Bob Kimberly was the most kindest, honest salesman I have ever worked with. I needed a car quickly as I had extenuating circumstances (my street flooded and my low mile certified Honda CR-V was totaled by AAA, devastating ).The 2019 certified Mazda CX-5 I bought from Sesi motors has taken away my devastation of the loss of a great car. I see why people boast about their Madza’s, they are built well.I babysit my grandchild and Covid 19 is a major concern, Bob accommodated me every way possible .I merely expressed my concerns and he did more than I could have asked, even had a table set up outdoors to do the transaction.Mr Sesi is also an good man, he was a pleasure to talk to and we truly enjoyed meeting him when he came outside to confirm that I was a happy customer.I wrote loads of emails, with loads of questions and always got an immediate response that was filled with great Mazda information .If you want an honest, worry free transaction next time you want to get a car choose Sesi in Ann Arbor.I love my Mazda and am so pleased the way the entire process, from start to finish went down .Bravo

This is specifically for the service side of Sesi, not the dealership. The dealership is nice enough, but the service repair side is the most blatantly untruthful scam shop I’ve ever seen. Every time they tell you the car has one less expensive urgent issue, and one very expensive but non-pressing matter you should fix soon. For instance, they said my brake pads needed replacing. At this point I was already suspicious because anytime I didn’t get a repair done, the next time I came, they wouldn’t mention the issue at all. Like it had never existed. So I spent the extra hundred to get my brake pads checked somewhere else. Turns out, my brake pads were at 80%, nowhere near needing replacement.In short: the dealership is nice and they claim to specifically know your car brand’s needs, so the instinct is to get repairs done here. Don’t.

EDIT: I received a call from the dealer today acknowledging my frustration. They are attempting to make the recall go as smoothly as possible for me and make up for the bad experiences. I raised my review from 1 to 2 stars because I appreciate them acknowledging the issue. Ill revisit the review again after my next service.About a year ago my Mazda had an airbag safety recall. I scheduled and appointment and came in, left my car and went to the waiting room. About an hour later they came back and told me that they dont have parts and wont for a while. Seems like something they could have mentioned when I made the appointment and again when I got there.About a week ago, got a letter for another recall. This time I called them to confirm that they have parts in stock and they confirmed that they did. I scheduled an appointment for the next day. Once again, despite calling and confirming, they informed me that they do not have parts and wont for a while.One time isnt the end of the world, but theyve done the same thing multiple times and unnecessarily wasted several hours of my time in the process and havent seemed to care about that fact.

I just bought my car from this dealership and I cant believe how easy they made it for me (Im a foreigner so its not that simple to get everything approved) I only had contact with Andrew Wrenbeck and he took care of everything. He was always very helpful.Id definitely recommend this dealership to anyone. Its as hassle free as you can get. Other brands never gave me a quote on the first day and they took 2-3 days to do the credit history check. Not with Andrew in Sesi Motors. He was efficient and quick.

My sales person was great, but I would not recommend purchasing a used care from Sesi. Their standards of quality and cleanliness are very low. I purchased 2 cars at the same time, one had obvious damage, the other we noticed after taking delivery. Both needed repairs. The first car was damaged between the time the internet photos were taken and the time I purchased it. They worked with me to try and fix it, but, after 2 attempts, the paint repairs were still poorly done.The second appears to have been in a minor accident that didnt show up on the car fax. That is not Sesis fault, and they worked with me to make repairs, that they are unable to complete. I went to pick it up the 2nd vehicle this afternoon, and the exterior was dirty and the repairmans hand prints and swirls were all over the area that was repaired. There was no effort to return it to me clean. Very disappointed. As I said, my salesperson was great, even Kermit, (I believe the shop manager, was great) but the overall quality, care, and attention to detail is not .

This dealership, and Andrew Wrenbeck in particular, totally has my trust. Purchasing a car is a big deal, and usually a stressful one -- particularly as an Asian American woman. From what Ive seen, the workplace culture at the Sesi dealership in Ann Arbor, and specifically Andrews personal qualities and skillfulness, gave me a sense of trust in the care and respect they have for people, as well as the quality of my car and value of my purchase. I feel very comfortable coming back to this dealership in the long term, should any maintenance or other issues come up. This sense of trust is rare, and when combined with such depth of knowledge and experience on Andrews part, it is something I dont take for granted. He worked very well with me as well as my parents; having a great sense of humor didnt hurt either :) Really appreciate it.

I had a review on here earlier that I had forgotten about because I usually use Yelp (where I posted a very good review about Mazda Ann Arbor and my experience. Yes, I did feel a bit put off about the amount someone stated my car was worth, but Mike Rhinehart the salesman, totally made up for it and gave me such a good deal on my new car, it made the whole deal a more than fair package.As I stated on Yelp. I would buy all my cars from Mike and highly recommend him.I am a woman who knows NOTHING about buying a car, and he was very honest in explaining everything to me.My original outburst about the low ball on my car had nothing to do with the salesman, but Mike made up for it by giving me the deal of a lifetime.I hope he always works for Mazda because I love my car and I wouldnt deal with anyone else.

I went to Sesi Mazda today. I was pleased with the encounter until the appraisal for my trade in. I was floored by the low ball offer and was told that they called 3 other dealerships to obtain the price. Interesting, since I was offered over double (more than $4000) by a Chevrolet dealer using Kelly Blue Book instant offer, while I watched the salesman enter all the data for transparency. They told me to sell my car and use the money to come back and lease from them and did not appear willing to negotiate their price. I would be hard pressed to give them any of money or business in the future and will be seeking out offers from alternate Mazda dealers (and maybe just picking Chevy).I am giving 2 stars since I did find the sales people to be generally pleasant.

My drivers side floor mat wore a hole after 2 years of ownership, so I brought my 2010 Mazda 5 into this dealership for what I thought was an issue with the product. Chris and Ed in the service department were very helpful, and replaced the floor mats with an upgraded higher quality product than originally came with the vehicle. The floor mats were not technically covered under warranty, but the dealership valued me as a customer and chose to do what I think was the right thing in the situation. I also have to comment that the original salesman who sold me the car was very attentive and helpful. I purchased the car on one of the worst snow days of 2010, and we test drove the car in the snow with good results, it has worked well for my young growing family!

Edit: I added another star because Sesi did follow up on my review and apologize for the lacking service.The buying process was ok with the exception of them walking back on including Apple car play/Android auto after I paid a deposit. The service center is where customer service and just basic respect is lacking. Plan on being ignored for 5-10 minutes when you walk in. I paid for remote start installation and wasnt shown how it worked. Overall, I find them unhelpful and passive aggressive, but the actual work- if and when they decide to help you- is done properly. So, take of that what you will.

The absolute worst customer service and trustworthiness from the Mazda team here. Beware last second, hidden preparation fees and multiple credit checks without your permission by the Mazda crew. Very shady experience and disgraceful lack of professionalism in what should be a customer-oriented industry.

I used to love Sesi. But recently brought my car in for a check up for having no awd and an airbag light. Over the phone I was told the diagnostic would cost $130.00 total, but when I picked up the car they charged $270.00 as they chose to deceive me. I was then informed each problem is $130.00, even though that was clearly not told to me prior. They then told me they would ask the rep who quoted me what was discussed and stated they would call me back, but 2weeks later and still no call.

Cant say enough positive things about my experience at Sesi Motors. I read some of the reviews prior to going there and was a bit hesitant and on-guard. But I couldnt be more pleased. I dealt with Dustin, and he was awesome - Extremely helpful and personable.Ive never written a google review before, but felt inspired to contradict some of the negative reviews here since my experience was so positive. Its a great business and made the prospect of car buying much more palatable. Highly recommended!

Would not recommend this dealership to anyone. As a single woman, was taken advantage of and lied to, for the sake of moving a car off the lot to make end of month quota!! Turned in my lease, drove off with my new car. Was told by my salesperson. I was all set, had nothing to worry about. To than get hit with a large bill for damages. REALLY. The car was not inspected until 7 days after I took ownership of my new car. The dealership is now repsonsible (you would think) My spare tire was stolen out of the trunk??? On there lot!!!! Not to mention what else happened to my car. I was told my the Dealership manager, they do have an investigation going, Mine was not the 1st. But still haven taken care of the other incidentals???? Never again, will I do business like this. This dealership should look out for the best interests of there customers. Inspection 1st, than sell a car. Do not walk around my car, tell me all looks good and tell me I have nothing to worry about. NOT TRUSTWORTHY

I went to Sesi Mazda recently to help my mom search for a new car. She was gunshy about car dealerships as most of us are. Sesi proved us wrong. They were welcoming from the moment we walked in and took the time to show us all the options. They were extremely patient and helpful throughout the whole process. The person claimed we could not test dive a car because it was out of gas.. I think thats a lie! they were anything but helpful here.. we ended up going elsewhere to buy our mazda and love our new car.. just not this dealership! my husband and I both think he was judging us by the car we had previously owned.. it had rust on it.. therefore maybe he thought we were poor and just wanted to drive a car for fun??? think twice before judging people! never judge a book by its cover.. same goes with people.

Eh, My experiences with the Service Dept has been Sluggish at best. Either they have crammed appts, or not enough staff. One Time I actually waiting nearly 3 hours for an oil change for my CX5. Also some of their people have been rude. very pushy. When I call their Service dept they have an admin who gets all pissy when she answers the phone. She needs some customer service training. Id be happy to show her how to have phone manners. Ive talked with 1 guy at Sesi in the past his name was Mark in the service dept. He was really nice. Overall its hit or miss with Sesi. You guys could learn a lot from Brighton Mazda. btw, I bought my new CX9 grand touring from them because of the exceptional experiences I had with them.

I started at Sesi Motors Dealership in Ann Arbor because it was the closest one to my home. I spoke to a sales person on the phone but needed to take a look at the car I was inquiry about. I showed up a week later to look at the Volvo XC 90 and went to the salesman I spoke to earlier. He was surprised to see me show up and did not remember talking to me after I introduced myself. It was a very awkward first impression. I did most of the leg work asking questions about the car and then asking if I can see it and then asking if I can get my car appraised. Again very uncomfortable because I was not getting my questions answered nor did I feel like he was taking care of me. I even felt as though he did not care if I bought a car at all. I left the dealership with absolute certainty I would not purchase a car through them.When I found Lafontaine in Farmington Hills the salesman was excellent and professional. He gave me more information which help answer all my questions; even the ones I didnt ask. There was water bottle there for my son who was thirsty and everything looked clean and professional. My husband and I spent over two hours at the dealership; we both test drove the XC 90. It turned out we special ordered the vehicle because it was too good to turn down.The Volvo XC 90 sells itself; lets be honest. The car is top notch! However, the sales person will make all the difference of where the consumer will purchase their car from. I would not recommend Sesi Motors in Ann Arbor whatsoever to anyone because the salesman didnt take me seriously!

Dont recommend this place or salesman Gary. Went here to look for a CX5 and once Gary smelled a single woman looking at Lincolns he pushed us off and wanted us to schedule a test drive the following week. We were put off by this and I was irked he talked my significant other as if she didnt understand English.Aside from that experience, if you set up an Autotrader search for the CX5 as well youll see that they dont have the lowest listed price for the area.

After reading the mixed Google reviews of SESI Motors, I was very cautious to recommend to my son, a University of Michigan student, that he visit SESI to obtain a needed repair on his Volvo S70. However, since we had no viable options, we visited SESI’s service department on a Saturday morning. Although the gentleman at the service desk was initially ambivalent about helping us, the owner of the dealership soon walked by and, after hearing of our plight, assured us that “we will take care of you…”. After that statement from the dealership owner, the service department sprang into full action and we received excellent service. Since then, we have visited the service department at SESI on one more occasion and, to our delight, we were greeted again by the friendly and professional dealership owner, Joseph Sesi. Not only have we been treated extremely well by the staff at SESI, the warm and welcoming demeanor of Joseph Sesi has made our visits comfortable and relaxing. If you are in the Ann Arbor area and in need of service work on your Volvo, I encourage you to do yourself a favor and visit the service department at SESI Volvo.
