Parts are excellent quality, customer service not so..Ordered a light bulb for my pickup truck based on their website bulb selector guide and when I received the bulb it was the wrong part. Well though they offered to exchange the part, The retrofit source expected me to buy the return label. Bad customer service especially when it was an error on their website’s part. Ordered a few items including entire HID projector retrofits through them over the years and will definitely not be ordering from them again. Amazon carries most if not all their light bulbs at the same price and offers free returns.

These guys are great. They discontinued the projectors i wanted right before ordering but agreed to sell me their last few sets at a discounted price. The projectors worked out perfect for my set up and retrofit helped me through out the whole process.

Visited their showroom shortly after Christmas 2018 to pick up some parts I needed for a Dodge Ram Mini H1 Retrofit. I was in and out in less than ten minutes with all the parts I needed. Customer service was excellent and the gentlemen I spoke with (name unknown, unfortunately) was EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He gave me some great install and alignment tips! The quality of the parts were astounding to me. The Mopar harness was of unrivaled quality and worked seamlessly. Really made the retrofit easy. Everything turned out great and I have been trying to convince everyone to retrofit their headlights after seeing the difference.

I have bought several things from TRS and the quality is always top notch. The last set of headlights that I bought for my 2020 RAM 3500 I did end up having two issues with them at separate times but both times the customer service was great and my issues were resolved quickly. Thanks again TRS!

These guys are the best at automotive lighting. People from around the world order from these guys and its well deserved. I walked in and the guy was very informative. He helped me with all of my issues and included some spare parts for me which I didnt expect to need but when I got down to it I really did.The previous owner of my vehicle never installed locking rings on the projector housings and when I took off my hid bulb my projector just fell through. Luckily I looked in my box and the guy had supplied me with spares!They really do care and are experts in their field. Im just glad that they are located locally in Atlanta for me.

I purchased a set of bulbs in Dec of 2018 and one of the bulbs recently began to fail. I sent an email to the support dept and within minutes I received a response and the bulb was covered under warranty with NO HASSEL. Great customer service and great guys that stand behind their products!!!

Purchased morimoto mini H1s to do a retrofit on my 13 Hyundai accent. Retrofit was not the easiest but pretty straight forward. Quality was top notch and the cut off line, flicker, and light output is amazing!!!! I will never own another car without a bixenon retrofit ever!!!!

I purchased the Morimoto F150 XB headlamps during the Pre-order. Received them today and installed them, the installation went very smooth and the headlights are beyond exceptional. The quality actually seems better than the stock OEM and they look amazing, the DRL in white is incredible and gives my F150 a whole new look. Customer Service was exceptional, product exceptional, installation was easy, I cant say enough about how much I already love these lights.

Fit and finish are perfect. Great output. The install was straightforward and worked like OEM. The option to disable sequential turn signals is excellent too. Not sure why anyone would though. They look awesome.

I called the Atlanta phone line tech assist on Monday November 23 at 12:20pm. I held for 28 minutes while listing to the same on hold RAP song over and over and over and then gave up. Very impressed with website and YouTube videos, however I do not wait this long to spend my money with anyone. Maybe management needs to get on the phones, something is wrong.

I ordered a few adapters to complete a headlight conversion that I did, Product came in in a reasonable delay, very well packaged. Product quality is very nice. I recommend sending them a message on their facebook page if you have any inquiries or a question, the service is excellent and they provide a fast response!

Deformed lens on Morimoto D2S square projector. This appeared to be a manufacturing / casting issue on their new revision. It happens, thats what returns are for, and I elected for my standard round kit. Customer support was terrible. No update to ticket, had to call after 2 business days elapsed. Upon call, despite no ticket update, I was informed that techs looked and told me deformation was normal. I asked why their stock images to not reflect deformation. No response. Had to pay return shipping. Upon asking to reference my past orders, they could not locate any. Good to know if any of my customers wants a warranty return, as my records are more comprehensive then theirs. The company was just bought out, and could not expedite a replacement. They would be moving warehouse for 3 business days. Ive shifted my ordering to HID Kit Pros. Same prices, same (better?) product, and cheaper shipping. Their team expedited shipment within 2 hours, and I had my replacements in 2 days. Customer service is everything!

The Retrofit Source filters reviews on their product pages, so beware that youll only see the positive ones show, not a single negative one.Just like this other customer, I wrote a fair and honest (but negative) review of a product to inform other customers, and they simply did not publish the review. So they have forced me to post here where they arent filtered.The Morimoto Motocontrol harnesses use cheap connectors with gaskets that are not properly sized to the ga of wire, so they have big gaping holes for moisture to enter, and cause corrosion. Ive had two sets of these harnesses fail on me now, and both times I lost my headlights entirely. Super super dangerous, and extremely lucky I had a full wiring kit with me, so I could custom hardwire the ballasts straight to the battery to regain my low beams for the ~2hr drive back into reception. If I didnt have this with me, itd have been an overnight on the side of a winter road in -25C... and major lawsuit territory if the failure had caused an accident.The worst part? This is a well known failure point, and hasnt been corrected for over 4 years now. When asked, TRS denies this being an issue at all, and this was the reply: (unacceptable reasoning, just fix the damn issue like any reputable manufacturer would have done within a few months)There are no plans to change or redesign the wiring harness at this point, so any that you order will continue to be exactly the same.Aside from filling all the open/exposed electrical contacts with dielectric grease to further keep water out, theres not much else that can be suggested.Photos: First two are a brand new harness in Oct 2018 showing the gaping holes in the gaskets, the other photos are of the corrosion on the contacts that this flaw allows to occur with moisture sitting in the connectors.

When I got my package it was high quality products one of the best well packaged ive ever seen and the halo rings were really high quality too with all the other stuff that came with my H1 projector system

I’ve shopped all over for upgrades headlights with no luck at all, buying and returning and bickering with sellers. Came across the guys at TRS and BAM!!! First try and we’re in business. EDIT: called to get my replacement warrantied parts sent out and they were very helpful and quick to get them out the door.Customer service is great just frustrated with morimoto products in general. Shouldn’t have to buy two sets just to have a backup in case this happens. Unreliable ballasts but build quality of all of their stuff is top notch.Disappointed with the specific setup, had for a year and so far the igniters melted, and then one of the ballasts crapped out. It’s specifically wired for the hids so I can’t even use halogen when I wait to hear if morimoto will cover.Set was sold and put together by a retrofit rep.

My parts are already out for delivery within 4 days of ordering even during this pandemic! I incorrectly entered some information during the ordering process and they gladly fixed it the next day! Their customer service is great and quick to respond. I would definitely buy from them again 👍

I have been eyeing some new LED headlights for my truck for about 6 months now and found them at a reduced price at a competitors site. Having worked with The Retrofit Source for my tail lights, I wanted to pass my business their way this time too, but their price was higher. I passed on the price I had found and asked if they were willing to match...Jay did much better than that. He gave me the option of a discount and free matching LED fog lights, or a larger discount for the headlights alone. I ended up getting a better deal than the lowest price on the market and free 3-day shipping. Im super pumped with these guys and encourage you to give them a call or email...you wont be disappointed!

I tried to post an honest review of my experience with their morimoto D3S bulbs, but they apparently want to block any negative reviews. That dishonesty is even worse than the bulbs were in my opinion. This place used to be reputable, but apparently going big time has started ruining that for both the business and the owner.Here is the exact review I attempted to place on their bulbs (which originally was 2 stars)Unfortunately after being a morimoto customer for years I have to say I cant recommend these bulbs.The first pair I got for my 14 Charger had the hot spots significantly lower and to the left of the original osram bulbs. I reseated them multiple times and tried them in a pair of acme projectors that I bought from trs, and had the same exact result.Trs sent out a second set of the bulbs and I had the same exact issue with those. While trs had no problems sending replacements and ultimately giving me credit towards some new osram bulbs (which line up fine in all of my projectors), they dont seem interested in figuring out why I got two sets of defective bulbs.I used to trust and recommend morimoto bulbs, but after this I just cant anymore.

Great customer service. I bought the 2stroke 1.0 LED lights 3 years ago from TRS. Unfortunately after a couple months they both had problems and went out; must’ve been a defective pair that got sent, it happens. They quickly sent me a replacement pair and those were great. About a week ago one of the bulbs went out on me and I emailed customer service to see if anything could be done. Turns out my warranty was up but they sent me a replacement pair anyways and even upgraded to the 2stroke 2.0’s. Awesome customer service & great company. Will always get my lights from them.

I purchases xenon HID upgrade kit for my 2017 Kia Sorento & they delivered very timely & the kit fit great. I did have a dim lamp straight out of the box & I contacted them & they promptly sent me a replacement lamp which work great. They made the exchange process supper easy, I just had a to send an email with a picture of the defective lamp that they wanted disabled in a certain way. After that case closed. I highly recommend.

The design of the website lets you put together the exact kit you need, and lists compatabilities right then and there for you, eliminating the dreaded hunt for parts with 100 tabs open that youre used to. The quality of everything I received was excellent, with wonderfully thought-out packaging. Everything came in one box, making it trivial to move things between my workstation and my garage.I ordered parts for a full HID projector retrofit with some LED accents, and Ive had no issues with the new parts. Ive been running the new system for about 4 months now and I love it!Already convinced a buddy with his own project car to use The Retrofit Source for his lighting needs, once he gets to that stage.

I ordered a HID harness online and was able to pick it up at the store 2 days later. I chatted with someone on their website and they were very responsive and helpful. The harness was of great quality compared to others and the pricing was competitive. Will be using them again.

Ordered the acme h1 super retrofit kit for my 01 f150 xlt super-crew. It came within the allotted shipping time and the install was straight forward and the equipment works great. The projectors are a 200% improvement to the original headlights, and are actually better than the stock projector on some of the new (2016+) vehicles and the kit that I ordered was the most basic kit they offer. I have no doubt that the higher end kits are leaps and bounds above the rest.

I wish I would have read these reviews before I purchased. Sub par customer service and I just hope my parts all work if I ever receive them. Glad that I choose to pay for fast shipping. At least they told me that they wish there was something they could do, that made it all better. Beware and good luck if you choose to do business with them.

Good luck getting them to answer the phone or call back. Paid for 2 day shipping, 3 days later they still hadnt shipped anything. I ordered both the HID kit for 2014+ GMC Sierra as well as the XB LED fogs, the products are excellent quality and the install was very straight forward. Around a year later I had an issue with a HID Ballast not always firing. Jaylen at customer service was fantastic to deal with, they helped me diagnose the issue and got a replacement part sent out ASAP. Even waived the shipping fee. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I orders some switchback bulbs for my pickup, I installed them on a Sunday night both working fine, Monday night rolled around and I was leaving for work and walk towards the front to take a picture and noticed one was out. I went through checking to see what it was..cake back to be the bulb..I tried contacting this company for a replacement or find out what can be done, took them several days to respond! We emailed back and forth for a couple days, they wanted my address for shipment and I’ve heard nothing back since!!! NO REPLACEMENT!!! Now they won’t even email me back...$45 a bulb and lasted less then 24 hrs....I gave up on this company and went with someone else!!! Satisfied with the same product and half the price!!!

The lights are great but the customer service is terrible. I emailed them 11 days ago and have not received a response. I paid $95 for next business day shipping, because both of my headlights went out, and it took 4 days to get to me. That seems ridiculous to pay that much and have it take 4 days.Update: They finally contacted me and refunded the shipping 14 days after the email.

Came to Atlanta to visit family all the way from Michigan. I had a defective fog light and thought I would go and stop by and see if they can help me out. After checking my ticket number they returned with my part in minutes. Was a great visit and got great customer service by a gentleman named Nate. The showroom was very cool as well. I had a set of TRS HID systems in my custom lights a couple years ago. Since then I got a new vehicle and was trying to find he cheap choice from amazon before realizing you cannot replace quality and performed, or customer service with a $$ amount. After getting my HID system you can immediately understand their worth due to quality of manufacturing and performance. Great product and well worth the money!

A++ for this company. I recently completed an online order for an HID kit. I ended up ordering an incorrect optional part for my car. I called into their office and it was THE MOST hassle free RMA/exchange Ive ever dealt with. The representative was extremely friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend doing business with them! Great customer service and product support! My 2 year Morimoto Halogen to HID projector conversion lights failed while out of town. Fortunately I had my original H11 halogen bulbs in the vehicle and in 5 minutes had them back in the projectors and working. I emailed TRS (it was a weekend) and they sent me a couple diagnostic videos Monday morning. I email back that it looked like the ballast died, they sent me a new Ballast and igniter free of charge (including free shipping). I Installed them & the HID lights are working again. I couldnt ask for customer service or support!

Read thru these reviews carefully as they tell the true story. If your product works-good for you, but if you have issues youre out of luck. They do not stand behind the product if theres an issue (again read their reviews). We have had two kits we basically had to eat and switch the customer into other brands in order to provide our customer with the service they deserve. Both of these kits failed in very short order ( one bad out of the box). Good luck if you buy from them- youll need it.

Purchased a HID kit that had a few issues. Attempts to process a warranty claim is like pulling teeth. I am sure tech support is great, but the warranty / return process is the worst I have ever experienced. Even if you can get it done, any money you are owed will take like 2 weeks to get back for some reason. My suggestion is if you need to do a warranty claim for a simple part, just buy the part you need from Amazon and get it the next day vs spending a week discussing it with them and more weeks waiting to get your money back.

After years of dealing with sketchy cheap automotive lighting companies, I am very glad I ran into the retrofit source. I purchased a morimoto HID kit for my 2014 GMC Sierra a couple of years ago. The product was great and buying it was even easier it came in very nice packaging and easy instructions to follow. Recently one of my ballasts stopped working and the warranty department at the retrofit source was a no-questions-asked five star experience.
