This day I was driving by with an empty trailer on my way to pick up a tractor for service when my trucks tire started losing air. I called while on the road. Robby said come on in. I had a tire blow out on my trailer. Luckily I was a block away from this shop. Drove right in and was taken care of right away. 15 minutes and I was on my way with a fresh tire! Don Rucker Tire & Auto is my favorite mechanic shop. They are the most honest mechanics in Austin. Friendly, courteous, professional staff always provide mechanical service on time.

As one who also works in the auto industry I am very well versed in the subject of service center customer relations and pricing of services. Last week, I ran over a piece of metal in the road on the way to work and had to make an emergency stop as they happened to be right around the bend from where it happened. I can honestly say I felt so relieved to see them. My air pressure went from 32 psi to flat in probably less than 2 minutes! I limped in and they had my car pulled and being serviced in less than 10 minutes. Amazing! And they swapped me out with a used tire they had in their take offs pile and I was back on the road in no time at a surprisingly lose cost. Great team, very polite and excellent service. I absolutely love the services at Don Ruckers! They service all of our company vehicles and I also used them to trick out my 2017 GMC Yukon Denali XL. They installed a new exhaust, new cold air intake, and new rims and tires! It looks amazing! These guys may just be the last 100% honest mechanic left in Austin. We highly recommend them!

These guys were super cool about helping me with a hitch on my car. Unfortunately, my car is rolling piece of junk and too rusted to take a hitch, but the guys here took me around back to actually see what the issue was and told me it just wouldn’t be safe which I appreciate a ton. They were honest, took me as a walk-in, and even have me advice (like, get a new non-rust bucket of a car lol). Highly recommend these guys.

I got a flat tire in the rain on my birthday and was lucky enough to be right down the street from Don Rucker Tire & Wheel. Not only did the guys take care of my flat tire with speedy service, they offered me hot coffee and fixed the flat free of charge! I will definitely go back to this place. It goes to show that there are still good-hearted people out there that can tell when you are having a bad day and turn it around. Karma is alive a well and I highly recommend this shop!

Man these huts are hot stuff attentive eager to please and very professional. A real tire store not the rubber stamp tire store .these guys really know their stuff and dont mind sharing information about their business will not just sell you a set of tire with those tire comes a #1 experience pride of work and #1 service .piece of mind knowing they did excellent work ..you dont have to worry about you lug nuts being lose or the work not being performed correctly .It seems like there is a lot of unsaid team work like a well oiled machine .I left Discount tire for Dons #1 shop .wouldnt think of going anywhere else ..thanx to Don, Kevin and the crew at Don Ruckers

Was sold a new tire for $239.50 because they said my tire with a small screw in it couldnt be fixed. My car is a little over a year old. I took the tire with the screw to the Toyota dealer and he told me that it was a perfectly good tire and could have been easily plugged! Im out $239.50 for no good reason! On the plus side, the service was good!

Ended up bending my wheel and costing me a lot of time and money and they also sold me the wrong size tires. Absolutely horrible customer service and unprofessional work these guys have trouble jacking up a car correctly and treat you like you don’t know anything. DEFINITELY don’t recommend taking anything with wheels here I would give it no stars if I could.

Solid auto shop with a pretty friendly staff. Dropped my car off because it needed a new alternator and had my car back only a few hours later. They didnt spare details about my car, which was good and bad. Good because they were honest about other issues my car was and will later be experiencing without trying to up-sell me additional services, bad because, well, my car has so many issues. I dont frequently visit Lakeway anymore but when I was down there on work I made sure to get the car to them as soon as I started having issues. Will definitely be going there if I ever have more problems and am in the area.

These are my new peeps. Not only is it right down the road from my house, but it has a small town auto shop feel to it with friendly guys that you can trust.

Horrible customer service. I took my truck in for tire rotation and balance. I was pleased at first when I picked up the truck. the next morning I noticed that they had not inflated a low tire that was now on the front and the valve stem cap was missing. It was early so I stopped by Rucker at 7:50 am. Donny was the only person there, when I explained what happened Donny told me they didnt open til 8am (10 minutes), did not offer to air up tire or an apaology.. I was in a hurry so I went across the street to Speedy Stop to pay $1 for air, after just having paid $60 to Rucker. Later when I called to complain to a manager i was not surprised to find that Donny(Son?) was the manager.

Took my grand cherokee wk in for a lift, shocks, struts, and control arms (all of which I purchased beforehand online), and they did a fine job. Great customer service and excellent work. Thanks, guys!

I absolutely love these guys. I literally use them for everything. I took my car into the dearership and they quoted me some outrangous price. I then took it to Don Rucker and it was half the cost and I got my car back in half the time. I highly recommend them for everything possible when it comes to your car.

Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. There are several different options for modifications for your vehicle. Rough Country is their preferred brand for lift kits. Prices are slightly lower than the competition.

Gouged my tire & all they had to say is we have so much business we dont care. Attendant was cocky, very unprofessional, should be fired!They claim to be concerned about safety but only when trying to produce tire sales and had no problem with this slash on a F-350 that tows 30,000 lbs.Lies & deception: Beware!
