Had an appointment for simple tire rotation. Through appointment meant some type of priority to get in and out quickly. Learned that appointment is really just a drop off time and was told it would be a couple hours wait. Appointment seems like a misleading term they are using.

The check engine light came on for our vehicle. They told me it costs $100 to hook it up to a computer to understand the error code. This Firestone has a coupon on their website that reads, Check Engine Light On? Free Code Scan. I thought, thats great, its just what I need. When I go pick up the car, they tell me all that coupon is good for is a scan using a small machine that gives them a diagnostic code. Understanding what that code means takes a technician to diagnose, so there is a full charge. I asked what is the coupon good for? Shouldnt I be discounted at least the scan portion of the diagnosis? Nope -- the coupon is a total scam. They charged $107 for a computer scan - I will never go back. Beware of this location and any special offers. Very misleading.

Quoted $1900 for a strut replacement when only a bolt was loose. $75 to right and diagnose elsewhere. Also highly sexist with a lot of ‘young lady’ and ‘honey’ plus touching in a pandemic. Do not use this shop.

My spare tire went flat four miles away from firestone. I hiked to the auto shop and they were quick to get the new tire shipped from Leander. Within 2 hours they had arranged for me to pick up my flat tire, ship a new tire to their shop and gave me a ride to my vehicle so that I could put my new tire on. They went the extra mile and got me back on the road faster than I could’ve expected. Excellent customer service!

Customer service was great! However, they attempted to charge me nearly $1,000 to replace my rotors AND brake pads. I took my vehicle back to the Mercedes-Benz dealership, which inspected the vehicle twice. The rotars did not need to be replaced. The dealership ended up charging me $365 + tax to replace my brake pads, which was the only work needed. I did not appreciate Firestone trying to charge me more than double the price of the Mercedes-Benz dealership for unnecessary services.

Jim was really helpful and informative with the tire selection process. We arrived late in the day after a sudden tire puncture and self changing to the spare so left the vehicle overnight. It was ready at the promised time the next morning.

They act like they are out for your best interest by being personable and telling stories, but they are only OUT FOR YOUR MONEY!!!! They wanted to charge me $300 for a new battery without informing me that I had a AAA battery in my car that was under warranty. When I asked what the date was on my battery he said, I dont know. When I asked what kind of battery I had in my car he said, I dont know. My car (a Volvo) has the battery in the trunk with a cover that takes 3 screws to get out. Its not easily accessible or I would have looked myself. The date and AAA sticker are clearly labeled on the battery. If I hadnt been persistent with my questions, I would have been ripped off! AAA came out to my house, tested my battery and alternator. Then replaced my battery for $100. AAA all the way! Firestone got $20 from me for testing my battery and two wasted hours of my time! Never again Firestone!

Consistently these guys give great service and quality. They are very busy because it. So I am willing to wait for an ethical good quality reasonably priced service. The cafe across the street is super good if you get to wait and tiff treats is nearby score!. Your car is worth the time they take to do it right everytime.

Broke down in randalls parking lot 50 yards away from the establishment.Firestone at Steiner Ranch thought that I was asking too much when i requested a hand in getting it pushed downhill to there garage. I mentioned i fully intended on repairing the vehicle with them and still no help.Great Guys at Firestone, really. Ill be taking my business to Sun Auto whom is offering free diagnostics to help customers during the covid-19 pandemic. THIS is an example of good guysFirestone wont even help you get your car to there shop in the same parking lot to pay them money to repair it. Im baffled by this must be nice to be so close to the Steiner Ranch community to treat us like trash.

Every time I take my car some where else other than this Firestone for service or maintenance because I am in a hurry or something, I always regret it. The mechanics here at Firestone really know what they are doing even more than my car dealership. Their customer service is above and beyond, they never try to up sell you, are totally honest and can really do a wide range of maintenance and repairs the right way the first time. Twice I have had to take my car to Firestone to get it properly diagnosed after 2 other places didnt know what they were talking about. So nice to have such a jewel of a place right here in our neighborhood! We really are so lucky. Sam, one of the managers at Firestone is super nice and really takes the time to make sure you are happy and taken care of. Cannot recommend them enough. 😀

I was told over the phone that they would patch my tire for free, as it was purchased there.When I arrived, they were very rude and tried to go back on their word. Finally was able to convince them to be honorable when, surprise surprise, they were suddenly unable to patch my tire and wanted to charge an extremely high rate for a replacement. (I recently had 2 tires replaced at the BMW dealership so I know how much they go for.)Needless to say, I left and took my car for a second opinion. $15 and 10 min later I drove off with a nicely patched tire, easy breezy.Moral of the story? Never using Firestone tires again.

I have been going here for years. Ed always makes sure I have what I need. I had a full flat yesterday and got my car towed there. My tires are an unique size and they usually have to be ordered. He found me 2 tires and had them shipped same day for me. Great service and saved me in my time of need

Ed and his boys run a very good shop. Very easy to work with, reasonably priced and they set accurate expectations on cost and timing. I have never had to return the vehicle because of incomplete or shoddy work and I have logged over 100 transactions since they opened. Highly recommended this place even if you dont live in the area.

I have been here twice. The first time was because I needed to get an inspection for my car registration. The process was very long and they seemed like they didn’t even want to be there and made me feel like I was bothering them by giving them business. It was a very hot day so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However I went back a second time with a friend and the same people were there with the same attitude. After we talked a little while they started to tap into their customer service but we ended up leaving because the wait time was way too long. I won’t be going to this location again.

If you are an Uber driver and you have account with caradvisor make sure that when you go to the shop let them know that you made an appointment through caradvisor and most important that the staff in the shop make the transaction through it and you payment and all of the services goes through the program (you dont pay nothing at the shop)because you received the discounts. The staff didnt do the application through caradvisor and I paid on the auto shop .....then I concerned about it and they fix it back and gave me the refund and make the paperwork through the caradvisor program.....be careful....I dont think I wont be going there again

This review has been a long time coming. I got a puncture in one of my runflat tires, and (since theyre run flat) I drove quite a few miles before the TPMS sensor alerted me to it—placing extra stress and wear on my other tires and basically ruining my alignment.Sam got me taken care of super quickly, transparently telling me what the issues were and what services were required to fix them. I showed up unannounced on a Sunday and my tire had been replaced, my wheels aligned, balanced, and rotated before the end of the day. Overall, I thought it was fairly priced and a smooth experience.Plus, since its in a nicer part of town you can walk to a nearby coffee shop or grocery store without having to look over your shoulder. Kudos to the Firestone team, Sam especially!

I went here because I had a flat tire and it was the only tire place open on a Sunday. When I arrived, I was informed that because I had used Fix A Flat to inflate the tire in order to drive to the store, the personnel couldnt even look at the tire--the only solution was to spend about a hundred dollars on a new tire. Now maybe this is Firestones company policy, and thats fine, but the salesperson presented the information in such a misleading way--saying he didnt even know why Fix A Flat was on the market, that it completely ruins tires--that I felt he was trying to take advantage of me.Anyway, I waited a day and took my car to a local tire shop. They fixed it no problem. Take everything you hear at this place with a heaping helping of salt.

I came in on 7-15-14. I was looking for a specific set of tires that were being discontinued. This store happened to have the last set of four tires around town. I took a 30 minute drive to get here. Now, the store is pretty quiet. The waiting area is the same as all other firestones. As soon as I walk into the store, a manager takes my order. I Order the tires and an alignment. He asks for my keys and I notify that I will be waiting at the store. After 3 hours, I got a brand new set of tires, an alignment and the manager went an extra step to notify me of my dying battery. I deny the offer because of my lack of money. Overall good Manager experience. Technicians seemed to be in a bad mood, but after getting lunch, It was all smiles. I could understand that. Anyhow. Once again Firestone kept me happy. Now to burn those tires on the track!

The staff here is trustworthy and honest, and I very much appreciate that in a car shop. The waiting room is nice and clean. Oh, and how nice that they had a toy box for my 2 year old to get into!

I brought my car in at 9:30am to get my tire with a nail in it patched. I was quoted that it would be done by 4pm and when I showed up at 5:45pm, I was talked to in a rude and degrading tone. I was asked if I had gotten a phone call confirming that my car was ready, when I responded saying that I did not but assumed they would keep to their word and be done by 4pm I was given the most disrespectful look. I then asked what time it would be done and the man, again in a degrading tone, told me it would be done by 5:00pm, but it was already 5:50pm. When I told him the time he said it would be done by 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:42pm and my car was ready. The woman I spoke to informed me that the nail was close to the edge of the tire and that it might not stay. I am a single mom of an 11 month old, and being stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire is the last thing I need.I did not appreciate being spoken to like I am stupid just because I am a woman. Although Firestone is a convenient location, I will take my family and I will be taking our business to Discount Tire where I am treated as an equal and spoken to in a respectful manner, the prices are so much better, and where they will return my vehicle to me in a timely manner.

Received a quote, agreed, set appointment for two tires. Model quoted wasnt available locally. Next model up was in town. They ordered the tires from another store, installed the two tires, with road hazard and checked the alignment for the quoted price.I dont understand why car manufacturers use Freaking Hard to find sizes. Why in the world put 20s on a high-end cross over? If we had needed 4 tires it might have been easier to buy 4 wheels & tires.

My land rover discovery 2 had a failed water pump, was fixed in Houston TX 3 months ago. It failed suddenly on my way to our sons violin class. Luckily i have 2 yrs warranty with Firestone complete auto-care.Had the car towed to this store because its close to my home. They replaced the water-pump for me, no charge. They also cleaned the car and fixed my tricky ignition key without any charge.Thank you so much! I will definitely recommend this shop.

The staff is rude. They are not respectful. I have unfortunately been stuck taking my car here more than once and they consistently try to sell me things that I dont need or want. And they are not respectful of my time as I wait for my car. After this, I will not be back. I am not sure if the rude treatment is because I am a young woman but it feels like that is part of it. I will take my business where I am treated well.

$2000 repair including tire rotation. The price was a couple hundred cheaper than the dealership, but when they rotated my tires they took my wheel lock key out of my glovebox and never put it back. Stopped by to talk to someone and they said they always hand it to them in person when they give them the keys, which is total bull. This was literally the first time Ive gotten my car fixed somewhere other than my dealership, and I dont think Ill be returning here again. The $200 or $300 you save isnt worth the hassle when they screw something up and take no responsibility. They even had the balls to tell me they can fix it for more money instead of apologizing. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, they just tried to find a way to get more money.

I was also in the waiting room with a gentleman who came in for them to look at a flat and they told him no problem it would be done right away. Over an hour for him as well. Horrible!! I got a quote from James for tires. I ordered the tires and came in. I was informed it would be an hour and half wait time. After an hour and 15 minutes waiting, I call them for an update and they tell me they ordered the wrong size!!! They literally wasted my time!! Dropped off a flat tire at noon to get it patched, and after 3 hours of no response I called to make sure everything was going alright. Sally answered the phone quite rudley, said it would be about 6 oclock. I decided to go in and just say forget it, and the man who went to get it for me was quite rude as well, repeating that it would be done by six. From now on Ill be using discount tire on 620, as a simple tire repair shouldnt take 6 hours to complete.

Called in and made an appointment to get a lifetime alignment after replacing my front lower ball joints. Waited an hour in the waiting room while my car sat parked in the parking lot. After an hour, I asked if they were going to start working on my car soon and they said it might be a little while because they are busy and I should call and make an appointment for faster service. I informed him once again that I had made an appointment over the phone earlier that day and he said he would check on my car. About 2 minutes later, they pulled my car into the alignment bay. After about 15 minutes the employee came to show me the results of my alignment and said that they could not correct the positive camber on one side because it was an older vehicle and the body was out of shape from years of driving. The toe adjustment was corrected on both wheels, but the camber was the same on one side and 1/10th of a percent on the other side. I went home and check the suspension for any suspect parts that could be causing my poor alignment and found nothing. Over the past 3 months, the car started pulling to the side more and the wheels started shaking. I thought if I replaced the top strut mounts with adjustable camber plates, then maybe I could get some more negative camber to correct the issue. As I was dismounting the lower strut mounts to install the new camber plates, I unbolted the lower strut mounts and decided to play with the adjustment to see if I could get it to fullest negative camber. I had marked my strut mounting bolts before doing the ball joints as to not affect the alignment and I noticed that they were both in the same position I had marked previously. I loosened both nuts and turned the camber bolt to see if I could get any more negative camber. The adjustment was all the way at the positive camber adjustment, so I adjusted it 180 degrees into the negative camber position. My car is no longer out of alignment, but one of the front tires is totally bald on one side and the rest of the tires are at about 70% tread. This is unacceptable that the camber wasnt touched at all and that was the sole reason I brought the vehicle in initially. I feel it is also worth mentioning that the previous owner had a lifetime alignment done at a Firestone near San Antonio before and this was the same adjustment that I marked before I replaced the ball joints. He had new tires installed at the time of the alignment, so Im wandering if he had the same issue as me. I cannot say for sure, but is seems worth mentioning for this review. If I wanted such poor service, I would have done it lazily myself on my steep driveway with a scissor jack and the tire under the car in case it fell of the jack. That only took me 15 minutes and the car tracks almost perfect. I suspect it is not perfect because of the unevenly worn tire. Next time, I will just do alignments at home and make small adjustments as needed. Sound tedious, but it pales in comparison to sitting in a waiting room for two hours and getting charged over two hundred twelve dollars for a toe adjustment. I feel as if I got swindled.
