I had ordered 8 large wardrobe boxes that didnt fit in my suv. The 2 men and women working helped me load my car and strap the boxes to the roof. I had my 2 young children in the car and they made sure we all got home safely with our order. Big thanks to them for their professionalism and care!
If i could leave a zero star review I would. First of all...this company held over 400 dollars of mine for weeks. I ordered a tow hitch and had an installation date scheduled. I was called the day before and had the date pushed out due to delays in receiving the parts. Fair enough. Next I show up to have the installation and guess what? No hitch and no call to inform me the installation had been pushed back yet again. This part you wont believe. Show up for next installation...it happened again!!! It was postponed and no one contacted me. This time I was told I would recieve a discount of the installation cost. Here I go and show up a third time. I know i should have learned my lesson. This time Im told they will only give a 10 percent discount for all the poor customer service. I had to haggle to recieve a 14% discount. I leave my car, Im told it will take 2 hours. 5 hours later I call. Youve got it! They had the wrong part and no one bothered to call me. They sat on my vehicle for 5 hours and no one called. Now I have to wait 5 days for a refund. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. DONT DO IT.
I know we shouldnt rush to conclusions based on limited interactions but this Uhaul location was the icing on the cake.We walked in with a reservation. The place reeked of weed and the 3 employees proceeded to state how there was a nationwide uhaul outage.... they couldnt do a paper slip (false), they would call later in the day (false) and they were sorry that we were without a truck.Am I venting? Yes. Do I feel like a valued customer? No. Do the folks at uhaul care? Absolutely not.Uhaul is the worst.
Hands down one of the best experiences Ive had with customer service- period. It was a bit of a wait to get to the counter, but it was busy and your renting property that is about $50k each.. so yes I expect that to be a process and take some time. Got to the counter and each service rep was very knowledgeable and explained everything in a pleasant and professional manner. Got to the truck and the man out there was just as good as the people inside. Truck was clean. Brought back the truck and again.. service was a A+. Did I mention that I enjoyed my experience? Yeah? Cool.

Im 22 and this is the first time ever moved or driven something bigger than my SUV. This was a seamless experience. At the end of the day, I parked the Uhaul on the wrong side of the building for returns and I was so tired and sweaty from moving and the woman working there offered to move it to the other side for me. Overall, an awesome experience. I had a lot of anxiety but this was super easy.
No issues! Booked a motorcycle trailer on line. Everything was all set when I went to pick it up. Smooth as silk! Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Would definitely rent from here again.
If this is the location near the hospitals on lake Ave than I had a great experience each time I have encountered dealing with the employees at Uhaul, entering my space and paying both in person and setting up online services. I called the same day and was able to secure a space for extra things for a family member. The parking is a bit of an issue but for the price I think if you pull around to the storage pods you can either cross the street or use Google to see if the times are less busy ! Setting up pre pay is an awesome choice to avoid the traffic and parking situation. All I all I am very happy her and inside the actual facility the area is impeccable. Not one spec of dirt or dust. The floors shine like a mirror and lights go on as you proceed along the path toward your bin. I recommend Uhaul as a place to rent and use for temporary storage.
Just called, the woman was having a separate conversation with coworkers while on the phone with me. I asked if there was a better time to call back and she said my reservation was all set and she just needed a credit card. I didnt even know what I had reserved, what it would cost or how it works for pickup or drop off.
A slight delay in getting my pickup due to someone misplacing as key for another vehicle. After the slight delay everything else was very professionally handled in a very polite and friendly manner. Excellent service. The return was fast and easy.

The Belmont Street site has consistently refused to serve me. I am disabled and walk with a cane, and I had to rely on my husband to reserve a large unit for our temporary storage purposes. When we visited today to close out the unit, we were refused an inspection, and a receipt for the closeout, though we are paid to date. There were no other customers in the store or on site when we were there, and there were two employees available who were not busy - one was simply standing by a stack of boxes. But both refused - repeatedly - to walk across the street to our unit with us to inspect the unit so that we could remove our lock without worry of unauthorized use. We also were refused a receipt for closeout, and told we had to return in 4 hours when the storage facility clerk would be in. This site was great on customer serve for years, but this year, the service under new management has been extremely poor. There are other local UHaul sites and other storage and van rental firms in Worcester and other nearby towns. Save yourself the frustration, and use another firm.
Updated interior. It looks so much better. Service is faster as well. And with the new online return service, renting a Uhaul truck is easy and hassle free

Look, U-Haul in General is a good company that offers a convenient service at an okay price. I would have given 5 Stars if it wasnt for the disrespectful, altruistic approach of an associate by the name of ALANI. She is the most disrespectful, horrible Cust Rep Ive ever consulthe isnt supposed to be representing a company that relies heavily on excellent customer service.I met this person at 3:41pm today (06/21/2020) while initiating my reservation for a Truck.The management should consider reviewing her track record and consult with DeNico Smith who will not only confirm what Ive said but also saved the day when she took over.

Only one woman working on a Saturday morning? She was bragging loudly that everyone hates her and she encouraged all the employees to quit if they didnt like her and they all quit on her. Try to be better to your workers and they will support you when you need them. I had to wait 2 freaking HOURS standing in line before I got my rental truck, no incentive for wasting my time offered. Nothing. Just crass and insulting customer service from Melissa, who says she owns the branch and there is nobody to complain to about her to. Never again will I come anywhere near this store, I suggest everyone else show Melissa how to be a better boss by renting from another company.
Horrible and absolutely rip off. big lady had told me that anything would be covered if there was damage to my items in the truck. I asked anything SHE REPEATED ANYTHING! I had damage to some items and the company they insure thru repwest refused to covered my damaged items. Dont let them fool you, its an absolut way of ripping people off.
Horrible service. I was advised by a U haul employee to park in the Piccadilly parking lot. When I got back my car was towed. I had to pay $145 to get my car back. I went back to the store to get a refund since it was clearly their fault for advising to park there and the store manager Melissa Paradise well she is nothing of a Paradise. She is rude and not helpful at all. I tried to go above her to the company President Jerry and he is worse than her. He screamed at me on the phone for calling multiple times. Go to a different location. This one is horrible.
Ruth is awesome. I must say she handles situations that arise well. And ends is with a smile. I rent trucks frequently and I prefer this this location.

Worst experience of my life. No waiting room. They sent me across the street to McDonalds. The people are all negative and rude. The trailer hitch they installed was a hack job and unsafe. I brought it back and they said no refunds on trailer hitches but had nothing in writing to back up that policy. I heard them laughing when I walked out. Have already contacted their corporate office. They have no idea what is taking place at this store. Stay away!
Very very worst customer service I had ever experienced. Just to pick reserved truck i had to stand more than one hour in the line and such a horrible customer service out there. They must learn how to respect the customer and improve to serve keeping the importance of time to sustain thier business for long run.
First rental this week they said I had 60 miles, then I got charged for all the mileage. In addition they never told me a time to return the truck so by default I thought by 5pm, my mistake. Then they called and were rude saying where is our truck? I politely explained the situation and offered to return it right then, they stated well we’re charging you anyways so you might as well keep it until that time.Then I walk in this morning to rent a smaller vehicle and finish my move and they said we won’t have any trucks until tomorrow afternoon you should have called. Rude response if you ask me but then I look in the parking lot and ask if every single vehicle out there is rented they stated yes you should have called or done a reservation. Thanks I got that the first time.Given supply and demand I would say first off you are failing and second off when a customer needs something don’t just say too bad so sad and be rude about it. Maybe suggest an alternative or another U-Haul facility. Anyways called Penske and got a truck immediately. Same day same area. Never again U-Haul.
By fare the most unprofessional place I’ve dealt with in some time. They’ve rescheduled my trailer hitch installation 4 times with no apology or offer a discount for the inconvenience and having the nerve to act like I’m inconveniencing them if I needed to reschedule. I would highly suggest if you need a trailer hitch or anything else done, you look elsewhere!

I have now reserved 2 different u hauls for Saturday. First one called the day before and told me they have no trucks and I was s.o.l so I had to book a larger one half way across the state and they would not reduce any of the milage cost. I had no choice as I NEED the truck for Saturday I said yes. They just called me again and said the same thing and I could get one from another state for Monday again they would not reduce the milage cost. People call and reserve these in advanced because they are needed. Who are you to tell me someone elses reservation is more important then mine? What kind of business scam are you running? Get your act together or someone else will take your place. I hope people read this review and call someone else next time. Good luck in 21st century u-haul... Your gonna need it.

Had a hitch installed on my SUV. I had no problems making the appointment online. They started the work as soon as I arrived, had it done when they said they would and did a fine job with the installation. Staff was friendly. What more could I ask for?
We rented a 15 foot truck and an appliance dolly to move a refrigerator today (10/22/17). Everything pretty much went ok except for a few things. The parking is terrible, and one of the attendants who checks the trucks complained to us for parking out back for five minutes while I went inside to complete the paperwork for my rental. A few hours later when we returned the truck, the same attendant accused me of using the pads from the truck and then lying about it. We didnt use them and had only needed to strap the refrigerator inside of the truck. Apparently the seal on the bag of pads was broken and hadnt been noticed when we took the truck earlier.After a brief argument I said I would pay the extra 7 dollars for the pads I didnt use simply to diffuse the situation, as I had already spent $500 on a refrigerator and almost $60 for the truck rental. However the manager said we didnt have to pay it. All the attendant had to do was refer me to the manager, but instead he flatly said that we were lying. This, in my opinion was very disrespectful and unnecessary.
I wish I could put a zero star for this place. Customer service is so bad and they over charge you and try to rip you off. Check you bank account ones your done!!
Very rude and unwelcoming staff. Treated like you are below them, I am in upper management and the unwelcoming attitude from the manager is mortifying to say the least. Do not visit this location you will feel like you did something wrong for even walking in the door . The initial feeling is they do not want you in the store.
I made an appointment 2 weeks ago for a hitch. After waiting 30 minutes in line with people getting trucks, I was told the mechanic was running late. How could that be if I was the first appointment of the day? I was told it would take 45 minutes to install. I’m still waiting an hour and a half later.This is insane
The place is great! Their inventory is accurate and varied and they are quite good at managing and keeping reservations.The U-Haul site, on the other-hand, is challenging! It tries to get you to get things you may or may not need. Be carful when hitting next that you are not accepting roll of bubble-wrap or moving boxes. I almost had $140 worth of moving material shipped to my house that I did not need - thus the 4/5 stars (rather than 5/5).

Uhaul has gotten really bad customer service in the last few years. Today wasnt any better. The woman in the store acted like she couldnt be bothered when I was inquiring about moving supplies. Very impolite and no personality thats why I will never use Uhaul again in Massachusetts.

Quick & easy process to rent a van.
Waited in line for 1 hour and 20 minutes to be seen. Again, that is almost an hour and a half with about 6 people in front of me when I walked in. Management left one poor woman behind the counter to do just about everything. Awful and inexcusable experience.
Requested a pickup at 7am and they booked my rental for 10am. I was on hold for 15 minutes then they told me 10am was the earliest they could do for any truck. I wish I knew that days ago so I could make other accommodations.

Save yourself the trouble. I Downloaded the app... Completed my reservation hours ahead of time to not have it ready for me. . . Checked in... and couldnt find my truck. Went in for assistance and the workers were incompetent. They took 30 minutes to figure out what truck was mine. Looking all over the lot for it, to find it in the front parking.... blocked in.Not enough parking for customers. Probably enough room for employees to park their vehicles, though they do anyway.. and no parking for people to leave their vehicles behind while they rent the truck. You have people coming in from both entrencing jamming up the tiny parking lot, they didnt move out of the way for me to back out just parking their cars in the middle of the road blocking me in or staring at me blankly. This is has been my worst experience yet. With the staff and parking issues this will be the last time I come to this location. Total clusterf*ck.

Pricing is fair enough overall. White deceptive marketing this company is using. $19.95/day is a sneaky lure to bring in customers. Their price beats local competition regardless so I really wish they would not be so deceptive. After hidden fees I payed about $65.00 for 12 hours. That is a bit more than $19.95/day. Its more than triple. I dont mind paying. I mind being lied to. We all know there are going to be hidden fees so why hide them. Just be upfront. For that, Uhaul gets one star.
Expensive and infested with mice. The clerks are rude, they charge $100/mo for their smallest storage unit, they force you to buy one if their $10 padlocks even if you already have your own high-quality lock, and when I cleaned out my unit I found rodent turds on my stuff. I wish I was kidding. This place is awful.
I have been here three times for truck rentals and hitch installations. The employees are polite, professional, and very efficient. Look at the more extensive reviews on the Uhaul website to get a better understanding of recent customer experiences here.

Rented a trailer on a Friday, returned it the same day at about 2pm. Just got my credit card bill. Lo and behold I was charged for a two day rental. Called and was told they didnt check the trailer in until next day so I was charged an extra day. Said I had to go down and talk to a manager to straighten problem out. When I returned the trailer two lot attendants showed me where to park it and I was all set to leave, no need to do any paperwork. Wont make the mistake of listening to them again or renting from this place again either. Can anyone say unfair and deceptive business practices? Perhaps the attorney generals office may be interested to look in to these practices.

Customer service was not great and I had a mice issue 😳. Facilities are not clean, doors don’t always work, intercom systems don’t work. So I’ve moved to CubeSmart right down the street.

Made a reservation for four days, but the first day of the reservation found out that U-Haul had changed the reservation to less than 24 hours, without any notification. Forget getting a truck from U-Haul, wound up renting a minivan from National for way cheaper.
Horrible service, we were advised to wait in the parking lot and wait for someone to came and help us with the trailer, we waited 15 and my husband went inside and was told to wait in the car because the person was doing something else, we waited again for 20 minutes, and finally someone came.
