Husband came in after leaf spring on his trailer broke. Stacy took great care of him fitting him in when he was 2 weeks over booked with work. So I was trying to change out the ball on my Equalizer weight distribution hitch that we use to tow our trailer. It seems the dealer that set us up put the wrong type of ball in so it needed to be replaced. I tried to do it at home and it seems the dealer must have cross threaded the nut as I could not get it off. I google hitch places and Spiller came up so I figured I’d see if they could help. I dropped in without an appointment, they were willing to help me right then and there even though they were busy. They ended up having to cut the ball off with a torch, and installed the new ball for me (that I’d brought). I asked how much I owed and they said not to worry about it that I was good to go as it didn’t take them long to do. I was shocked as no one really helps anymore these days without asking for something. I was truly greatful and appreciative of the assistance as I was stuck. I will definitely come back to them when I need something done.

They were incredible here! I walked in about 8 in the morning with some unknown wiring problems and they fixed my trailer lighting system on my truck in less than half an hour. Hardly any waiting, and they did a great job. I spent two hours trying to figure it out the night before and these guys knew exactly what they were doing right away. They also showed me that it was working properly and how to check some things myself. Spillar was affordable too - something I’m always wary of when I get work done on my truck. Great job!

I recently purchased a ranchhand bumper for my SUV. I wish you wouldve been a lot more diligent in documenting the process. They installed the wrong bumper and told me that it was my fault. Never offering an apology or any admission. The older lady in the office wasnt very helpful and blamed me for their mistake.

Ill give this place credit were credit us due. They replaced an axle swapped out and repaired the backing plates on my dump trailers brakes fixxed the spring hangers that tampa springs in florida screwed me on. All for 600 labor that would have taken me a full days work doing it properly unlike what I did. Plus they threw in wielding me new chains greased and tightened bearings and went through and rewired the brakes and added new sidemarker lights which I didnt even ask for the extra work, but they threw it in anyway at a very good cost . THANKS GUYS!

Bad experience. Call in for quote for diesel transfer tank, 20’ of hose, an in line filter and an auto stop nozzle. I agree to a price of $15XX and arrange an appointment.After the installation I notice that the in line filter and auto stop nozzle aren’t installed and the incorrect length of hose was installed. I was told those parts had to be ordered and they apologized for the incomplete installation.I show up a few days later (today) for them to complete the installation. They bring it out front as “complete.” Still has the incorrect length of hose and the inline filter is installed incorrectly (sideways instead of vertical.)They take it back into the shop for another hour and tell me it’s complete and I’m ready to go. They spilled diesel over half of my bed, up the side walls and all over my tool box. They say “sorry, spilled a bit of diesel but we tried to wipe it off.” I’m furious.Throughout this process they had me put a deposit down then settle up after the install. I was originally quoted $15XX, then they tried charging me $17XX... awful experience. They also wanted additional money for the parts they had to order after the original installation... I asked if I was not clear with my original request and they agreed I was but they were busy that day and misordered the parts. Unbelievable.

Spiller custom hitches is easily accessible and they have plenty of parking. I unfortunately had a driver who celebrated their birthday a bit too much and drove into my trailer and did some serious damage. Unfortunately kept getting the run around from State Farm Insurance about them sending out some one to provide a inspection. Ended up taking to spiller and could not be happier, they toke care of the estimate while I waited and provided me documents for insurance. I would definitely recommend spiller custom hitches the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately not able to say that about State Farm Insurance.

Spent a little over 1000 for a hitch and some air bag suspension for my truck. When I received my hitch I saw that I either miss understood, or was missing a part to my hitch. Regardless the manager did not hesitate to resolve my concern immediately. I will return, thank you Spiller for your professionalism from beginning to end.

Ive had nothing but good luck with Spillar. The last time I needed some work on my trailer, they estimated about $200 and a couple of hours. The job took about 45 minutes and was only about $125, so you cant ask for much more than that.My only issue is sometimes having to wait in the lobby for someone to consult with but otherwise, these guys seem knowledgeable, honest and fair.

I’m sure these guys do a decent job if you have a specific contract in writing with them. Don’t cancel a job and expect any money back. We’ve been waiting for 3 weeks for a refund and they just suggested we get a lawyer if we would like our money.

Just bought a weight distribution hitch for my new travel trailer. Never owned either. The staff(Clark Jackson and Randy) were incredibly helpful and patient. Walked me through the set up and explained everything. Will never go anywhere else.

Ive been going Spillars for many years. Back when they were over on Congress next to Baskin Robins. They had a pretty unique location.Whether it was a hitch for my truck or boat or something for my car they had it or they could make it. They didnt pressure you into making a decision and would take time explaining things to you.It was good knowing there was someone around like these guys.I actually liked going over there because I felt comfortable that they knew what they were doing.

OK Austin neighbors, this place was awesome. I couldnt get travel trailer lights to work, but wanted to make sure the problem was not on the truck side. Sure enough, it was a blown fuse. It took a while for them to isolate the problem, but they did it, no appointment, and didnt even charge me. I will bring back ALL of my hitch needs.

Called Spellar due to problem I was having with my tow dolly. Talked to Terry James via phone. He said come in and he would check it out, at no charge. He showed me the correct way to strap it down.It totally corrected the problem with the dolly, which in turn helped relieve my stress level. Couldnt say thank you enough for your knowledge and kindness.

I had the pleasure of working with Jared on fabricating a hitch adapter for my grandmothers scooter carrier. He took the time to figure out what I needed and inform me of my options then had the adapter done in less than a day and shipped to me. It may not be obvious from the name (it was not to me) - but these folks can customize trailers any way you want them to! I brought in a 1997 Featherlite horse trailer - old style windows - no fancy drop downs in that year - that were just fine on the East Coast - but here in Texas - I needed better ventilation. Spillars - Kevin - did not hesitate to come up with some great ideas - that did not include a complete rebuild. They switched the doors, created locks to hold doors in open position while traveling - and custom fabricated bars! They drilled large holes in the head separation partition - to create even more ventilation and air flow. All of this was done for a very reasonable price - and done very well!!!! Thank you from me and my horses!!!!!!!!!

If I hadnt needed the hitch this week I would have gone elsewhere. When I called in to order my hitch, I spent 35-40 minutes on the phone with an unhelpful woman who was annoyed at every question I asked. I asked to schedule an appointment, she said wed have to wait until the part came in and that shed call me to reschedule. She never did. I had to call and spend another 20 minutes of my time catching them up with what Id ordered, etc. I asked for a total of the cost and was told $310. Actual cost: $335. They said it would take an hour. An hour and 20 minutes later, Im still waiting so I thought Id use that time to write this review. Apparently they are digging around for a lost bolt. Not very reassuring.Heres hoping the hitch works.Removed another star after waiting another 20 minutes. Still waiting.

Buyer beware. Know what you want and what they are providing.My receipt # is 89596. The service including repacking the bearings on one axel and replacing them on the other. That was in February 2015. I have put less than 1000 miles on the trailer and the bearings let loose last night 7/26 and the brakes failed 6/2015. I took the wheel off and assessed the damage. Not pinch of grease and the races were seized on. The spindle completely damaged by the bearing failure. Now I have to replace the axel. So I inspected the 3 other hubs, one was already seized, just enough grease to cover the bearings. The hub was empty. The right rear bearing had also a small amount of grease, the bearings were blued from heat. It is apparent they did not perform the service we paid for. I should have known by the wiring they did for me that this is not a quality shop. They will say and do what they can to get your money and usher you out the door. So disappointed, since they had been reviewed so high. Maybe I got a lazy tech but it is what it is and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.We tried to reason with the manager but he said we should have brought the trailer to him. However the trailer wasnt towable. Stupid logic on their part. Who would trust them again after this shoddy work. All we asked for was a refund. I am considering contacting a lawyer.
