I purchased 2 bikes and a baby seat. I don’t know the first thing about maintenance or even the type of bike I wanted. I think I came in 3 times before I finally made the plunge and bought them. The sales guys were super friendly, and I didn’t feel like I was pushed towards anything. I definitely felt like I could trust them and they had my best interest in mind.

Bought my first big boy bike (Trek Marlin 6) from Bicycle X-Change in May of 2020. Have put lots of miles on it since then, and have taken it back to BXC for all maintenance/repairs. They have ALWAYS taken great care of me, and gone above/beyond. Was on a ride downtown last weekend, and began having some chain rub. Our son recently moved to Denver and wanted to purchase a bike. NONE are to be found in Colorado. We decided to go to Bicycle Exchange to see if they had the brand of bike our son was looking for. My husband and I helped our son via facetime with the help of Patrick purchase a Trek Marlin 5 bicycle. He was a great salesman and answered all of our sons questions. Our son made arrangements to come home to ICT and pick up the bike the following Saturday. Because our sons plans changed and he was not able to come home we arrived an hour early to the store on Saturday with our truck ready to transport the bike to Denver to our son. Colbe (hope I spelled that right?) LET US INTO THE STORE EARLY and allowed us to pickup our sons bike. That act of kindness allowed my husband to get on the road to Denver (after securing it to our truck) earlier than expected. Our son received his bike and absolutely LOVES it. I just wanted to express how impressed I am with this local business and the customer service our family received.

We went to check out a bike for our 4 year old and got exactly what we were looking for. Great service by the owner! He answered every question and made it easy to decide on a bike for us. Even the price was amazing. The best bike shop I’ve been to by far. He is one happy kid.

Excellent customer service. I needed a small Fuji part that I could not get locally to facilitate mounting fenders on my bike. I got in touch with Mike at the shop in Wichita, and he took the time to order the part from the distributor right away. He then followed up with a phone call to let me know it was headed my way, and refused to take payment for the item! I really appreciated his follow through and positive attitude!

$900 bike only got offered $150 because I beat the brakes off the person who stole my bike and got my parts back but hey you lost a good customer happy Hanukkah and merry new year I will never step foot in your shop and I will never ask for a bike again obviously my money wasnt green enough for you 😜

I bought a bike here toward the end of business hours and asked if they could have it assembled and ready to go by the next morning, and the guys at the shop delivered! They put in the work for me and and got the bike assembled and ready to go in short order, same day, and did a great job. Really great customer service! I was impressed by how polite and helpful each of the employees was as well.

Cannot recommend highly enough! They were able to get our bikes tuned up within a couple of hours even though our service period had already ended, and the only reason it took them that long was they were busy with their huge annual bike donation project. Excellent local business to patronize!

I was born in Wichita, and in my 52 years I had never been in Bicycle Exchange. I had been looking for new bicycle for myself as I hadn’t bought one since my high schools days. I was quite impressed with the shop and Jay (Salesman) was very helpful in assisting me locate a Hybrid Mountain Bike. I decided to buy the bike and brought my wife in with me to pick it up. We were eventually going to look for her a bike, but after Jay showed her some bikes, it made since we purchase her a bike as well. Jay assisted us with getting the appropriate accessories (More comfortable seat, lights, cell phone holder, helmets, and a bike bag for my wife). It was a great one stop shop experience where all of our needs were met. Finally, we us having limited space in our cars to take our bikes home, Jay made arrangements to deliver the bikes to our house. Now, we may be looking for a new bike for my son as his bike has run its course. We plan to buy it at Bicycle Exchange. Thank you again for the great service.

My exercise bike died. I thought I would just have to buy a new one. I went to the Bicycle X-Change and they knew what was wrong and had the part to fix it. So for about $20 I have a working exercise bike again. They were very helpful.

We went to three other bike shops in town who had no inventory that met my wifes needs. Bicycle X-Change has a HUGE inventory and had several dozen bikes that met her needs. They even gave us discounts on accessories. Highly recommend.

This shop doesn’t treat women very well. The shop guys seemed alright but the owner was not nice at all. Went in to get my bike updated with simple break tightening and chain oil. Was absolutely not a great experience.So disappointing!

Nothing but good things to say about this shop. Bought a gravel bike from them a couple months back and they were very helpful in getting me on the right bike with the right equipment and everything. The owners son has helped me a number of times since I’ve been back and he’s the man. The shop gets busy as hell but he’s always running around doing everything he can do to help everyone. Highly recommend this place if you want a bike, gear, tune-up or whatever it may be! You’re in good hands!!

Its a great shop. They have everything you need for your bike and they sell them! I have only bought bikes from Wally World or online and man these babies are pricey. The guy said $400 for the most affordable bike. They looked great but we wanted to get two and we wouldnt mind a used bike or refurbished. He suggested a shop down the street. But even the used ones there were similarly priced. Holy $H!# bikes are expensive.

The owner personally gave me a call to discuss the service I received from the shop. He has offered for me to bring the bike back in to ensure all serviced components are in great shape. I appreciate his onus of service and offering for me to bring the bike back in.

Went in there with a mission and the young tech Derek (not sure on spelling) was extremely helpful and kind. The owner, the bike man himself, was there as well and was making sure everyone was safe and taken care of during these uncertain times. I am going back soon to get a second bike! This place is awesome!

I went in the shop this morning and from the moment I set foot in the door the person behind the cash register was extremely rude. He later stated that he was the owner. I have never been treated so rudely..especially in a small business like this. I never even made it to the point of trying on spin shoes.. I just had to leave. Found out later in the day from several friends that I am not the only one to have this problem and I was also told that the owner has issues with helping women especially. I am big on supporting local business but I will never again set foot in this place.

Made an initial phone call to the store and the guy was extremely nice in a genuine way. I had to take my bike in for a repair. When I got there the excellent customer service continued. Jack was extremely friendly and fixed up my bike with ease. Also, the rates were great! I was blown away and will definitely take my return business to them. Thanks guys keep up the great work!

Love this place! I like to look around.they have a big variety of bicycles and accessories I have had small service for my bike and they were quick to fix it. All the staff seem friendly. The rad guy helping me actually asked me if I would like to think about my choices of the bikes I was interested In. He gave me time to think! No pressure is a big factor for me! Thanks! Very knowledgeable! I asked to test ride a bike (almost ran over someone....) and told them I was just looking around and not ready to buy. They said no worries! Still take it for a spin. I would shop here if I was you!

Staff does not like to provide top notch service. Theyre unfriendly and they dont seam to care that Im dropping $600 on a kids bike. I asked a staff member to switch out a helmet last minute before the sale and they acted like it was an inconvenience. Love the bikes and variety in store, but thats about it. Whe I need a bike for my next child I will be going elsewhere.

I wanted to get a new bicycle for my wife and I. I recently was shown the difference between department store bikes and good bikes. I have had quite a few bikss from Walmart over the years and was ok with them. I would get the ones that had all the stuff and they seemed to be fair. I recently started riding more seriously and my bike just didnt hold up. I bought another department store bike and it didnt last either. My friend let me ride his Trek and the difference cant even be explained. So I decided if I was going to continue to ride i needed a better bike. Everywhere I went bikes were in short supply. They were the only shop that had stock. They showed me a lot of things I didnt even know. Very friendly very helpful. Strongly recommend.

I took an antique Schwinn trike in to basically be rebuilt. They were very upfront about the price (which admittedly was a little steep, not awful but on the high side) and stayed perfectly within the budget initially set out. They were honest and even pointed out the rebuild to final worth ratio (which was accurate) to make sure I wanted to spend that much on that trike. I couldnt have asked for more due diligence on their part. They just didnt understand the emotional connection to THAT trike. Understandable. The trike rides/shifts great.👍

I am very new to mountain biking/trail riding. I did some research of my own into the type of bike I wanted. After diving deeper into my own research and going to some local shops I quickly realized I needed to increase my budget. Originally I was looking at $400 and upped it to $600 due to mostly talking to Patrick at bicycle exchange. I told Patrick my intent on trail riding, my price range, and questions I had on purchasing a bike. I left there that afternoon and ended up coming back that early evening to purchase the Trek Marlin 5. Patrick was with another customer and so another guy helped me and upon confirming my bike size and what I wanted he got me going on the purchase. He highly recommended the kickstand and sealant which I went with. He tried to sell a few more things but I knew it was over my budget already so I said no. I left pretty happy and ready to hit a trail with a few friends the next day. When I went to ride with my friends the following day I showed up and immediately they told me the kick stand had to go because it would get caught up along the trail. Totally makes sense to me but made me feel kinda dumb. So the kickstand was chucked. After talking to Patrick at bicycle exchange he offered to refund the kickstand or give me some store credit for when Im ready to purchase other gear/upgrades. I appreciate their willingness to return an item that I quickly learned would be of no use to me! They are very respectful and great to work with!If you are new to biking or even an expert I recommend checking this place out. Family owned, local, and they have a great selection!

LOVE this place. Every time I go in, everyone is so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! As a woman, cycling gear selection etc can be a bit intimidating and everyone at the X change is quick to eliminate any of those intimating feelings. I have worked with Patrick extensively trying to get appropriately fitted on a bike and he has been nothing short of a miracle worker in getting me comfortable and out there riding! He, and all of the staff, go above and beyond to make all of your cycling needs - from bike and equipment selection to fitting - easy and fun. Cant recommend this place highly enough!

My family and I have done business with Bicycle X-change for nearly 35 years. When it comes to customer service, repair work, purchases, or knowledge in the scope of cycling, there is simply no other place in south-central Kansas that matches the sum total experience that these great people offer. I recently purchased a new bike, and when it was damaged, I brought it in and it was repaired and ready to go in (less) than a week’s time, and at a fair and transparent price. As an added bonus to all of that, the neighborhood they are in is a great place to explore and ride around.

As a female cyclist its intimidating to walk into a shop especially when you are new to the sport and still familiarizing yourself with the sport and terminology, but in my experience with Bicycle X-Change Ive never felt more comfortable walking into a shop. They listen to me and make me feel heard, have a wide selection of womens specific gear and parts, and are happy to educate me on any questions I might have with resources and knowledge at the ready. Our six year old daughter loves going in and feels at home and welcome as well.They are hands down the best shop in town.

I went into Bicycle X-Change just looking for some accessories for my boyfriend and Is new bicycles that we purchased online. We rode our bikes to the store and were welcomed warmly and even had a spot inside to put our bikes (one of the items needed was a bike lock). After a lot of browsing and questions, we purchased our accessories and wanted to put them on the bikes before our ride home. Not only were we assisted, but we were helped with other parts of putting our bike together that normally are charged for. This place makes you feel not only welcomed, but like family. Highly recommend and will not go to any other bike shop in Wichita.

Expert staff. First time here getting bike fixed and was treated respectfully and not talked down to. Remarkably fast service and better prices than other places I checked. HUGE selection of bikes, and accessories, to fit every person. Bikes I never knew existed. Definitely worth just stopping in to look around, will come back.

They have always provided great service to me, but recently they out did themselves. I busted a carbon rim (my fault) and faced multiple issues to replace it and the other rim. They worked with the factory to rebuild my wheels with an upgrade and provided services at not nearly what I feared would be the cost. They did all this in about 10 days. They definitely worked with me on this issue.

Centrally located in Delano, knowledgeable friendly, staff and an impressive inventory. Mike and Jack never disappoint- customer satisfaction is a real priority at the X-change. I’ve been throwing money at this place for 30 years- you should too.

Super-friendly and knowledgeable staff. Located in a cool neighborhood with a new brew-pub right around the corner. I have now purchased 25 bikes form Bicycle Exchange. They can sell you bikes all day long and do a great job. I had a really tricky warranty issue on a frame purchased 10 years ago. Mike went above and beyond working with the manufacturer to get the frame replaced and the new ride built back up. Go see the Bike Man for great bikes and great after the sale service.

Friendly staff and great selection! Been a customer for years and still visit occasionally from out of state. They have a wide variety of bikes and brands to choose from. Ive boughten several bikes from here and theyve always been straight with me through the purchase and after. If you need repairs or want to upgrade they have a good knowledgeable set of mechanics as well as lots of aftermarket parts to choose from. I would recommend this to anyone whether youre looking to start riding, are a hardcore cyclist, or just want to browse a cool place.

One of the best bike shops in town. Went to check out the new cross tourers and the service was excellent. They didnt have the size I was looking for but were great about getting it ordered and here in a timely manor, even in the midst of their renovation. I love the new look of the showroom and will continue to be a repeat customer for years to come.

I have been looking for a good bike that I could both commute to work on, as well as go trail riding with, but none of the shops in the Kansas City area where I live were very helpful. Since my family lives in Wichita and I was going down for the weekend for a visit, I decided I was going to check out some shops in Wichita. Bicycle X-Change was the first and it turned out the only shop I needed to go to. The people there spent well over an hour helping me and educating me instead of telling me. They found the perfect bike for me, gave me a great price, and even installed the bike rack on my car so I could get it back to Kansas City. Wonderful business! My granddaughters bicycle was stolen off their front porch and she relied on it to get around. Being unable to replace it I contacted Bicycle X-Change and she was one of the many people that they have now provided bicycles for. Our visit to the store was worth the trip just for the Old Town atmosphere. The store is filled with most anything bike related you might need and the employees are friendly and helpful. I found out while we were there that you can rent bikes to check out Wichita and the bike trails too! Old Town is very bike friendly and has hitching posts along the edge of the sidewalks to lock you bike too. So rent a bike a check out Old Town. :)

My wife and I recently went to look at bikes as she is normally one to research everything prior to purchasing. Michael Patrick spent so much time wth us, explained the differences between each type of bike, had us try several different models to experience the differences, and answered ALL of her questions thoroughly.
