DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY. My furniture after 2 weeks of storage was infested with termites. It’s been 3 months since I have filed a claim with the insurance company GILA RIDGE PROVIDED.. and they still fail to cover the damages. I’m not someone who usually posts reviews, but if you value your belongs don’t use this facility. And if Gila Ridge Storage would like to read this review and help recuperate some of my lost furniture please contact me, since your “management” refuses to return any of my calls.

They Have raised the rent twice in less than a year. I received an email that the rent will increase again. The email says 30 days notice of rate hike, but the rate hike occurs in 14 days and not 30 days. The problem is if you are away like many who use this location they know you can not do anything about the sudden rate changes and have to accept them of your stuff gets auctioned. . If you store here expect the rate to suddenly go up with less than 30 days notice. But there is more, once they jack up the rate they will find new fees to tag on. My contract never mentioned renters insurance is required and when asked to show me where it is written they never replied. Renters insurance is fine if you were told about it when you first rented a storage, but not fine if you were not required in your contract. Yet they will tag that fee on, with them collecting 110% more than the actual value of the renters insurance, how do I know, I received a letter from the insurance stating the premium and it had a 110% mark up. Rest assure when I return to Yuma I am looking for a new storage location, too many sudden surprise rent hikes with in a year is bad business.Update 2021: Another surprise Rate HIKE. This time 50%. What they are doing is waiting for the snowbirds to return to Canada, and then send out that email that they are raising their rates again. Knowing many people have left for the season and have no choice but to pay it. Do not be fooled by their low price storage fee it is temporary. As they are guilty of raising their rates with little notice multiple times with in a year. Try one of the other storage facilities

Had to store my teardrop trailer over the weekend while visiting Yuma area. Keith gave me a great short term rate, cheaper than staying one night at a good RV campground with full hookups. 24 hour secure, safe storage lot. Easy access to interstate. Excellent, friendly service.

We had a small storage locker here for about two years. The facility is clean, and there are cameras everywhere. We had easy access to our unit through a coded gate. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.

Stop by to get a price on a 10×20 unit. It was just the size I needed it but I notice there was mouse traps and dropping. Sadly I heard nice things about this place that just made me change my mind.Thanks if you gets get that fix Ill take about going back and renting from you guys.

Safe, clean, well maintained and professional and friendly management. Climate controlled unit is consistent temp, keeping my keepsakes safe from heat. Pay online is convenient, too. Will be long term customer.

Rented a space for a couple of months while cleaning out the home of a family member that passed. When tired and hurting from the loss the owners were very compassionate without fail. The price of the storage was reasonable, the storage clean and someone always on hand if I had questions or concerns. Thanks for making a hard time, that much easier.

Found this facility on Google and got it ordered today. Even though I have yet to visit the place I can already see why they have been voted as Yuma’s best storage facility 5 yrs in a row. I gave them my problem and they solved it with two enclosed storage units to house my long truck and and toyhauler. Only needed the units for a couple months but they gave me an additional month free on the move in special. I hung up the phone, so happy that I had secure storage, then the phone rang. It was Keith double checking on the height of the toyhauler. Found out the unit I ordered was not going to fit because of my extra tall height. He did more adjusting to get me into a larger unit, at his expense, while blaming himself for not asking me the exact height in the first place (when it was my fault). This was on top of my military discount. In asking Kathy about the best way to catch my flight out of Yuma, Keith jumped on the phone and said he would take me there, no problem. Above and beyond customer service to insure I that I will have a trouble free stay. Looking forward to my trip to Yuma to meet these wonderful resident managers and the modern facilities of Gila Ridge Storage.

They are a good business except they keep raising the rates. BE AWARE IF YOU RENT HERE THE RATES WILL RISE ON A CONSTANT BASIS.

We have been a customer here for 4 years. The managers work with us when we get behind a little on payments and are always very friendly, considerate and always willing to help out any way they can. We would not rent anywhere else.

Im really digging this place. Its location is good - right off the freeway and there is a big gas station nearby with cold, cold drinks. Its close to everything, but then again, everything in Yuma seems to be fairly close to everything.Melissa, the on-site manager is friendly and professional and I dont think she commented once on how hot it is. This I appreciate greatly because I know how hot it is. Why is that the typical greeting in Yuma? Hey, howzit goin? Good, but too hot for me. Geez, stop it, people! In London do they say Great day, mate. Little foggy and rainy for my taste.? I dunno, Ive never been to London.We had a problem with our accommodations and therefore with where we would be able to park our U-Haul truck overnight. Melissa was quick with a solution that took that bit of worry off of our plate.One piece of criticism, and I have to dig deep for one, is that there is no on-site dumpster. No trash disposal, at all, really. Makes it difficult to mitigate any trash that followed us on our move from Anaheim.The spaces seem secure and there is the added bonus of the police using the business as a training area for their drug sniffing dogs. My question is - why would anybody put their drugs in storage? Why would you have so many drugs that you NEED storage?! Thats just plain gluttony, as far as I can tell. Dont you have any friends to share with? Geez.

They get zero stars. My wife was intimidated and yell at by the so call owner just for asking if we could get pro rated for the remaining 10 days left on our rent. Dont believe me I got the video to prove it. Ill be uploading the video soon. Dont rent here.
