Awesome experience. Awesome! Luke is the owner and salesman. He was great. Very accomodating and had good communication. Before i was ready to purchase I had the vehicle inspected. It was in good shape, but Luke worked with me fixing what needed to be fixed. Greg is the technician. I didnt watch him work, but he got everything done in a timely manner and even fixed some things the initial inspection hadnt caught. I would definitely recommend Truman motora to anyone looking for a quality used vehicle.

Make sure you want a project…THE SHORT STORY: We went to check out one truck, it had issues, and we decided against it. We noticed another truck, liked it and still do, but it is a project truck. If you want a deal, but something that might need some work, this is the place for you. If not, maybe look somewhere else.THE FULL STORY: Two weeks ago, we came up from San Antonio to take look at a 2008 Tundra for $14.5k. We arrived a little before our scheduled appointment and began looking at the truck. There were dents and dings, but it is a truck, that is what it is for. We discovered it had been unlocked, so we looked at the interior and engine bay. The only thing that popped out was that the coolant was low. When taking a test drive, the engine started nicely, but we discovered that the wheel had a strong shake at anything above 40mph. When shifting to 4WD, it was rough and sounded like there might be some grinding. It also appeared that the antenna was missing and that the stereo was only functional when the auxiliary was plugged in. We decided to pass on this truck, but saw a 2004 Tundra to try, since we were there.The second Tundra was high mileage (238k, but I really don’t mind that, because it is a Toyota), but a good price at $6.5k. It accelerated and shifted well, and its 4WD High & Low seemed to work well. There was a minor shimmy in the wheel at higher speeds, but it seemed to be something I could address. Under the hood looked good. Fluids were full and even though it had not been cleaned it showed no signs of serious leaks or problems. There were plenty of dents, dings, scratches, and some rust… but like I said, it is a truck. The wipers needed to be replaced and the wiper fluid reservoir would not hold fluid (this turned out to simply be a disconnected supply line). Luke said that he would send me a replacement reservoir, which I still have not received, but that is moot because I was able to repair it. The windshield had a minor crack in it, which was not a big concern. The truck came with one key and no fob, so I will have to invest in that. The battery was newer. I was looking for a bit of a project, and we decided to purchase it.After getting it home, I began performing normal maintenance, because no records came with it. Overall I am pleased. The devil is in the details. Here are a few things I discovered:There is no car jack or tool to lower the spare tire!One of the headlights was out. Easy fix.Part of the dash does not light up.The interior had been vacuumed, but my wet vac pulled out a lot of grime.The interior had been wiped down, but there were still leaves in it. Odd.The fuel filter was very dirty, and I replaced it.The oil and coolant were in good condition.The ball hitch is locked on with a pin that I do not have a key for, so I will have to cut the pin off.The air blower randomly turned off. After pulling it out, I discovered that the power cables were corroded, the harness had melted to the blower housing, and there was debris in the blower. This was another basic fix, and it is now working fine.The AC system was charged, but still doesn’t blow very cold. I will still have to address this.The spark plugs show normal wear and no significant issues.In the end, I am enjoying the truck, and it was a reasonable price, but if you want a vehicle that isn’t going to need any work, I would probably shop somewhere else.

I drove over an hour away to buy a car from this “dealership” specifically. I was told the car had been in an accident but “nothing serious.” I get a phone call half way back home to contact the bank. I call the bank back and this individual had sold me a vehicle with a red car fax and the bank (Navy Fed) would not finance it because of it. I was livid. I told the owner he can pick up his car at my house and give me my check back. He told me he would try to rectify the situation and let me know if the car fax could be changed. Never heard back from him and saw that he reposted the car at a higher price than before. Very sketchy dealership and buy with caution. I’ve bought a lot of cars in my time and I 100% do not recommend them. The owner should know what he has on his lot.

I recently purchased an Audi A3 from Truman motors. I live in Colorado so I had the car inspected by third-party and they said there were issues with ABS light, traction control, and O2 sensor. The salesman ashurd me they were recall issues which I asked to have them fixed before I purchased a vehicle. They said they would take care of the transmission leak but I could take it to a certified Audi dealer to have the recalls updated. Well it turns out when I had the recalls updated they did not fix the ABS brakes.The ABS hydraulic pump system is faulty so I do not have ABS brakes. It cost $2700 to fix and I’ve tried to contact the dealer through a couple emails and phone calls but have been in successful in getting a response. I feel they didn’t get the recalls done because they knew the ABS hydraulic pump system was bad. They sold me the car under false pretenses. I would be very careful about dealing with them.If they would get back to me and agree to help with the repair costs I would not be leaving a one star review. Not to mention the door locks do not work and that was not information that was forthcoming by the dealership. Now I have to replace both front door wire harnesses to fix the issue and it is costing an additional $1700. Otherwise I won’t be able to lock my doors in public. Beware!!!

Ive bought many cars over the years, big dealerships small dealerships, I always hate buying cars because of the salesmen pressure that doesnt happen here. Luke is on of the most laid back people with great vehicles I would like to put this out there though for the negative comments they are used vehicles stuff happens, Luke is very honest straight forward and if something does go wrong he offers a solution to fix it. Very fast very responsive. I guarantee I will go no where else to buy a vehicle anymore than to like with Truman motors.

They received the check and completed paper work on 6/26/17 and I am getting the title today 7/10/17 meaning they waited 2 weeks before finishing there end of the deal. I probably should of forced the issue. Overall pretty good though. If I would of had title and car same day so I didnt waste time it would be a 5.

I had a excellent experience at truman motors. Given that the price was right and I was not pressured at all. I went to another dealership before Trumans and it was a different experience. A lot of high pressure. Scott at Trumans was very friendly and helpful. The best part is I found the Toyota 4Runner I wanted.

We bought a car here and had it about 1 month, before the CAR BROKE!!.. We looked into the history of the car and it said that it was not safe to drive the car because of the many issues it has and it could cause an accident.. After having the car (Subaru) the axle, arms and more broke off (the bottom of the car basically fell out).. This car was soo dangerous, it ran me and my children off the road, onto oncoming traffic... On a road where 18weelers drive (D.G. Collins). (Son 5, daughter 15).. ( Thank God we did not get hurt or killed).. We have discussed what to do and he keeps changing his word.. Everytime we speak to him he changes the prices on fixing or trading in the car...( but he has no problem offering us half of what we paid) ( we added a touch screen stereo and tinted the windows) Hes just trying to make as much money as possible.. We set up a meeting to talk about what to do and he was not prepared.. (Just wasted our time and another day without a family car) We were supposed to get this car for the family and to go on vacation for the summer and now everything is on hold and the kids are stuck at home..We bought this car with no payments just paid in full and now he is trying to bleed us for more money.. He seems like a nice guy but Watch Out!!!! THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP LONGER THAN WE HAVE DRIVEN IT... Even though he has not given us a full repairs invoice, now he is threatening to tow the car off his lot.. Careful, if you choose to buy a car from this auto place.. Be Safe.. Dont just take his word, get EVERYTHING in writing....

I cant say enough good things about Truman motors they have been great starting with Luke from the beginning to the end with ANYTHING I have needed with my car. Which is a 2006 BMW 330i (6 speed manual) which is hard to find in really good shape which I bought from Luke. I am just posting this now since I have some time. I bought my 330i about 3 months ago and everything has been really smooth there is NEVER any push back from Luke if you need anything with in reason to do with your car Luke has been there for me and also the mechanic Saul has been great as well GREAT commuicatuon between them both! Every other BMW I have owned was a cash car, this was my first finance car (by choice) that I have ever had and I am 38yrs old lol. Again great people at Trumans I would recommend this dealership to anyone whether you are locally in Austin or anywhere in the country flying into Austin to pick up a car this is your spot 1st class customer service in my opinion. I will definitely buy my next BMW from Truman Motors when its time!!

Luke sold me a car, car had a couple issues, he did his best to work them out and would buy from him again.

I purchase a vehicle here about a year ago, I did not know too much about car maintenance at the time, but oh boy do i now. After having to replace the steer rack, rotors and brake pads, water pump, front struts, rear shocks, transmission fluid, front diff, rear diff, and transfer case fluids, and the last thing i found out was that they reset the CEL just before i started looking at the vehicle. It came out to be an issue with a evap system. So be cautious because if they ripped off a soldier they will most defiantly rip you off without thinking twice about it.
