I have been here multiple times and everyone I mean EVERYONE is so nice and caring. It’s honestly weird how nice everyone is. I love it. I wish I had everyone’s name but today my best friend had something weird going on that his car was thumping. I immediately said we have to go to Mavis I love them. We went expecting the worst. A few hours later we got a call from Jade. It was a screw in the tire that was throwing off the balance. They plugged the hole and we went to pick it up. We show up and Jade said “no charge, it was an easy fix.” We couldn’t believe it. It’s a beautiful Audi and they could have easily been dishonest and tried to charge us $$$$$$$$$. I can’t recommend them enough.

Just got to a place where I can leave a review about Mavis Discount Tires in Wilkes Barre. It was a wonderful experience. Chris was a very skillful and diligent worker. I would like to thank him for taking very good care of my tire and myself. I would like to thank Mavis for being open on a Sunday as it was my only day off this week. Lastly, Mavis has very affordable prices for the work they do.Once again thank you to Chris and Mavis for a job expertly done.

We needed air in our Ram dually pickup, their free air machine outside only went to 70psi and we needed 80psi. Chris came right out and said that he would use their air compressor inside and get us filled right up.He was quick and and very nice. He got us back on the road within 5 minutes.Great service!! We were passing through PA when our check engine light came on. The car had been idling rough once we got off the interstate so we called Mavis to see if they could take a look. When we got there a young man named Jade helped us. He took the car in, diagnosed that it was the mass airflow sensor and proceeded to try and find the part. None of his dealers had the part so he said that we could probably clean it and it would be fine. While I was on the phone trying to find the part he was talking with my wife about his new baby that was due in 2 weeks. He was a very nice young man and knowledgeable as well. After checking many auto parts stores we finally found the cleaner and that did the trick. More businesses need people like Jade.

I’ve been bringing my Dodge Charger to Mavis for a few years now and have had no trouble with any problem I have had. I always bring my car to William Decker he is a great mechanic there. I would highly recommend bringing your vehicle to Mavis discount tire. 5 stars all around

Have been having my car repaired here for years. Recently had my car inspected and Donny and William were great. Donny’s assessments of my car are always clear, he explains what’s needed and how much it will cost. Never any surprises !

The guys at Wilkesbarre Mavis were great! We dealt with Jade who was more than helpful and informative. At the end of our appointment we were checked out by Chris who was also very helpful and kind. We were never pushed or swayed into buying more expensive tires. They listened to our needs and exceeded our expectations.

Fast service and a good tire. I was in and out in about an hour. Bought the Mavis performance tire. Handles nice and its really quiet. Only issue was the lugs were cranked super tight to the point that I couldnt have broken them free if I needed to change a flat on the roadside. Luckily I did my brakes all around when I got home. I needed a piece of pipe on my lug wrench to break the lugs free. Other than that, I will still buy from them again. I will just mention next time to use a proper torque setting on the lugs.

I had some work done on my front end. It took a day to fix, which I expected. They called before they started the work and gave me a price. In the end the price was less than quoted which was great. The guys in the shop were all friendly and knowledgeable. I already have another appointment to come back next week for my husbands car.

Had a flat tire from the night before, came here as it was the first place I found driving since I’m from NY I didn’t know the area very well, when I got in Jade welcome us with a smile and took my vehicle right away. He was super professional and nice. Fixed my tired in less then 10 mins. Amazing service !

William was very friendly and was able to bring to my attention several things that I would not have known had I not went to Mavis. My rear tire had a flat and one of my front tires was on its last leg with a bubble in it. Going to any other place would have meant waiting days to get new tires installed, Mavis was able to change my tires the same day very smoothly and quickly in just about 3 hours (give or take) even when they were quite busy when I went in!

Had a tire changed after a blowout. Great price and only took a few minutes. Mechanics were friendly and personable. Ill be back with any car needs I have.

We took both of our vehicles for tires, oil change and inspections. Our Baja needed some major work in order to pass inspection. (A total Lemon we purchased from a private dealer in W. Nanticoke). Nevertheless, we found Don and his staff pleasant, professional and very understanding. Dons expertise saved our car and our pockets. The facility was clean and we were more than pleased and surprised at the time it took to do the extra work, as well as the scheduled work on both cars as quickly as they did. Excellent job on what couldve been a pain in the... well, you get the jist- I needed a repair and was in a pinch for time and the staff ordered it, received it about an hour later, and installed it. Total time was about 2 hours... Quite impressive and straight forward start to finish. Definitely rocked!

Brought two rear tires from this place in October 2019 only to have to return on my donut spare within 3 months. I was sold faulty, bad tires that burst on the inside of the tire. Never, Ever Again will I return or reference this half wit inconsiderate, inconsistent drab business. I could have lost my life with the tires I was sold because of the blowout on the highway I had!!! They actually wanted me to purchase a whole new tire; like money grows on trees. No credit, or discount and then told the warranty doesnt cover the ripping of a tire on the inside. Make sure your tires are Not the recalled, recycled rejects this place pretends to not know its selling you.

I needed to fix a flat tire and called the tire shops nearby to find out how long it would take (it was Saturday morning and there was heavy snow on the floor). They each told me they could possibly get it done towards the end of the day or the next business day, Monday for some. I called Midas and they told me they could get me out in an hour or two! I was astonished and didn’t believe them... but I had allotted three hours for my tire to get repaired, so I gave them a try. They really got it done in an hour! Terrific customer service and great people! Thank you very much Midas! Highly recommend you stop by and give them a try as well!

I called about mid afternoon on a Saturday no less in complete distress! They guys got me in and done in less time then I was told. I would say everything took less than an hour! They were very courteous and explained everything to me that was wrong. I would definitely recommend Mavis on Kidder St!

I had a problem with my brakes. I went to Mavis to see if they fixed breaks. Yes we do. They listened to my problem and immediately took the car in to check it out. In 15 minutes time Don came out to explain to me the problem. He had me go into the garage with him so he could show me how bad the breaks were. He brought out a new pair of pads to show me what they should look like. He explained the problem was the back breaks were not aligned and werent being used at all. He taught me a thing or two on the upkeep of brakes. He told me what needed to be done and quoted me a price. It was too high for me to afford right now so he worked with me on a great price. The job was done in no time. He suggested I take the old parts to the place I bought the car and show the owner how bad they were. Originally the owner had told me he put new brakes on the car and I was nuts to think there was a problem. I took the parts and will show them to the man who sold me the car. The service was courteous quick and caring. I knew this because I always found it the same when I go to take care of my tires. I am very appreciative of the caring respectful treatment I received from Mavis today. I hope it never changes. Thanks

I cant recommend this place enough. Ive been bringing my car here for a few years now. They are honest, fast, and always do a great job. All the mechanics are great, but Don is the reason I keep coming back. He always takes the time to explain things to me (Im not really a car person) and gives me an idea of what I might want to keep an eye on. He is very kind and never makes me feel stupid no matter how many questions I ask. If I could give Mavis more than five stars, I would.

I went for 4 tires, and they did a thorough inspection of the under carriage of my car. Car rides like Im floating on a cloud with the new tires. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Took car there for a inspection sticker of course they didn’t allow me to get just that with out getting something else because the sticker is only worth 20 dollars ..so I’m allowed no safety flows and my breaks needed to be done ..but get the dumb thing that they did ..they only did the front breaks ..lmao wow ..really desperate for money …this is y I do my work on my own ..I didn’t need breaks lmao …do not visit this place unless u need tires ..

Thank you William, and the staff at Mavis on kidder st in Wilkes barre. I knew my alternator was dying but managed to make it to Mavis at the last minute. They got my car on a lift immediately and confirmed what I already knew. I thought this was worth mentioning because I was warned to never go there because I would get charged for a whole bunch of things that I didn’t need. That was not the case here. The mechanic diagnosed quickly, and William ordered my part and it was there within a half hour. I had no money on me, so they provided me an opportunity to open up a line of credit to cover my costs that day. As soon as my part came, they quickly fixed my car and I was in and out of there within 2 hours. They kept me informed constantly and I felt like a valued customer. My car runs like new and I haven’t had any issues since I was there a few weeks ago. These guys were great and I highly recommend them.

I thought this place was great in the beginning.This would have been my 3rd time coming to get things done.I made an appointment in 2 weeks .Prior to my appointment the day before I called to make sure I would have enough money with me.So I asked how much is it going to be to give me 2 snow tires and maybe breaks all the way around.The guy on the phone said $1140.Wait what .Put on the breaks on that.What is the price for the breaks $600 and the tires $500 for 2.You got to be out of your mind.Or did you just make up a number and expect me to pay it.Are you kidding me.You lost my business and my money.

I got out of work and discovered I had a flat tire and a flat spare, I had my vehicle towed to Mavis and the team working that day fixed me up with new tires and I was on my way to enjoy the rest of my day.
