I just went for an exam last week. I put off going to the eye Dr. and usually only go once every 3 or 4 yrs.I have myopia and wear glasses full time. The DR was truly awesome! He’s so dang funny. I was a little nervous before the appointment, since I was brand new to the office. However, the Dr had me laughing within minutes of sitting in the, “electric chair.” It was just awesome.Then I stood in the eyeglass room and took an annoyingly long time to pick out a single pair of glasses and would u believe I was waited on constantly and given the best suggestions!!Thank you guys, I’ll be back next year!!

This place is amazing! I took my 8 year old son for an eye exam and he had a great time! The Doctor and staff were so friendly/helpful. They also have a great selection of glasses for everyone. I definitely recommend Westside Eye Center!

I wanted to make sure to that I did my part by thanking Dr. Brittain for the amazing job he did taking care of my issues with astigmatism. I have been wearing contacts for about 25 years now and he was the first eye doctor I have visited who took the time today to explain why my astigmatism was so different from any usual case and how he intended to help correct it. I truly felt like he listened to what my issues were, so i left the clinic feeling much more informed about my eye care than I have in years. Its great to know that I have a place here in Vancouver I can rely on for amazing care, especially with our growing family!

Dr. Britain and the staff are both personable and professional. I feel as though I am their top priority when I’m there! My time spent with the doctor and optometrist was a breeze and very enjoyable.On a COVID note, the office clearly communicated safety protocol and time restrictions prior to my appointment. I felt very safe as the office staff followed infection control guidelines:)

Had an 8:15 appointment for my 4 year old scheduled. My dog ran out when I left, so I was about 10 minutes late leaving my house and they called me at 8:05 to ask me if I was still able to make it and complete the questionnaire by my 8:15 start time. I told them I would be cutting it close but I would make it, and arrived at the office at 8:11, and was then told I was too late and have to reschedule.I fully understand requiring patients to arrive early to complete paperwork, but Ive never visited any medical, dental, or vision office that would cancel your appointment when you arrive before its even scheduled to start, especially considering the patient is a young child.I was told on the phone on my way to the appointment that as long as I could fill out forms by 8:15, we would not have to reschedule. They let me finish driving down, get my son out of the car, go to the office at 8:11, the receptionist handed me the booklet, and then the DR interceded and said we had to reschedule.Total waste of time, zero stars if I could.

If you are looking for a Doctor who truly cares about his patients look no more. I just started seeing him a few months ago for my family of 7, yet when I had an emergency it felt like he was my childs doctor since the start of his life. I was so scared and so was my son and Dr. Brittian was calm and so caring. He answered all our questions and I could truly see the care for our family and concern. He even checked in multiple times with us.I feel so blessed to have had him by our side to guide us and nurture us through this very difficult time. He went above and beyond any Dr. I have ever had. I am grateful I found him and his staff and know that my family will be well taken care of. He is one of a kind!

The receptionist was so friendly and the whole visit was amazing. Truly skilled doctor. Also, he put contact lenses in my eyes so carefully and just doing that for me was so sweet! Ive never had a doctor take the time to do that, nor take the time to ask about my ethnic background, taking all data into account while performing an exam, nice even after I gave them a hard time for asking about that! No other doctor has taken the care he took. Two thumbs up. Thank you!!

My first few experiences here were great. However, today was more than frustrating. I had an appointment today. I was on my way and there was road work being done and the entire road was blocked. I was half a mile away from the office. I got a call 1 minute after my appointment time and I explained the situation. I told them I could be there in 3-4 minutes as they were just finishing up the road work. They put me on hold and then came back on and said they would have to cancel my appointment. I drove 30 minutes and arranged for childcare for this appointment just to have it canceled. At first, I let them reschedule me but then after further thinking about it, EVERY doctor I’ve been to has had at least a 5-10 minute window for appointment times. Honestly, this is just a bad business move. I’ll be seeking eye care elsewhere.

Great place! Staff is very polite and helpful. The quality of glasses is outstanding, and I also like how many options they offer to choose from.

Dr. Brittain is great! Excellent customer service and was on time. But above all else...I can see! He is so thorough, he covered all the bases. I had single lenses when I came in and he added trifocals and a prism and I am so happy with my vision. I wasnt able to read a book without struggling for years!

Best eye care anywhere, hands down! Dr. Brittain is thorough, friendly, and feels like a good friend you’ve known all your life. His staff members are all just as friendly and helpful. And — BONUS — they’ve got some of the sweetest eyeglass frames from some very cool frame designers. Definitely five stars!

I have seen Dr Brittain twice now and have already referred a number of people to him. He has two offices, one on the west side and one on the east side. Both are easy to access, tasteful and clean. I had my first appointment with Dr Brittain many years ago and immediately sensed not only his love for eye health but for the patient too. He reminds me of the good old-fashioned genuine eye doctor, Dr Jean, I had over 50 years ago growing up in Sacramento. Just this year I had a quite serious injury to my right eye that really had me worried about permanent vision loss and Dr Brittain pulled me through the whole ordeal marvelously! I appreciate his commitment to the patient, professional knowledge and his calming bedside manner. In the optical department, Sandy has been a wonderful person to work with over the years and several times found the mystery behind why the glasses I previously owned were causing me headaches and dizziness. I gave this place a 5 star rating but I would easily give it higher if there were more stars to give!

Everyone was so professional and caring. It was so refreshing to be heard by an optometrist about the issues Im having with my vision and have an actual conversation than being told I have the wrong prescription and being written off. I highly recommend going here. When purchasing new glasses, I wasnt pressured to buy the most expensive ones, they talked me through my prescription, costs, and worked with me to find glasses that not only fit my need but also fit my budget. Best eye care place Ive ever been to! Ive been wearing glasses for 22 years and have had to get my prescription redone every 6 months to a year, so Ive been to my fair share of different optometry offices and this is by far the most professional and caring office Ive experienced. They get five star reviews for a reason!

I am very pleased with the service I get at Westside Eye Center. They have a very efficient staff and always so welcoming and friendly! PROS:The doctor was fun. The exams were quick and painless. My girlfriend who is usually horrified by doctors really enjoyed herself.CONS:We had trouble with insurance and billing. The doctor called me personally to resolve the issues.5 stars all the way.

I am so thankful I found Westside Eye Center. It has been years that I have been with them and now a new Dr. He is the greatest! Being diabetic he follows you with special exams and keeps close tabs on any problems. Referred for cataract surgery and that went well.Thanks Westside!

I have to say this was one of the best places Ive ever been to for vision services. Working in the medical field and seeing physicians on a daily basis and knowing the type of care most patients get with their doctor Im amazed at how well this doctor was with his patients. He listened, he asked questions, he ask you things that you wouldnt even have thought about asking or talking about, five stars all around. I will definitely recommend him to anybody that has my insurance or that needs an eye doctor.

Dr. Brittain was very thorough and competent. He found disease in my eyes I didnt know I had. I went to get eyes examined to get stronger glasses, but because his exam is so thorough the disease was found. Dr. Brittain and his staff was very friendly and made feel relaxed and comfortable.

My wife and I have been going here for several years, and we have been treated professionally and the entire staff knows us, is friendly and are personable. We will continue to be treated by Dr. Brittain and his staff because they do take good care of us. I have been seeing Dr. Brittain for a number of years. He has provided me with the best eye care I have ever had. He takes the time to listen, he solves problems, he is gentle, and for me the best part is he is honest. His rates are fair, he bills properly and timely. I also have had a close working relationship with most of his staff and without a doubt if all doctors and dentists had a similar staff all of our problems and complaints as patients would be eliminated. I recently saw Dr Brittain for an eye floater that had gotten progressively worse over the last six months. I was very concerned that I had damage to my eye. I get incredibly nervous and uncomfortable whenever I have to get any kind of doctor exam. Eye exams are especially difficult for me but Dr Brittain was amazing! His bedside manner is the best Ive ever seen and the ambiance in his office was very relaxing. He ran multiple scans and tests and explained everything he was doing in a way that made sense to me. What really impressed me was I felt like he took extra time to reassure me and answer my questions which I really appreciated especially with something as sensitive as my vision. His office staff was very kind and easy to work with. Im self employed and dont have vision insurance so the visit was paid out of pocket for me. I felt like the fee for the doctor visit was extremely reasonable for what was done. Im very grateful to Dr Brittain for his care and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to family and friends!
