My Jetta needed some TLC. Check engine light and scan warned of an overheating issue, which can lead to complete vehicle failure. Went here for a comparison quote after the dealerships extortionate diagnostic results for my M3s throttle issue. Thought I would have to wait a week with European Auto Tech (they are busy, which is a good sign) for the diagnostic, but they managed to fit it in sooner. They requested an additional pretty pricey test to determine exactly what was wrong, which I was reluctant about doing without having any sense what the total damage might be. They gave me a worst case scenario quote, which was still lower than the dealers, so I agreed to the second test. The quote dropped even lower, as it was determined that the part didnt actually have to get replaced (as the dealer insisted). Ive been driving the car for a couple weeks, and its running exceptionally well. You can trust your luxury car with these folks. Customer service was stellar, and everyone from the front desk, to the owner, to the shuttle driver (and obviously the technicians) were fantastic.

I highly recommend European Auto Tech (EAT). I live in Seattle and bought a 1983 Porsche 911 SC at online auction from its original owner in Tuscon. I planned to drive the car from Tuscon to Seattle, so wanted to make sure it was tip-top for the trip. After having EAT recommended to me by the seller, they completed a number of large and small jobs. Dana and the front office are incredibly proactive and detailed with communication and status updates, which made me completely comfortable working with them long-distance. The work itself was completed by Mark, a technician with significant Porsche experience who is meticulous and clearly takes great pride in his work. When I picked the car up, seeing the EAT shop and the car for the first time ever, I was even more impressed. Clean, friendly, professional shop with a team who loves what they do. I have high expectations in general, and I was very pleased with the results. They took time to walk me through all aspects of the car, provided some tips for the trip, and made me think about moving to Tuscon just so I could continue working with them. And... I drove the car more than 2,000 miles, returning to Seattle. Warm, cold, day, and night, the car started on the first turn and it performed perfectly. Dont take your prized classic anywhere else. Credit to John and the shop and team hes built.

Theyre nice at first then come the rib off. theyre charging you very pricey for scanning your car to look for what was wrong then they will fix one thing even though the scanner reports show more than one problems this way when you go back one or two days later they can charge you for scanning again. go some where else. Autopart will do it for free plus give you some estimates too.

What did my red E46 325i have in common with my silver E46 323i? They both only went to European Auto Tech. Everyone there is great and they actually care about the customer. They realize that if someone can not afford or does not want to fix something right away that the customer will come back to them if they provide great service. The parts are NOT marked up and the labor is very reasonable, especially considering how knowledgeable everyone is including the employees in the office. Ive taken my vehicles there more times than I can count and Ive never had an issue with their work or customer service. I recommend them without hesitation.

I am new in town and brought my 94 Mercedes in based on the reviews. I am very satisfied with my experience. I was kept in the loop on every issue and given the choice to address it or not and I was kept updated on a daily basis. They had to do a lot of work on my car and I felt the prices were more than fair and the outcome of the work is evident in how my car now drives. It feels and drives great! I drive a 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon and was driving cross country from San Diego to Georgia when my water pump went out. There are not enough words to describe how thankful I was to have found this place. Not only did they get me back on the road but they also did an excellent job of showing and explaining to me everything they did, allowing me to work inside their clean and comfortable office, giving me tips on what to do in Tucson, and providing the greatest customer care experience Ive ever had at a mechanic. Ive never been to a shop that worked so hard to track down all the necessary parts in order to get me back on the road. They even bought treats for my dog while we waited and texted me a few days later to make sure I arrived in Georgia safely. If I were to move to a place in order to be close to a good mechanic I would be moving to Tucson so I could be close to this shop. I cant recommend them enough

Excellent service for European cars. Mostly BMW, but also Porsche, Mercedes, VW. Dana and Linda behind the desk know more about cars than most mechanics, so I feel comfortable asking questions and knowing I will get a straight answer. Quotes for service are accurate as well as time intervals. Ive been a customer since the late 90s and their new facility on 1st Ave illustrates their growth and competency.

This place is the TOPS when it comes to capability and integrity. I have had them do some basic stuff to my crazy Toyota rock crawler buggy and Ive had them install a new custom 4.6 liter engine into my Land Rover Discovery 1 that I had shipped to them. All done perfectly.

I had a severe problem with my Vanagon that was addressed directly, diagnosed correctly and dealt with in as timely a manner as possible. Fantastic Service!I recently moved to Tucson and had an issue with my Mercedes. I took it to the Merc place and they quoted me a large amount and said it would take ten to twelve days to fix. I googled and found European Auto Tech. They not only fixed the problem swiftly, but saved me a lot of money. They have great staff, very good communication, and even cleaned my embarrassingly dirty car for me! If you have a European car, dont go anywhere else.

I highly recommend European Auto Tech. I recently bought a 2001 Audi TT Roadster and it needed a number of repairs. The mechanics at E. A. T. were able to fix all of the repair items and they were great at finding used parts for the 2001 model so I did not have to pay AUDI for original new equipment.

Ive taken my Audi here for a few repairs and routine jobs. From my experiences, the mechanics are pretty thorough with repairs (Ive never had to come back for the same problem) and if they do find something else that needs your attention, they will actually show and discuss with you said problem. For further peace of mind, the work is also warrantied. Honest repair shops can be hard to find, but I think these folks are one of them.

I loved their service. They took care of my car, gave me a military discount for being a Veteran AND they were the most affordable I could find in town that deals handles European vehicles.

I have been a long-time European Auto Tech customer and I am always impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the expertise of the technicians. I had a intermittent traction control + ABS + brake light. The problem was diagnosed quickly and E-A-T gave me options since the part wasnt immediately available locally. The part ordered through a Phoenix supplier for arrival that same afternoon. They gave me several options from returning for another visit to purchasing the part through them. Since the task of replacing an ABS sensor was relatively easy to do, I picked up the part later that afternoon, installed the part myself and saved the cost of the labor. Most places dont give you that option! Well done!

I have been taking my Mini to European Auto Tech for over four years. I have never had any problems with anything they did. They actually treat it like it is theirs. I cannot imagine going any place else. They are number one in my book.

Brought my 135i in for (2) different oil leaks. After having the car up on lift for 15 minutes they were able to identify both leaks and provide a quote. The mechanic was also able to describe why it was leaking the way it was (would only leak if the car sat for a few days). We talked through the repairs and he was obviously very knowledgeable on these repairs. When I came in to pick up my car a few days later the total was less than the original quote and they had also changed my oil. Great service and I would recommend them.

I have only been here twice but both times I had A+ service on my BMW. When I first purchased my car I was nervous to go anywhere but the dealership. After searching on Google I found this place by all the previous good reviews. My first visit was due to my water pump breaking. They also alerted me of other optional fixes. Since I was out and about running errands I asked them for estimates and they went as far as emailing me an itemized estimate. I picked what repairs I wanted and was pleasantly surprised at how small the bill was. They even went above and beyond and cleaned my oil pan from the cars oil leak. The second time was for a small headlight repair. I had previously replaced the same headlight at the dealership and spent nearly $400! At European I paid less then half of that. Not only was it the exact same part but the service/labor time was only 30 minutes compared to the hours that the dealership would keep my car. After two great experiences I cant see myself going anywhere else.The only downfall was that my cars tire pressure light has needed to be reset since my first visit. I asked if he did it during that first visit and he said yes....but it wasnt done. My boyfriend also noticed that there was new white scuff marks on the front as if the car hit something while in the shop (we noticed when we got home). The marks came off with some heavy cleaning so I never felt the need to contact the shop about it. Other then that I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this shop and would highly recommend.

Terrible experience. Be careful about there reviews. They cracked the dash on my vintage Porsche 911. And refused to take responsibility for doing it. This car is my baby I know every inch of it. Then they started insulting my car and were extremely rude. Terrible customer experience.

These guys are great people and do great work. They dont BS you and wont try to fix something that isnt broken. The whole staff was awesome, theyll give you a rundown on exactly whats wrong with your car. Not cheap but less than dealer.

Took my Porsche Boxster to European Auto Tech to replace the rear wheel bearings. Work was completed on time and below the estimated cost. Will use again in the future.

I chose to have my car serviced at European Auto Tech after scouting out all the shops in town that work with VWs, they kept the shop very clean and the staff took care of my vehicle in a timely manner; they arranged a rental car for me and kept me informed with the status of my vehicle. My impression is that the whole crew was very professional, I was satisfied with their services and I will use them again in the future.

I brought my sprinter here to be repaired and two months later they still werent able to fix the problem. They charged me over $1,500 in diagnostic fees and had no idea how to properly work on my sprinter van. These people will take you to the cleaners. I now have to take them to court to get some of my money back. Stay away!

John, Jeff, Dana & Linda were great to work with. In addition to designing a super upgrade to my Westfalias A/C system they also offered good advice on what else was needed (e.g. replacing the radiator).I thought the original radiator was still good but can see now that the replacement has resulted in cooler running under extreme conditions.Just got in from a 1400 mile trip that was much more pleasant with cold A/C as we drove thru Phoenix & Tucson. It is no mean feat to get a 28-year-old A/C system blowing ice-cold once more, but the wrenches at European can do it.

Gave me a used engine with a broken fuel sensor so as you may imagine this created many problems. It was only after that they told me that my warranty was not covered by the but by the manufacturer of the engine so I Was SOL. Now I have paid more than the car is even worth. Thanks European auto tech!!

My husband John and I were driving in Tucson when the engine alarm light alarmed in our 2002 VW Passat. We drove to European Auto and drove in without an appointment. They diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than an hour and a half. Customer service was friendly and excellent.

Euro Auto Tech was great. My 1982 vanagon broke down in Tucson while on a cross country road trip. It was sunday so everything was closed, but when we got towed to the shop, John the owner, happened to be there! He helped us push into one of the bays, fillled out some paperwork, then was nice enough to give us a ride to downtown. He and (I believe) the VW specialist both have their own vanagons so they are plenty knowledgeable.Luckily there was nothing catastrophically wrong with my van. Dana at the front desk was very patient and communicative throughout the process, and they emailed itemized estimates before doing any work.And when the work was done, they picked us up and brought us back to the shop - excellent service.

I recommend you find another shop. After having my e46 3 series die in the middle of the intersection and paying for towing to their shop they charged me $100 diagnostic fee in addition to 3 hours labor just to tell me the fuel pump is bad. They then wanted close to $1000 to replace the the pump. They claimed the part cost just under $400. After calling autozone i found the part only cost $200 and I could even get it online for $100. In addition to that they told me that my crank case sensor needs to be replaced (it doesnt) and my rear shocks are leaking (they were replaced a month ago). So to sum it all up do not go here, they will just charge you unnecessary fees and expensive repairs that you dont need. Worst experience I have ever had with a car repair

Be very careful of this business especially if you know very little about cars. I took my 2004 Mini Cooper S in for an oil change and inspection. They told me the front struts were bad, that one was leaking and the other was starting to. Upon independent inspection, one of the two rear struts was leaking and the others were fine. They told me that my power steering pump hose was leaking - wrong again - two new hose clamps cured the problem. The air filter was so bad that it caused the engine to run lean creating a computer fault. Why was the air filter not checked or replaced during the oil change? I would not recommend this business and seem to have had a much worse experience than others who reviewed this auto repair business, but I double checked their recommendations: I wonder how many of the other reviewers paid for repairs that they did need.

This is the copy of my statement made to the BBB of southern Arizona. Stay away from these con men.Car was brought in to repair an issue with the car dying after driving 5 or more hours. The car continues to die and I have 787 dollars in repairsI dropped off my vehicle at European Auto Tech on the afternoon of June 23. I brought it there in the afternoon because after driving all day at work the car would randomly die out. It would start back up without issue. This is why the car was brought there. After leaving the car I was told there would be a charge for a diagnostic check which I had no problem with. I picked up my vehicle the next day,they gave me an invoice for the repair which included an ignition wire set, central ignition coil and a set of spark plugs. I made a remark to the woman who checked me out that the parts price were nearly 4 times what they should be and her response was we use the best parts to ensure customer satisfaction. So I paid for it using my debit card and left. Two days later, I have the car again dying out randomly. I call the shop which was Friday June 26, they tell me its too late to bring it in and to bring it Monday. I end up bringing it there on Tuesday June 30 at which time their tech and I take the car for a ride and it dies out numerous times. He tells me to bring the car back the next day so he can put a fuel pressure gauge to see if thats the problem. I return the next day July 1 and he takes the car without me and says the car hasnt died out so he cant diagnose the problem. I tell the tech that they charged me 164.63 for a diagnosis and I still have the same problem to which he states that unless the car dies out he can only guess the problem. He offers to write an estimate for a fuel pump and fuel filter. I tell them to email it. I dont ever receive anything so I call them Monday July 6 and they say they dont have the correct email. So i give it to them again and on Tuesday July 7 I receive an email showing that they want nearly 3000 dollars for repairs. At which time I decide to contact he BBB with the problem. So in my opinion, I was charged 164.63 for a diagnosis which solved nothing. Then I was gouged on the price of the so called best parts for 366.32. Another 164.63 labor and after tax and shop fees 787.70. Let it be noted that on the top of my receipt it shows my car having a 4 cylinder 1.8L engine. The car has a 2.0L engine, so they may have installed the wrong parts. In the end I feel I was ripped off for parts that were not necessary. The car still dies out randomly and their diagnosis was wrong. So I feel I am entitled to a full refund because my problem was not resolved and the shops failure to resolve the issue leaves me no other choice. Let it be noted that I am appalled that they would have the nerve to send an estimate for nearly 3000 more dollars of work to fix my vehicle

I feel late to this party, John. But needless to say, you and your people (especially Dana) are the only people I have trusted two generations of Audis (and a Porsche). Five, hell, you are a ten in my book.

Took my MINI in for new brakes, oil change, and inspection. They replaced pads and rotors with OEM parts. The front desk personnel were friendly and professional, however, I would have preferred meeting and talking with the actual mechanic who worked on my vehicle. Overall, a well-run organization.
