There is a certain level of expectation that is associated with the Volkswagen company. Unfortunately, my family and I did not receive that expected amount of care and respect at Heritage Volkswagen.I understand that there are delays in parts due to the current pandemic. Waiting to receive parts would not be an issue.My issue was the lack of communication. When management was contacted to express our concerns with a lack of communication, it felt as though we were simply told things to make us go away. At one point we were told by a superior “if we are not happy, we can just come pick up our vehicle”.We explained we wanted the vehicle fixed we just needed more updates about the progress. We dealt with this matter for about 2 months. We were without a vehicle for 59 days. In that time frame, our service representative contacted us approximately 3 times. Outside of this, we were the ones reaching out to him for updates.Most of the time we called to speak with him or even a manager, they were not in, or unavailable.When we finally picked up our vehicle, before we turned out of the lot, the check engine light turned on along with both the left and right signal lights. The vehicle was not washed and had dents and a blue substance on both sides. We were unable to address the matter before we left because they were in the process of closing when we arrived (we were told the vehicle was ready a few hours before closing and rushed to pick it up). At the time of pickup, our service representative was not there and neither were the managers.I have tried to contact the service rep and management and have not been able to reach them since we left. It has almost been two weeks since we retrieved the vehicle. When I call I am told one of the managers is out indefinitely, the general manager is not in, and the assistant manager is not in.Finally, the amount that we were originally told we would pay kept changing.Yes, companies are experiencing delays due to extenuating circumstances. The delivery delays on parts is understandable. However, these issues do not justify the lack of communication or the failure to make all customers feel like they are valued. Unfortunately, I do not feel like a valued customer and that is disappointing.

Was told I would receive a call to come back in when the parts arrived so they could repair 3 of the plastic seat levers that have cracked which are on top of the seats to make them fold down. That was 3 weeks ago and no communication. They also told me it’s not necessary to make appointments for an oil change but whenever I go in it seems very busy and it’s a 2 hour wait at minimum. Everyone is very nice and pleasant but I get the feeling they are unorganized. Been there 3 times.

De’areius made my first visit to Heritage a very pleasant one. Being I did not have an appointment and my wait time would be up to two hours; upon my inquiry of restaurants nearby to get food while I wait, he offered to get an Uber for me. As a courtesy to and from the restaurant.My service was completed within the two hour time frame. De’areius reviewed my services rendered and advised of additional maintenance to help in maintaining the performance of my car. In doing so he was professional and not pushy.Suggesting which services I should prioritize and a window in which to consider completing those services. In short I was quite pleased and will be a return customer.

Extremely professional.Did what was originally started. Surprisingly to myself, followed up on all task needed to complete the service and went above any repair shop I have needed car repairs on.The overall feel was comfortable and the facility was very clean.--Bryn Knight is definitely worth his weight in gold.I had the chip on my shoulder due to expecting no one to assist professionally and to act as if you are bothering them at work for needing service.Not the case.Bryn turned that around quickly and his follow up was impeccable

Fast, courteous, professional, Black family owned business. This is the best customer service I have ever had when getting my car repaired. I bought my car here too and it was a great experience. Other service departments (for other than VW) need to come here and take some notes for crying out loud! This is the way its supposed to work.

I had my car serviced here a year ago. That service required a loaner car, which they arranged through Enterprise, at the expense of Heritage. A couple months after returning the car I was notified by Enterprise that the bill had not been paid by Heritage. I spent several hours on the phone with both companies trying to get the bill paid. After all of my efforts, the bill remains unpaid and I can’t rent from Enterprise/National now.I took my car in this past Saturday for one of my free for the life of the car oil changes. They said I had to have the mandatory 40K mile, $300 servicing done to get the free oil change. I told the assistant service manager we could fix the rental problem here. I told him to take $150 off the service and I would pay the enterprise bill myself. He said he couldn’t do that without the HR office and they wouldn’t be in until Monday.I told him I’m done with the POOR SERVICE and to get my car so I could leave.I left there and got my oil changed and a nice detail job on our Passat for less than the price of their oil change.They will not be getting another penny from me with their poor customer no-service.

I left my car for a diagnostic and did not hear from anyone for a week. I called and called and left messages. When I finally reached someone and came to pick up my car, I sat in an office for over 30 minutes to just pay for the diagnostic. No one came until I walked out. Poor customer service.

My wife and I just purchased a used Volkswagen Beetle recently and brought it here for general maintenance and inspection. The accommodations are clean, nice, and very comfortable. There is even a mini movie theater. An appointment maybe preferred vs our walkin because it can get very, but our services were completed within a couple hours as we discussed.

Julius Sekle appeared to be nice at first but aside from my repairs I ordered a diagnostic. The print out diagnostic I received was blurred out because he was running out of ink. I then asked him if he could email it, he had a slight problem with it, I reminded him that I paid for it. Every time I come they give me a print out, but he ended up telling me he would. Never did it until I kept calling and finally got in contact with him to do it. Then when he finally does do it, it’s the blurred out copy that he gave me. I was not able to see any of the writing on it. It was literally the same copy that he gave me when he ran out of ink. It was shocking because I spent over 2k. Please work on the professionalism.

I scheduled service for 24GI Safety Recall-Fuel Rail Bolts. I arrived 30 ahead for the service, only to be told that it would take 2 days to complete, I would need to leave my car from 9/2-9/6. I wad not afford a loaner car nor ride. I am upset because, I was not told when I made the appointment that it would take 2 days or more. This was very wrong, unprofessional and no sensitivity. I will contact VW Headquarters wil a complaint.

I can say for the amount of money I paid, the service wasnt up to par. They quoted me a wrong price for the air filter, it went from $13 to $51. Overall time to complete service, 4 hours & 30 minutes. Price $451. I think the service didnt match the customer service either, no agents were at the cashier desk the entire time. No employee who came by even asked if I needed help. I give Heritage service department an F+. The agent who did ring me up, Brian Hall, couldnt speak clearly on the phone when I did talk to him. Then I asked to speak with the service manager, he told me Oh, we dont have a service manager. Lousy service for a car I bought there new 10 years ago.

Heritage usually sets the gold standard for service. 19 days to fix my epc code issue + 50k mile service. Somebody dropped the ball big time. Best I can tell it was poor management coupled with staffing issues in diagnostics. Very frustrating but still my dealership. Hope you guys get your mojo back soon

Cant remember who I had the first time, but the most recent time Carlos was my service advisor! Definitely recommend him if hes still there!

Told them I had several things wrong with my car and they didn’t fix any of them. They told me I had to get a rental car while they looked at my car. They said the rental was totally free after I asked several times and then when I go over there they charged me $50! After all that I’m still having the same issues. Then I broke my passenger mirror and the sky high price they quoted me doesn’t include painting the mirror. Heritage Volkswagen is terrible. I hate them. Wish I could give zero stars

The service manager Mr B Hall was kind and courteous. He was able to do a temp repair on my door latch until the new part comes in. Why was this so very important? I am a Grandma caring two very young children back and forth to school. The lock allows me freedom to know all are being cared for; just like Mr. Hall did for this nurse of 50 years. I called to set up service and the first person I spoke to he sounded pretty fake and over pronouncing his words and acted like I was stupid!!!! He never gave his name tried to sound proper/professional but isn’t….. called in and no one called me back like the rep said….. but my guy Tony was dope treated me like a person and not someone who was disrupting their day!!!!!! I brought my car in for a diagnostic and they assured me it was the battery. I paid almost $400 for a new battery and installation. Nothing changed Same thing kept going on. Took it back and they finally figured out the problem and it was covered under the warranty. Then my car set up there for hours after it was fixed and I finally got in touch with someone and they said my car has been ready since around 12noon and it was after 5:30 when I called to check on my car. Bad customer service not pleased at all

I bought the car in to get the routine maintenance. Being a VIP member you get the free oil changes as long as you get the recommend services. This time I decided not to get the recommended, because there was items that they miss on last service, which cost me $1,000 out of pocket. Items: nut left off terminal block making car shut off, and transmission cool seal and axle seal. These items would had gone unnoticed if car was not shutting off. Unhappy loyal customer.

Horrible!! Worst experience ever. My car was waiting at the dealership for over 5 weeks and I ended up towing it to another dealership to get my repairs done.I do not recommend this place and will never use them again. There are a couple of other VW dealerships in the Atlanta metro, I strongly suggest choosing another one.

Horrible service experience, charged thousands only for other things to break immediately after service and they didn’t take responsibility for. Problems never fixed fully, services performed I didn’t ask for (that they did reimburse for after I told them i wasn’t going to pay for it) and wouldn’t even give a fair trade in value. Turned me off to VW completely and I love my new Toyota. I would never set foot in this establishment again.

Scheduled an appointment a week and a half in advance for repairs identified by the on-board diagnostics. Arrived ten minutes early to be told that it would be two hours and cost $160 before a technician could evaluate the issue (already communicated and identified on the dash). Three hours (and $160) later I was told that the issue was indeed what the on-board system indicated, and that it would be three more hours and $600 to complete the repair. I cut my losses and had the repair done at an import service shop in an hour for around $300. Will never use South Atlanta VW for service or sales again.

This service department has people in the drop off bay who are very efficient in processing the flow of customers. Jaquan was very helpful and forthcoming with assistance. For starters, my vehicle is 11 years old so I had to pay a $1,000 deposit before they would place it on the diagnostic machine. I had my car towed up there because the oil pressure light came on. My car was towed to the shop on June 23rd and I was told my car would be ready on June 25th. No one ever reached out to me regarding my car. Any communication made with the company while my vehicle was in their possession was because I initiated it. I called once and was told that my vehicle wasn’t there and if I was sure I calling the right place. I was promised call backs that I never received. I called on June 28th and was told that the diagnostic test was ran and my oil pressure switch went out and needed to be replaced. As well as they would like to run an oil pressure test as well. I gave the ok. They never got round to fixing my car. To make a long story short I went to the shop on July 1st to pick up my car after being in there for 8 days only for the switch to not be replaced. I ended up taking it to another shop where the gentleman was super nice, professional and swift. I couldn’t believe the unprofessional experience I had with Volkswagen.

Terrible experience almost from the start. Was told the part my car needed had to be ordered and would be in the next day. The next day at 2:42p I had to call them because no one bothered to call me to say that there was a problem with the delivery of the part and they would have to keep my car another day. However, upon pressing Tony the service rep, it would really take 2 days before my car was fixed. What? I dont even wish to get in to what it was like waiting to get my car when they said it was ready, you dont have the time. I was given a rental while they worked on my car so I guess something on the positive side happen. But as far as recommending them, NOT! They were much better than this less than 2 years ago. What the heck happened?

I went in for a coolant leak and they found that I needed a water pump. They were professional and were a lot of help. I feel like I may have been taken advantage of because I’ve never heard of a water pump/timing belt costing $1800! But warranty paid a decent amount. I’ll be doing my maintenance in my driveway from now on. But if you aren’t a mechanically inclined person and have the extra cash, I’d give them a try.

My oil change was done properly and customer service was fair. My issue was with scheduling. I had a 9:30 appointment, but didn’t leave until 1:00. I was late for my next appointment after being told my wait would only be 1-2 hours. I waited 3.5 hours. Apparently the service department was over booked. I’d definitely hesitate putting in an appointment at this location again.

My wife’s car broke down at the end of 2018 beginning of 2019, the warranty was good on the car as it was a 2014 and so they fixed everything, even though they got the car in December and we didn’t get it back for 6 months and didn’t find out for 4-5 months that they weren’t actually gonna replace the motor like they said, so they supposedly did fix everything or so we thought, because here a couple of months ago the same thing happened and this time they refused to fix it and wanted to charge me $15,000 for a new motor after trying to charge me $1200 just to tell me I needed a new motor, because they were supposed to put a new motor in the previous time but instead they did a whole bunch of work short of putting in a new motor, but then they only had to warranty that work for 12 months, my wife barely drives her car and there were hardly any miles put on the car in between the first motor “repair” and the second motor locking up and then refusing to fix what obviously is their fault but they won’t admit because why would they, anyways I didn’t have a bad experience with the service rep, his name was Tony and if I could give him 5 stars I would, his hands were tied, but as for the experience that went with everything, I’m not leaving any stars because it was a terrible experience and I don’t recommend anyone to ever deal with these people. They should have owned their mistake but I guess pride gets in the way and so now I’m screwed out of a car only worth 12,000 with a new motor that they wanna charge me 15,000 and I still owe 7,000 you do the math, thanks guys.

This was the worst experience that I have experience with a dealership when I left I still have a light coming on telling me I need to get my service in 1300 miles want to charge me $400 for break flush,two filters and alignmentBut they made a mistake and charged for my first service. I was told the charges would be deducted at 40k service but this is the 30k and they want 480. Somethings not right same dealership that promised to file paperwork on gap warranty with 2.5 yes left but fail and now Im finding it difficult to get my refund.

I had a couple issues that I was relieved to find out are still covered under warranty. They figured out why I didnt have heat coming into the car and why it was sputtering. Without me remembering to make the request, they also took care of my tire sensor. My service advisor, Julius, exhausted all options to ensure I had transportation while my vehicle was repaired which took several days. He was a gentleman, opening all doors, and very respectful in all our communications. My experience was stress-free and thorough. I had a much different experience with my local VW dealership, so I will never hesitate to drive the 20 mile trip back to VW of South Atlanta even for just my oil changes. The service is better than any Ive experienced in the past 20 years.

I had a poor experience with this dealer service department. They were understaffed. I had to wait for help even though I made an appointment. I explain my issue in depth and showed exactly what I needed fix to the point the service tech took pictures of what needed to be fix with my convertible top. I asked questions that the service tech could not answer about parts on hand by ordering time etc. No one called me about my service. I got a txt message that looked like a hacker txt, that no one told me from the service department that is what they do now everything by txt. There was no personal service. I had to call to get the status of my car, I could not get a service rep, but had to leave a msg, they did call me back and told me it would be two more days to get my car. When I picked up my car they tried to charge me for diagnostic on what to fix on my convertible roof, when I showed them specifically what need to be fix when I dropped it off. I had to complain to get a refund on what they should not have charged me for. The whole experience was not pleasing. This is the third time I have used this service department and I will never go back there again. Poor customer service, poor communications, I will admit the work was done to my car as asked, but the cost was TWICE as much as what ti would have been at my local garage. They have lost me as a customer

I made an 11:00 a.m. appointment for a lube oil and filter and a tire rotation. I don’t live close by so I told the gentleman checking me in I would be waiting. An hour and 45 minutes later I check with the service agent to see if it normally takes 2 hours for service when you make an appt. They hadn’t even started my work. Almost 3 hours for a L.O.F. with appt. is, in my opinion, terrible service. The staff didn’t seem to care much that it took so long. Won’t be headed back.

I had made an appointment and they did not check me in until 20 minutes after I had arrived on time. I had to find someone to check me in for my appointment after being told to wait in the lobby and no one came to talk to me. When I returned to pick my car up the service advisor was clueless and stated to me that he did not know what they did on my car because another associate checked me in. He was very frazzled and not well organized to begin with. When I asked to update my contact information he appeared stressed and tried to avoid it. Hardly any of the associates are wearing there masks appropriately, mask below their noses. In the waiting room, there is zero social distancing. I have been coming here for the past 8 years and this was the first time I have had a not so great experience with the service department.

SLOWWW service (maintenance). Half day oil changes anything else well hope ya got time. I mean insanely slow.Service center waiting room has a movie theater, so by default they’re dropping a hint how long the average service appointment is. Hint...your wait will be longer than a single 90 minute movie on their big screen.COVID can’t be used as justification it’s been that way since I bought the car a couple years ago. I’m stuck because it’s warranty work.

Had a very bad malfunction in my Tiguan 18’ and due to the warranty I had I was able to get everything done with ease. My service technician was extremely professional and timely with communications as well. They gave me a loaner to continue my days as normal and upon receiving my car back everything has been smooth since. 🤝
