I have bought from multiple dealerships over the years and never had an issue until buying from Ken Garff. I bought the truck approx. 7 weeks ago now. The dealership agreed to fix issues related to the check engine light being on, as well as the broken antenna. They would not replace the tires, so I purchased tires with them when I bought the truck. Week after week I heard nothing regarding the tires or parts for my truck. I patiently reached out a few times, asking for a time frame when those would come in, and no one would get back to me. Management never answered my phone calls. I always got sent to voicemail, and when someone in sales would answer I was put on hold or they would say hello, anyone there? and then hang up on me. Finally I had to call a gentleman in parts to get answers, and he was able to see one part was ordered but couldnt see anything ordered for my antenna or tires. He delivered the message to sales for me. I was within days of driving on expired temp tags and still hadnt received an answer regarding my truck. I politely reached out and expressed that I still hadnt heard anything regarding my truck and asked for a new temp tag. The sales associate told me to continue driving with the expired temp tag! I am Law Enforcement and told them that I was not going to do that and demanded a new temp tag. The part and tires came in and I was never contacted. Yet again, I had to contact the dealership to find out that they were there. When I received my truck back after getting the new tires put on and the check engine issue fixed, all 4 of my wheels were damaged, they were in new condition when I bought the truck. The dealership had no remorse for their staffs mistake and was not empathetic towards damaging my truck. Then proceeded to offer to touch up the wheels with paint! My check engine light is still on, the antenna was never fixed and now wheels that are $500 a piece are damaged. My Father and I have contacted the dealership multiple times, trying to get a day scheduled that I can bring the truck in to get fixed, and they continued to blow us off. The only positive I can give credit to was dealing with Jake in financing, he was super friendly, personable and excellent at communicating. I have done all the work communicating with the dealership regarding everything else. Ken Garff was already paid and received the money for my truck and the tires weeks ago. I am only asking that they honor our original agreement, to fix the issues regarding the truck when I bought it so it can pass emissions and to replace the wheels that their staff damaged. They have no respect for a paying customers time or money, extremely poor communication. I would never recommend this dealership and will never bring my business back here again.

My wife and I were car shopping next door at Ken Garff Ram/Jeep/Chrysler and decided to quickly run our Ford Escape to just have the skid plate put back on. Tech Ryan Jackman took us in on a Saturday and inspected our Escape and found a small oil leak. Though we did not have time to put the skid plate back on, Ryans diagnosis was much appreciated and he even insisted on not charging us despite the teams time! Communication with Ryan was thorough, friendly, honest, and prompt.If Im ever back out this way and need our Escape serviced, I would definitely trust this service team based on my experience!

We’ve been looking for a specific older model car, and every one we’ve seen has been beat up and overpriced. We didn’t expect much when we saw that Ken Garff Ford had one in stock. But the car was exactly what we wanted, our salesman Dave was fantastic. The entire team was great. How often can you say that about buying a used car? So if you’re in salt lake and need a Ford, go to Ken Garff and ask for Dave.

Dave and Becca (sales team) were both just incredible. They worked with me as a first time buyer, and made sure I drove away with a car I would be happy with for my son and I. They were truly amazing, considerate, and kind. 🖤 They gave my son Legos to take home, and made sure we were not only in a great car, but that we had a great experience in the building as well. I needed a pigtail connector for the vehicle Im working on. I wasnt able to describe the location with enough accuracy to let Hermes in the parts department find it over the phone so he had me email a picture of the location and which pigtail then went above whats necessary and found a technician at the dealership to help find the part in the system. He then messaged me price and availability once I gave him the okay he set the pigtail in will call so I wouldnt be sold before I could get there. Over all excellent customer service and very genuine when I came to going the extra mile. Absolutely love the parts department here!

I should have been better about knowing how much the 30,000 mile check would cost me, but I didnt and no one went over the costs until I had to pay the $800. I feel I should have been made aware that what they were going to do would cost me that much money. I appreciate that they did a great job except they did not vacuum my car. So my review is low for lack of communication, not the work.

Great experience. the sales staff was very knowledgeable and the financial department went out of their way to find the best loan for us which was far better than the original offer. I felt no undue pressure and they listened to all that I was looking for without trying to push us into something we were not interested in. I would highly recommend them.

My salesman was great. Finance process was outstanding. Only issue was the follow up after buying the vehicle. The truck had a check engine light on that the dealership promised to address the next week (purchased on a Friday night). When I called to get it taken care of they told me they couldn’t get it in for another 3 weeks. This is not what I was told when I drove off the lot. Had to go through another dealership to get it taken care of since it was a warranty issue.

Bret Allen, the sales manager, was knowledgeable and professional.On an even brighter note, David Mack, displayed exemplary customer service and I wish to make sure he is recognized. David was VERY knowledgeable and helpful, and in a very real way, saved this purchase for you. He went over the technology of the vehicle, hands on, and really made my experience worthwhile. When most everybody else left me with a feeling that they really didnt care about my purchase, David made the difference. He should be highly commended! You need more people like him.Now, please let me discuss some truly uncomfortable customer pain points. First, there was no new stock on hand, PAIN POINT. I know that Covid-19 played part in this, however, this was a huge obstacle and nearly made me go to another brand entirely.Next, your staff, with the exceptions noted above, had terrible customer service. I realize the difficulty with lack of stock on hand, having to pre-order, and wait for vehicles to be built, transported and arrive. But your team acted anything but like a team.Next, there was no follow through between departments. Parts department said this, service department said that. You have to pay here for this and there for that. I must have made 5 transactions. It looks and feels like the parts, service and sales departments are separate companies, even though you are all under one roof, PAIN POINT. Even if so, there needs to be better continuity and follow through when you’re spending tens of thousands of dollars.I bought my truck on Wednesday August 11, 2021. My salesperson wasnt even there, I made an appointment with Kourtney, it is her day off, PAIN POINT. What? Why did you make an appointment with me and then not be there? Sure, everybody deserves to have their time off, but at least explain that you wont be there, tell me somebody else will and make sure it gets communicated. I walked in, told the receptionist I was there, and it was a mad scramble to find someone to help me. Luckily David finally assisted me.I purchased accessories after the fact, because they wouldnt pre-order my accessories until I paid for the truck. So, I didnt get to take my vehicle home on day one, PAIN POINT. David and I personally walked over to the parts department, and we ordered 5 additional accessories. Jermes in parts said that he would order the parts.I was told that Brandon in service on Thursday would install my spray-in liner, and then it was supposed to receive the Perma Plate add-ons afterwards. Thursday late afternoon, I called to check the status. Brandon said only the spray-in was done. The truck sat there idle the whole afternoon. He said the rest was a sales thing, not a service thing. But I texted David to let him know, PAIN POINT.I also called Jermes about the parts status, he said the integrated back seat under storage didnt even have an OEM part number, even though its on the Ford build-it website, PAIN POINT. Still waiting for Ford to decide when it wants to sell me this once available, if ever.So, I called Bret and explained the trouble that Id been having and asked for his help. He agreed to make sure that the Perma Plate add-ons and any accessories that arrive would be installed and ready for me to pick up on Saturday by 5 pm. Saturday at 5 pm, service was still installing accessories, the truck wasnt ready, PAIN POINT. While waiting for service to finish, David walked in at 6:30 pm to explain that they will need more time, PAIN POINT. He wouldnt be able to go over the vehicle with me and asked me to come in Monday at 11 am once it was ready. Finally, FIVE days later I was able to drive home with my new truck.Customer service needs to be better. Ken Garff Ford, if someone pays over $90,000 for a vehicle and gets treated this way, they probably won’t be back.

After taking my car in for a recall on the transmission control module I found that my rearview mirror was broken I was told call service manager and giving his card.After trying serval times to get ahold of the service manager Chad Nalderhe did eventually get back to me and we where able to come to an agreement were he would make it right by covering the cost of the mirror.Im still waiting on the recall but that understandably is due to the state of thinks post COVID19Not the best experience but in the end they made it right and that is what counts.TLDR: broke my rearview mirror, after a month and a half we made a deal to cover damages

We had the best experience today. My husband and I went in with a listed vehicle on line that we were interested in. Unfortunately they did not have this one available. Preston was amazing and he never made us feel pushed into anything. He looked for another one we could at least test drive. But he actually ended up finding what we were looking for. I can’t say enough about Preston, he was professional and very relaxed and patient with us. He handled all our questions. He made sure we knew exactly what we were getting and how much with out any hidden agenda. I have never felt more relaxed at a larger dealership. And I will definitely be back when we are ready for another big purchase. Jake in finance took care of us as well with helping us choose the right financing options and warranties. Had a really bad experience. I was sold a broken vehicle. How could your company do that to me. I was tricked into the whole purchase situation. I am a single mom with 7 children. Now my kids walk to and from school because we dont have a vehicle. Jake the financial guy was rude. Chris the manager forced the sale on me. JR the sale agent didnt disclose to me that the vehicle is broken.... overheated. I dont trust your company and hope that you guys keep the vehicle and I go and look somewhere else. Your company is playing with my life and kids life.

I am on their advantage care program (a bundled discount for oil changes, car rotations and car wash). JD, the service rep, was super on top of it, easy to communicate with. I also received a video recording from the serviceman who checked my car and gave me some things to keep my eye on, what looks good and suggestions for replacement. Over all good experience!

They took care of me even though I bought my vehicle elsewhere.When I was in the market for a new truck, again from top to bottom they made it easy and were so nice and easy to work with.This dealership is all around classy from sales and especially service.I highly recommend Mitch in the sales department, he is incredibly nice, not pushy at all, and if he doesnt know an answer, he goes and finds out insteaf of BSing he way through.

Came in and talked to a service advisor about getting my warped dashboard replaced. Gave them all the information they needed to begin the warranty work and have never heard back. This was over two months ago. I have called fived times, left three messages for the service advisors, one message for the service manager, and have twice asked to have a manager call me. No responses. Two months. Who knows if they even ordered the part. My truck is almost out of warranty and at this rate I will not get the work done in time. We are very loyal Ken Garff Honda customers (that is why we chose to purchase our new Ford from a Ken Garff dealership), so it is so disappointing to see such poor service from a company that we otherwise trusted.

I sold them my Mustang because I just needed to save more money. I still had about 14000 to pay off. Kelly Blue Book listed my cars worth at 16-18k I only wanted 14k so I could just be rid of it. They gave me one offer at 12k and wouldnt budge. Ultimately I sold it to them and they flipped it around and a week later listed it at 24000 dollars. Most the people I talked to here were nice but the guy who checked my car out was incompetent and would only glance at my car rather than really look into it. My fault for selling it but its sad to know I got ripped off.

Service is good and I love that they send a quick video of the inspection. However over an hour and a half for a scheduled oil change? If I am in a rush, I can change the oil myself in 10 min. 20 should be plenty of time in a full service shop. Especially when you have an appointment.

Incredible runaround with this dealership wasting a ton of my time. Didnt respect my contact preferences (calling me and texting me dozens of times just to eventually tell me to go online to place the order), forcing unwanted extras onto my order at the upcharge of several thousand dollars, and the final thorn in my side was a $3,500 upcharge because I dont need financing from them specifically. Theyre charging me MORE money as a penalty for not wanting to pay interest on their loan.Absolutely shameful.

We were promised a $2k rebate if we financed through Ford. Time came to fill out paperwork and they didnt give a rebate on price claiming the price we paid had the rebate in it already. They actually told us that all of their marketed prices assume people will finance with Ford so the rebate is already calculated in final price. They also added $3800 warranty when specifically told not to. We had to go in the next day to get it removed. Not trust worthy.

I worked a deal for two days over the phone and email on a 60k vehicle. They asked me to drive up and finalize the paperwork and they bait and switched me. When I got there it was 4k higher than we we discussed. Cost me 2.5 hours of my day. Not a great was to treat your customer. Ken Garff I hope you hear me. I appreciated the call back and the professional way he handled my experience. I am waiting on another follow up, but I guess he did hear me.

I have been servicing my car here for a few years. These guys are super friendly, great at communicating issues, and very fast. They also are great at problem solving issues that other auto repair places created. If that is not enough to convince you then the delicious free lattes in the waiting area should.

I was very impressed by the service I received. I was kept informed, by text, every step of the service. The technician sent videos of his inspection of my vehicle so I could see exactly what he saw.Kevin at the West Valley facility was my contact. He was very friendly and professional, answered every call I made and followed up with answers to my questions. I did not have to leave any messages, a real person answered every call.I felt the price was fair and service was completed as promised. I would definitely recommend this facility.

THE best place to buy a car! My husband bought a car from these guys, Austin was his salesman, a couple years ago. I bought a car from Austin last year so when my 72 year old mom needed a new car this is where we went. Everyone at the dealership was so kind to her and so helpful. They were quick and had everything ready for her. Scott, the sales manager met her and made sure she was happy. Austin took great care of her too. The finance person, Matthew, explained everything to her clearly and was so kind. Highly recommend this dealership and these people!

I made an appointment to get my oil changed. The appointment was at 7 o’clock in the a.m. I went back to get my truck at 8:30. And it was not done. I believe it was JD. Told me that it’s a first come first serve basis. I told him I had an appointment that’s when my truck should’ve been done. He did not seem to care. Not sure I’ll ever go back. Call the guy to discuss it left a message and never heard back from him either

In the hot truck sales market in Utah right now I have been disgusted looking at trucks at other dealerships and have been treated so poorly by salesmen as I am looking for a specific size truck within my budget. Their short term gains will be their long term losses. As someone spending most of my life in sales I was surprised at the how I was treated.David Mack was very professional and respectful to me as he helped me go through the process to look at a used truck and ultimately purchase it. I cant say enough about how well I was treated by David. I have given his contact information to several people asking where I found a good truck and how was I treated.On a side note I was disappointed in the service department as I was told that they would not repair a critical safety issue with my side mirror. While driving, the mirror closes and I am not able to see traffic on my driver side. They let me know it was too expensive to repair. David shared this news with me and I could tell that this bothered him. It is hard to find a good truck right now and I either had to pass on the truck or figure out how to repair it myself.

I am beyond disappointed with the service at this dealership! We took our truck in for an issue with the 4 wheel drive 3 months ago and they found the transfer case needed to be replaced, so we said lets do it, but they had to order parts and said they would be in by May, May comes and we dont hear back, so we call and they say another couple weeks, a couple weeks pass, and nothing... So we call again, more excuses and we get told a couple more weeks. Its the end of June at this point and we are starting to worry it wont be done in time for a camping trip we have planned mid July. We call again! And they say oh ya weve got your parts.. never called or anything! So we schedule it to be done. We drop it off on a Wednesday and they call a few hours later saying they wouldnt be able to even start it until the next week! Now we are down to the wire and its still not done! I will NEVER use this dealership again. They are rude and could care less about how they treat us.

TL:DR; Dont waste your time. Go Somewhere Else.The ineptitude of this dealership as a whole is mind-boggling.On our test drive we noticed the vehicle was lacking SIGNIFICANT power so I pulled the air filter. It was SATURATED with fresh motor oil and dripping everywhere!There was a good 2-3 ounces pooled up in the air box below.(This was a result of pumping new oil in too quickly causing it to backflow through the PCV hose).In addition, the engine had too much oil in it, indicating a full 1/4 above the entirety of the indicator.Mistakes happen - thats OK.Issue #1, Service department:The service department told me this was an oil based filter and it was normal!! And that the vehicle oil level was fine! (It clearly wasnt.) I own several vehicles with oil based filters (3 of them, all with the same engine as the vehicle we test drove.) and have cleaned them myself. This was CLEARLY motor oil. And Im 100% sure they knew that, just lying to me to save face. Air filter oil is NOTHING like motor oil.To their credit they replaced the filter with a K&N, however they did NOT clean any of the oil out. I picked the vehicle up for inspection and upon removing the air bubble, I could see pools of motor oil every where. The MAF sensor was completely coated. I took the time to properly clean the air box and remove the excess oil. The new filter did resolve most of the power issues but it still wasnt 100%. Im guessing the plugs were fouled as well, or perhaps the MAF sensor needed a good cleaning.At this point we had stated we were going to purchase the vehicle (it was still under power train warranty), and we did not worry about coming down in price. (It was priced well to begin with.) We had an In and Out deal with a buyer of our vehicle and brought him in for qualification.Issue #2, FinancingAfter bringing our In and Out buyer in, we were told financing was leaving early that night and had 3 more deals ahead of us. So we got our buyers credit pulled so financing could finish via phone the following morning. At this point I told the salesman we had cash on hand and could make this deal happen regardless of the buyers outcome. The next day our buyer never heard back from financing!Issue #3, Reception, SalesThe next morning I was lead to believe by sales that we were waiting for our In and Out buyer to get qualified. Our salesman wasnt in the office that day but was still working with me via text (which I appreciate!) I waited a few hours and called our buyer only to find Financing NEVER contacted him. I asked the salesman for the all-in cost so I could get the funds but I never got a response on that. So at this point I called the dealership and asked if their sales manager was available (Brett). The receptionist told me he was available and transferred me to him. I got voicemail. Left a message and waited an hour. They didnt return my call, so I called back. This time the same receptionist told me Brett wasnt in the office today! Cool. So I politely asked for an AVAILABLE sales manager, and of course, I got transferred to a voicemail.Rather than leaving another useless voicemail I drove straight in. By the time I got there I noticed an employee getting out of the vehicle we wanted, with a stack of papers in hand. We know how this ends. They sold the vehicle to someone else.We had the funds we needed, didnt even need a loan. We never talked down price. We clearly stated intent to buy, and that we had the funds. During this ordeal we spent hours of time across 3 different visits to get this done. And we left empty-handed.While we really liked our salesman, the lack of communication between all departments was very disappointing.I dont believe this fiasco was any one persons fault. But a culmination of mistakes in every department.For that reason, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your next purchase, if possible.Good luck out there.

Originally I had gone to some dealership down on state street, and that was a terrible experience! So we headed over to check out a mustang at Ken Garff and had the best and easiest experience! Left with the car I wanted at a great price! Great customer service! Highly recommend :Update on rating lowered to 1 star . do to dealer not sending title for vehicle to my county treasure and now it is almost 2 months from original date of purchase and still can’t get register the car I am paying for.Update : took leaving above rating to finally get any real answers or movement on any of it. Still like the car very much so

In service Kevin is amazing, he kept us informed about was going on with out truck, he also would call and ask permission before performing any type of maintenance that wasnt discussed previously, and always got back to us in a timely manner. Was very willing to explain certain things, especially as to why certain parts needed to be replaced. Was honest with us on wether or not a part had to be replaced... I will definitely bring all my fords to this dealership for service. 10x better then Larry Miller Ford in draper.

My son had a appt to get his transmission fluid serviced. They did a oil change as well. The service manager acted line the did not want to service it. They will take his 250 dollars though! Haha! Once the diagnostic was done on my car, he called me and went into detail about the problem, everything that needs to be fixed and a breakdown of the costs. They were able to work on my car earlier than my “scheduled” Appt and was able to get it back to me quickly.

I am a long time customer of Ken Garff in general, I have been going to Ken Garff Nissan for 6 years with my wife’s car and Ken Garff Honda downtown for almost 29 years for my cars and all of my kids as they had Honda’s starting out.This is my first experience with Ken Garff Ford, I bought a car from Honda and this is my first Ford. I wasn’t sure about the transmission because the Honda technicians said it was fine but I knew something was wrong. I took it to Ford and they educated me with this Midel of car, what problems it’s had in the past and how they can resolve it.Not being lied to shows me the honesty Ken Garff Ford has, also the communication and helping me with the cost of fixing this car so it has a warranty down the road.You have a new customer for life.

I wish I could give this 0 stars!! The service department at this dealership has had our truck for almost 8 weeks now and it’s still not fixed!!! All it needed was for the A/C to be fixed and it’s been one thing after another that they say it has to be and then when they replace that, it’s still not working! We are almost $2,000 down the drain and still no A/C. Brandon (the service writer) has specifically not called us several times and we have to call to get any updates. He has only ever called a handful of times in the several weeks that they’ve had it. We are so beyond upset and will not be using them ever again! We have loved ken garff up until now, but we will never use them again after this experience. Hoping that we get our truck back soon and with working A/C!
