Called in advance to see if they had availability for tire pressure check so I didn’t have to wait in line. Also with inflation of prices just checked to see if there would be any charges. The gentleman who answered the phone answered very rudely. When I came to get things checked, they were fast but didn’t even check for the psi like at discount tire company. I wouldn’t have gone here if discount tire closed at 5 pm. Anyways, hope they have better service in the future.

I always have an excellent experience here (theyve taken care of all my oil changes, battery needs, and other bigger repairs for about two years). The entire staff (including but not limited to: Felipe, Rich, and Jeremy) is very professional, kind, and efficient. I like the comfort of going to a national chain because I know the pricing will be consistent, but the guys explain my repairs to me as if I were their neighbor. I NEVER leave feeling confused or taken advantage of.

Pep Boys has worked on my cars for 30-40 years. They do a great job, usually faster than I expect, and their prices are competitive. I started going to Pep Boys because Id heard they were good, but also because theyre a national chain. I thought, if one of their repairs goes bad 500 miles from home, Im likely find another Pep Boys nearby. So far Ive never needed to.This store is as good as the others Ive been to. Today I got new tires, AC repaired, electrical system checked and fuses replaced, oil change, and tunep, in 7 hours. Staff were on top of things and gave me good advice. Im happy!

Labor is a little more than other places Ive been but so far I havent had an issue with the work theyve done. Theyre actually way faster than they say theyll be every time too. Like by several hours. Theyre pretty good about breaking down exactly what theyre doing and why. And so far theyve been the only people to actually tell me whats up with my TPMS instead of just telling me its my tire pressure and not actually seeing if theres a problem.

Richard, the manager, was very accommodating in regards cramming me into their final business hour for a vehicle inspection that I procrastinated on (leaving town today, needed it done ASAP) - I also noticed he did the same for another two or three people all coming in for various concerns during the last half hour of being open. He had a tech who was a bit ornery about taking these tickets in the last few minutes, but Mr Richard put a slap on that saying Dude, we are still open...!. Nothing is worse than a business that closes earlier than their advertised time (which I cant say about a PepBoys up the road, hence my frantic quest to find an inspection after 7pm).I only needed an inspection, ended up getting some highly recommended wiper blades as Ive been long overdue. He 100% upsold me on some topnotch blades, and I gladly obliged.10/10. 5 stars. Highly recommended. Ill 100% be back as long as this dude is running the show. Hes not only a manager, but seems to be an experienced mechanic himself.

I am very disappointed by the lack of professionalism in common courtesy after dropping for my car about a couple of weeks, I had to be the one checking in to find out status then the price previously confirmed with Richard almost jump by $300 this is unacceptable and he happened to no longer working in the location like magic. In the end and with some accommodations with the last agent, my price was reduced and my car fixed. I hope this served as an opportunity to get better.

Cannot recommend this place due to false advertisement.Both - the website & the sticker on their window promise free battery test and professional installation. This is only why I came there.While purchasing a battery at this location (one of those listed on their website) I was told at the store oh no, we dont install anything and I dont know what is this sticker about... maybe ask at the service?. Okay, went to service and there I was told no, everything you buy at the store is do-your-own, you must buy through us [service] for free installation.Very interesting approach. So, the sticker is on the store, but I should buy the battery at the service for a higher price for free installation.Additionally no-one was able to explain me why the heck theres a sticker promising free installation on the stores window.I dont recommend this location and dont recommend PepBoys in general. Wont use their service or products ever again.

BEWARE! Do not bring your car here!I went here for warranty work on my 2011 Sonata. Because I heard a clicking noise and a metal rubbing noise coming from the front of the care while turning. I was thinking the CV axles were going bad but wasnt sure of the metal rubbing noise and decided to bring it in. They completely ignore the CV axle noise and went after the brakes claiming it was rusted out and on top of that it still did not fix the clicking noise. I took it to another shop after I started to hear the metal rubbing noise again after 4 months later. Guess what, not only was the top brake mounting bolt was not fastened to the hub assembly. The bolt was CROSSTHREADED BALD!!! How do you damage someones car and not tell them about it? These people are absolutely USELESS!!! I drove for FOUR MONTHS on that caliper in damn-near-slam-on-your-brakes traffic. The mechanic tried to retread the bolt using the opposite bolt and that did not work. Im surprised the front brakes even worked. Messed up part is that i took it to a shop I took it too, replaced the both CV axles and the clicking noise went away. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place like the plague.

I would give this place a zero. I was misquoted and forced to pay $100 more than what they quoted me over the phone. When I arrived they changed their story. If you dont want to lose money, especially during a great recession, choose another location. This one will gaslight you and promise you lies of what they can help you with.

Took Mazda CX9 in due to heater core being clogged as water was seeping into passenger side floor mat area. Spoke to Felipe. He was able to drain out the remaining water and pretty much took care of the problem. Did not charge anything. We ended up replacing some AC filter that was completely clogged up and may have contributed to the problem. What I thought was gonna be a $300 or $400 bill ended up being $50 for the filter and labor ! Thank goodness.

I paid for new tires and an alignment and BOTH services were not completed correctly. Which I instantly knew when I picked up my car because my dashboard lights were light up.After going to Cosco 1 day after they informed me there is no way an alignment was complete on my car as it was completely off center. Also 2 of my new tires had low air pressure.I called pep boys and informed them of the bad service. I will definitely not go back there and would no recommend this place to anyone.

Will never go here again. Last year i had my brakes done and they went out in less than 8 months. I had even taken my car in when i was hearing a grinding sound and Pep Boys said everything was fine and brakes looked good. Shortly after that i took it to AAMCO where i received the confirmation that my brakes needed to be replaced because they were worn down almost completely! Pep boys was no help what so ever a waist of money!

These guys are incredible. They dont treat you just as another customer, but as a person. They take the problems with your vehicle seriously. I was able to make it home in time for the Holidays back in NY, because they actually cared. I brought my truck in really late, and I had to get the spark plugs changed. It not only was really kind of them to finish the job working past the clock. They even reduced the amount of the original cost for me. Im incredibly thankful for them and their service. You must go to them if you are in the area. My truck ran fine all the way home to NY. They did the job fast, and they did it right. Keeping my best interest at heart as well, reducing the final price for me. THANK YOU GUYS!

I’ve had good service here, but it really does depend on who you get. I do most of my own work. I’ve bought lots of parts here, because I get coupons from them in my email. The coupons make their prices some of the best locally, and they’ve been fair about changing out parts under warranty. I had a moment where I wasn’t sure if I they were going to take care of an exchange because the discontinued product, but they made it all right. So I’m giving them 5 stars. They’ve earned it.

For the second time this month, I’ve made an appointment at this location and driven 30 miles at rush-hour only to be told that there’s not a technician available. Both appointments were made on Thursday, and today I was told Thursday is the technicians day off. How am I supposed to trust my car to these morons when they can’t even make an appointment? Also, why is there only one person that’s trained as a mechanic?I’ve wasted hours with these jokers, do not bring your car here!!

I went here to have my car looked over last week before a long trip from Austin to Los Angeles. Even though my rush timing was bad, I was very pleased and happy Roland took the time from his busy schedule to assist me in finding another pep boys manager outside their location that he trusted to look over my vehicle immediately. He made multiple calls and found an available and trusted manager not to far from where we were. Thanks Roland! Sam was great and Im safe and sound in Ca now.

I brought it in for a brake fluid flush/exchange and also a second opinion on the brakes (via free brake inspection). They did exactly what they needed to do plus provided a good diagnostic of my brakes without attempting to oversell me on services. Additionally Todd at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Lastly, to top things off, the services are priced VERY competitively and beat out every other auto shop I could find by a wide margin. Ill be coming back here for sure!

Travis has been absolutely amazing through multiple visits Ive had here.I had a cylinder misfire and they really did everything they could to take care of the issue and make it as easy and affordable as possible.Then I went back today for a flat tire and I felt like I really got my moneys worth, and I was in and out very quickly both times. I just wanted to give a shout out to Don, the service manager at this location. Don is by far the most laid back, funny, kind, and honest mechanic I have ever taken my car to. He let us know exactly what my girlfriends car needed now and what could wait until later. Also, he worked with our extended warranty to make sure we did not have to pay anything out of pocket. He alone just solidified my loyalty to that location - From now on, we will always be bringing our cars here. Thanks, Don!

Theres no ”pep in the boys at this shop!!! Called ahead to confirm my order arrived and they could mount the tire sometime that day. I was told yes sir, just drop the rim off. (My fault for not getting that persons name.) Showed up and was informed that their equipment was too old to do the work. Are you kidding me?!? With a cant do attitude I wonder how you stay in business? Dont waste your time here. The NTB up the road was more than able to complete the task in under 10 minutes AND while I waited.

Happy Wife, Happy Life. - Every husband.So my wife needed an oil change a couple months ago. Maybe were a little traditional, but my wife told me to take care of it because its a mans job. Ok, no problem, honey. 2 months later (present day) after weeks of friendly reminders, I finally got to it on my honey do-list. To add to the urgency, she just noticed a tire gradually losing air pressure.I took her car into Pep Boys because I needed to take care of that tire puncture first and I bought tires and road hazard warranty years ago. Travis told me it was no problem and there would be no additional charge for it. Awesome, they honored that agreement. In addition, I like to purchase my own oil and filter because Im particular on what I use. They gave me a very reasonable price for labor only and I told them to add that job too.In under an hour, they were able to patch up the tire and get the oil changed. They also rotated my tires as requested and did a quick inspection around the car to make sure everything was good to go.Pep Boys gets a lot of flak and I was hesitant in coming back after years, but Travis and Roberto did a great job and delivered excellent customer service.Update: Wife is no longer giving me vehicle reminders, my husbandly duties have been fulfilled for the day.

Ive gone with Pep-Boys for a while now, and today I felt compelled to write this review. Its long deserved. Glenn called today because they had an issue finding the correct spark plugs (the kind which work best with my car) and the ignition coils. They went OUT OF THEIR WAY to buy them from an outside source so that I could have my car ready ASAP. Im a teacher and I drive a long way every day, so I need my car. It was nice that they took my needs into consideration and bent over backwards to get this done. This is consistently what I experience with these guys. Glenn further called just to make sure it was OK because it would cost me an extra $12, and of course I agreed. So, they stuck with their quote and Im so happy I went with them again. I will continue to be a loyal Pep-Boys customer in the future. Thanks guys! UPDATE: Went by again yesterday. Busy as they were, Trent squeezed my car in for tires and some other work. Done on 24 hours, and he even managed to save me $90. AWESOME! 🚗

Long story short, I spent 4 hours in this shop trying to get 4 new tires mounted when I was told I had an appointment the day before. Apparently the tech who was supposed to be doing the work was the boss son. He left midway through the job (he was just sitting in the customer waiting area on his phone), so my truck sat on the lift for hours without anyone working on it. Total waste of time, shouldve just had them delivered home so I could do them myself or take them to a real shop. The psi of each new tire was really inconsistent as well. What a joke.

Thanks so much for your time and help. I love it at pep boys on metric & research. Early this week I called for some help with tires. Don is great. He was so patient with me while he answered all my silly questions. He kept thinking and thinking until he found the perfect solution for me. When I came in for my appointment, Ronald quickly checked me in. I gave him my keys and he gave me a time estimate. Im not sure who ended up doing the dirty work but they were fast. Super fast, really. They installed all 4 tires and did an alignment and I was outta there 30 minutes earlier than Ronald had estimated. Thanks again, see you soon.

Didnt actually come to the location, however, Byrd came to our rescue on the side of the road still in uniform. We had a minor tire issue but he was incredibly friendly, helpful and was able to explain the issue while also giving some comedic relief with stories so I didnt feel so dumb about my mistake. Amazing and quick service. Don (Service manager) is excellent with people and not just some A-hole every day mechanic. Most of all, they dont fix what dont need fixing. They changed my tires and did a electrical diagnostic test. Very happy and will return for my vehicle needs.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLACE FOR PARTS & ACCESSORIES!! Gil and his team went above and beyond to help me with purchasing the right tool box for my truck, and even helped with showing the best/cheapest way to properly install in my truck. This is the ONLY place Ill go to for parts and accessories! Ive been coming here for over a year now, and EVERY employee that Ive talked to at this Pep Boys is well versed in the automotive field, and they will do whatever it takes to make sure you get the right parts at the best price in town. I ordered my battery and front brakes online. I had the battery installed never received the brakes. I was told that I would receive a call instead of me driving back in. I never received that call so I called left messages no response at all . I cancelled the order over the phone because online they refused to allow me that option. They could really use some training for their employees. It took me over 15 minutes to return some cores after I was done replacing my brake calipers. The employee was very nice, but it was only her and one other guy and he didn’t seem very concerned that it was taking so long to complete the transaction.

Never again! We will never use Pep Boys tire service again. Made a 10 am appt. They are kind enough to send you a reminder that you have an appointment, but how ignorant that they dont actually have the tire guy come in until 11:30 am and dont tell you that. Our time is important. And this location is not right down the street from us, 45 minutes. I had the Road hazard coverage, luckily I had my husband take my tire in because they tried to trade a tire of less value than what was originally purchased. He called them out on that and then they realized that the bait and switch wouldnt work so they went back to the same value tire as was originally purchased.The manager, Gil, acted liked he would compensate my husband for his 3 hour plus wait time with a discount. When it came time to check-out, the measly discount that was given was laughable. And the service tech left the spare just thrown in the back and when asked about that, Oh, guess what, theres a charge for them to actually put your spare back. Great customer service Pep Boys. Youve lost this customer and Ill be sure to tell anyone who asks, not to waste their time, unless they have nothing else to do for 3+ hours.

I went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation and after making me wait for 5 hours, the mechanic who worked on my car disrupted my air conditioning, which now only blows out hot air. I know this is true because the AC had only given me one issue in 8 years and I had it fixed no more than a month earlier. I now have to drive around in 90 degree heat with no reprieve simply because my engine needed new motor oil. I feel this Pep Boys owes me compensation for the repairs I will have to take on for the AC, as well as a refund for the oil change. These kinds of predatory actions are unacceptable and the management should hold their employees accountable. Bring your car in at your own risk, but I am not dropping this issue and will pursue my due compensation until i receive both money for my AC repairs and a refund for the oil change.

My car was overheating and Pep Boys quoted me $1,763.04 to fix my car because they said the radiator fan was broken, radiator caps were cracked among a myriad of other issues. I took my car to another place and they fixed it for $20.00 because my coolant cap was leaking. The second place spent 3 hours running all the tests just to be sure. My radiator caps are fine. My radiator fan is fine. Everything is fine. Pep Boys straight lied. The worst part is that $1,200 of the costs they were going to charge me was for labor, only $220 of that was for parts. Everything else was for warranty. I cant tell you how angry I am.

I went in for two separate occasions, first for service and second for sales.I needed to get my timing belt replaced and not wanting to pay $1000+ like what other shops/dealerships were wanting, I decided to go with Pep Boys because with the discount, the total came out to about $800.When I walked in to the service area thinking Id get serviced fairly quickly due to the appointment that I had made, they had one employee (Don) working the desk, talking to another customer on the phone and it took about 30 minutes before he finally got to me. I understand that there may be a walk-in customer or someone calling in but it completely defeats the purpose of making an appointment if theres only going to be one person trying to get to everyone. Not only that but they had originally told me that they could get it done by that evening--which ended up taking 2 whole days before I got my car back. At least I saved $200 or so...or so I thought. I recently had to go to a highly-respected, well-reviewed dealership to fix a problem and they had inform me that they noticed that someone had recently replaced the timing belt and that they (Pep Boys) had left a few screws loose or took out entirely and never replaced it. They also mounted something in the timing belt region incorrectly so that was gonna have to be taken care of it immediately. And before you say maybe the screws werent there/loose in the first place, I had the dealership inspect my car a few weeks back so they knew that that wasnt the case.The second incident occurred in the sales department when I had ordered about 7 items online and wanted to pick them up. I ordered it in the morning and received an email shortly after saying that my order was ready for pick-up. I went into the store around noon, thinking Id quickly go in, grab my stuff, and come out. But guess again. Turns out they didnt have any of my stuff ready to be picked up and I had an employee whos been working there for only 3 days help me pick it out around the store. Not only that but they made me swipe my card all over again which COMPLETELY defeated the purpose of buying it online and inputting my credit card number. The whole process of picking up my order took about an hour and a half. And when they brought me the items, some of them werent even the right item. I voiced this and they either said its the old packaging (it wasnt) or they didnt have it in stock (they did). So they were not only irresponsible in not having my things ready as they sent out the email for the pick-up, they try to make me pay more for the items that I didnt even order. I tried telling all this to Herman the Retail Manager and he simply dismissed me saying things like What can we do about it? or Sometimes these things happen. and simply walked away.This had got to be the worst customer service that I had ever received from an auto shop, both sales and servicing. Until Herman gets removed or some drastic changes are implemented, Im going to be staying away from this specific Pep Boys, and you should too.

PEP Boys has got to be one of Americas biggest secrets. Much more than a car parts store, or a service bay stuck on the road, 1500 Mi from home on Saturday evening (9 passengers needing to be at work Mon morning) NO garages open to help before Monday...PEP Boys sends a wrecker and fixes it with in-house parts and has me on the road in two hours. Even stayed a bit after 9pm just to get me out. Couldnt have been more helpful.Try finding that elsewhere.Price was very reasonable. Ive always found them most helpful.

Easy location to get to.The service center is stated with very knowledgeable people who have always been very honest with me.Last time I was there needing service they were to busy to assist that day, however the service manager gave me 2 or 3 options on what I could do to solve my car problem. This included going to a different service center. Nowadays this is so uncommon.Needless to say Im a huge fan and go back.

A few good guys with a bunch of bad apples... After buy an original part at this location and pay them to put it on, I had to go back 3 times because I was still having the same problem.. Finally I had to ask for a reimbursement and take my car to the original Dealer, and not even an apologize was offered, the assistant manager at that moment, not even looked at me or talked to me after I asked for the reimbursement, I guess I was asking for his money from his pocket and that made him mad. that what I call Great service!!! keep it up guys.

I had a great experience here. Don the Service Manager is fantastic and really helped me out through an old cars inevitable demise. I had to leave it there for almost a week for some unexpected work trips and that was no problem. I was kept updated, received service way above standard.Only pitfall, my car did get broken into while in the parking lot. Pep Boys covered the window repair, just be careful if you have to leave you car. I emptied mine out entirely and it was so worth it. Be aware

Weve gone to two different locations in Austin, making this location our second, hoping for better experience than the 1st time around but unfortunately that wasnt the case. They are always sorry for taking to long and lack work ethics period. People never go to Pep Boys, your better off in going to Walmart for better service! They dont even deserve one star but in order to post something you will have to score at least 1 star.... HORRIBLE!

Ive always had a great experience with this Pepboys. The service guys quickly help you and answer questions, and Ive found their services to be far more reasonable and quick than others. Store clerks are hard to find when checking out at the store, but they are helpful and friendly people when you do find them!

This pep boys location has greatly increased the amount of parts they carry. It used to be really hit or miss if pep boys had the part you needed. Now they have less than half the floor space for non parts compared with before. So who knows, they might actually have the parts I need now.

I called ahead to find out if the item I wanted was in stock and the woman who answered actually went to the shelf where the item was stocked, confirmed that there were 3 in stock as the inventory system indicated, and brought the item to the Parts desk and put my name on it so I would not have to look for it when I got to the store. When I arrived we opened the (unsealed) box to ensure that everything was in order and found that there was a part missing from the box. She set it aside to take it out of their inventory system to prevent another customer from being inconvenienced and she got another one off the shelf for me. We opened it and found it to be complete and I purchased it. The willingness of the store associate to take the time to inspect the product to ensure that all the parts were present saved me from buying it and taking it home only to discover the omission and have to return it. I was extremely satisfied with the level of service I received and the friendliness and knowledge of the person who assisted me.

Second time in a row I had to wait 2.5 plus hours for a oil change. They didn’t even tell me my car was done and ready to go. I had to speak with the manager (Don) to get some type of understanding as to why I was waiting so long even though my car was done. All I got back in response was that he was sorry and that’s all he could offer me!! This place is a joke and the management is a joke. Extremely unprofessional and could care less about the customer. Stay away!!

This place is horrible they never have openings for basic services such as oil changes tire rotation etc. When we arrived there were no cars in the in the bay nor were there any customers at the store, yet the guy behind the counter told us they were busy and it would be like a 4 hour wait for service. Im like how yall busy but nobody here. He said some people have appointments, I said well they not here for the appointments so there goes that logic. This place is filled with excuses to get out of doing any work. They want to sit and do nothing all day in hopes customers dont keep there appointments do they can continue doing nothing. Sad Truth

I have been doing business with Pep Boys for many years now and this is the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had at any one of their service centers. The manager at this location is loud and obnoxious, and is condescending to his employees and customers. I called earlier in the day to ask to have a service done on my car and he told me My tech is not gonna waste his time looking for the bolt that goes on your starter. Then, the Vietnam Vet cashier (who was obviously new) was stuck in a blue screen and didnt know how to get out of it to get to the POS screen and cash me out. The manager treated him so poorly, Im surprised the poor guy didnt just walk out on him right then and there. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location.
