I stopped in the shop this past summer needing a specific chain tensioner for my single speed and Dave went above a beyond to get me set up with one. I was taking a rest day in the middle of a bike tour and working on fixing a few things on my bike. I visited/called more than 8 shops with no luck. I met Dave at Bicycle Pro Shop and after learning the shop did not have the part, he mentioned he had a used one at home. Later that evening, Dave met up with me and I got the part I needed to keep going the next day as planned. Really helpful and appreciated!
Best shop in the DC area, I bought a road bike and had such a good experience that I bought a mountain bike there too. The staff are easygoing and knowledgeable; they are a great shop for the mid-to-High end merchandise. They’re not snobby or elitist like other high end places can be. Every purchase comes with a free fitting, which is a $100 value. They also provided free adjustments for a year which was great.
I just went to this place to buy a helmet and lock and also ask for advice on how to buy the right bike for me. These guys were extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Highly recommend visiting this shop.
I just went in today and faced horrid customer service. I came in about a part that was fixed a month ago that broke again, and a customer service agent yelled at me like I had done something wrong. When they said they didn’t accept card, I took it as a convenient excuse to get my repair at the Trek store down right down the street. I actually had cash, but this experience totally lost their business. I plan on never coming back here — this was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced at any store and will take my business to stores that treat me like a customer and not an annoyance.
Bicycle Pro Shop is simply the best! Where else are you going to find a friendly, knowledgeable, honest bunch of bike enthusiasts with extraordinary customer service who won’t try and sell you stuff you don’t need? I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years and have consistently received the same wonderful service every time I call or walk in the door. I’m pretty sure Garrett must just sleep under the counter at night because he is always there and ready to assist :-). I’ll be taking my professionally repainted vintage bike frame in there in a few week to be rebuilt. I know they will make it amazing.
Awesome bike shop, best in DC area. These guys wont just sell you any bike, they really make sure you are getting the equipment you need. The mechanics are also first rate.
Last week I was one mile into the C & O Canal Towpath (with 183.5 to go!) and had an issue with my bicycle wheel. I brought my bike over to Bicycle Pro Shop, and Garrett Stone, the manager, not only repaired it immediately for me (knowing how anxious I was to get back on the trail), but he didnt charge me for the part or the service. Who does that anymore these days? I was so appreciative and so thankful for his incredible customer service and kindness, that I just needed to sing his praise. Many thanks, Garrett!!!
Pro shop is just that: Pro. These folks know what they’re doing and it makes all the difference in their customer service, repairs and sales.Recently I removed my seat post and of course the internal post bolt dropped into the frame. I thought I was a hosed, destined to have a bolt stuck up in the chainstay tube of my s-works after watching several utubes on how hard the issue is to resolve. But knowing the pro shop sold the brand and knew how to work on them, I rushed the bike over there. Instead of giving me a ticket, the guys immediately took the bike to the back, and w the professional expertise they’ve accumulated, retrieved the bolt and reseated the seat post (at the right height!) in about 15 minutes.I was so grateful, the credit card was already out before the bike got to the register. However, they were quick to say, “hey no charge it was no sweat.” Wow, classy move, that could only be repaid w some quickly delivered tasty cold ones :-).Thanks Pro Shop. You guys ROCK!!
Bicycle Pro Shop is the best bike store in DC for great, personable service, and Garrett Stone is a true professional and fun to work with. The entire staff is knowledgeable x 50 and have gone above and beyond to help us with new purchases, as well as multiply bike repairs and issues over the years. They do excellent work and I highly recommended them.
Choose this shop to purchase a new road bike. COVID-related supply chain issues was making bike shopping difficult and frustrating but the shop was great with the communication. When the bike finally arrived, they built it up in one day and had me riding the next. Will definitely return to this shop for service and purchases in the future despite it being a bit of a drive.
Garrett and John were both extremely helpful while I was searching for my bike. Both are very kind and knowledgeable in all things bikes and I felt confident in my decision buying a bike from them. Overall, I had a great experience and would return to purchase another bike from there.
Great service and support. Very quick resolving my issue and a great price. Thank you!
Great service. Despite low supply - I found a great bike there and they set it up for me. Very professional and friendly team.
Awesome bike shop! I came in with a flat and they changed my tube in 10 minutes. They were all really nice.
Great store. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Service is excellent.
Our shopping experience here was excellent! Our salesperson David was extremely helpful in helping me select the right bikes for me and my daughter. He was patient in explaining the various features and in answering a lot of novice questions. He sized our bikes accurately, and the mechanic even caught and corrected a very small flaw in one bike when they were assembling it. The whole team seemed meticulous and caring. We purchased a few accessories, but David made no attempt to upsell us in any way; in fact, he cautioned us against ways to waste our money on different bike fads. It took a while to make such a big decision/purchase, and during that time I saw many other customers being treated very courteously and efficiently. It was clear that many of them had long-term relationships with the folks in the shop. The social distancing was on point! Only two customers were allowed in the store at one time; all others had to wait in line outside the shop until it was their turn to enter. Shopping at Bicycle Pro Shop was a fabulous shopping experience. We will clearly be back for maintenance on our bikes (warranties and free check-ups, etc), but I would return anyway just because the service was so excellent and the staff so engaging.
I had a flat tire biking today, and came to Bicycle Pro Shop to purchase a new inner tube. As was encountering difficulty fixing the inner tube on my own outside the store, the employee graciously offered to help me. I forgot to ask for his name, but the employee who helped me at 5 pm today (Friday, February 19th) demonstrated exemplary customer service. Though I hope to not have another flat tire, should I ever need new bicycle parts, I will certainly be back.
Had a flat tire at 6:15pm on the C&O trail, as they were the shop closest to me I called them to see if they could help me out if I managed to get to the shop before closing time — and indeed they could! By 7pm I had a new tube AND a new tire, as the latter was long past its prime. Thank you BPS!
This place is amazing. I was looking for a new Specialized bike and saw this place had it in stock (first time I had seen it available in my size in 4 months). They let me reserve the bike until I could come try it out and pick it up over the weekend. I had a bike accident a few months prior and Garrett was extremely attentive and talked through every aspect of the bike with me to ease all of my concerns about safety and explained how the bike was adjusted. They let me ride the bike around for as long as I needed and I never felt rushed or pressured while going through the buying process. I am new to road biking and felt like I left a lot more knowledgeable. They also offer free adjustments for the first year and fit testing with new bikes (on hold with COVID) which is great for a new cyclist like me. This was an amazing shopping experience and I am so happy I found this place!
Been to their shop numerous times. They always fixed my bike quick and with high quality work. They never overcharge or do work that is unnecessary. I can only recommend this shop if you want to be sure youre in good hands.
The best LBS in DC! The staff is always courteous. If they dont have what you are looking for in stock they will get it and the service is top notch!
My tiem indoor cycling shoes broke, and I visited Bicycle Pro Shop hoping that they could fix them. In less than 5 mins, Garrett fixed my shoes! Very great experience!
The friendliest staff I’ve experienced in dc and very helpful in getting my bike set up. Would highly recommend!
Smart and friendly staff; great selection of small parts; always eager to help!
This shop is one of the best in DC, and I trust them 100% for anything I need. They have better prices and better service then anywhere else I have found.
Been going to this bike shop for about 25 to 30 years. Just bought my 4th, 5th, 6th bike there - dont remember exactly. The people there are great - its what keeps me going back. They are friendly, knowledgeable and track their communications to their audience. There is no pretense. I ride a lot (telecommute and C&O) but I dont know much about bikes - just ride them. They speak to me at my level. I tell them what Im looking for and they help me. And, they back up their repairs. One-time had an issue wit the repair. They tried a few tweaks but still didnt fix it so they wound up replacing parts for free to get me back on the road. They take great pride in their service. Looking for a bike, parts or need a repair. Go here. You will not be disappointed and youll be supporting a local, independent shop.
Super nice employee And mechanics usually are pretty good people their but the guy I called today was kinda stingy about replacing tubes, for real bro?like with my banking app I could up the proof, who the tf is going to scam during pandemic,I guess people with no life, like some people don’t even have a cent to their name right now, haha. Rubbed me wrong I probably would go else where unless every place is closed.
Knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you to Garrett and team for the help with my new bike!
These guys really helped me out with a weird problem I had with my mountain bike fork. They clearly know what they are doing when it comes to mountain bikes and though other shops are backlogged with repairs, they will find a way to get you taken care of quickly. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I need something for my bike.
Over the course of the last week, I’ve purchased 5 items from Bicycle Pro Shop. Totaling $500. The shop is in a convenient location because it’s a block from my house, so it makes it an easy commute. However, the customer service is horrible! It’s evident that they are not trained in the area of customer service etiquette. I’ve recently returned to the states and the movers just arrived with my items, including my bike! Today was my third day returning to purchase items. I had an expectation that the service would be different considering that there were no other customers this time around. I highly recommend for the Owners of the place to send a Secret Shopper in, so that they will also experience what we’ve experienced. I will not be returning to this place ever again.
Im consistently impressed by the quality of service from this place. The first few times I visited were due to other local shops not having items I needed in stock or having a very limited selection on things like tires. Now theyre my go-to because I know Ill get what I need without bouncing around from shop to shop. Each time Ive visited, the staff has been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They really know their stuff and I trust their recommendations. Everyone Ive met has been super chill and friendly.Prices are in line with other shops in the area despite the Pro name and Georgetown location.Nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend coming here for bike needs.P.S. During the madness that is COVID-19, it seems that EVERYONE is out biking, resulting in many shops having terribly long lines. I havent had to wait more than 5 minutes (if at all) to get into the shop which is a huge plus.
We wrote a haiku to express our appreciation for this incredible shop:Garrett with two T’sHe fixed my bike on SundayI rate him 5 stars. Our pedal fell off while riding today, and we stopped by a few shops to see if any were open and free to fix it so we could ride back home. Garrett came out and took our bike in and carefully explained to us how it probably happened and fixed it at no cost. Honestly, it was the kindest gesture especially with everything going on. So, thanks Garrett, and good things come to good people! Will definitely become a customer in the future. 😊
Best pro builds in the area and guys have knowledge on bikes because they all ride.
This is the first place I go for all of my cycling needs. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They do not sell me on anything other than what I need. I would highly recommend coming here first.
I want to thank the guys at bicycle pro shop for helping me out while visiting the area. I was riding and my screw holding my crank began to come loose. I was able to keep finger tightening it until I got to the shop and the guys immediately took my bike back and fixed the issue. Thanks again. I had a very enjoyable day riding all around DC thanks for the help!
Garrett was super helpful today and went out of his way to help my husband and I with suggesting excellent choices in bikes and helping us find the accessories we needed to get started riding! We highly recommend Bicycle Pro Shop for the individualized service with excellent choices in bikes and equipment. We also learned they do bike repairs and maintenance. Lots of satisfied customers were taking advantage of those services today.
Excellent bike shop, especially for serious cyclists and high end equipment. Very knowledgeable staff and top level mechanics.
Its nice to find this shop right near home, for bicycle lovers
Top quality service, pretty good variety of accessories. Friendly, accessible staff really make this the one of the best bike shops in the area.
Garrett is a great guy been buying fromHis store since 1996 always been treatedWith up most respect the whole staffIs great they alway trying to make sureThey can supply your need
Great selection of bike supplies and the staff was so kind to give me a screw for my front wheel which was stolen recently. Thank you sir and I will be coming back for sure.
They dont sell a thing that isnt made in China. Signed, a former pro racer
Really like my Cannondale Treadwell. They also wear masks, and store had good spacing. They put my bike together and adjusted handlebars, seat, mounted lock etc so you can ride out same day. Call ahead, mornings much less crowded.
I picked up a bike that I ordered online and was in and out in no time. The guy was very nice and even installed my bottle holder and bike lock holder. They said my tires came with a bubble in them so they upgraded the tires for free!Update: My original tires had bubbles in them so the shop had upgraded them. However I soon realized the tires were too wide and were rubbing against the bike. I returned and they put slimmer tires on without issue! Excellent service!
I just bought my first road bike, Specialized Allez Elite, and I seriously cant recommend Bicycle Pro Shop enough and the manager, Garrett Stone.Buying a bike during COVID is not easy as entry level supply is extremely low and going in the store isnt easy with stores limiting number of customers inside. I went to at least 3 stores where I had multiple people try to sell me bikes I didnt want or out of my budget because thats what we have in stock. The moment I walked into Bicycle Pro Shop Garret was super friendly, asked me what I was looking for and helped me find the right bike. Im in between 56 and 58 so he got two bikes down, gave me great insight into the Pros/Cons of each and let me do a quick ride down the street. I found the perfect bike and he also helped me get a good lock and helmet along with it.Love my bike and loved the experience!
I bought my Roubaix Sport bike here almost a year ago, whenever I’ve found any issues/worries about my bike, they’ve been extremely accommodating and helpful at all times. I recommend a lot of my friends to get their bikes here or have their tune ups. Awesome customer service, each and every one of them. They answer your questions and concerns w. so much patience. And they really do help you out w. the best of their abilities. There’s so many bike shops near me, but I would drive 30-40mins to come here battling DC & BWI Pkwy traffic. Soo worth it! I’ve come here about 5-10x already, and they’ve always been fantastic! Even my friends love going there for their cycling needs. Thanks guys!!
These people were sooooo nice!!!!! I wish I got the guys name who helped me, he went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of! He even helped attach my bike rack with out charge. Super friendly guys! And they serviced my bike for like 24 bucks! Amazing!
Amazing customer service and great selection of bike. I just got my bike serviced after one year of use. The team at Bike Pro Shop was fast and diligent, taking the time to talk to me through their detailed notes about my bike. Best bike shop in NW!
This was important to me as I have blown out a knee before. We looked at and test drove many bikes till I found the one that was perfect. I picked out rear rack, water holder, and a bell and they installed them for me. And when I purchased the bike I found out that adjustments and tuneups are free for life! I recommend buying from here. Good people, good place.
Great service and upkeep on the bike I bought. The sales guy who helped me didnt mind me picking his brain for a while since I am just starting cycling. My first time bringing in my bike for tune up was very quick and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Very friendly atmosphere.
You need, they have. Super nice staff!
Great shop! Quick and responsive - and they still, somehow, carry brake pads that fit 2008 Campy brakes.
The best bike shop we have left in the city.
Went into the shop because I needed my bicycle boxed for shipping. They charged 85$ to do this. I asked the clerk if the bike would be wrapped with padding etc. and he said yes. My bike arrived at my LBS and my mechanic told me the water bottle cages and pedals were loose in the box allowing them to freely flop around in the box. Additionally, the padding protecting the frame was minimal. Not sure of the names of the fellows in the shop, but they barely looked up when I walked in. They’ve been in business for along time, so they must be doing something right, but it’s definitely not packing bicycles.
I dropped in to grab a few nuts and bolts I was missing before taking my touring bike to South America. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Their mechanic not only rummages through their drawers to find the exact 16 tiny parts I needed but carefully arranged the washers in the order I would install them, really above and beyond attention to detail.
Very knowledgeable staff, who have been more than patient and helpful each time I have presented an inquiry or purchased products or services. As with most high end bike retailers, Pro Shop mechanics are experts at their trade and willing to explain the processes involved to fix your bike. On multiple occasions I have scheduled a quick repair such as replacing bottom bracket bearings and left the shop in 15 minutes. To that end I highly recommend Bicycle Pro Shop.
Very experienced staff on bikes specially Mr. David he was so helpful and provide excellent advice which helps me to decide on which bike 🚲 I should go for. Thanks dave
Great shop. The GM Garrett is really nice and always helpful.
Amazing service!! After trying two other stores with zero results we returned to M Street and Bicycle Pro Shop where Tom was SOOO great. Informative, non-pushy and friendly we left all set to enjoy the rest of the season with a great bike and can readily endorse this as THE place to get your next bike, service or accessory.
Great shop and friendly staff! I tore a hole in my tire on a ride and the guys in the shop were quick to get me back on the road. Even the staff at the front saw me coming and held the door for me to come inside. Its the little things that count, and Ill be back! Thanks again!
Great customer service. Bike malfunctioned shortly after having it in their shop, but after bringing it back into the shop thinking it was their fault, they kindly explained and demonstrated that the issue was likely the result of a faulty part on my bike. They then proceeded to do what they could to fix it free of charge. I will be back.
I live in Canada and was looking to purchase a frame that was only sold in USA. I stumbled upon Bicycle Pro Shop online and it had it in stock. Since I lived in Canada, I had my friend who lived in Seattle give the shop in Georgetown a call and inquire about the frame. All we wanted was to purchase the frame and have it shipped to my friends home. My friend told me that he was treated with a bit of a condescending attitude.Instead of a simple and polite no the employee had further drew conclusions that my friend wanted to purchase and have them ship it to him just so he can resell it and make a profit. The employee told my friend that if he wanted to buy it then he has to fly there and pick it up.Well I am here to tell that employee my friend is not lying, and he is not trying to buy your frame to resell nor to rip off anyone else. He was only trying help out a fellow cycling enthusiast to obtain a frame that was not sold in Canada. If I had another option to purchase this frame I would not have bother my friend or your store. Before I asked my friend to call the shop I was reading online reviews on Google and here on FB. Most of the negative reviews are based on customer service they received while in the shop having their bikes worked on. I thought that my inquiry was simple and it does not require any service other than simple payment and shipment or at least a yes/no answer. I did not expect my friend to be treated in a rude or condescending way nor being accused of such fraud. The employee had no right to accuse my friend in a demeaning manner. If you don’t do shipping just say we don’t ship and hang up… Simple.
Just bought a new hybrid bike there. Friendly, competent, fast, high quality merchandise, and the prices are as good as anywhere else. Highly recommended for Specialized bicycles.
When you walk into a “pro” bike shop, willing to spent a fee thousand dollars on a new bike and they guy you talk to is absolutely not interested and you have to make an effort to get any piece of information...try the Trek Store next door, at least that’a where my money goes
Expert, efficient, friendly shop with great techs.
The store had the items I was looking for in stock but customer service and etiquette was off-putting
Very condescending, patronizing staff. Terrible follow up throughout the time my bike was in their shop. This was my second visit after having a lot of work done on the bike the first time. For the prices they charge, I would expect better quality of service and much better customer service.
This shop is the BEST. Ive been a bicycle commuter for over 30 years and have taken my bikes to a lot different shops. Bicycle Pro Shop in Georgetown is BY FAR the best shop ive ever visited- super knowledgeable and helpful sales personnel and great mechanics.
Not what it used to be when Mel Pinto owned it. Says in business since 1958 but clearly nothing to do with who owned it before. Pro-Shop in name only. If Mel saw how they were running the place he would be pretty annoyed.
Great service. Eric not only quickly replaced derailleur cable but showed me how to do tricky internal routing of the cable. I will be able to do it next time.
Bicycle Pro Shop in Georgetown has, by far, the best mechanics in the area, and they are adept at dealing with exotic things like titanium frames and gluing tubulars. If I dont have the time or a specific tool to do the work myself, Bicycle Pro Shop in Georgetown is the only shop I trust to do the work.
This is a good bike shop for out of towners looking to rent bicycles for sight-seeing. Quick repairs can be made during off-peak times. Unfortunately, I cannot share the glowing remarks of professionalism and courtesy that some of the other reviewers. This place has a reputation for being quite stuck up - something I confirmed for myself today. One of the employees seems only interested in high-end clients, sizing up each customer according to their appearance. I asked him a question, and he very quickly got distracted by a phone call, never to address my issue again. Fortunately, one of the younger guys took exceptional care of me. Bottom line, the shop is good yet pricey, but dont expect great customer service regardless of how much you will spend.
They have all the best brands. And good service
Great bike shop. Helpful staff who will guide you to the best choice.
The staff was super helpful and friendly. I had a part replaced on my bike in under two hours! I would definitely recommend.
Excellent service at the Georgetown shop. Brought my bike in expecting to have to pick it up in a few days. The mechanic explained and showed me the issue. I was in and out in no time. Would recommend to a friend.
I went to this store and the staff was very attentive I just went to look and buy two cables rear brake cable and speed change cable for mountain bike...and they were fast and nice a don’t know about others services but I am satisfied with the service..
Moving to DC and stopped into the shop to get some info on local rides, paths etc. David and Andre were awesome in providing all kinds of useful websites and local insight.
I have been everywhere looking for quality bike service in the D.C./NoVA. Last year, I bought a Colango C60 and have spent considerable time looking for a bike mechanic that I completely trust; one who is easy to work with and also has passion to offer high quality workmanship in a focused way. I found my guy in Tom---he is top notch and really cares about the work he does for you. Garrett is also a great general manager; hell really go to bat for you with pesky manufacturers. This shop is for those who take care of their bikes and just want to ride all the time they can. They turn things around extremely quickly and they dont try to nickle and dime the small stuff. I really respect these guys, this shop, and you will too!!
Oh yeah, I love this place. The guys there really went out of their way to help me out, even though they knew they were not going to make a sale. I have been back a few times and each time it was a good experience.
Great service! I went to the Pro Shop after a different LBS did some sketchy work and the guys here had me ready to ride in minutes. Theyre very knowledgeable and helpful.
I went to Bicycle Pro Shop to look for a new road bike and received wonderful attention and advice from Dave.
Great service. I purchased my bike (Cannondale Badboy) from this shop last year and I couldnt be happier. I took my bike in for a tune up to adjust the brake and shifter cables after riding it hard for 400 miles. It feels like a new bike again, couldnt have dont it better myself. My cable line was frayed at the end and they even fixed that; just goes to show the attention to detail and pride in their work. I commute through Georgetown on M Street everyday so my life depends on my bike braking and shifting properly. Very professional and genuine group of people who work there. I trust them completely to keep my bike running right.
There is definitely one snooty guy who works here, as some others have noted, but all of the other employees here range from polite to very kind and helpful, especially the mechanics. I didnt buy my bike here so I cant speak to that aspect, but I come in for maintenance several times a year.
Good guys, at first helped with the bike for free. Bought next day everything I needed for my bike
I went to Bicycle Pro Shop to look for a new road bike and received wonderful attention and advice from Dave. He took his time explaining things to me, set up bikes for me to test ride on the Mount Vernon Trail, and did it all with friendliness, expertise, and humor. I ended up with a Cannondale SuperSix EVO Dura Race. All three guys at the shop -- including Garrett -- couldnt have been nicer. Best customer service Ive ever had at a bike store. I will return in a week to pick up my bike and look forward to being a regular there.
I went into the shop looking for help with my bottom bracket, wanting to just watch and learn as they worked on my bike. After traveling across the country and living off my bike for 4 months, I get nervous just leaving it with other people. Im trying to learn to repair it on the trip as I go, but this idea was just outrageous, and somehow seemingly offensive, to Dave, the guy I delt with in the shop. Several other shops Ive visited along the country have had no problem with this. He, however, was rude, condesending, and dismissive. He claimed the shop was busy, and me being in there would piss people off, although there was no one around. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. If I could give less than 1/5 stars, I would. -Daniel Ridgeway
Dave and Garrett were a great help in getting set up with a new Tri bike in a very short amount of time due to an overseas assignment. Thanks fellas!
Staff unwilling to spend time offering advice. they will always forget to call you when your parts have arrived or your bike is ready. dont waste your money and time
Ive been a customer of this store for a few years now. they always provide excellent customer service and enjoy answering my questions. both times i was in need of a bike repair for some older bikes i have ive been pleased. highly recommend.
Expensive and staff was slightly off putting. I consistently came in with the problems on my bike and finally a nice man from the back helped and couldn’t be kinder.
If you want to have the worst experience and costumer service go to this store.Today my wife and I were kicked out from the shop by Garrett Stone, the manager of the Georgetown shop, he told us to Get out and never come back The reason : I wanted to get some brakes from SRAM warrantied and Sram told me that they were a licensed store. First they did not wanted to warranty the brake but I talked to SRAM, they talked to the shop and offered to pay the labor, they would provide the parts. Parts got to the shop and I took the bike to them. They replace the brake levers, when I went to pick up the bike they gave me a bill for $130 dollars for installing and bleeding brake levers ( they did not cut or installed the hydro lines, nothing ) just placing the lever and fill them with fluid. The $130 included a $40 credit that they received from SRAM so... In reallity it was $170, thats how much new brakes are.I told them that Sram told me that it was going to be taken care off and I did not have enough money to pay them, I talked to the Sram support manager and he talked to the shop and offer to pay for the whole labor cost no matter the figure ( I got the emails in case they imply Im lying ) and that the manager in the store refuse to accept their payment as it was agreed before and that I had to pay. I agreed with the Sram people to pay and they would send me parts and merchandise to cover the cost. When my wife came and gave me her credit card to pay ( I really did not have the money ), I asked for the brake down so I could get the invoice sent to the Sram people. He started by telling me they also replace the brake pads, he told me that they were not in optimal condition. I asked him if I could have my old brake pads back because I really did not have the money to pay them and that I never requested the pads to be replaced since I believed they were in working condition. He said they try to call me but I did not picked the phone and decided to change the pads.At that moment he told us Get out from the store, take your bike, never come back I dont want to see you here ever again I did as instructed, and to be clear, I did not pay, as instructed by the bicycle pro shop manager. I do not feel happy that I took my bike with out payment, completely the opposite I feel sad and frustrated.I just wanted to share my experience, I dont know if they systematically treat their costumers like this and I wish them success but I cannot recommend them and I would warn people to be extra cautious when you take your bike to this shop and clarify all your questions before you agree to leave your bike with them.
Yesterday I went to Bicycle Pro Shop to look for a new road bike and received wonderful attention and advice from Dave.
Very friendly and well equipped bike shop.
Polite, courteous and helpful and patient
This is a Great Shop for beginners and Bike enthusiasts alike. I love coming back here to their Georgetown shop from NoVa for every purchase as the folks here provide knowledgeable suggestions and take you through a great bike buying and owning experience. Garett & Andre helped me through my first road bike purchase working with Cannondale Sales rep. Garett did an amazing & detailed bike fit carefully suggesting options & accessories without spending a fortune that showed significant improvement in my biking experience over the past couple of months. I have shopped almost in all bike shops around DC and NoVa and this is by far the best bike shop in my opinion. The bike accessories come with like it or return it option so you have a peace of mind. Also, small adjustments make huge difference so definitely try them out and you wont regret it! They also offer great discounts if you are a WABA or one of the local run, bike or tri club member
Get away from these guys. Extremely passive aggressive people, and on top of that, too expensive. I left with a very bad feeling. If you ask many questions expect some bizarre feedback, such as “I mentioned this to you twice”, or “you are assuming wrong”. They make you feel as if you were an idiot because you are asking too many questions. As a buyer, I like to ask all the questions I need before spending my money…
Super knowledgeable - great guys, very high quality stuff.
