I love just looking at labels, so I was super happy. (So was my graphic designer spouse.) The draft offerings were awesome, and it is stout and porter season so theyre going to get five stars from me! Ill definitely be back! Super friendly bartender on Monday night.

All the employees were super friendly. I was asked several times if I was finding what I needed. The environment is really fun. Their beer choices were amazing. Prices are very reasonable. It was fun getting a beer on tap and checking out the food court too. Will definitely be making the trip from Chattanooga again!

Absolutely mind-blowing selection of craft beers and beyond. They also have an incredibly good and large wine selection too. Never seen so many craft beers in one place! Love it!

Had an amazing experience with the bartender when I went tonight. He was super helpful and friendly. I mentioned that I recently moved here and was looking for new local breweries and he recommended a couple that were know for their sours (my favorite beer). And the sour I had was fantastic!

Excellent and excellently-priced local and craft beers from all over GA and the South. The shop itself is extensive with lots of beers of all types as well as wines and meads. The bar has a ton of options on draught and really friendly service. Beers will run you $6 or so. Wish the menu were a little bigger but thats my only literal complaint!

Such amazing selection but unfortunately beers are left at room temperature and quality is severely affected. Especially for hoppy beers. I purchased many beers without inspecting the canned on date, once I was home I found most of them to be malted out:/

Hop City always delivers on selection and variety. I love you can buy singles, as its a great way to try new beers without feeling the regret of paying $18-$24 on a 4-pack of disappointment. The tap rotation and selection is also a good way to try before you buy.

The girl working today was so helpful! She helped me build 2 (4-pack) of bottled beer and a 4-pack of canned beer as a gift! She had so many great suggestions and was literally so helpful! I have her a list of 3-4 types of beers my husband likes and she built the packs for me:-) wish I knew her name! She was great!

I made the drive from winder GA, in search of libations I cannot aquire in my area. And was majorly let down.1st. Good luck with parkingSecondly this place is small, super small. Their cold selection is minimal. Also their arrangement of beer is by style not by brewer, so you have to wonder the store to find what your looking for. Also if your vertically challenged, good luck getting those warm singles from the top shelf. Also I made a attempt to get a growler..no luck.. I stood their 10mins reading the board and nobody offered assistance. Finally I couldnt walk this small store with out a employee spying on me, trust me I was paying attention, like I was gonna steal something..Finally... I will not be returning and highly advise others not to go as well. If your looking for a great selection or beer Jax in buford off friendship road has the BEST selection of beers. I have found this out the hard way in my search for beer..

Excellent staff, great selection of beer, wine, cider and helpfully organized within the store. They will sell any beer individually (and are happy to split up 6 packs). They have a machine that cools cans/bottles in 3 minutes!

Very nice bar with tons of beer options. They literally have a few choices of each type of beer from all over the place and lots of locals. The bartender we had was such a nice guy and was so knowledgeable (we feel bad that we cant remember his name but he had a beard, worked there for 2.5 years, did the Monday morning shifts). He made the night nice. Comfy seats too. Plus they let you eat other food at the bar. Wed go here again in a heartbeat. We only got to go into the store briefly but it was well stocked, clean, and reasonably priced. Plus the guys in there were helpful and friendly too. If we had more time we would have spent it in there. Thanks for a great experience overall there!

Great bar in Krog Street Market. They have a huge tap selection (60 taps!) with great beers from all over the country and many local beers as well. The prices are $8-$10/beer.They also have a bottle shop that sells tons of beers and some good wine. They fill growlers in the back!

They have a really nice selection of local and domestic craft beers. You can pretty much find anything you want. I really like this place because they sell a lot of single cans, which is nice if you want to try a can for $4 instead of dropping $15-$20 on a 4-6pack and hope it tastes good. This is the main reason I come here, also they get all the special releases from places like Creature Comforts, Pontoon, Atlanta, Wild heaven etc

Im not really a beer drinker but I like learning about different things. David at the bar was extremely patient and accommodating with all my questions. David let me taste quite a few of the beers they have on tap until we found one I liked. Justin is really friendly as well and easy to talk to. The vibe here is cool and they have 60 beers on tap. Hop City has liquor and pretty creative cocktails as well... just a really chill place would definitely go back

Was looking for a hard to find beer from a small brewery and Hop City had what I needed and then some! Wow what a unique selection! Employees know exactly where everything is in the store. Awesome staff great location!

Service was good, but I will always review 1 star for a bar or taphouse which charges for water for the designated driver if I get a beer. Not bottled water, but charging for the plastic cup.

This is a great bar that does so much to improve Krog as a whole. They have a ton of beers to choose from and they are constantly rotating what they have on tap. Super friendly staff that is more than willing to chat beer when they are not swamped. Their beer store attached is great too and we always walk out with new beers.

Seriously if you want to figure out what locals are worth buying, check the draft list, get a bunch of tasters and figure it out. You can’t beat that kind of operation! And when you find a winner, buy a full pint or two and enjoy! We stop here always before a Rathbuns night. Can’t beat the selection!

I went in looking for sours and I was overwhelmed by their amazing selection. I’ve never seen so many craft beers in one place. It was great! Sam helped us out and recommended tons of sours to try along with others. I left with some sours and different types of brews (all thanks to Sam!!). It was great customer service!! 10/10 will go back again

Horrible service... they were showing stuff on there phones instead serving a huge line of customers waited ten minutes and no one was in front of me.

Fantastic wine and beer selection from many regions around the globe. This is not Total Wine, but carefully curated selection of beer and wine with some sake and cider as well. They asks have more than 10 beers on tap and you can get growler fills to take home and enjoy. I think that their pricing may run a little higher than other places, but overall a terrific store.

Several stouts and porters to fortify your iron poor blood. Huge number of beers on tap - lots of local varieties. Very well priced. Enjoy some of the brews with the excellent food in the shops next to the bar (try Freds cheese steak!). Great atmosphere with dynamic crowd.

Great little bar next to a market full of great food. 60 brews on tap and it backs up to a bottleshop full of a diverse selection of brews. Strongly recommend this bar for a quick brew and bite.

Incredible selection and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Stocked with all the great local micros and some really wonderful hard to find imports too. There is also a solid wine selection. The bar on the inside of the market lets you wander around with a pint. You can also purchase growlers up to 64+ ounces that you can keep bringing back. Wonderful!

Had beer at the Krog Street Market. My credit card was charged for the correct amount. However, the server behind the bar added 50% tip without my approval. This was done after I left the bar. This amount was not shown on my sales slip.

They also will give you a small sample of beer to taste so you dont have to commit to a whole beer that you might not like.The selection in the adjacent store is great too.Helpful employees both at the bar and in the store. Couldnt ask for better!

Great selection and very knowledgeable employees. They know whats good and exactly where to find it on their shelves. Prices are a little high but they probably have to be to afford that space.

Avoid the bar tender (the guy with the long beard), he is very rude and unprofessional. He does not know anything about beer. If you ask him a question he will tell you “we have 60 types of beer here, I don’t know which one to give you”!!!! I did not have a good experience and would not go there again! There are much nicer bars in that area with more knowledgeable and friendlier staff!

One of the best beer bar experiences in the city. Huge selection, plenty of breathing room, and a lot of the stuff on the taplist can also be purchased to go from the attached retail store. Its the perfect spot for a visitor but also keeps the locals coming back.

Best bottle/can beer selection in town in my opinion but is hard to get to as there is rarely free parking.

Get ready to choose from an amazing selection of beers. They have so many beers it almost overwhelming but the staff is very helpful in letting you give them a try. Its a fun environment in Krog Market as you can walk around with your beer also. I can wait have another day drunk session with friends at Hop City.

Theyve got one of the best beer selections in the city, but I go here begrudgingly. Their prices are easily 20%-30% higher than the other package stores I go to. The only reason I go there is for beers I cant find at other stores (essentially only stuff from Liberator distributing). Otherwise, its just not worth it.

The beer store there is great. Always a huge selection of cold beer and beers you wouldnt find anywhere else. The bar in Krog street is always great too. They always have tons and tons of beers on tap.

Doesnt get much better than hop city! The taps in the corridor of KSM are an incredible part of the overall experience in the market itself. Mina in particular at Hop City really knows her stuff and is always happy to help. Great staff, knowledgeable and friendly.

Tried a mead for the first time here today. Rather sweet and crisp. Good and fast service.

The good: cool place, great venue and place to hang out and people watch, lots of great beers including many locals. The bad: On my first visit the bartenders tended to meander around and let me sit at the bar for quite a while before I finally decided to wave my hands in the air to get ones attention. And one bartender always picked up the glasses for pour with a couple fingers on the inside of the glass. Thats unsanitary and unprofessional. The glass rinse doesnt mitigate that, either. Ill give it another shot and see if service improves.

Poor customer service. I asked for a cup of ice and one of the bartenders declined, simply stating Im saying this in the nicest possible way but Im too busy right now, I suggest you go elsewhere. Rude and unprofessional. Never again.

Waited and waited for the two bartenders to take my order. One was talking it up, while the female bartender was drinking beer samples while offering beer samples.

Beer pouring folks at the bar aren’t that friendly. They seem parsimonious with the tastings and have limited input on recommendations. Go for the coolers/shelves, not for the personalities.

Since the beer menu at the bar was moved from the chalk board on the wall, where it was sorted by location of origin, to an electronic menu behind the bar where the print is smaller and the selection is sorted by type, Ive found it far more difficult to read and choose a good beer. There also appear to be less local beers on tap than before. The store is still great, but I no longer recommend the bar to friends.

Atlanta has no shortage of great selections. Great place if you want to hear your servers discuss their woes in the healthcare market interrupted only by curt, bordering-on-rude service. High reviews tend to reflect more of the fact that the location (Krog St.) is cool.

This place has EVERYTHING you could ask for. Seriously, nice staff, lots of wine and most importantly LOADS of BEER. They even sell singles at the front which is a great way to get a taste before you buy a 6pack.

This is a great bar and package store. It also has the advantage of being in krog street market. One stop shopping.

As much as we love checking our breweries, I’D RATHER GO HERE FOR BEER in the future- especially since hours are longer and you can’t beat the quality of food nearby. Hop City is one of dozens of SMALL BUSINESSES INSIDE KROG STREET MARKET yet features a HUGE SELECTION OF LOCAL BREWS—and crazy good prices. Flights are also available (in whatever number you want). As a gluten-allergic person I was happy to see local CRAFT SODAS, NITRO COFFEE AND CIDERS also available… on tap!

Utilized Hop City during dinner in the market. They have a huge range on tap, all of which was or seemed quite good. The prices range too, and are in many instances lower than the average cost for beer in the city.

They have a wide selection of craft beer and wine. only a small number of the offerings are refrigerated, however. so, if youre planning on drinking that elusive craft rarity youre looking for, you better alott some time to chill that beverage. staff was over the top friendly.

Visiting from out of town and enjoyed grabbing beer to go in growler and perusing a very solid bottle selection. Staff were friendly and helpful in helping me get a lay of the land on local craft beer.
