I can always count on Gabe to hook me up with a good deal and get my car back on the road. He and his crew do really good work. My cars are always repaired fast and he gives me a price I can afford. Gabe will work with you to get it done. I have taken at least 8 cars (mostly BMWs) to Universal Auto for repair and I have no complaints with this shop. Ive had valve cover gaskets, timing chains, air conditioning parts, control arms, struts, and more repaired here and never had a problem. This is a great shop to get your car fixed. Gabe is honest and his team all do top quality work. To the people leaving bad reviews on here ....Its all about how you treat people in this world. I am always respectful and allow enough time for them to do it right. I dont rush them and I always hook up a little extra cash for the guys to get pizza or some beers for after work and they go the extra distance for me as well. Whenever I have questions Gabe is quick to respond to my texts or answer my calls. I dont know why anyone would leave a bad review for this place. These guys are great. I highly recommend Universal Auto Repair.

Hello Guys, I was adamant to use this place at first for my old 2010 BMW 328 but I trusted my guts and ended up happy and satisfied with the results. I soon as I got there I asked Gabriel(owner) his qualifications and the guy is legit( he used to work both Visalia and Fresno BMW) before he decided to split and started his own mechanic shop. Though I have to return car couple times for minor issues after a major repair Gabriel took care of it and repaired totally different issue without charging me extra. Will I use him again in case? definitely!!!

Communication is not priority. Paperwork on the work they did was not provided (even after I requested it). Water pump was supposed to be replaced as well as hoses. Yet the next day after I picked up my car I had to buy coolant again. Nothing changed, actually it has but only for the worst..***UPDATE***Your shop DID in fact work on my BMW. I was sent to you by Alex from Auto Natix. Its kinda cute how you respond to my review 5 months later, especially how you are so professional in your response. Your shop sure had my contact info when I got the call saying instead of a 5 hour job it was now going to be done the following Tuesday. (This was said to me on the Friday I dropped it off, only 1 hour before I was supposed to be there to pick my car back up from you)Also, I will include pictures of my car taken on your property. I was referred to them by a family memeber who I trust for an Ac compressor replacement for my Mercedes BenzThey replaced it and then told me that, that was not in fact the issue with the ac not blowing cold air. So lead me and my husband to believe that the ac compressor was not the problem and that it was something else. Either way We still had to pay $ 660Then a year later when we had the money and were ready to find out what the problem was we took it to a different shop and they tell us the Ac compressor is faulty and that was the main reason why it was not blowing cold air. So we call VISALIA UNIVERSAL CAR REPAIR to let them know and they did not want to help us at all when this was their mistake also they LIED about the Warranty! They were just so rude on the phone, hanged up on my husband when he was respectfully talking to them about the situation! So pretty much it was fraud. And a waist of time and money going to them

DISHONEST REPAIR SHOP.The engine of my Nissan Quest was ruined by Valvoline in Tulare and they sent the van to Universal Auto Repair for a diagnostic and decided that they were going to replace the engine with a similar used engine. After they told me that the van was ready I went to pick it up. Initially they didn’t give me any paperwork, but after I insisted, they gave me a copy of the invoice where it showed that the engine was replaced.When I got home, the check engine light turned on. I called Universal and got no response. I left a voice mail and nobody called back. I then took the van to a friend who discovered that the engine was never replaced. They had just flushed the engine and washed it on the outside. I emailed Gabriel Ortiz from Universal Auto repair with a formal complaint. No answer.I then filed a complaint with the BAR (Bureau of Auto Repair) and we took the van to the Visalia Nissan Dealer for an inspection. Everyone agreed that the engine was never replaced. The BAR representative took it from there and Universal Auto is being subjected to administrative disciplinary action. My case is not resolved yet as Valvoline has used every delaying tactic under the sun.Avoid these people. And if they had wronged you, file a complaint with the BAR. They will not respond any other way.

Heard very good things about this place gonna give them a try BMW Dealership is charging a arm and a leg for a repair that can be done at a good German auto repair shop and from the quote I got from here was outstanding looking forward to you guys helping me out on my BMW 5 series 545i v8
