Been going here since I was a tween and I always find something I enjoy in here. Love looking through the posters and obscure magazines they sometimes have. My only critique is I wish they had more action figures, but I’m sure that’s another shortage going on right now. Love the selection of Gundam and Godzilla memorabilia. The staff are very knowledgeable and have great recommendations.

An absolute delight. The store is stocked FULL of new releases and older editions for low prices. Not only is their inventory expansive, the staff knows about the current runs and can help you find a new story to start. Plus, the staff is beyond kind and wants this place to be a safe space for their patrons to experience new worlds and grow their understanding of humanity. Love this shop!

Great Customer service and great selection. Accidentally, walked in when they were closing.They still let me browse and even gave me a recommendation on The Last God. Great recommendation!

Decent back stock and new comic selection, some storage supplies, sets, bargain bins, and trades. Store is well maintained and clean and I found the staff friendly enough, they said hello and let me continue to browse. Comic prices are hit and miss depending on what youre looking for and I still found some goodies. Storage supply prices were great considering everyone else is having to raise prices currently. Hope they are able to move in to a larger space one day. Worth the visit.

Honestly my favorite comic book shop. Great selection of independent titles and not just dc/marvel stuff. Dont worry they have them in abundance also.

I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago. My kids and I had the best time in this shop. The lady behind the desk was amazing and help us out with any questions we had. Everytime I turned around I was finding new books I wanted. My kids found a lot of great books as well. I would recommend this shop to anyone in Ashville or even just driving through Ashville!!!

I really like this shop. They seem to have something for everyone. The person working in the store greeted me as soon as I entered and I felt very comfortable browsing. I felt that I could ask for assistance if needed but otherwise was allowed to browse in privacy.

Darren and Vicky are the best! Without their customer service I wouldnt have half the Transformers I have purchased in last five years. I will follow and be loyal for as long as they have the doors open, Comic Envy takes care of all comic book and collectible needs! Thank again Darren and Nicky!

Although they didnt have the particular issue of Rom, that I needed to complete the collection. They did offer me the set and the shopkeeper was super friendly. Ill stop in again on my next trip to Asheville.

As a comic book neophyte, it can be a bit overwhelming going into a shop without knowing what to look for. This shop is accessible while having an offering that I’d imagine would satisfy any level of interest, and the owner is helpful and kind.

Husband and I enjoy visiting local comic shops during our travels and Comic Envy did not disappoint. This shop is very well organized and I found it easy to locate back issues I have been in search of for months. People were pleasant enough but not very personable. Husband and I would still return if were ever in the area.

I never post reviews really, but this place is the best!!! I have been visiting for years and the inventory and staff are always the best! Only twice in the half decade have they not had what I was looking for and they ordered one and the other was no longer in print.. I appreciate the owners knowledge of my two favorite subjects (Batman and Godzilla) and hope they are around for years to come! we stars if possible!

Nice shop with lots of reasonably priced back issues from many eras and genres. Normally I dont find anything from my want list, but found a handful and saw some things that i need to look at holes in my runs before i come back to the area.

Best comic shop in town! Very knowledgeable and bend over backwards to help their customers out. Out of the 4 or 5 other competitors I always go to Comic Envy. When I walk in they know my name and any request I make they make it happen. I could hangout in there for hours just chatting. I come from the vinyl collecting world and most of the time there is a distance from the workers/owners and the patrons and I can say that this place is more than a shop its part of the community and its organic. Highly recommended if your in Asheville!

The store is clean and well lit, which is pretty noteworthy for comic shops. The employees were nice but not particularly friendly or helpful. If you want to be left alone to browse, this place would be ideal. The print selection is great but the selections for other things could be better. Overall not a bad shop, but not one I would come back to unless I needed a specific graphic novel or issue.

Ryle, Allison, and Charlie are just the best. I have been going to Comic Envy for last 6 years and love every trip. My son and daughter jump in the car when they know I am heading there. They have a wide selection of comics and other collectables. The staff is friendly, eager to help, and has a wide knowledge of the material in case you have questions. I would gladly return to make more purchases in the future.

Went for the first time today to just check it out and was blown away. It was a quaint shop with an amazing selection. I made small talk with the employee about one of my favorite comics and she had extensive knowledge of not only Marvel comics but of my favorite character. I will definitely be going back and they will be getting my repeat business! Keep up the good work you guys!!!

One of my favorite shops any where. I always try and stop by when Im coming through. Great selection of back issues as well as collected editions. Very nice array of new comics as well. Their silver age section is okay, and with no real board to speak of it isnt really the place for older keys. BUT that is my only complaint. The lady that was working was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to talk shop with.

Comic Envy is the best comic book store and they have so much more than comic books. They almost always have what Im looking for or someone is always there to help me find what I want. If you ask them theyll call you every month when a new comic comes out, and if youre looking for a comic they do not have,when they do get it in theyll give you a call. There are other stores in Asheville but none with the expertise, variety, and customer service I enjoy at Comic Envy.

I was curious what the new(er) location looked like so I stopped by last weekend. It is a significantly smaller space so I didnt necessarily like that. It feels a bit cramped. The selection in trade paperbacks seemed to be reasonable, which is what I primarily look at when I visit comic book stores. However I was disappointed to see less memorabilia, I guess as a result of just having less space. I didnt find the staff particularly friendly or welcoming either, but I wasnt there for very long. I would still say its worth a visit.

Great place with a ton of Image selections. My wife and I were in Asheville on vacation, and were pleased to see an active push to showcase diversity in comics. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which has too often been the opposite of what weve experienced in comic shops. So sad this isnt my LCS!
