What can I say, Howdy Honda and Brad Plauche are the best of the best. I met Brad in 2013 when we needed a Pilot to fit our growing family and he took care of us every step of the way. He listened to what we needed and wanted and helped us make the best choice for our family. We had such a great experience with Brad back then that we came back to him 3 more times (and counting)!Our latest addition is 2022 Pilot to replace our 2013 Pilot. Is anything wrong with the 2013 Pilot? Nope - its as solid as the day we drove off the lot with it.It was just time for an upgrade and Brad was there, again, to listen to what we needed and wanted and was able to help us along the way to our newest Pilot.If youre looking for a new vehicle and need someone to work with, I recommend you reach out to Brad. Howdy, Haley.~**Stellar service.** I was completely taken aback (in a good way) today. Reason: Haley.Historically, I have generally avoided going to dealerships, as a woman who doesnt wish to be taken for a ride (pun intended), but my vehicle was in desperate need of authentic maintenance. I pulled up to the dealership for an appointment, almost 1,000 miles overdue for an oil change, and my AC sounding as if I had a racing intake.Haley checked me in and asked if I had any other concerns. Upon sharing them, she asked if she could look around to help identify the AC issue. Fast forward a few moment later and she is holding a filthy, upside down, air filter (supposedly changed by the last random shop), followed by a handful of nuts some brazen squirrel had stored away under my hood!!?! Can you please try your AC again? she asked...I did and it purred like a house cat.There is something about having an ally in moments like these. Today, Haley reminded me that there are still honest, sincere folks, no strings attached, who just want to serve and help.The visit itself to Howdy Honda was very pleasant, all employees we encountered were very friendly...but Haley took the proverbial cake and deserves recognition for her outstanding service and knowledge.THANK YOU, Howdy Honda and Haley!!

Big appreciation to the Howdy service department! We live in Alabama and recently drove to the Austin area to for a weekend visit with our son. The AC in our Accord died mid point of our 13 hr drive in 96° Texas heat. Our son called all the Honda dealerships in the area and Howdy was the only one willing to try to work us in on a Friday. We got the call it was a refrigerant issue (not the compressor as we feared) and only charged us the minimum diagnostic fee. Thankful for their honesty in a situation where it would be easy to take advantage of out of towners. Would recommend this dealership without hesitation!

We recently took our Honda Odyssey in for a tuneup, new battery, timing belt, oil change and 1 million other things. Adrian made this process so easy and helped me keep the repairs within my budget. I normally don’t go to the dealer for repairs, but Howdy guarantees their work and has very reasonable prices. I trust them and I will never go anywhere else. I was about to purchase a base line Toyota Corolla that was within my budget and was the car that would arrive the soonest in this crazy time of computer chip manufacturing issues. I wasnt that excited about it, but I had totaled my previous car and was without a ride. Toyota had to keep pushing back the arrival date through no fault of their own.Brad and I had a good conversation about a week prior and thought of me when a customer had COVID and was unable to pick up the Red Honda Civic Sport he had coming in. Brad and the customer worked out that he was okay getting the next one coming in a few weeks.He called me, met my budget, and did everything possible to get me in this car.Super thankful to be putting payments towards a car that I love thanks to Brads customer service. I bought my Honda Odyssey couple of days back, whole process was smooth I appreciate Edward sales rep, with constant updates and keep me updated on the status of the car. It was quite delayed and had to choose another color which is available after waiting for 2 months. that is the only downside but I understand it is a global situation on auto manufacturing. One other thing is Trade in value provided was very low and I had sell my car else where. Which is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.

This is my fourth Honda and my third with the same sales rep, Brad Plauche. He is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and proceeds at my pace - which is tempered and deliberate. I have considerable experience with the service department over the years. They are competent, courteous, and quick. The location is excellent and easy to access. Their TV ads are dignified and calm. I would never buy from a dealer who shrieks at me on TV. I will keep returning to Howdy Honda.

We were referred to Brad by a friend- needed to get a new, reliable vehicle for my son to take to college- also wanted to get small amount financed so that my son could learn about ownership/purchasing/financing - and establishing credit. Brad was amazing and so helpful. Although his inventory was low, he found the perfect car for my son- went out of his way to include my son in the process and communications. When we walked into the dealership- he treated my 19 year old son with great respect and helped him get excited and educated about his new car. In addition to being an all-around pleasant guy, Nik was incredibly helpful and never once tried to push me towards something I didn’t want or need. Had my AC repaired twice in six months here under warranty. Documented a small noise that started directly after that repair and another six months later the car experienced performance issues on a cold start. The $130 Diagnostic didnt yield any results so they charged me $500 for further diagnostic, after which they found a missing bolt on the intercooler. I shared the video, and provided a reference to another service center that had accidentally removed a bolt on the intercooler when repairing the AC that caused similar issues. I was given half-off, $255, told that it wasnt their fault, and that my cars bolt had fallen off itself. When I opened the hood of my car I found half of the clips holding on some trim on my bumper missing.I was upset at the lack of attention to detail on the workmanship, and that I was charged for something I believe was their fault as a direct result of a warranty-covered repair.My car is still under warranty and Honda has refused to cover the bolt that fell off under their comprehensive warranty. I reached out to both the service manager and the GM and was told it sounds like Ive received good service and that Im the victim of an aging vehicle. My car is 5 years old and I believe any bolts that are falling off already should be covered by my warranty.

I have been working with various folks at Howdy Honda since 1997. Ive purchased 3 vehicles and get all recommended/routine services from them. I cant speak highly enough about their sales folks, the service team, and even their finance guy. By no means the only great people, but those Ive worked with most recently include Edward Kwak (sales - made the whole process simple), Neil (finance - he made the process relatively painless, LOL), Jesse and Zeke (service - they never make fun of the noises I make when trying to tell them why I bring a vehicle in), and the folks who answer the phones and run the cashier station are always helpful and polite. Im happy to recommend Howdy Honda to anyone who owns or wants to own a Honda.

This is the best Honda dealership I’ve been to for service. That says a lot since I’ve driven Honda’s my whole life and lived all over the country.The employees go out of their way to make sure you get the best experience and actually do work behind the scenes to get you the best deal and coverage. Oscar was exceptional and personally made calls to ensure that my warranty covered a repair that I needed.He really went above and beyond my expectations.They are organized, efficient and their waiting area even has a “quiet room” for those who need to work on their laptops.Make an appointment and you will be pleasantly surprised. I’m putting 5 stars only because I can’t put a 10/10. I came from out of town spur of the moment and Thomas was my sales associate he was efficient, effective, and determined to get me into a car that I wanted, not only was he patient and thorough with explaining every detail about my car but also took the time to show me what does what. Neil who I signed my papers with was also wonderful he was able to do some excellent number crunching and was thorough in doing all he could to help me get the best deal. Together they had excellent customer service and I was able to drive home, same day in a brand new car!!

I had a great experience with Brad from start to finish. I walked in knowing what I wanted, and he didnt pressure me into anything else, even though they didnt have that model on the lot at the time and couldnt guarantee one any time soon. When we started a test drive of the closest thing, I asked if we could go all the way to my house to make sure the HR-V would fit in my narrow garage, and he was totally game. (It did fit!) He answered all my questions and was really friendly the whole time. I was lucky enough that someone had just backed out of reserving the model and color I wanted, which was on the way soon. It took a week, which wasnt bad at all, and he stayed in touch to keep me updated in the meantime. I definitely recommend him!

This experience at Howdy Honda was not a good one. The guy that I spoke with name is Sam tricked me into believing I would be test-driving Type R Civic. Once I got to the location I was not able to test drive the car would not be ready for another month. I also got promised that I would be test driving Honda Civic SI but still have not been able to, The Experience so far has not been good because of broken promises.

Scheduled an oil change appointment for 8 AM on a Saturday morning a week in advance. Upon arrival that morning, the salesperson insisted I add a $175 brake fluid update, even though I told her I’d gotten one a year prior. All I wanted was the oil change. That’s it.What I thought would take at least an hour, turned into 2.5 hours waiting in their lobby. I had an appointment at 11 across town that I needed to get to, and had to hassle them multiple times to give me my car back so I wouldn’t be late. If I didn’t persist on leaving, they would have kept me there for three hours waiting on a basic oil change. And to top it all off, they still tried to get me to update my brake fluid, which again, I didn’t need.Don’t come if you want to spend an inordinate amount of your morning waiting for your car, or hassled to add on services you don’t need. Ridiculous.

First of all, this is the first review Ive ever posted on a business. Im not a complainer, am very patient and trusting individual. I am posting to share my experience so hopefully Howdy Honda management will see, learn and share in my dissatisfaction.I recently purchased a used vehicle from Honda. It began as a good experience, but once I arrived, quickly turned down hill. Im only going to mention the main items here: I did not feel valued as a customer. I was promised a paint kit in the mail...still waiting. Ive called and texted my salesperson multiple times only to be ghosted. When I call the main line I stay on hold an immense amount of time, then to be transferred, cut off or hung up on. I bought the car late at night and didnt realize until the next morning I didnt receive an extra key. After 2 weeks I was told yesterday they could get me one, but Id have to pay, although I spent $48k on the car, they didnt care to help or empathize. Also, I did not receive any type of documentation, was told to get it online, not their problem. Overall I wish I had never bought from Howdy. I experienced zero customer satisfaction. I hope they improve. $48,000 is a lot of money to spend feeling this way. There is more, but Ill stop here. Ive already spread the word to friends in Austin, not to shop there no matter how good the deal is. Next purchase I make will be online. Thank you.

Mr. Brad and Mrs. Ann are the greatest! Mr. Brad listened to my husband and me on the type of vehicle I wanted. Never talked down or past me. He answered all the questions I had and never left me not knowing the next step. Mrs. Ann did the finance part. She explained everything and explained again till we understood and never pressured me to buy anything. We told her how much we wanted to pay each month and helped us get the best package. Used to LOVE this place. Ive actually encouraged two other people to buy cars here. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else for service. But this past week Ive been trying to call the service desk to set up an appointment to get my car taken care of. Its been sitting in the garage for a year and a half and needs some TLC before being driven again. I need to be able to get on the road, and cant do anything till its serviced (I already had to replace the battery to even think about getting the car in for service).So I call... and call... and call.... so far Ive spent over 25 minutes listening to the phone ring in the service department with no one picking it up. Ive tried to call over different days this past week with the same result. Starting to think its time to look for a new Honda service center.

Well, i really need to buy a car that was good not to upgrade for the next 7 years, a reliable car, good mechanics and good workmanship so i decided to go with a lexus rx350l, as everyone knows a car of excellent quality and reliability and luckily I could be attended by an incredible person who speaks 3 languages and by incredible that it seems my mother tongue is Portuguese, besides speaking Spanish and English. her name is Jo, extremely helpful, professional and she did the whole process for me in less than 1 hour, and left with the car ready, washed and changed oil, bumper to bumper warranty of 5 years and 100 thousand miles., because it can serve not only the Americans, but also the entire Hispanic, Brazilian and Portuguese community. rare things to find nowadays, speed, cordiality, transparency and competence, thank you Jo for being able to help me in this achievement. i higly recommend Howdy Honda

We scheduled a routine oil change at 3:30, mean while a low tire pressure censor came on and I asked for it to be addressed. We heard from the service department after an hour and reported that the tire needed to be replaced. I expressed to use my warranty and have tire replaced and declined the sale of 3 other tires. I was once again talked to about the the tire 2 hours later and was told they forgot about the oil change .I understand about mistakes being made, but they should of owned up to and did the oil change as well even I had to wait another 30 minutes.I love my car, but will never use Howdy Honda again.The worst dealership I have ever experienced.

My recent purchase of a used Lexus has been the worst car buying and costly experience Ive ever had.Issues:1) went to buy the car and was told 1.5 hours later they couldnt verify my loan with my credit union and they sent me home.2) Went back the next day and was told I never should have been sent home, apologized for the inconvenience and rushed me through siging the paperwork.3) They never presented me with the Bill of Sale reflecting the cost of the car and the added cost they put on (we agreed on the on-line price)4) Got the paper work and saw no disclosure on cost of car and loan amount for 2.1k more than it should have been.5) IMPORTANT NOTE: Howdy Honda adds $450 + $1395 to EVERY car sold!!! In my case they tacked on another $200 so it was $450 + $1595. When I asked why the extra $200 I was told because it was a luxury car premium6) Test drove care on July 30, saw on August 25 that it came down $3,500 in price. I asked what was wrong with it, they said nothing, the longer the car is here the lower the price. The second time the driver side mirror cap was off, they said it had a crack and they ordered a new one.hmmnmm)7) Worked with finance person to split the extra cost and he still kept pointing me to the loan amount, not the car amount for the difference (uh, hello, tax and interest charges come down when car price comes down. Basically still trying to pull one over on me8) First time I washed my car I noticed a crack in the chrome up front, then the front light didnt mesh with the bumper, and now I see the side panel of the bumper is not connected. SO....THIS CAR WAS IN SOME KIND OF ACCIDENT IN THEIR POSITION BETWEEN WHEN I FIRST LOOKED AT IT AND WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE, THEY COVERED IT UP!!!Still waiting on mirror cover and extra key they promised me. I went to their key guy when they told me to, but he didnt know I was coming and didnt have the right key. I have been so inconvenienced and the car had damage that was not only not disclosed but also Covered up! Some of this is on me, I looked the car over the first time I saw it but should have looked much closer at the body when I went to buy it.I would stay away from purchasing any used care at Howdy Honda!!!! If you do buy, just know about the extra $450 and $1395 they put on every car. When I called the Manager and said they didnt disclose this he said I show you saw this care on Auto trader, it was listed on there. Yes it was, a the bottom in small print.

I had the most pleasant experience today at Howdy Honda. My plan was to go into the dealership and purchase my 2018 CRV as the lease was about to expire. I really enjoyed my CRV and was happy to purchase it, however Brad Plauche took the time to show me options and I didnt need convincing to decide that the 2021 Lease and upgrade was the way to go! Brad took the time to demonatrate all the upgrade features and made me feel comfortable and never pushy. Brad was also patient with me as I was also trying to “get some work done” on my laptop in between forms being completed. I would definitely recommend Brad and have already done so!

Don’t try to call after 6pm, even though they’re open until 8pm. No one answered my 5 phone calls and an effective voicemail is not set up to leave a message.I tried the online chat to make an appointment, but heard nothing from the service department the next day. I called around lunchtime on the third day and someone picked right up.

Brought my car in for state inspection. Waited 90+ minutes past my appointment time for my inspection. Was told that I needed to spend over $1000 to completely replace my power steering hose and pump before my car could pass inspection. Took my car to two other mechanics and neither found anything wrong with my power steering. Baffling.

Our family moved from Hawaii to Texas. We sold both vehicles and knew we wanted to lease another van as soon as we arrived. Howdy Honda employee Edward K. made this a very easy process. From across the ocean, he gathered the paperwork, sent video of the van, and had it ready as soon as we landed. We even arrived at the dealership with 10 pieces of luggage which he and another employee loaded into our freshly detailed Honda Odyssey. We were in and out in 20 minutes.No other Honda dealership would allow us to lease until we arrived. They all said it wasnt possible to hold on their lot for 3 weeks or do paperwork via overnight mail. HOWDY HONDA made this happen and as long as we live in Texas, and we live in Houston now, we will be doing our deals with Edward at Howdy Honda.

I really want to like Howdy Honda, but every single time I leave I question why I came back...the reason for my return is sadly just their convenient location. Howdy Honda was recommended to me several years ago by a friend who raved about their car buying experience. It must have just been the sales associate he was working with at the time. Shes left in the few month window when he purchased his car and I started looking..----The associate that helped make my appointment for this morning, was incredible. I cant remember her name, but I think it started with a K... Such a positive attitude, really helpful, super kind and courteous.Anthony my service manager today was a solid guy. Efficient, and courteous.----It is interesting that the pricing in the online service scheduling tool is different than reality. For example, the online tool has an oil change at $52, but Anthony quoted my $69 and then I was charged $63.Also, they require you inform them if you plan on using any service specials / coupons when the estimates are written up, but then dont apply anything until after you remind them a second time right before you pay.----I get my car serviced here whenever it needs routine maintenance, and every single time they come back with your car is in great condition, but out technicians recommend these two or three other services that cost nearly $200 each. Makes me question if I should trust them or not.----This time while waiting for my car, I found one of the few outlets in the waiting area. It barely worked, but did the job enough that I could charge my laptop. After I had been working for nearly two hours a technician told me I had to move so they could bring a car into the showroom and my table was in the way and needed moved immediately. Inconvenient, but fine. Ill move.After this conversation ended, someone in a dark blue polo made the comment to another associate that he didnt know why that had to be done right now because I was clearly working (actually on a conference call to be specific) and the service department was backed up blocking the door he needed to get through anyway. After I moved everything and got stuck at a table without power, they didnt end up touching the table I was originally at...----Its also worth noting that their express service team member tell customers to give them a 10 on CSAT surveys. If theyre looking for legitimate unbiased feedback you might consider having that not this be your best practice.----On a side note, had an awful experience when looking at used cars a few years back, and ultimately went with a different dealership further away. I wish the other dealership were closer for my service needs.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Howdy Honda. Before purchasing with Howdy, I hadnt owned a car for three years, so it was hard for me to get around to car shop, and I was nervous about driving after being hit by a driver whose car herniated a disc in my spine. Not only did Brad drive a Fit out to me to test drive, he was completely respectful and empathetic of all of my concerns, from my safety concerns to my financial situation. He also came to get me to go pick up my car after I had decided to buy with Howdy. Brad didnt give me any guff when I chose to go with Capital One financing, and Patrick in the financing department was incredible about walking me through the paperwork. I told them what worked for me, and they made it happen. I was at the dealership about an hour. In the past, buying a car has always taken at least 2-3 hours. As a single woman going to buy a car, I have had some pretty awful experiences with salesmen, and I could not have asked for a better level of service than what I received from Brad, Patrick, and Armando at Howdy. I love my new Honda Fit, as do my pups! Thank you so much for helping me buy a great car at a reasonable price with five class service! I will definitely be using Howdy for all of my maintenance and future car purchases.

Their best salesman was a definition straight from a textbook. Super likeable, good at what he did, convincing... unless youve watched a movie before. Pulled out every trick in the book. This is the best price I need to make my manager happy This is the last car we will ever get Lease is your best deal. Too many salesman tactics. I sent one email to a competing Honda dealership in the area, and they beat their price instantly without all the B.S. and had no problem removing all of their addon packages. It took 4 hours from my email to the other competing salesman, to when I got home with my brand new car. 4 hours. At the end of it all, Howdy was willing to beat their price. What a joke. Nice place, friendly staff, but beware their sales tactics and definitely consult the other Honda dealers in the area before you pull the trigger.

They say you get here by your eta and we will stay open late to get you taken care of.Time being tight for my event that brought me into town from Dallas. I went in for routine maintenance this morning and I was met with a 12 car line. The employees were efficient when it came to getting them processed. Everyone had on face coverings and kept a respectable distance. I knew it would be at least and hour wait but thats typical. OAN, I feel the guy who worked the retail parts department that morning, needs a kudos. Some of the people who came up to him were lacking in the decency and common courtesy. Other than that, my experience was exceptional and Ill always come back as long as the great customer service provided continues.

Im a veteran car buyer/leaser. I know dealers need to make money and that they want to maximize profit. I know when I have made a good deal and I know when they are trying to rob me blind. After spending 6 hours at the dealership, I finally negotiated an acceptable deal. The only reasons I didnt walk away from this dealership is that there are record low levels of inventory to choose from, and my salesman (Nik P.) was awesome. The sales manager is not.My trade in was superb: a low mileage Acura RDX that the dealer could sell for $40k. A fair trade-in price was $34-$36k. They initially offered me $28k, plus the new lease they offered me was EXTREMELY overpriced. I have a credit score above 800, and should get an excellent lease deal. After LOTS of haggling, they gave me $34k on my Acura (which is selling for $40k on their site, as I predicted). The lease was finally offered at a fair price.Annoyingly, they installed $1,000 worth of dealer extras on my vehicle against my wishes. The vehicle was fresh off the truck with only 3 miles on the odometer. I was told no extras were installed yet. They said dealership policy required them to install LoJack ($500) and Permaplate ($500) even though I know these are pure dealer profit. I made them discount it by $750. Overall, my total costs (trade plus new lease) dropped by over $8000 in the 6 hours I was there, simply because I knew what I should be paying. In the end, the dealer made a nice profit and I got a deal I could live with. But they made me really work for it.If you are willing to do some extreme haggling, then Howdy Honda may work for you (ask for Nik Popov). If you are not comfortable haggling and are not very knowledgeable of what you should pay, then they will rob you blind.

Just picked up our new CR-V at Howdy. Brad Plauche’ was our salesman. Came thru on everything he committed to. Good finance rate, price and the overall experience could not have been better. Signing all the paperwork was even made pleasant. This is a trying time to try to purchase a new car with low inventory, we had to wait on our car, Brad kept us up to date and actually got our car several days prior to promised date! I have a mixed review for Howdy Honda. I would have easily given 5 stars because Dean from used car sales was so great. He was very kind, listened to what I wanted and really helped me to find what I was looking for. BUT THEN I had to speak with one of the sales managers, Marshall, who was so completely rude to me. He showed no people skills at all. I was looking to buy a used VW Golf but it was slightly over budget he then said how about you look at something in your price range like a Toyota Sienna, a van. I’m a woman in my early 20s clearly he doesn’t even know what I want and is just trying to sell any car. He then said well you have to chose to pay more or less and get what you pay for. Then just sat there looking at me. Thanks for your help Marshall ...
