I had previously written a bad review for this place. I got a phone call from this store and I talked to Delton. He was the employee I interacted with when I went in to get my phone fixed. I had felt like I wasnt being treated like a valued customer but it was a misunderstanding. Delton personally apologized and explained to me that he never meant any harm. I believe him. He did fix my phone when I had been told by 3 other stores that they could not fix it. I got an update about my phone while it was in the shop which was very courteous and Delton did reach out to me on the day that he said it should be fixed so I didnt have to wait any longer than need be. Its hard to be without a phone.Again the phone call from Mobile Phone Geeks (Delton) to clear up any misunderstanding was very much appreciated. I dont think other stores would have bothered. I plan on returning if I need my phone fixed again I recommend this place to everyone.

Walked in and out in a breeze. The staff went above and beyond in my need for my iPhone 11 repair. Will definitely be going back in the future for any other mobile device repair needs. Went on a Saturday just before closing and wasn’t too busy.

10 minutes ago5.0 star rating 8/28/2020I took iPhone 8 in with a mysterious problem -the Home button quit working. Told there was a fee for diagnostics, I agreed and left phone with them.As it turned out, there was no fix for problem although I could still use phone with easy work around.All options were clearly explained to me and when I prepared to pay diagnostic fee, I was told it wasnt necessary!He said to use the fee for future phone upgrade when I was ready.It is so rare these days to find workers who take pride in their work and are decent and kind. Also VERY informative!There will be repeat business from me!

Ive taken any and all my broken/damaged phones Ive ever had to Mobile Phone Geeks, and they do good by you. Awesome service! After stupidly leaving my phone in a hot car next to a stick of butter, it was a total mess (literally!) and no longer worked. Adnan was amazing, he cleaned out the phone and replaced the screen so it was back up and running in no time. Such a life saver! Went to the Austin location and was informed they didnt have the screen for the iPhone4 that I needed. The guy there told me the San Marcos location had the part. He was so nice, and I told him Id make my way to San Marcos. The guy in San Marcos was just as awesome as the guy in Austin! Totally funny, and had my iPhone ready in under an hour...I hope I dont need any more repairs, but if I ever do, Ill definitely go back to these guys!! The service was beyond what I expected!

Review from today 3/30/18 - Nexus 6 with a charge port that would keep popping out the charger. Brought the phone in. Talked with a guy named Tin. Very friendly and professional. He simply cleaned out the charge port on my phone, now it holds the charger in and works great! In and out in less than 10 mins. Will definitely bring any of my devices back here whenever they need service. Tin knows what hes doing, and I feel very comfortable trusting him with my devices! Highly recommend! Easy 5 stars from me!

Visited Mobile Phone Geeks 2 days ago because my phone would not recharge. I thought I was going to need an expense repair and be w/o my phone for a few hours. Stephen assisted me. He was polite and professional. He suggested that the slot to plug the recharging cable was dirty and he proceeded to clean it up for me.....at no cost. It only took 12 minutes and I was on my way. I highly recommend taking your phone here for repairs. Im super happy I did!

Willing to work on many models of phone, not just the popular ones. If they dont have a part in stock, are willing to use parts you provide. Staff was very upfront and honest about price, and services they could and couldnt provide. Satisfied with repair job.

When I dropped my Moto g6 in water and it wouldnt turn on, I took it to a little repair place by my house. They said it was good n dead. So I tossed it in my old electronics pile and a few weeks later brought it all to Mobile Phone Geeks for recycling. Tim took all my junk and said hed help me find a used phone similar to the one Id drowned. A few hours later, he calls to tell me he had a second look at my Moto and might be able to treat it for water damage. They tried it, it worked, and I had my phone back by the end of the day! While its a little farther away from my house, Ill be making the drive to go to Mobile Phone Geeks from now on!

I am very impressed by this organization. I had been to 3 other operations to fix my headphone outlet on my android. They were able to address the problem in less than 5 minutes. Professional and economical service!

I always replace my iPhones screen myself when it breaks (I get it from Amazon, replacement is easy), but for some random reason, it wouldnt turn on after the last time. Took it there, had it fixed within 2-3 hours and they charged me a very fair price. Guy was very nice too before we decided to make the repair - communication on best solution route and different options was patient and honest.

I came in with my home button not working on my iPhone. Not only did they figure out the problem and fix it within 15 minutes, he said it was no charge. Still, I tipped him for his speed and professionalism. I will be back with future issues. Thanks dudes!

These guys are awesome! I dropped my Blackberry in the bathtub and they were able to completely fix it! I had called a couple of other repair shops, but they didnt seem to know what they were talking about. I drove all the way downtown from Cedar Park to deal with these guys, and what a treat! Excellent customer service and know-how...not to mention reasonably priced! I will definitely return to them if I ever have a phone issue, and I will tell everyone I know about them as well. They are definitely the people to work with if you need your cell repaired!

GREAT service. I broke my phone when I was on my way to the airport and they met me at my hotel in Austin and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. You pay for the on-site ($75), but when youre running through meetings with clients all day it is definitely worth it.

Awesome customer service. So friendly and willing to answer all my silly questions. They fixed my cracked screen on the Lg G2 and they gave me a 30-day warranty and suggested that I get an extra screen protector at which they gave me 50% off. I picked my phone up the next (although they told me itd be ready in a few hours) and it was just perfect.

First-rate, friendly service - I had just bought my first (rebuilt) Android when lots of stuff stopped working, including Google PlayStore. Im still not sure what magic they did, but a missing file was installed and everything was great again. It took less than 15 minutes with NO CHARGE. Im so lucky to have found them right away. Its reassuring to know theyre there if I have any further problems.

Absolute nightmare!I came in before noon one day with a cracked phone screen. The phone was working perfectly fine, just needed to get the screen fixed. They said it wouldnt be ready til about 3. I was okay with that; I came in at 6. Still not ready. The guy must have rushed, because yes the screen was fixed, but he damaged my phone internally. I had no issues with my phone calls before I brought my phone in to Mobile Phone Geeks. As soon as I left, I tried to make a call, but I couldnt hear anything on the other line. I didnt go right back to the store, because a) they were closing soon and b) I thought it might be an individual problem with the connection with the person Id called. That night I tried talking to more people on the phone, but couldnt hear anything on my end.. audio problems. I brought my phone to Mobile Phone Geeks the next day and explained my issue. I told them that as soon as Id left the store, I was having in-call issues. The person at the store opened my phone and noticed water damage. He claimed that they checked my phone before when they were changing the screen and it was fine.Companies need to take responsibility... My phone was damaged internally at the store! I do not recommend mobile phone geeks to anybody if you want your cellphone actually working!

I was really pleasantly surprised at how helpful, consultative and efficient everyone was here. I was given friendly suggestions on my phone situation (shattered screen, battery not holding a charge), etc, given my quote, and everything was fixed perfectly within the hour. When I left, I found that my car battery was dead (kill me) and the guys were nice enough to help me out and jump my car. A rough day quickly turned around thanks to them :)

The details of what I had and what I needed are way too complicated to report here, but the bottom line is that Eddie went through a number of steps, including my throwing a curve at him right in the middle of the process, and I ended up with exactly what I wanted (two working phones) at the cost of only a battery replacement. He walked me through all of the options, had a couple of great suggestions, and saved me a bunch of money. I am very happy with the results and the whole experience.

These guys were super helpful with a cracked screen issue I had. Service was done by the next day which was a really impressive turnaround considering it was SXSW week and Im sure they were inundated with repairs from festival goers facing issues with their devices. When it turned out the screen that was installed was faulty they provided a replacement with the same quick, friendly service. Great folks and its a good location at the western edge of downtown with a good sized lot.

AMAZING! The Apple store couldnt fix my phone, and they initially said they wouldnt cover it under warranty, either. But these guys fixed it in less than 2 minutes and didnt charge me a penny. Great service!!!

Friendly, prompt service. The problem is that my replaced iPhone glass cracked within 48 hours of being replaced. My iPhone had only been in my pocket. They wouldnt replace it or give me a refund. They explained that glass can even crack in ones pocket. I bought a screen cover from them, which has since protected my iPhone from further cracks. But, I think Ill try another shop to re-replace the glass.

Small, local companies are just awesome. Walked in with a Blackberry whose screen was loose and hanging. They fixed it in 5 minutes, added sealant to prevent it from happening again. Then they smiled and said, No Charge.

HORRIBLE!!!I had accidentally broke the screen on my new S6 Edge and after calling and getting different quotes, Mobile Geeks seemed pretty good deal. $250 for the repair, glass screen and digitizer. After 2 months my phone had started a series of green lines. I called Mobile Geeks and one guy told me they couldnt honor repairing it, because it was after 30 days warranty. Of course, I wasnt happy but the guy told me they could help me by doing it for $125. I was mad, because I really had no choice. Other places were charging me $250 to fix Mobile Geeks screw up. So I take time out of my day to go see Mobile Geeks and have my phone re-repaired and when I get there, they guys there tell me it will be $250 to repair! I tell them I spoke to a guy there and he had quoted me $125. That was the last straw, I will never go there again! I guess when you try to save, you pay in the long run. Not a good phone repair place!! Go somewhere you have better repair warranty.

BEWARE: Very, very dishonest businessI was quoted $110 to repair my phone and told the part would be in that Friday. Two weeks later still no part, was told the following Friday. These lies continued for over a month until I said enough. Then they admitted they had the part, but the original employee had misquoted the price, and now it would cost another $60. I was told to come in the next day and they would take care of me right away. Instead, when I came in, they turned me away, saying they were too busy, and try again next week. Seriously? Again, I complain, and they apologize. Now its been a month and a half, I come back in, and this time he tells me the previous employee again misquoted, and they wont do the repair for less than $250!! This was the worst experience Ive had with a local company in Austin, and I strongly suggest you try elsewhere first.

Honest good people!! Someone stole my Iphone at a show in Austin a while back and then tried to sell it to the Mobile Geeks store in San Marc. The Mobile Geeks guys saw that the phone was hooked up to my account so they took my phone back from the thief. They charged it up and answered it when my sister called. They mailed it to their store in Austin and I picked up a week after it got stolen! So nice :)

Usually love this place, but i was HIGHLY disappointed yesterday. A few months ago I cracked my screen and had them repair it, the salesman convinced me to buy a specific case to keep my phone safe. I would NOT have bought it if he didnt tell me that if I kept my phone in this case and anything happened to it I could bring it back for a free repair. I returned with a cracked screen with phone still in case and they told me it would be $65 to repair it. Again, I would not have bought this bulky case if it didnt come with a guarantee of a free repair. I have been going here for about 5 - 6 years and have always recieved great customer service but both techs in there yesterday were rude as hell. So thanks to those guys I wont go back anymore.

You take a working cell phone for granted until it doesnt work or there is something wrong with it. I rely heavily on my phone for work emails, faxes, office messages, communicating with clients, etc. My iphone decided to stop taking a charge the night before and I was running against time as my battery was almost out. I found Mobile Phone Geeks on Google and arrived first thing in the morning when they opened. I was immediately greeted by Stephen, who went right to work on my phone. He figured out the problem, got my phone fixed and could not have been any nicer. I was in and out in less than five minutes and not only have a working cell phone back, but my piece of mind. I had a great experience with Mobile Phone Geeks when I took in my broken iPhone 4s. The geek who helped me was friendly and helpful. My horribly shattered screen was fixed in no time, and the price for the service was a reasonable $50. I would definitely recommend this place, and will go back if I ever drop my phone again.

I went in on Feb 9th with a cracked I phone 6, pretty bad I might add. While they did a good job of repairing it pretty fast. 90 minutes (which is what they said it would take) that part was fine. They then put on a bulky case that I didnt want, they said I needed it. $45 later I walked out saying Id try it. Then less then 24 hours later, I took back the case, saying its too bulky for my dress slacks and I cant plug it into my car without unstrapping it all, making it useless. They said they cant take it back? So Im stuck with an I Phone case I cant use and out $45 on something they really pushed. I think its a piss pore way to conduct business and hope you think twice about going there. Go someplace else and they should honor returns from customers who tried their products and cant use them. Shame on your company and rethink your business practices..

My battery became defective after taking it in for repairs. They wanted to sell me a battery even though they said I didnt have to pay anything due to my 30 day warranty -- Waste of time and money

I went in and went to the mall for an hour and it was done. Only reason not 5 star, is that I had to take it back with one screw sticking out. I came back and they fixed it, no questions ask. Overall good experience.

HORRID! I called them several times to get directions, ask about my screen repair etc... and when I got there they dont have it and were not very sympathetic about it. they hammed me my phone back and one of the guys said sorry as the one that seemed higher authority, the one I talked to on the phone, didnt even offer a discount being I drove a long way to get to them.

The first time I entered the Geekdom, there were several folks in front of me, and I was a little miffed that they seem to take so long just to talk with each customer. But I now realize that they make sure they understand your concerns, and they spend time making sure it is right. .Well I cracked the screen on my Samsung Note 2, William - one of the great Geeks - took my case. It was not a simple crack, and I ended up having to go back several times because he first tried to do it on the cheap (at my request, replacing only the screen), before replacing the entire screen. I have been happy for about 3 months before I dropped the phone again, and making a NEW CRACK a couple of days ago. Definitely my fault. But yesterday they replaced the screen, and when I asked William how much I owed, he said, Gratis, it is covered.I will definitely use Mobile Phone Geeks on my next mobile phone issue. Its nice dealing with reasonable folks, like William.

Im not exatly sure, maybe the guys there were having a bad day, but one of them did make me feel a little self-conscious for not knowing some things about my phone, and made me sound dumb. Also the prices were a little crazy sounding to me.. most places cost around $120-$140 to get screens fixed but i was told it would be around $170. (sales tax not included.) and typically parts come into stores about 2-3 days but the guy working told me it would be about a week.. I am very displeased with the service but willing to give it another shot.

This is the best place to have your broken iPhone, iPad or iPad mini glass repaired. They usually can repair glass within a day or 24 hours depending on how many repairs they have.

Completely unprofessional. Brought a tablet in that stopped working on Tuesday and was told that theyd find out the issue and call me back by the end of day. Wednesday rolls around and I call them and Im told that we dont know where William is and he didnt leave any information about your order. Thursday rolls around and I call them, again, and Im told they didnt know what the issue with the tablet was and that I could come pick it up. When I asked what happened to contacting me and letting me know what was going on the guy had no response. When I asked if I didnt call when was I going to be notified, again, no response.This is not a professional business.

Son broke the front face of iPhone 4, fixed in one day, still working like new. I just took in a 2nd iPhone 4 with broken back, took 10 minutes to replace. I also dropped off two more with water damage, well see if they can fix those. Very respectable, honest guys, not free not cheap, but a whole lot cheaper than $440 replacement cost.Will continue to use these guys for iPhone repair.(Austin N Lamar store)

Excellent, courteous, speedy service to repair the badly cracked screen on my 3rd gen iPod. They checked out the innards for free and gave my trusty old iPod a clean bill of health. All-around great service and very user friendly for us non techies.The guy ahead of me was so appreciative he tried to give Tin a $20 tip for his great service. Tin literally forced it back into his hand, thanked him and said no tip was needed, but they would be grateful for a good review. Now thats class! (And good business!)I will definitely use their services again and will recommend them to friends and family.

I went to several different places to resolve how to restore my data - it was the last few minutes before close on a saturday and they offered to backup my data manually and restore it to the insurance replacement phone when it came in . They new exactly what was wrong when my phone service provider and 2 other repair services over the span of a week couldnt resolve it. Highly recommended.

Fast and quick service. They were able to fix my roommates Samsung S4, that had a broken screen due to her saving an inconsiderate party guests life when he got so high on pot he decided to pass out with a trajectory of the kitchen counter. She caught him but the phone got caught in the crossfire and he now claims it was her fault she decided to catch him with her phone in her hand. Anyways...they were able to fix it by the next day for $140 and it works with no issues now. Their parking lot is small and difficult to get in and out of due to the location. Tip: parking lot is BEHIND the store and entrance is just south of it. Do not park in the kitchen place next door or you will be towed.

This place is a LIFE saver! I went there to fix my LCD screen after dropping my iphone5c, they happened to be out but gave me someone elses cracked screen to use it temporarily until the part came in. As soon as the part came in they fixed it really quickly and at an affordable price compared to the price you get with insurance or a replacement phone. The second time I went there after dropping it again they were just as friendly and were able to fix it within hours, however I was bummed when it only worked for a day. I took it back and was worried about warranty of the repair and to my pleasant surprise it was on the house. These guys provide, fast, rapid and reasonably priced services and they are able to fix most problems could not recommend them more! Will be sending my friends/family there way!

I am a lg v20 user. I came in with a broken screen and they said they could do the repair. Well after going in to there shop 4 times to get my screen re glued and discovering multiple defects with the screen. They decided to tell me my screen was out of warrenty and that they shouldve ordered a different screen and the only way to fix it was to buy the proper screen to fix the phone.( another 150 on top of the 150 i already paid to get it fixed the first time) Thanks jack wagons for the horrible service and experience.

These guys made a good job fixing mi iPhone, there are only a few things like the power button and the volume that still dont work, but everything else its working fine

Quoted $75 repair for broken Samsung S3 glass. I shouldve known better being that the quote is significantly less than other stores. Sure enough, as Im being checked in, they make me aware that in the event that the worker breaks the LCD screen while attempting to fix the glass, I would be charged $125. Shouldve taken the phone and ran to a business who charged the typical 100+ who would actually do the proper work. Needless to say, they broke the LCD screen. To beat that, the vendor who sells them LCD screens was out of the white screen, so I had to decide on which mismatch color would match the best, over the phone, while never even seeing these color choices. I was also told Id have the phone back by 5:30 being that I dropped it off at 2pm. Now, I may not get it until tomorrow. Gives you the feeling that you went to your friend who works on phones in their garage.

I had a tiny piece on my phone I lost and could not find it anywhere. I brought it in and the found me a new part in five minutes and gave it to me for free.
