We went to upgrade a phone and was told we couldn’t just buy one that we had to finance. Then was told we had to pay more to upgrade. The sales lady was very rude and condescending the way she talked to us so I told her that and we left. I went to the other us cellular store in Altoona and was able to buy the phone. Without financing and with great customer service. This was NOT the first time that this same sales lady was rude and I walked out. It was just the closest store but now I’ll drive across town and not even bother with this store.

Moved to the area couple of years ago but continued driving to Indianola to US Cell store due to the lack of knowledge of the US Cell across from Altoona Walmart. Today decided to try this smaller store, by Altoona Hy Vee, and were SO impressed by the young woman who helped us! Her knowledge saved us a boat load of money. This will be our new US Cell store.

Fabulous experience - great customer service! That team really knows what they are doing. They helped me out with an issue while the other US Cellular in Altoona was completely rude, and unprofessional. Mary was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable to see that best value for the product and service was given.

The fear of Covid has affected service. She stayed behind a rope and gave us answers from there. It was more than six feet away. She did venture out from behind the rope and answered a few more questions we had. Ive never seen service take a large bow to this virus quite so seriously. I dont blame her as Id be scared too considering how cavalier TRUMP is acting. My husband forgot to bring his phone at home so will go back later.

I was away from home for my daughters birthday and my phone broke! I looked online and was able to get in an hour earlier than the other store in the area. Mary helped me get a whole new phone and some other things fixed with my account in less than an hour!! In the past this has taken at least 2 hours at my local store!

She was very friendly, helpful and did not try to influence me into something I did not need. Although we did talk about options.

A while back I switched companies with a special deal running at that time. The salesperson explained it to me with no pressure and ended up saving me money and got my family the newest top of the line phones as well! Besides all that, I am so happy I switched to US Cellular as I have internet everywhere that I go! Before them, with my old company, I might not get signal unless I was upstairs in my house or even sometimes not until I drove two blocks! Crazy good difference! Oh, I also enjoy this store customer satisfaction perks every month.

Wow--what great service. Went there to check on pre-owned phones; but better yet, I got an upgraded new phone and our bill will only increase slightly. She had ideas to help bring bill down too. We had personal attention from the representative there. Skip US CELLULAR on Eighth Street and go to this location and ask for Mary.Weve purchased plans and new phones from her several times now. She really knows what shes doing, and I appreciate her friendship.

I have been thrilled to discover THIS Altoona location for U.S. Cellular! I have been there several times and I have never had to wait. For years I went to the other Altoona location and it was always a game of when to go so you didnt get stuck waiting, it seemed they were always busy. THIS location every time I have gone or sent a member of my family we have walked in and been able to work with someone right away. THIS store is well staffed with friendly people who KNOW their business and offer outstanding customer service!

I have spent 3 days on the phone with U S celluar customer service and techs trying to activate a s5 that I got from the Altoona store some time ago. When U S celluar finally got to the bottom of the issue it was traced back to the Altoona stores major screwup. The Altoona store had recorded that my s5 had not been returned. Of course it wasnt returned. I BOUGHT IT. I am so angry with the this stores major screwup and the time it has cost me that I hope they are diciplined by U S Celluar. If you are thinking of getting a phone or plan there DONT. God only knows how many customers they have screwed over.
