price at Best Buy!

I just moved to Austin 6 months ago. My neighbor turned me on to A+B TV. I was a little hesitant t deal with a non-big box store, but their pricing was competitive, and the selection was much better than the big box places. Best of all, A+B’s sales staff knew the products. I’ve called them several times with questions about the receiver I bought. I’ve talked with 2 or 3 different people there, they were all knowledgeable, and I was able to get all my questions answered without calling the manufacturer. If you’re in the market for home electronics, check this place out!

Went in to buy a receiver and subwoofer. Was treated rudely by salesman telling me I didn’t need a receiver even though that’s what I was looking for buy. Was told to sit down and someone would help. No one did and I waited 20 minutes and I left. Got much better help somewhere else and spent money there. Very disappointing experience. Two stars for good selection though. The “no photos” policy is also quite archaic.

John spent a great deal of time helping us choose the correct televisions for our needs. The labor estimate was right on target. Televisions were delivered and installed within a couple of days. As a matter of fact, we got a telephone call the day before the original scheduled date to find out if we were available for installation later that afternoon. Good selection of TVs and prices. 4 Demo rooms for different levels of speakers and sound systems. I would say this is the kind of store run by Home Theater fans. Very much a minimalist environment, yet the tvs are calibrated, the ambient light is set for optimal viewing and the staff is extremely knowledgeable.Definitely worth a shot if you want to get beyond the generic deals available online and find a solution that is priced competitively.

They dont have a big selection of speakers and Im not convinced by their product knowledge. It doesnt seem to be true audiophiles running things. They are one of the few places that sell Revel, which is awesome. Never seen Revel paired with Yamaha before. Thats weird.Also, the TVs are marked higher than their competitors and I saw some false original prices. Not to mention when I went in they asked me how much I was looking to spend even though I told them explicitly which model of speaker I was there to audition. show me X.... how much are you looking to spend? Seriously?

I bought a pair of Rp8000fs today from there very laid back they dont pressure you to buy something you dont want!! We just looked around asked a few questions and bought our new klipsch speakers!!! And gave me a better deal than other stores!!!

Went in asked a question about trying to hook up a projector wireless and was flat at told we dont do that and then was just ignored and felt like I was in convincing them. Will never go here again rather deal with a big box retailer if thats the kind if service they are giving

Went to A & B TV because they were listed as one of only a few places I could purchase a particular turntable I was looking for. They seemed almost annoyed by my presence. I ordered the turntable anyway and was told it would be about a week before it arrived. I ended up calling them twice to remind them when it didnt show up as scheduled. When it finally arrived I went and picked it up. They seemed bothered when I asked them to provide some cable extensions to hook it to my amplifier. They made some, I paid for my order and was quickly escorted out of the building. I called and asked about warranty, they said they would call the dealer and get back to me...havent heard a word since!!I guess they are above my pay grade!

Friendly staff who didnt hesitate to help. I had all my questions answered about my surround sound and the staff was very knowledgeable

I dont recommend A&B TV. Mainly do not buy projectors & screens with them. they are very very expensive, Better you buy products in Amazon and look for a person who can install. They very irresponsible once they sell the items.

Absolutely worst customer service in Austin! I went to this store to get a quote on a home theater project. The salesman was rude from the start, but things just got worse as we continued talking. The final straw was when he asked what type of buyer I am. He was very accusatory that I was there to audition the items in the store only to buy them online. I had not given any reason for him to think that I was there to waste his time or buy online, he was simply being rude and unprofessional. In fact, if he would have spent more time thinking and less time being aggressive he would have noted that the items I want to buy are not sold online, in fact the items are so new that you cant even buy them used. On top of that I was asking for installation of the items and wiring of my home, which are services that you cant just buy off of ebay. Its important to note that even if I was there to audition items, I simply could have lied to him and told him that I would buy from them and he wouldnt know the difference if I decided to go buy from amazon or something afterward. Its a pointless question to ask. It was very frustrating, so I left the store. I would not trust a company like this to do ANY work at my house and I would not purchase anything from them. I was planning to spend tens of thousands of dollars with them, but now I will take my hard-earned dollars to some other Austin AV store.Again, worst customer service Ive ever had in Austin.

These are the go to guys for quality A/V equipment. I bought a Sony projector from Andew and they were able to answer all my questions and make experienced, prossional recommendations. If your going to spend considerable money on higher end A/V equipment you want to make the right choices. These are the guys to see, not some pimple faced kid at best buy. Plus they are local, sadly a dying breed in Austin.

Really nice high-end equipment for the audiophile in you. Prices are pretty steep but you get what you pay for and a custom done job is never done cheap. The reason for the three star rating is because of the in-house selection of demos to view, or rather, the lack thereof. If you want Sony or Samsung TVs youre good to go. Same rule applies for the home theater selection which consisted of JL Audio and Klipse for the most part. On the plus side, the staff is knowledgeable and there are several rooms where you can hear and see the experience that you possibly might buy.

Great deals and service. I knew what tv I wanted (55” LG OLED C7 model-which is super badass!) going in and Harlan(sp?) made everything quick and easy. I would have spent hundreds more at Best Buy. too. Going back for a sound bar soon!

I have searched high and low for the best price on a Sony 70 XBR and A & B TV exceeded my expectations. They have the best prices and the best customer service.

Obviously they dont need me as a customer . Place is empty and 3 guys eating lunch . I walk in and they say can I help you ? I say yes Im looking for speakers and as I was telling him what I wanted he went back to finish his lunch . No demo no questions and all the demo rooms are locked .How do they stay in business ?

Highly recommended.I was in the market for a new TV, and stereo system, and stopped in here on a recommendation from a friend who bought her Pioneer Elite Plasma there years ago. I had a rough budget and timeframe when I went in, and they took the time to listen to that, and let me listen to myriad setups. Harlon was patient, and let me listen to my choice of music so I could get a feel for the sound.I had a fair idea of where to go with config at that point and left to continue my research elsewhere (online, and places like Magnolia within Best Buy). While they have some good options at BB, the staff was nowhere near as knowledgeable (not surprising).Once I had my budget sorted I went back to A&B, I think they were a little surprised in all honesty lol, but had more of an idea of what components to narrow down to. Again they were happy to have me listen to a variety of setups, and I ultimately decided on something I wasnt entirely expecting, but made the most sense, and sounded fantastic.I ended up buying a big Sony TV (but a cheaper one than I was thinking - they wont push you to buy something more expensive that you dont need), Bowers & Wilkins speakers and stands, a JL Audio sub, and a Yamaha Receiver. To say Im happy with the result is an understatement, and the help, and final price, that I received from A&B was unbeatable.I consider myself an informed and educated consumer, and you wont do much better than these guys.

Very good experience overall. I have been buying TVs from A&B since 1998 and this is my 5th purchase. They have the best price and good service without any sales pressure. They do install and setup the TV and other equipment.

Harlan was my sales associate. He was extremely helpful and very good at explaining the differences in the TVs. I had been shopping through all the big brand stores for a few weeks and A&B ended up having the best price.

I asked the owner if he needed any help finding certified installers because of complaints that were made about installations by his crew and I guess he thinks I trying to get something out of him so he refused... And still Im getting phone calls from customers who need me to find someone to re-do an installation job that was performed by a fly by night crew who uses his store as there showroom. If someone offers you a gift, Take it. Believe them when they tell you another person is costing you money. This business is more than just sales and slapping TVs on the wall, Its also about service and reputation. Its a shame...

A & B TV came out and installed several TVs and a multi room audio system at our lake house yesterday. Everything looks and sounds awesome.

I went to A & B because they are local ... and they offered the best price on the Panasonic I wanted.Unfortunately, I had the TV less than a year when a glaring defect behind the panel was noticed. Disappointedly, A & B TV refused responsibility, instead sending me to a Panasonic servicer, who refused to service the TV until Panasonic approved the service ... while Panasonic refused to approve service until the servicer confirmed the defect was a manufacturing one - a catch 22.Eventually, through a different servicer, the manufacturing defect was confirmed, but A & B TV and Panasonic are still refusing to honor the warranty, coming up with ever-changing reasons as to why they wont, including Panasonics statement that they have no explanation.I like to support the local guys, but regretfully, this one ended up too risky, and was not worth the initial savings.

Dont bother with them. They advertise low prices but they dont have the product in stock. Two weeks in a row, I called on a monday, the day after their week long ad came out and they were already sold out. They had other tvs available though. Switch and Bait??
