Just had a service appointment at 7:30, I arrived at 7:25 and waited to 7:35, doors were still locked. I left, my time is important and that is the purpose of setting an appointment. Service at this location is a steady free fall. If you like VW use a different location.

Very nice dealership, as someone would probably expect in the nice town of York. Worked with Eli who was very polite, friendly, and easy to do business with. He was incredibly attentive, and answered all of my questions.The dealership is clean and welcoming and everyone made me feel comfortable, which can be uncommon in car dealerships. I never felt pressured to buy and didnt feel like anyone was overly pushy trying to sell me something I didnt want to buy.I wound up purchasing a certified pre-owned Jetta, which Ive named Brown Eye. They gave me what I considered to be a very honest trade value for my car, and the finance was able to squeeze some savings into my loan so I could add an extended warranty and gap coverage in the event this Jetta suffers the same fate as my long departed Golf.It was nice doing business with them. They went above and beyond. I didnt get there until late and they stayed late so I could leave with my car that day since I was driving two hours to get it. Lots of dealerships will give you a low trade when you travel that far for a specific car because they know you really want it or you wouldnt have made the trip.Eli also sent me his personal text number in case I needed anything I could reach out.Really happy with the deal and experience, absolutely no buyers remorse and will gladly do business with them again in the future if its an option.Dont hesitate to do business there, they really do treat you like family.

Had to order parts for my daughters GTI. Part numbers were sketchy. Parts department guy went above and beyond to get proper numbers and submit order. Very expensive but they have limited control over that. If I ever need parts again for her Volkswagen I will definitely return.

We were driving around looking at SUVs. All of their new cars are very nice. But we found a used car on their lot that caught my wifes eye. Happy wife, happy life. We already own a Jetta TDI. We will keep it as long as we can. We will be having our new used car maintenance done here. Staff was friendly. Lynaya was very nice and professional. No pressure to buy. Very little wiggle room on price. However, we still got the deal done.

Contacted Salesperson Ken about purchasing a VW TDI. My trade in was a VW Jetta Hybrid. There was negative equity involved.Since the purchase was going to be Certified the loan would go thru VW Credit.Ken never got back to me. I have always been a Toyota customer, but saw the Atlas Cross Sport and was curious to check it out. I leased and bought all these extra insurances, insurance guy came out and took pics, showed me I owed nothing, I turned car in and they told me that everything was good, I owe nothing and bye. Months later I am told I owe money. I am very unhappy and will never lease again

Had my car inspected there today was very happy.

Went in for service the other day and unfortunately it was after service had already left. I was in a tough spot as my car was over heating and I didnt want to do any further damage to it. The sales manager, Nicholas Campagna, didnt have to do anything to help me but he went above and beyond to help take care of me. He called the owner of the dealership to help get me taken care of. I will be taking my car to York VW for service from here on out and will send everyone I can to them to buy as well because from what I can see they truly care about their customers!

Had leased a VW from them, was looking to turn in my lease for another. I was told I had to come in to get information even though I was leasing the exact same car. Then they tried to pressure me into a decision the same day even though I said I wanted to wait. After getting the original numbers and asked what room they had to negotiate (which is a normal part of the process and I was already a former customer) I was given a story about how these were great numbers and I would get them in trouble for asking again after just getting these estimates. Not to mention several people were not wearing masks in the main lobby. Long story short... went to Parkville VW. Saw Melissa Cole. Didn’t make me feel bad about negotiating. So helpful and knowledgeable. Glad to give my business to someone who respects customers. Will never go to York VW again. This was my 6th VW so they lost someone who will be buying and leasing VWs for their whole life.

I purchased a 2014 used Kia Soul and Riley was the best down to earth and non pressuring sales person Ive ever come across. This was a second vehicle for our household and he did everything he could to make it happen for the price I wanted to walk out the door paying. DO NOT BUY THEIR BOGUS EXTENDED WARRENTY.I have been displeased with every aspect of this business since day 1. When my wife and I went to purchase the vehicle we were helped by Sue. When we asked to talk numbers with Sue she told us “the numbers are what they are”. Next we went to finance, where we spoke with Sue’s husband Brad. Brad conned us into buying their extended warranty. I declined it twice because I know they never cover anything, however, he kept pushing us saying it covers everything bumper to bumper for 3 years 30k miles. EVERYTHING.The vehicle was also was put through a 100pt inspection prior to purchase and I was given a check list that showed all that had been checked.Four days later, the brake lines ruptured leaving me stranded. I had it towed to their shop and they fixed it but also found it need and axle, sway bar bushings, and a alignment. Not sure how all the was broke, or needed replaced if it was all just checkedSince owning this vehicle for a little over a year, we have had to do many things to it including:-All U joints-Upper control arms-Ball joints-Front axles-brake lines-sway bar end links-torque convertor-needs fuel sending unit-engine reduced power / limp mode errorI’ve have tried to get these fixed under warranty but they always respond with the same answer, “Unfortunately that is not covered”. We have had nothing but issues since day one and can’t get anywhere.We have sent long emails to their team explaining the situation and are very frustrated at this point. Brad just seems to continue to want to vaguely answer our emails and not get any where. He has offered to cancel the warranty, but we would only receive what balance remains and he continues to tell us that the refund “will not change our payments” and that he “does not recommend cancelling due to the age of the vehicle”.We just wanted the worthless warranty to be refunded at 100% since it covers nothing and we feel that we were conned into purchasing. When we requested a full refund from York VW, again the response was the refund “will not change our payments” and that he “does not recommend cancelling due to the age of the vehicle”.UPDATE______________Read their generalized response, they still make no initiative.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had, coming from a Volkswagen dealership, I’ve scheduled multiple appointments for work to be done to my 2013 CC each time spent over $1000 dollars and the Service desk workers were rude and do not Give Loaners to buyers that did not buy there cars at this exact dealership, I have children at home and other errands to run as I get my car worked on, all I’ve asked for was a loaner car and each time the service desk was rude and persistent that they won’t give me one and I don’t qualify because I did not buy my car at this exact dealership, I got my car at Volkswagen Lebanon but York Volkswagen tells me to take my money elsewhere 👎

I just bought my first car, a VW tiguan, from Frank about 2 weeks ago. I’m super happy with my experience and Frank was so nice. As per his recommendations, I even booked my wedding venue at a location he suggested. They were also really helpful when I had a follow up question about a week after buying my car. They are not Pushy at all like other car salesmen and I appreciated that.

My wife purchased a vehicle here a few weeks ago and she is in love. She couldnt believe Andrew had a drink for her and the car she was looking at waiting for her and ready when she got there. She was able to talk to him under no pressure about what she wants, and he was able to get it into my budget which surprised me. Knowledgeable and very friendly staff that are very transparent. Ill be servicing her and my vehicle here now.

I bought two cars from Riley a month ago. Both certified pre owned. One car has been great no issues. The other one has had multiple issues that I feel I shouldn’t have had from a car that was looked over the way they claim. Issue number one was the battery died and left me stranded a week after I bought it. They said they would have replaced it if I would have brought the car after it left me sit. Couldn’t help me since I had a coworker drive me to get a new battery after work so I could get home. Issue number two. The battery in one of my remotes was dead when I bought the car and didn’t realize it until the day after and I left for work and couldn’t get my car started. And issue number 3 was about a week after the purchase I was driving down the street and my windshield was dirty and when I went to use my windshield wiper foe the first time it was completely out of fluid. York vw was great to purchase from no pressure and easy to work with. Riley was the best salesman I have ever worked with. But I was disappointed paying a premium for a certified preowned vehicle with a dead battery dead remote and no washer fluid.

Went to York VW on 7/6/20 with my wife to trade in her Subaru and purchase a used Audi. My wifes Subaru is a 2015 with 30k miles and is the top trim line. My online research has shown that her car is worth around $15-16k on a trade and $19k retail. The fiance manager offered us a very insulting low offer. After I showed him my research, he made a call and said he could give us an extra $3,500. That must have been some phone call to come up with almost an extra $4k. We then left, looked at another dealership and then returned to purchase a vehicle from York VW and submitted an offer. We asked for a tad more for her trade than they offered us and we asked for a little money off of the vehicle they were selling to begin the negotiations. The finance manager simply told our salesman No. Our salesman even told us that he got chewed out for taking our offer to the finance manager. Ive been buying and selling cars for 25 years and I have never tried to purchase a car with zero negotiation from the dealership. Again, our offers were only $1k away from what we were offered and what they were asking for their vehicle. We also told the salesman that we were putting $1k down. Financing was also not an issue. Very disappointed in York VW and will not do business there again.

A decent size dealership. However, I went more for the parts department as I needed parts for my Volkswagen diesel. The gentleman at the counter was nice and seemed to know what I was looking for soon as I figured out what I was looking for. Of course the prices were a little bit higher as I would expect with Volkswagen parts, however, they have what I needed in stock and thats more important than anything.

Had my 2017 Tiguan in on 12/26/2019 for a dead battery. VW said it was fine and did not replace it. Went to start vehicle last night and battery was dead again. Put charger on battery so I could start it. Took into VW this morning and they made me pay full price of new battery since my warranty ran out on 02/22/2020. VW should of giving me at least a discount on new battery because they should of replaced it in December when it was under warranty

Good service but found a used car at another dealer

It took some doing but they fixed (!) persistent problems with our 2004 Jetta. I was impressed by the consistent communication provided by the service staff.

Car was exactly the one I wanted (5 speed Black Beetle) and I was given a more than a fair price for my trade(2005 Scion Tc) . Sales people( Mike and Tyler) took the time to explain the features on the car . I was even given a test drive to make sure I was comfortable with my new car. I was also taken around the dealership and introduced to the service manager. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Best car buying experience I ever had! Love my new Beetle!

This is by far the best vw dealership in the tri state area. My experience with York VW has been amazing. I saw a car online that was not even posted for sale yet. Just a vehicle description saying the vehicle was coming soon. I called at 5:45 p.m. on Friday night they close at 6 p.m. Nick the sales manager assisted me with showing me pictures of a vehicle that was not even on the market yet it had already gone through the shop and had all its maintenance done and was already detailed on the exterior. I told him it would be okay if you just sent the pictures the following business day but he insisted he had 15 minutes left in his day and he would help me up. That kind of service is unheard of. He sent me more than enough pictures to satisfy my needs and the quality of pictures were perfect interior exterior wheels bumpers. He then called me back and assured me that we could speak tomorrow about price and negotiations. the following business day when they returned to the shop he had texted me and told me I can call it anytime we settled on a price and they have a no hassle fee which means no BS fees from the dealership. Coming from New Jersey about 3 hours away he referred me to Tristan one of the salesmen at York VW. this guy was on the money we spoke a few times on the phone we came to an agreement on a price at down payment and monthly payment. as for reference another VW dealer was trying to sell me a car that I didnt even want at two times the price Im not even kidding. They wanted 399 per month for a golf SportWagen.. Tristan got me out the door would be better monthly price and a unicorn of a car a TDI golf SportWagen 6-speed. We didnt confirm today that would come and pick up the car and it took about 30 minutes in and out of the dealership I drove there showed up sign the paperwork and left the dealer. then to boot I had mentioned that I didnt receive a media cable and they proceeded to mail it to me free of charge. This is by far the best dealership for Volkswagen. Thank you York VW especially Tristan and Nick the sales manager thank you very much.

Mike made initial contact with me after finding the car through Edmunds, but Tim was at the dealership Monday night when we arrived. He worked through every detail with me to make sure I got as many features in the car I wanted for the best price and interest rate. I ended up getting way more features than I expected for a great price! I could not be happier with my experience and having Trevor as a go-to person at VW. Trevor truly looked out for my best interests in getting the car as well as when it came to service needs. Would recommend him over and over again!

I had a great experience at York Volkswagen! All of the sales staff were very friendly and professional, as well as very patient with me as I asked a million questions and changed my mind quite frequently. They were also very patient with my two-year old, who liked to climb in and out of their showroom cars and touch all of their stuff. The Business Manager, Mike Grady, was especially helpful, and spent a lot of time answering my questions and helping me find exactly what I wanted. He even gave my son his very own mini beetle to match mine. : ) Since purchasing my car two weeks ago, I have gotten several follow-up calls from the staff to make sure that everything is running smoothly. This is the best car-buying experience I have ever had and I would highly recommend York Volkswagen to anyone who is in the market for a new car. I will most definitely return in the future. Woot.

Cant speak for the sales dept, I bought my GTI overseas, but I absolutely love the service department here. Everyone from the service reps and mechanics to the shuttle guys and cashiers- they always make me feel at home, and my car always looks and drives great when I leave. Unfortunately I have had quite a few problems with my car, but every repair has been done in a timely manner. No one likes to spend their hard earned cash on repairs, but in my opinion, the prices are fair. Great customer service from Eli, Darryl, Ben, and everyone Ive ever met in York VW.

I could not have had a better buying experience than I did last evening working mostly with Ken but also with Mike, the sales manager. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and how much I was willing to pay, and they really, really listened. They werent pushy or dismissive. Ken was attentive, fun to talk to, professional, and respected my need/desire to be practical vs frivolous...and Mike worked his butt off to get me the numbers I felt comfortable with in order to sign on the dotted line for the best car I could afford (and boy was I pleasantly surprised!). They offered me a tremendous deal.Also, Brad, their finance guy, took the time even before I came in to discuss my credit and FICO score and help assuage my nerves about the credit inquiry. I take my finances and credit very seriously and try hard to keep them positive.The vibe of this place is quite special, too. My local VW dealership is intimidating. You get the sense that they prefer to sell their top-of-the-line premium cars only. They werent willing to offer as fair a price on my used trade-in. But York Volkswagen has more of a warm, fun, family feel.Ill be recommending my VW-loving family and friends come here from now on, even though its quite the drive for them, to buy their next new car.

The customer service was good over the phone. However, the labor costs are out of this world at $135 per hour. For the same job same amount of time same parts, my local mechanic gave me an estimate for 13 hours of labor between 700 and $800, I called York VW to compare prices, and they gave me an estimate of $1,800 JUST for labor. For the exact same job as my mechanic. That is insane. Even Meinekes labor prices are less than this and I know they take 20% off the top for parts, and are about 70 per hour for labor. Im saving myself a thousand dollars by avoiding this dealership for repairs.
