The young man that I talked to was very patience and very helpful to both me and my friend. My friend had a lot more issues than I did but he took the time to help her with all of her issues. She had recently switched from a flip phone to a regular phone so he was very helpful to her.

The salesman was very unprofessional and had very little customer service skills. Ordered the wrong phone without indulging any information on the said phone. Never will go back to that location again. Worth the gas to drive three times the distance than get that kind of service

Its a great place to do business and buy phones and assessors the staff is above and beyond helpful to everyone that comes into the store its very clean and the employees take pride in there jobs and helping there customers great job everyone it shows more then you think !

Terrible customer service experience. My entire phone screen had shattered, so I filed an insurance claim, received the new phone, and took it into this US Cellular to activate. They were done activating it when I asked to purchase a screen protector for it (makes sense, considering I shattered my last one). They didnt have a screen in inventory for my specific model. Two gentlemen then told me that if I purchased a screen protector, I could bring back in and that someone could put it on for me - as long as I didnt hold them liable if it wasnt put on correctly, etc. I said no worries - completely understand that, Ill be back.I go back 3 days later with a screen protector. First, I walk in and just hear Yes? Trying to figure out where its coming from, I peer around the table, and I see a female employee sitting down. I walk across the store, meet here where she is sitting, and I kindly ask her to put a phone screen on my phone (thinking no big deal - others employees told me to do this). She instantly gets an attitude and says We dont do that. I told her what I had been told a couple of days ago, and she asked what location, and I informed her that exact one. She said Nope, company policy, sorry. They were wrong. But then, she proceeds to tell me that she doesnt feel comfortable doing it. So I ask if it is a comfort thing, or policy, and she avoided the question. I asked if ANYONE there could assist me and she said Nope, sorry!. Frustrated, I went back to my car, called the US Cellular that is less than a mile away and the kindest gentleman said Of course we can help you! Bring it on in. They put the phone screen on within seconds. So my recommendation, if you are in Altoona, and needing to go to US Cellular, go to the one at 301 Center Pl. by Hy Vee and NOT this one.

I thought the purchase was great the rep was excellent and got me in and out fairly quickly. However, be sure to review your receipt. I was charged $89 for a life proof case for a phone I didnt even have, I asked the rep if it came in other colors so it could have been added in error. The disappointing part was how they handled the situation after. When I called to report the issue I spoke with Nicole who said it was to busy and she needs to call me back after researching. I had no problem with this and understand it can be busy on the weekends. When Nicole called me back she said I see your bill here and we returned it the next day. In a very snappy attitude. I explained one was returned, but I was also charged for a extra case. She then told me I was lying and when I asked her to review the cameras she said they wont do that. I asked for a manger and she told me she was the manger, then hung up on me. I spoke to corporate office and they quickly noticed the transaction did not make sense. They did see 2 cases on my bill and quickly corrected the issue. I have to say I am pleased with us cellular as a company and the customer service provided from corporate office, but very disappointed with this store location.

Tiffany was very helpful. I went in there blinded thinking I could get a new phone and pay monthly without being over 18, but learned that I have to be. I am not sad about it. Overall happy visit!

I like this one because its on my way home and the people that help out usually are very friendly but I made an appointment 2 days ago to talk with someone about my plan and my bill was 15 minutes early still had to wait over an hour they need to find a different system during this pandemic

After 12 yrs with US Cellular and 2 with current phone plan we decided to stop in and compare. The many US Cell commercials make it sound like there are some good deals, and AARP has information on other providers that sound attractive to older users. Were seniors but comfortable with technology.The specialist in the store said we could upgrade to a newer version of our current phone for $40 more per month! Even after we mentioned all the other options we were aware of, it was thank you & goodbye.Happened to stop at the Indianola US Cellular store and were given many options! Walked out with updated phones and $40 monthly savings!

I recently visited the Altoona store to discuss options for replacing my phone that was not working. It was a long three-hour visit but I feel that the staff went above and beyond for me. This was the second experience Ive had with the staff at this store, when I felt that they went out of their way to help me.

I was initially excited about getting new iPhones. I have been with Boost mobile so I was only paying $80/mo flat for unlimited service on 2 phones. I expected to pay more with US Cellular because I was getting 2 new iPhones.... which it turns out are “free” as long as you keep service through US Cellular. I felt that Jon explained everything clearly to me. He even gave me a spreadsheet that estimated my first month’s bill... monthly service $138.98, monthly device cost $6.60, estimated bill before tax $145.58. 17 days later I got my first bill... $225.24. I call the 800 number expressing my confusion and was told that the estimated bill Jon gave was basically a fabrication and since it was 2 days past their 15 day return period my only option to get out of service with US Cellular was to pay them $1596.00. So overall I am really happy with the iPhone, it’s awesome. The coverage is ok, can’t tell a difference from Boost Mobile. But as far as this location and US Cellular as a company.... I feel like I got scammed. 2 lines $50/mo, $12/mo insurance, and free phones, sounds like about $140/mo. But not even close. After all their hidden fees (which the plan says unlimited “no hidden fees”) I am paying nearly triple my last phone bill. My advice is to add $50-$100 on top of what their employees tell you your bill will be and you won’t be surprised.

Sales person was great when I signed up and purchased the phone. The second you have a problem or issue with your phone they could care less and will tell and show you that by their actions. I had a phone replaced twice under warranty within the first 9 months due to bad power buttons on the LG G5. People all over the internet have had this ongoing issue with the LG G5 since its release. The rep actually wanted me to payoff the broken phone ($268) when I brought it in so he could add another $600 to my bill rather than fixing the problem while my phone is still under original 1yr warranty. What a joke, they will hold the door for you and their middle finger as you leave. I guess that is what they call a good customer experience. STAY CLEAR OF THIS STORE, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!

Chelsea at the Altoona store on 8th was a great person to work with when she done something with my phone she told me what she was doing why she was doing it, and so far its taken care of the problem I think she done a fantastic job cuz my phone was really messing up bad.

Horrible. Brought my phone in cause it was defective and still under warranty. Took a hour came back 2 days later to pick up my replacement like i was told. Only to learn they never orders it and had no record.while ordering a new one again one of the sales associate said that someone amitted to dropping the ball on my order but no apology was given. Ordered a new one which took another hr when the had anothe rproblem and informed me to call them in a couple hrs to see if they got it fixed.they replied in a short text yes it was ordered. So go get tk get it 3 days later wait a hour for it to sync leave store only to try and make several calls and it tell me i was roaming so back to the store for another hour. Finally leave with my new phone and screen saver that the associate promised me would stick down better to phone in a couple hrs. Guess what 2 days later and screen protector they put on still sucks. Overall not impressed with there customer service. To be fair the third wome who helped me was very helpful. The first two obviously didnt care since one forgot all about my order and second one didnt even care enough to appolize for the stores mistake. So maybe be looking somewhere else next time contracts up.
