I was shocked at how fast AMM completed the work on my 2006 Toyota 4-Runner (Replace headlight cluster and repair/paint hood dent) . When I dropped it off on a Tuesday morning my service representative told me it would be 2 or 3 days (I thought sure, I believe that). Thursday morning they called and said it was done and to come pick it up. Blew me away. Repair looked fantastic!

Although getting into a fender bender is never fun, I always know that I can trust my vehicle to AMM Collission (Menchaca location specifically). Over the years, Ive taken my vehicle there 3 times and every time has been wonderful! Highly recommend their shop if you need vehicle repair after an accident. Dropped my car off a week ago after a hit & run. These guys worked with Progressive so it made communication super simple for me. The day after I dropped my car off I was given a time estimate on how long it would take (10days). I got a call from Progressive with a detailed quote of all the pricing & AMM took care of the rest. Fortunately it only took a week! I can definitely recommend these guys. My car looks brand new & they also gave my car a wash which it desperately needed. Ill post the before & after photos below.

TLDR: We were quoted a 10 day turnaround time for hail damage repairs but it took 37 days. We received only one update/call from AMM Collision during that time. When we got the car back it had cosmetic damages.We sustained significant hail damage this spring and needed a new roof, a new windshield, and dent repair on the hood and sides of our car.We chose AMM Collision because our insurance company sent us to them for damage appraisal (a location near our home) and they had decent reviews. We were told to expect the repair to take 10 days and they said they would provide updates/communication every 2-3 days. They conveniently came and picked up our car from our home to drive it to the repair location in Menchaca 20 miles away.10 days later, we had heard nothing. We called for an update and they tell us its not ready yet, and were able to give no further details. We gave it another week, called again, same outcome. This went on for 5 weeks. They picked up the car on April 20th, and we didnt get it back until May 27th. During this time we received only one update from them, all other communication was initiated by us. When we asked questions, they didnt seem to know what stage of repair our car was currently in, and couldnt give us detailed answers.Eventually after many phone calls from us, they let us know that the windshield was on backorder and that was causing the delay. I dont fault them for that - backorders happen. But the lack of communication over an extended length of time is unprofessional. If they had told us that upfront, or called us once per week with an update, or could answer our questions when we called, it would have gone a long way.When the car was ready to pick up, they called to say come and get your car. So we hopped in the car and start heading down, and they call back: we havent received payment from your insurance company yet, you cant pick up until thats sorted out. Also understandable, but they had had 37 days to tell us this, and didnt mention it until we were already in the car trying to get to their location to finally get our car back before closing time.The next day when payment was sorted out we went to pick up our car. They have no weekend hours so we had to squeeze those 40 miles roundtrip in to a workday morning. The roof, hood, sides, and windshield looked good. Im no expert but I think it was a quality repair. The interior, however, had sustained a couple of cosmetic damages in their care. The chrome finish was chipping off my A/C knobs, and the inner surface of the sun visors were speckled with metal dust/shavings which have permanently stained the plastic. We brought the knobs to their attention before leaving their property and they told us that theyd put in an order for new knobs and have them shipped to a location closer to our home for a quick and convenient repair.2 weeks later we hadnt heard anything from them, so we called back to ask about the status of the knobs. They hadnt even ordered them. At this point we have given up. They are not timely and not communicative, and I would rather live with a small bit of cosmetic damage than continue to drag this out.We have another car with hail damage that needs repairs and we will not be taking it to AMM Collision.

Hit and run auto insurance claim: Awesome customer service from their entire staff. Everyone is very friendly, professional and personable. Their body, paint repair on my Mercedes Benz is top notch craftsmanship. My assigned staff repair Technician Lucas kept me updated throughout the process and does a detailed walk through at pick up explaining what was done. Jorge the main man in charge provided me detailed options for some additional work I requested. It was well worth getting it done at the same time. The entire body, paintand repair looks flawless. The cat converter of my car is stolen. I sent my car for repairing and it took only three days (comparing to two weeks in toyota service center). The technician are professional and friendly. I hope I dont need to come back again because of some parts are stolen. But, I will definitely recommend this garage.

Car looked good when I first looked at it, once I got time to actually check out the repairs I found lots of Bondo, cracks in the paint, unpainted parts that will rust very fast in the wheel well, giant fisheye in the paint, also had lots of paint overspray all over the glass and on my seats, luckily that was able to scrub off easily.

This is not the first time Ive used AMM. They are amazing! They completely worked with my insurance company and saved me a huge hassle there, David kept in touch with me the whole time my car was in the shop just to give me updates. My car (which had been carjacked and high-speed police chased and rammed into police cars) was returned to me in perfect condition. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I hope I never have need of a body shop again, but if I do it will definitely be AMM!!

The insurance company paid for them to assess the damages done to our van. The damage consisted of a small dent to the lower portion of the passenger door. They literally cut a large hole in the door and removed the handle, for what reason Ill never know. They removed a headlight as well as various other components, again, why Ill never know, and threw them in the rear of the van. They put the door back on the van because it was a perfectly usable and drivable vehicle, and though the insurance company had deemed it a loss with the mileage, it was my decision as the owner of the vehicle whether it was to be a salvage, junker, etc. They removed the glass from the door and put tape in place of the fully functional window that was previously there. They also discarded it so I had to go find a replacement... for something that was PERFECTLY FUNCTIONAL. They also discarded the passenger side mirror, again, for no good reason. They were not told to butcher my car, but rather to assess the damage for an insurance claim/evaluation. As I said, I drove in a perfectly functional car, save for a dent on the lower portion of the passenger side door. I picked up a car that was not only not road worthy, but in a far worse state of repair. Im at at a loss as far as understanding this business model, but its safe to say that Ill never return and will spread the word.

I would have given a 5 star rating because the customer service was excellent, the work to my car was excellent, my contact there was on top of my repairs and even finished a day earlier than promised.The only disturbing and unprofessional issue I had was finding out that one of the employees went through my car (thank goodness I had taken all valuables out) and used my own pad of paper to leave me a list of bible versus and a religious note. Not sure what message the person was trying to send to me, but felt it was not appropriate since I was there for body work to my car, not a message from God.Why and who does?

Highly recommended! We (unfortunately) had used this body shop twice and we were very satisfied with their services both times. In our last visit, they did a great job fixing the scratch of our car within a day, and charged us less than half of the estimate that was given by another local body shop. Moreover, they cleaned the car inside out, and even gave us rides between our home and the body shop.

Sent here by state farm to get an estimate was told by a tech they would have to disassemble to give an estimate signed a paper that I thought was for estimate was actually a repair form . I checked next business day to find out when I could pick it up and cant because they already started repair . This place is a shady place. Dont let them send you here for an estimate.

Took my Mercedes Benz that was involved in a hit in run and Freddie and George took care of me! I dropped it off on Friday and got it back by Thursday. They had to replace the front bumper and the grill and when I went to pick up my car it looked BRAND NEW! It probably looks better than before the accident happened. Freddie did an EXCELLENT and FANTASTIC job and he walked me through exactly what they did. 10/10 would recommend anyone to use this body shop not only for the wonderful service but for the friendly staff as well!

I had my car repaired here when a guy hit me from the rear trying to overtake but told a blatant lie that I had to get it fixed via my insurance. Given the situation and our error of not getting a rental car as part of the deal with our insurance, we asked for Cody who was handling our case to get the parts and then let us know to bring the car in. Once it was brought in, unfortunately, the parts were incorrect and Cody tried his level best to get everything done in a timely fashion and helped me throughout this ordeal especially understanding our situation. I really appreciate the support I received from Cody in AMM. Thank you.

It is almost comical but I have had 2 Geico insured drivers cause damage to my car over the last 3 years and on both accounts, I took the car to AMM Collision Center on Manchaca in South Austin as they are a preferred vendor of Geico. In both instances, the claims process was a breeze and the work done on the car was outstanding! They kept me up to date with text messages and everything was done within the estimated time frame. AMM Collision repaired my Toyota Corolla promptly, the body work was well done. I drove it home last Monday night and had no problems besides noticing that the check engine light was on. I blew it off because it turned off by the time I arrived home. When I took my daughter to school the next morning I heard a weird knocking/rattling sound and immediately took it back in. I was told that nothing could be done about it because when they test drove it it didn’t make the sound. I asked if I could record the sound and email it to them and he said yes. Same thing happened the next morning except along with the rattling my lights were flashing when I turned it on. I promptly emailed them about BOTH problems and did not hear back from them that day. Then on Friday I headed to work at 3:30 am with the same problems. When I stopped to get gas my car would not start after filling it up. I had to then push my car to a parking spot so that it wouldn’t be towed. I called my girlfriend for a ride back home. While waiting for the shop to open I finally received an email regarding only the sound, now they said that they could plug in a scanner and see what might be the problem. This was concerning because I had already been into the shop once for the same sound and was told that nothing else could be done unless they actually heard the sound. After my car sat for a few hours it started and I drove it myself to the shop to let them take another look at it. Upon arriving I told them to please take their time and let them know that i wouldn’t need it until Monday. I missed work on Friday and lost out on $250+ I’m a bartender at the airport and it’s one of my busier shifts. This was very frustrating because if they would have taken the time to plug the scanner in or read the email that I sent on Thursday I could have made arrangements to get a ride to work instead of getting stuck at the gas station that threatened to tow my car. So after a few hours I was told that the scanner detected a misfire from one of the cylinders in my engine and that my battery was dead which didn’t surprise me. They said that they didn’t know where the sound was coming from and that they couldn’t help me with the misfire but would replace my battery so I agreed. When I picked up my car they told me to take it to Toyota and let them take a look. I took it into Toyota and within a few hours they found the problem and corrected it. The heat shield was hitting the exhaust. I was told by AMM that it could be the air conditioner or due to the misfire which wasn’t even detected by Toyota! Toyota found no codes past or present. They advised me that possibly the gas tank got water in the line during repair and this would cause the check engine light to turn off and on. At this point I am very frustrated with AMM collision because if they had paid attention to detail they could have corrected the rattling sound before I even got the vehicle back and also if I had I prompt response to the email I sent on Thursday I wouldn’t have been stuck at the gas station and have to miss work. They could have plugged my car into the scanner when I took it in the first time instead of saying that there is nothing else that they can do about it. My car was in great condition before getting rear ended so having a combination for battery, engine misfire, and the rattling issues I was extremely frustrated when told none were related to the accident and that there was nothing that they could do about them. When I recieved my car back from AMM I assumed that a thorough inspection had been completed and that everything had been fixed. It took a week after receiving my car back from them to fix the problems that they couldn’t. I missed work and also spent hours dealing at Toyota and talking to my insurance company. This has been a huge headache that I feel could have been avoided had a little more time been spent on my car.

I recently took my wifes car here because someone hit her brand new 2 weeks cold car from behind while in traffic. It wasnt much damage and seemed like a fairly easy repair. When the guys down at AMM looked at it they said they could have it done that same day. I got a call later that day saying the car was complete and ready for pick up. When i arrived i looked at the rear bumper and the work looked great. I signed the paperwork and paid and was about to get in my car when i noticed a nick in my drivers side rear door. I asked the manager what happened to my door they replied, Oh that mustve been there before and you just hadnt seen it. You did bring the car in pretty dirty. Which is a lie because i had literally washed the car the night before taking it to them. They agreed to fix the door finally after some back and forth. I got a call the next day saying the car was ready to pick up again. I went over and looked at the door and it looked great! went to double-check the rear bumper and noticed the paint was cracking and there was some debris in the paint that i had missed. I told them that they needed to re-do the bumper to fix it. I got a call the next day saying the car was complete and they had triple checked everything. I went to pick it up the next day and the car looked great.I just dont understand why AMM wasnt more careful with customer vehicles. Now my brand new car not only has body work done because of the accident but both drivers side doors are painted. Bottom line is they messed up my brand new car, and they initially did a shotty job on the repair until I brought it to their attention.I will not be returning to any AMM or shops affiliated with them again.I gave them 2 stars for finally getting the job right (third times the charm I guess) and for trying to blame me for the ding on the door.

This is the third edit Ive made to this post; Ive left the previous two versions for historical context, but the gist is: these guys are the real world example that makes for the stereotype of the mechanic who is just out to rip you off. As you can read below, five months ago the manager agreed to pay for the rental car I had to take out because it took them almost a month to replace the bumper on the Mini Cooper I brought in to them.Unfortunately, I have yet to see a dime of the more than $400 they owe me. Ive gone back and forth over the phone and via emails with various people who work there and there has never been a resolution. In addition, the car seat was wobbly and didnt sit right in the rails anymore and they tried to tell me that there was nothing they could do about that. If you want your car serviced properly, do not go to AMM Collision Center.2.Ive bumped them up by two stars, because their manager offered to pay for the rental car Ill be needing for the next few days, which made me feel a bit better about the delay. Ill edit this again once I see the finished product so that I can fully assess their service. Below in quotes is my original, angry review; I felt I should leave it for now for historical accuracy.1. Everyone there is very friendly...unfortunately that means nothing if they cant get your car fixed. My 2006 Mini has been in there shop for 2 1/2 weeks now, and I just got off the phone with them and have gotten my 6th (no exaggeration) different completion date. Up until last week their excuse was that parts were hard to find, which is reasonable, but last Friday I was told they have everything and just need to assemble it. It is now 6 days later and they still dont know when it will be completed.Unless you have a backup and dont really need your car, go somewhere else.

Unfortunately their quality control is either non-existent or severely lacking. I had to return numerous times for things: tailgate rattle, bumper pad not replaced, missing clips, etc., just sloppy fast work. Dissapointed as a previous repair years ago was top notch. Regardless of their work load, in this instance, QC could have been much better which resulted in multiple trips and wasted time. To their credit, they did take care of my concerns but the consumer should not have to do all of the QC!

These guys are very professional, and provided me the best customer service experience of my life! I had my car serviced here after a hit and run. They body work was great, but I ended up needing to get warranty service for a bad airbag sensor. Codie and his team went above and beyond to resolve my warranty work. The problem was resolved, my car was detailed, they fixed another small issue (on the house) and delivered my car to my job for convenience. On top of all that the business manager, George, gave me a ride to work in his own vehicle when I dropped off my car so I didnt have to wait on one of the porters to return. I have no problem recommending this business, and will use them as long as I live in Austin!

Came here after an accident. My back windshield wiper got installed upside down which they all thought was funny. The quality of the finished product feels cheap, the back doesn’t open all the way and overall I don’t recommend.

FOLLOW-UP RESPONSE TO OWNER: This is an extension to my review that was posted previously as I ran out of characters. Toyota AutoNation did not take care of everything and in response to the shop owner that is wrong. Toyota of Cedar Park reviewed and notified me and this shop was sent a video of exactly what it was and it was a loose part that became unsecured near the side I was originally hit. In regards to the screw in the tire, I had tire warranty but the individual who drove up my car to Toyota AutoNation dealership did not contact me as agreed upon when he got there and I only found out my tires were patched after. I had to do all the work and hunting down for the proper people. By the time, I let AutoNation know it was too late because I find out the technician from AMM had already fixed the patch and left the shop. So obviously that is on the shop for lack of communication. Dont believe me? Read the past reviews on here because many have noted they need to do better on communication.I actually have tire warranty and I could have saved SO much time had they just communicated and called me as agreed upon and fixed it then. Now I am going to my own dealership DRIVING 1 HOUR there and back to get issues that were not there pre-collision, after collision, and even up until the point of them doing their work to fix the patch on my tire for the screw. Toyota of Cedar Park resolved the noise issue immediately as well as reminded me know about my warranty and will replace it for free as I thought and knew I had. This has been such an abysmal experience, safety was compromised, excuses made, and no ownership. Everyone has been forewarned. If I have to eat this loss for the Ubers and Lyfts not being compensated as I was left without a vehicle for the extra time that my vehicle was out of the shop then so be it. But I think the fact that this shop is willing to compromise morales after being told multiple times it just reflects more negatively on them in the long-run and I hope that they would be held accountable, which I believe that will happen over time.Sincerely, an honest transparent review. I have everything in documentation so if it really has to go there we can because I have evidence and proof to back-up my words. I have call-logs, paperwork, and everything so would be more to happy to bring this to the public eye attention as well since people deserve the truth.

I thought its place was pretty good til the fact that they do not honor their life time warranty. I made an appointment to get my car looked at cause it started making a knocking sound. Which I think is a bushing going out. Which if it was changed out during the work that was done year and half. It shouldnt be going out. So I get to Amm and the guy drives with me around to see if it makes the noise. Of course it doesnt. So hes looking at my car and starts pointing out ever scratch on my car and says thats why it could be making the noise. I was like what? I was like you have to take it apart and look at it. He was like I dont have time and keeps going around and around with me. I was like let me talk to the manager. He gets there and tell the guy to drive it again see if makes the noise of course it doesnt. So the shop manager recommends me to take it to another shop and see what the problem is then come back and Amm will see if the insurance company will cover the repair. Im like first of all Im not saying its something that you didnt fix. Im saying its something you did fix but is failed cause of either you guys added a old part that should have been replaced. Well they said they couldnt help and sent me on my way. The manager was suppose to call me back and never did. I mean really take it to another shop. Wow what kind of warranty do you actually cover? I just want everyone to know is their warranty means nothing to them they treat you like crap. Be careful with these guys.

They were unable to repair my car after 3 tries, they left parts on the roof, trim on the floor and reused parts with visible damage. It was clear they didnt have the expertise to complete the job. Insurance adjuster found over $600 worth of repairs still to be done, this was after they told me it was ready to go (twice). I was going to let it go but received a letter in the mail today saying they always watch out for my best interest. I will never, NEVER go to these guys again. I had used them twice in the past with no problems but am putting this out there to save other people the headache. Consider yourself warned.
