I got my car inspection done here and it was a great experience! This was the only place that allowed appointments. Every other shop I called had a 2-3 hour wait and no way of scheduling an appointment. They said they’d get me in and out within thirty minutes with an appointment and it was actually way quicker than that! Everyone I spoke to was so polite and kind and the entire process took about 15 minutes total :)

Very professional service. Good explanations of cause of car problems and repairs needed. Great communication from appointment to finished repairs. Everyone was very courteous and friendly and made the whole precess very pleasant. Will definitely return!!

If you have more time and money than sense than this is the place for you. They make appointments, but it will be days before they even diagnose your car. They charge a separate diagnostic fee for each system. If you had a problem with your engine block and air conditioner, that would be two different systems, and you would be out $250 before getting started. They have at least a 200 %markup on parts and labor-more expensive than going to the dealer. I was without my car for about two weeks, and they did not even fix what I asked. Their estimate for my 2005 Volvo was over $6000. They recommended that I replace a part that was brand new and had just recently been replaced and was not the problem. It made me wonder if they even looked at the car. I ended up fixing the car myself for less than $100, and they are supposed to be the experts! On the plus side, staff is very polite and they have a shuttle.

I had a very good experience with Christian Brothers Automotive. They took my old Yukon in the same day I called in the mid afternoon and had it diagnosed before closing time. AAA told me I needed a new battery and a new alternator and they told me there was nothing wrong with the alternator. 🙏🏻 Brian communicated what was wrong with it clearly and concisely, explaining what needed to be done right away and what could wait. Did a great job fixing it. They worked with my time and my budget. I definitely recommend them.

Have always had a great experience here! I’ve taken my car several years for inspection. You can make an appointment and they are very efficient when you take your vehicle in for inspection. They seem very honest and never try and get extra money for things that aren’t needed like I’ve had experience with at other places. I will definitely continue to take my car here for inspection and for anything other problems that arise.

Car maintenance and repairs are never fun and often stressful because it’s always expensive and you always have this hunch that you’re being taken advantage of. My husband and I have been going to Christian Brothers Automotive for about 3 years now and we are always so surprised at how kind everyone is who works there. They explain things in a very easy to understand manner, they are so respectful and personable and we feel well taken care of whenever we have to leave our car there. While there is just no way to get around the fact that car maintenance and repair is expensive, they always do a good job of advising you on what maintenance/repair tasks should be done sooner and which ones can wait a while, which is something we really appreciate.

My “Battery Light” on dash was on.I stopped at the Auto place I bought it at. Reb/trusted person checked battery, it was low. He did another test and said the Alternator wasn’t working and I’d need a new one.He suggested Christian Brothers.I went immediately to Christian Brothers and had the Alternator replaced.Long story later, I am very happy with the work done.They’re now my place for everything car.

Tried these guys out for the first time for an inspection appointment and had a wonderful experience! Probably the most professional and courteous automotive business Ive ever been too. As a young single female many car places will try to take advantage and capitalize on my lack of knowledge of cars but this is not the case here. They are honest and good to their word, which is rare now a days. They were pretty speedy or upfront with the timing of the repair/service which is refreshing as well. The waiting area is also really nice (not a necessity but a good perk). The only comment I would have is they are slightly expensive for the area but in my opinion the extra money is well spent for the honesty, they wont try to nickel and dime you.

As a female alone in the city, I am hesitant to take my car just anywhere for service for fear of being up sold because I am a geniales. I didn’t feel this way at all at Christian Bros. I bought a 20 year old 4Runner recently and took it in to Christian Brothers about a month ago to get it checked out. It definitely needed some work, but they got it fixed all fixed up for what I thought was a very fair price; it was quick; and they never tried to push anything that wasn’t necessary. I’ve never had a bad experience with these folks.

Shannon, Chase and the entire team at Christian Brothers is great. I was originally told that there was a very high probability that any servicing of my vehicle would not be able to happen until after the weekend (my vehicle arrived Thursday before memorial day). Very understandable, but also a bummer. Shannon was able to get my vehicle assessed, and promptly provided a report of issues as well as an estimate for repair. Even though I did not go through with the repairs in the end, Shannon took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns surrounding my vehicle. Both he and Chase were highly professional, patient and courteous in our correspondences. Highly recommend Christian Brothers, and I will definitely be using them for all automotive needs in the future.

I took my car in for an oil change and inspection. There was a lot of upselling and the next day, my check engine light is on where it wasnt before. Taking it somewhere else for a second opinion on the upselling and to get the check engine light figured out. Ive been to other locations, and they were fine. Not sure about this one.

Christian Brothers is our go-to spot for routine maintenance, oil changes, and state inspections. They are always friendly, professional, honest, and reliable and I feel like the services suggested and performed are always necessary rather than just up-selling. They had to close for a bit due to the Feb 2021 Austin freeze and even though both cars needed service during this time, we waited for them to repair and reopen as we’d rather not take our cars anywhere else. Highly recommend checking them out.

I highly recommend this professional group of people who went the extra miles to help with my 2005 RX330 Lexus. They were able to find a non branded bottom shield, saving me over $500 compared to going to the dealership.

Went in for a inspection and was out in 10 minutes, employee said they dont charge for inspections but i offered to pay anyways. Staff was fast,friendly, and the waiting area was quaint and clean. Will go here for future business, definitely recommend!

I had a problem a couple of years ago with a window that wouldnt go up. It happened to the same window due to a part that failed and was covered by the warranty. Love the fact that they have a warranty!! Theyre very nice, as well. Wouldnt take my car anywhere else at this point!

I’d been needing to take my car to a mechanic for some diagnostics, but had been wary due to not having a trusted shop at the time. I saw a really positive review for Christian Brothers Automotive from a neighbor so I decided to give them a shot.Incredibly happy I did. They were very professional to schedule and work with. They have a really efficient text and online system for you to see what work is being done, what notes are added from the technicians, and what recommendations are being made. They also have a shuttle that took me home after dropping off my car.I went in thinking that I had an issue that would end up costing a lot, but they were incredibly honest and gave me a run down of the problem and how I can easily fix it and what to do if I wanted to do it myself.By far the most efficient and positive car repair experience I’ve had. I’ll 100% be using them for anything and everything auto related moving forward.

Fast and friendly service. Showed up initially for an inspection, that my car failed due to the plate light being out. They offered to try and squeeze it in that day, but I chose to drop it off the next day. They got me in and got it taken care of and the inspection updated so I could get the registration taken care of. I probably will be coming back next year since I always seem to have difficulty finding someone open and doing inspections when I need to get them done.

Brian, Shannon and Chris made this an awesomely enjoyable experience. They were engaging and upfront with all that was going on with my vehicle. This is an automotive repair shop. Terrible experienceWent in for a vehicle inspection and the servicemen said it failed because of a gas cap. Went next door to advance automotive came back within 10 min and he wouldn’t do the test with the new gas cap. Made me make another appoint two weeks out. So I’m now driving with an expired sticker. Not felt like a valued customer.Definitely would not recommend Christian Brothers. Take your business to where they value you as a customer

I had an appointment for a state inspection. They greeted me got me in and out in 30 mins. Im pleased with this location.

I always have a good experience at this CB Auto. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and they have a good process for quoting and authorizing work to be done. I’ve found them to be a little pricier than some of the other auto shops in the area, but I trust them to do a good job and they offer a strong warranty on the work they do.

They provided an intensely fast service for my transmission repair. I expected to not have my car for three maybe four days and it was ready in two. The shuttle service is fast and a wonderful addition to the well rounded customer service I received. From the initial phone call to picking up my car this was the best shop experience Ive had in Austin.

I will be back again for any car problems or questions I may come across. Their service informative, caring, and efficient. And it is not just this location specifically but several other locations around the area.

Facing the April 14th Texas deadline for inspection and registration earlier this week, I had difficulty getting in anywhere two days in a row.Despite the fact that they had a full roster for days when I walked in Tuesday afternoon, they made arrangements to fit me in the next morning. Since the timeframe was several hours and I live close by, I planned to walk home and back, but instead they offered use of their shuttle service, which was a huge bonus.CBA completed the inspection an hour or two before it was expected, and I was able to get the rest of my day started much earlier than I had anticipated.I am extremely happy with the service I received... And kind of embarrassed that I had allowed their name to turn me off from giving them business in the past, because that was definitely the best experience I’ve ever had getting a car inspected. I usually take my car into Firestone but Ive only had negative experiences recently and so I decided to give Christian Brothers Automotive a try. I can honestly say it was a very positive experience! My car was having power steering issues and now it drives like a dream. The staff were friendly and helpful! I didnt use their shuttle service but the fact that they offer that is a testament to their customer service! Ill certainly be back but hopefully not for a while because replacing a cars power steering isnt cheap! :)

I needed a car inspection but they didnt have any openings for the day I wanted. They offered to squeeze me in and I really appreciated that. I was out of there in about 20 minutes. Great customer service!

The brakes seemed to be working OK, until this (am) Saturday when my wife was taking the car when she noticed the Brake and VDC lights were on. I got home drove the car and noticed these lights coming on and going off randomly.

This was my second visit to Christian Bros. What a professional team they have. I took my daughters car in for oil change & inspection - PLUS - checking over the car - & was done in 1 hour from the start of the appointment. Met the owner too, what a nice person.

Scheduled an appointment for an oil change and was in and out very quickly while receiving text updates along the way so I had an idea of what was happening - even received an online report just before checking out. I had a light come on and AAA came and did a diagnostic and said my battery was fine they thought it was alternator. We take my car to your shop and tell them that we don’t think it’s the battery and to check the alternator. (The battery is less than a year old) We ended up going with the recommended service. ( which wasn’t exactly cheap especially for what was done ) I could’ve gone to autozone if I really needed a new battery. I pick up the car and drive home, change clothes and go to the gym. When I come out my car is DEAD! Call AAA again and sure enough it’s the alternator. Hours later have it towed home. Needless to say, I’m not happy and have serious reservations about your expertise. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

They gave very clear explanations and I ended up having a great conversation with what I found out later was the owner of the branch. Brought my Cruiser in for poor performance and diagnostic light check. Their check showed a lot of problems. The estimate was very expensive but I was willing to go with it since Im a senior who doesnt think he will need a car for very much longer and I figured the cost was less than maybe a replacement auto. The manager was very reluctant to make the repairs because he thought that these repairs might not be the end of it. He convinced me and I bought a older used car that has a good record. I later realized I hadnt paid for the diagnostic so I went in to settle up. He told me no charge. They could have gone ahead and made the repairs without comment and made a fair amount of money but they preferred to do what they thought was right and honest. Ill be back if this new car has any problems because I trust them.

I highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA). I have always had a very pleasant experience in dealing with the CBA personnel, which is not only friendly and courteous but very professional. Among other things, they keep their customers well informed about the diagnostics and progress made with their vehicles (they would even send me pictures of the parts that need attention, indicating which are more urgent.) Moreover, the different services that my two vehicles have received in the past have always been quite satisfactory.

Ive been bringing my vehicles here for regular maintenance for years. They always get the job done well and charge a reasonable price. On top of that, they are some of the nicest people Ive ever encountered.Ive sat in their lobby many times while they work on my car and Ive watched them interact with many customers. Today in particular, I watched them handle a customer who didnt understand an issue, got really frustrated, and was threatening to leave bad reviews (even though, in my opinion, CBA had done absolutely nothing wrong). They handled it with such patience and kindness, that it inspired me to finally come leave a review after years of visits.Oh also - their lobby is really comfortable and clean. Theres couches, coffee, and a clean bathroom. I highly recommend coming here.

They are a bit more expensive then other shops in the area but they do the service correctly. If they do find anything wrong they will not try to BS you with services or repairs your car clearly does not need. Honest in the work they do.

I went in to get my water pump replaced and they took it all apart and found out that there was more wrong and when I couldn’t afford to pay for it they put it back together as is in charged me nothing and everyone I talked to was super friendly and understanding
