These guys are awesome. I had another shop tell me that I had a leaking transmission and that I should take it to a transmission shop to get it rebuilt. Dave ended up taking a look at it and found some loose cooler lines. Tightened them up and fixed the leak, free of charge! I definitely recommend this shop if youre looking for a trusted mechanic.

The TH350 in my 72 El Camino was in need of a rebuild. My uncle recommended A-Affordable, as he used to use their services at their Englewood location when he owned his auto shop down there. Staff was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They gave multiple rebuild options, and came in at a very reasonable price. I just picked up my car today, they had it done in 3 days! My Chevy Impala needed a transmission rebuild. The day we called we were offered same day pick up. They were awesome! They offered options to choose from and explained which is best for our needs. We were called as soon as they got back to the shop with our car so we knew it was there. We were also updated on progress while they had the vehicle. When I went to pick up my car they explained everything that was done and everything that was replaced. He explained everything that was on the paper so I knew exactly what each item meant. He also asked me to bring my car back in 10 days to check in to make sure everything is going good! This place was fantastic. They looked at my car quickly and diagnosed a leak. Due to the placement of the leak, the car needed a general mechanic. They topped off my fluid and didnt charge me for the diagnosis. They were wonderful and I would absolutely use them again.

I had just bought a used SUV and about a month after having it the transmission began to whine and make a grinding sound. The first place I took it to misdiagnosed my problem and really didnt have good customer service. I then found A Affordable and called them for a second opinion. From my very first phone call Devin gave exceptional customer service. After dropping off my SUV they quickly diagnosed my problem and we started the work. From start to finish Devin always took the time to explain everything and didnt brush me off like some places do. The work was more complicated than we originally thought and took longer than planned. But in their defense, things were a lot more complicated than the eye could see. Through it all Devin kept working hard to get everything just right and never left me out of the loop. He went above and beyond to help me. I greatly appreciate all of his hard work and will always go to Devin from now on. I would highly recommend them to anyone for their stellar customer service, hard work, and honesty.

They looked at my car they were honest told me how it was. Back story I was told my transmission was going out I didnt know trust the dealer. I took it to AA theh told me the same thing said they could replace it but the cost was more than the car was worth (honesty I needed to hear) rather then save the car there was really no point in trying to save it. I will be back with any transmission needs I may come across in.the future.

My SUV started leaking fluids on the highway last week. I call Gary with A Affordable transmission and had it towed to the North Glen shop. I figured man! I am going to need a transmission for sure. Gary called me back and said it was a front axle and since it was still under warranty from the last mechanic they shop the part to them and put it in for $180.00. SIZE ISNT EVERYTHING...My 2005 Chevy Suburban was recently fixed st this location. I find this place to look like a small shop, but their efficent, friendly, and understanding. This shop RUINED me its the only place Ill go to for my transmission needs. Ive referred 2 friends and a relative to them its no SURPRISE they loved them as well. There straight shooters, performed an excellent diagnosis of my problem and quickly fixed the issue. They also kept me informed and made me feel at ease with choosing them for my repair

I took my Subaru Outback in after it broke down,one day after getting back from Tires Plus . Dave was amazing in telling me what the different price ranges and what is done in that price range . They guys here were extremely knowledgeable and knew the issue right away and confirmed it. Just to note they only do major repair and minor repair, but they facilitated delivery of my vehicle to another shop down the street.

The guys over at Affordable Transmission are excellent, hands down. I was having problems with my transmission. I took my car into another shop first, and they told me I needed a new transmission and the price to fix it equaled just about the trade in value of my entire car. They charged me just to take a look at it. I went online and read all the great reviews about Affordable transmission so I took my car to their 84th st. location for a second opinion. Randall answered the phone immediately, let me drop it off within the next hour, and personally called me back two hours later with a diagnosis. They could fix it for a quarter of the price of the other place and went into great detail with me about the problem and how they had diagnosed it. Also, free diagnosis, no charge! Bottom line - Excellent service, honest, friendly people, that truly seem like they care and want to help you out. There are so many shady mechanic shops out there and this definitely IS NOT one of them. Cant say it any better than that and I will be returning here with all my cars forever!

I took my 2011 Jeep Wrangler here in August 2016 because it was close to my house and they were the only place open early. I was having problems with my clutch and they replaced it and sent me on my way. 3 days later, my jeep was back in their shop with a broken clutch again. They replaced it for free under the warranty and I asked them if there was anything else that could have cause it to fail again. They said no. Fast forward 2 weeks, and I was back in there again after driving my jeep to the mountains and having a ton of smoking from underneath (clutches dont smoke: indication it was my transmission or transfer case). This time my clutch was completely out and my jeep was not drive-able. They replaced my clutch again but made me sign a paper that if the clutch fails again the part wont be warrantied but the labor will (I would have to pay for the clutch assembly again). I asked why it kept breaking and they couldnt give me an answer except I was riding my clutch too hard. I took it to a different transmission place to have them look at my transmission and transfer case. My warranty company approved for not only my transmission to be replaced, but my front drive shaft as well. When I got my jeep back from the second shop, it was making noises again about 3 days later. I took it back to the second shop who discovered that the post on my flywheel, which hold the clutch assembly in place, were cut off when A-Affordable resurfaced my flywheel in the original repair. In addition, the master slave cylinder was also damaged because of this and needed to be replaced. I paid A-Affordable to install a new clutch and they were continually unable to complete the repair properly. Since it was repair by another shop, I have not had a single issue with it.

This might be the best place Ive ever done business. I needed to get a new clutch in and I found this place from Team Dave Logan and I figured it couldnt hurt to price them out. I sent a general website email and within a half hour I got a reply from the owner. After a few back and forths, I felt comfortable enough to let them do the work.Once I stepped in the shop, it was nothing but professionalism and the level of customer service that really was unparalleled. Dave worked with me through each step and kept me updated on their progress. The repairs were completed on time and on schedule.My only regret is that I dont have any other vehicles needing work. I really cant recommend these guys enough. Its almost shocking to experience their level of commitment and customer service.

Ive been around many many automobile fix-it shops in my life-time. But never have I had such a good feeling walking into and walking out of an automobile shop as was the case with A-Affordabe Transmissions Center on 84th and Huron in Thornton. I credit all the workers for their friendliness and expertise in their jobs; moreover, I honor the centers manager Dave, whom I have yet to see in any manner other than friendly, personable and very knowledgeable in his work. I greatly admire honesty and integrity and Dave personifies these virtues to the fullest. I first took my car to their shop a year ago. I took it back recently and expected a huge bill; however, Dave checked it out and fixed the problem at no charge. He also took a step further and personally brought it to my house when completed. I highly recommend this Transmission site for more than just needed repairs done right and timely; but with the good attitude and friendliness of the workers. Hence, I rate A-Affordable with five stars.

Called in advance to see if they could assist with my transmission problems on my truck. They recommended I bring the truck in for the afternoon for a free diagnosis. After they were done thouroughly diagnosing it they called and told me everything they found out and gave me a recommendation on the best path forward for both the truck and my wallet. My Mazda 3 had a weird light coming on and was acting strangely. I brought it to a Meineke and they told me I needed a new transmission which would run me about $2500. I then brought my car to Dave to look at, and it turned out there was just a bad sensor, which only cost about $500. They changed it out, no problem and now my car is running good as new. Customer service was great, and they saved me from spending an unnecessary $2000 which I would say is a win. Thanks Dave and crew!

I have had 2 transmissions and Differential rebuilt at this shop. My Escalade Differential was much cheaper here than the dealership, yet the work was excellent. That was 45,000 miles ago and still working perfectly!

Called on Monday 6/29/15 and they were able to get my truck in that same day. Found out what was wrong with it by the afternoon. Picked it up the next day and it drives like a brand new truck. Great communication, I didnt wonder for one minute what was going on. Reasonably priced, under $200 for my repair. Definitely recommend this business for any transmission needs.

Worst service ever! I brought my vehicle in to get the transmission rebuilt after being reassured by A-Affordable it would work after they were done. I got it home and the still the transmission was not working right. I called immediatly and brought it back to see why it wasnt working. After keeping my vehicle at the shop for over a week they stated it was an external transmission issue and there is nothing they could. Finally, I took the vehicle to another mechanic and found out that the input shift speed sensor was bad, an internal transmission part. When I called A-Affordable to get the problem resolved they told me it wasnt covered in the warranty and they would not make it right. The vehicle never worked after being repaired! Isnt that why you receive a warranty? To guarantee the service on your vehicle would work! On top of providing a false service the person answering the phone hung up on me to end our conversation. I ended up paying someone else to get the job done right.

I had a Ford 2002 edge that had a leaking PTU (transfer case). I took it in and Dave said that he could rebuild it and the seals. Less than a year later I noticed gear oil on my driveway and took it back. Instead of owning up and saying that their work had failed, he told me it was my actual transmission that was leaking and I would need a rebuild. I have since taken it to other shops and they have confirmed thethe transmission is fine, the PTU is what is actually leaking, and stated that the PTU was not a serviceable unit and I should not have been given a rebuild as an option. I dont appreciate being lied to.

Randy and his guys are professional and easy to work with. They fixed my Explorer with parts that correct the well known problems with Explorer transmissions and did it for a lot less than other estimates. Definitely my go-to guys for transmissions.

I had a problem with the previous management and an issue with 5th gear in a transmission they rebuilt. It was after the warranty period, but bummed me out that it was never handled correctly in the first place. Devin, the new manager offered to make it right and fixed the gear and only charged me for parts, which was very generous. Nice work!

I generally work on my own vehicles but after replacing the engine in my 4runner i really wasnt looking forward to tackling its transmission. Took it to these guys late in the afternoon and before the end of the day they had it out and apart and let me know what was worn and needed replacement, what was still ok. Long story short i had them do a full rebuild and it was cheaper than the toyota dealer by far and its running great. Any trans issues my friends or neighbors have i refer them here. Randy and his custormer service was great. We had a major trany oil leak. It ends up that a metal hose had come loose. They reattached the hose, replenished oil and checked the transmission ... all at no cost! This is our second time doing business with A-Affordible and both times have been real good.
