The shop is very modern and well equipped. The waiting area is clean and comfortable with windows facing the shop so customers can watch the work being done. The personnel are friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. Everyone I saw was ASE Certified, a very good sign. The oil change was quick and there were NO GREASY FINGERPRINTS anywhere when they were done. A job well done!

While on a road trip, my dash board lit up, one light being my check engine light. We called first thing in the morning, the employees were all very helpful, professional, and straightforward. Not only did they quickly take my vehicle back for a diagnostic, I was back on the road within a few hours. I cant thank them enough. We have had our work truck in 3 different times now to try to get our a/c fixed. The first time they charged it up and called to tell us it was finished. We picked it up and got about a mile down the road, and it started blowing hot again. Called them and took it right back and they charged it again. Same thing happened but they told us it may need a new compressor. We didnt have the time to leave our truck with them then, so decided to wait. We put it back in the shop with them this past Wednesday. We also needed a transmission leak looked at. After arriving and leaving the truck, we got a call that afternoon that they couldnt work on it at all because they didnt have a lift to support the weight of the truck. We asked if they could just fix the a/c issue then, since theyd worked on the a/c before. They reluctantly agreed to look at it. Everytime we were the ones that had to call them to check status. Later Wednesday afternoon we called and they told us it was a bad pressure switch (not compressor) and would be $250 to replace. We told them to go ahead. Never heard anything all day Thursday. Called them late afternoon and were told the wrong part came in and they were waiting on the correct part. Friday no word. Called them around lunch time and were told it was being worked on and would be done shortly. 3pm no word, so called again. Same answer, being worked on and would be done shortly. 445, we called again and they told us it was being finished up. Finally able to pick it up around 5:30pm. Still not fixed and air still blows warm. Very disappointed all the way around.

I am so thrilled that they came and got my car. They never performedany mechanical action I did not expect. They are always courteous.I highly recommend them for any auto problem you may have.

We were traveling through from Utah when my alternator pulley fell off the front of the alternator on my 1989 Corvette. It was 7:30 pm on Sunday night so there were not any options for repair at that time. I contacted AAA for a tow but nobody showed up so we went to a hotel for the night. In the morning I called Christian Brothers and spoke to Garry. He was very courteous and professional and got us right in to replace my alternator even though they had a full schedule that day. After finally getting AAA to tow us there it only took about hour and we were back in the road good as new. We were only 30 miles from our destination for the previous night anyway so it didnt hold us back too much and makes for a great story along our EPIC journey around the US. Definitely recommend them.

I gladly recommend Christian Brothers. I sent my car in for a bad oil leak and they honestly told me it was simply a loose screw. Topped it off and got me back on the road in the same day. Absolutely great price, honest and stellar customer service. A place that acts like they actually want your business and strive to keep it. Took my car in because the ac wasnt cooling. They checked everything that could possibly be wrong and found nothing. 🤔 I had to pay for diagnostic but they even gave me a little break on the charge. These folks were SO great! So polite, caring and professional, frommy very first call to them to the gentleman who picked us up to go back and pick up the car. They replaced the radiator on the car we had purchased a mere 3 weeks before (so we were already quite stressed). They made me feel like they knew what they were doing from the very beginning. Went to pay $1,500 (just labor) to have my timing chain replaced, I paid for all the parts separately which was 400$, which is expected for that job. At first they seemed amazing, the man who set up my appointment was extremely kind. Unfortunately that was the only good thing about this place. I come to find out my car is running worse than before. When I go to start it, it’s shaking uncontrollably, which it never ever did before. At first when I arrived after being told my vehicle was ready, it wasn’t. They then asked me to replace a bunch of parts.... because they would already be down there, and why not. When I asked them if anything was wrong with the 3 different parts, they said I don’t know. Water pump, valve cover gasket, and intake plenum gasket, off of an assumption. When my husband asked to see the alleged 3 parts that “may” need to be replaced, they hadn’t even started working on my car. 2 days after I brought it in, and was told it would only take 1-2 days. Why would I need to spend an extra $600 on random parts, if you haven’t even seen them yet? Especially when you haven’t even started working on the car in the first place. I’m assuming they didn’t expect us to ask to see the car, thank god for my husband being an army mechanic. We were able to see that they hadn’t even touched it, and had no knowledge of the condition of these parts, concerning my car. Paying over $1,500 for it to run worse, isn’t my idea of a fun time. My husband is now fixing it for me. As he is taking the engine apart, he finds all the gaskets were left disgusting, and they couldn’t even wipe them down. But had no problem asking me to spend more money. I’m also missing mounting brackets, that were originally there when I brought it in. It takes a lot for me to write a poor review, I’m usually never disappointed and extremely understanding. But when I pay that much money JUST for labor and not even the parts included, I expect something as simple as wiping dirt off of a part, to be done. I completely understand that things happen and it’s a lot of moving parts, but you drove the car to the parking spot and felt it shaking like crazy. Worst mechanic I’ve ever dealt with, should have just done it ourselves, now that we have to anyways.

I would highly recommend these guys. I broke down in Troy. They were on the ball. Called a tow truck for me. They even drove us to have lunch while the car was getting fixed. Great customer service, honest people.

It was just a call. The customer service was great, and was quite upfront, honest and answered all my mind picking questions without any indication of deception. In addition he was quite familiar their services and products and was confident with what they can and can’t do with so you don’t end wasting your time there. I wasn’t too fond with the brand/types of Oils they were using their, and maybe it was to cut costs or whatever... That’s my personal preference because like spoil my cars by running the best lubes through them. Maybe with an Older car I’d probably wouldn’t care but anything new or 1-3 years, I’d give it the top grade oil.

Crooked, I wouldnt recommend to anyone. Several months ago my AC went out so my partner took my car in for a diagnosis.... Mistake one. We had just spent nearly $1000 to have his vehicle worked on here, the diagnosis was $60 for his car. When we took mine it was $120, but they didnt tell us during the scheduling process or at check in, only at checkout. They provided a two page diagnosis of issues with my AC that totaled over $1,200. Ive spent months saving to have it fixed and last week I decided to get a second option before laying the cash down. The nice gentleman at the new shop laughed, spent 10 minutes placing a screw on the pully that attached to the compressor. He charged me $0.00, there was NOTHING wrong other than a missing screw! Christian Brothers are crooked, do not go here!!! The original issue with my partners vehicle was also a nearly 80% markup on just the part (alternator) from the itemized list provided, once we realized they were crooks and called the parts store to compare the previous work.

These people are honest, trustworthy, and most importantly compassionate. I was on my way to a funeral when my Jeep broke down. I had it towed to them, and they were able to instantly get me in to try and diagnose the problem. Turns out it was going to be a very expensive repair that would take a while, but they were willing to drive me to get a rental car. I was denied a car at the first place we went, but no worries they took me to another! They treated me as if I were family, and I cant thank them enough. A truly difficult day for me made so much easier by them. Thank you, Christian Brothers! You are all such kind and humble people.

The wonderful staff at Christian Brothers Automotive took such good care of me!!! As a 40 year old woman when your engine overheats you feel helpless. I pulled my car into their automotive shop and was greeted immediately with a smile. They looked at my car within 30 minutes or less and informed me why my engine overheated. They called a few auto parts stores to make sure they carried the correct parts for my engine and then gave me the estimated price and time. The front desk man was amazing and super friendly! He took me to my grandmas while I waited on my car to be fixed and I felt safe with him. I highly highly recommend this place and I will continue to use their services!!!! I needed a new AC compressor and these guys got me in at around 9:30 and I had my truck back by 2. They even gave me a ride to my house and picked me up when it was finished. We were passing through town on a long trip when the Check Engine light came on. They quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and got us back on the road. The truck ran great the rest of the trip. The staff was very friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

The car is driving great after the repairs. Ive driven it almost 1,000 miles and the engine light has not turned on. The shop was clean and professional.

My TPMS light was on. They convinced me I needed 5 new ones (roughly $1000). After about 6 months, the light was back on and they tried to tell me I would have to go to the dealership to have a new module or antenna installed to fix the problem. Went down the street to another shop and they were able to re-program the sensors (no need for new equipment.). I would have been happier if CBA was able to just admit that they arent good with those TPMS devices rather than waste my time and money. Looking back, I doubt all 5 of my sensors mysteriously all needed to be replaced at the same time. Also, I went twice about my brakes making noise and they kept telling me that there is nothing wrong with my brakes. The other shop I went to found that my rear drums/shoes were worn all the way down. CBA just never took the time to look at the rear brakes. People are friendly, but the wait times are extra long and the service techs just dont seem to be good enough for the prices they charge.

On a Friday morning my car began acting up. I called two places I had used previously and neither would have been able to get to the vehicle until the following Thursday. On a recommendation from a neighbor I called Christian Brothers. They were able to check the vehicle and have it repaired that same afternoon. Their staff was friendly and polite. They even took the time to explain another issue that may arise in the future so I could watch out for it. I was impressed and will definitely return when needed.

I took my car in and told them if they didnt get done that Thursday the next day would be fine since my appointmentwas at 1pm. I never received any updates and by Friday at 11am they still hadnt started working on my car. I was told I would receive a text or phone call, but by 4pm I still hadnt heard anything so I called the business. At 4pm they still hadnt started working on my car and I was told they would start work on it Monday. I picked my car up after 6pm when I was able to get a ride there.

My Ford F150 would not start so I called several repair shops and no one could fit me in their schedule. So I called CBA spoke with Gary and explained my issue and he were able to fit me in right away and he immediately gave me peace of mind with his caring phone conversation! I had my truck towed to their shop and in a few hours I was informed of the repairs needed and suggested best options for me. I went in for a transmission flush because it was recommended by Valvoline and they were honest and upfront with me and told me per my cars manufacture it was not needed at this time and everything else looked good on the car!They also tell you the price PRIOR to working on your car so there is no confusion.Even though I didnt have anything physically done, they made an amazing impression on me just from the pure honesty they had. I will definitely return!

I highly recommend this garage and Im thrilled that they are now here in Temple. I used to travel to Waco to use their sister garage, but now they are in Temple it is very convenient. They are honest, which is very important to me when choosing a mechanic. They are accommodating, skilled at what they do and have fair pricing. Overall I think that they are wonderful and dont hesitate recommending them.

Stopped in with my wifes vehicle to address some concerns, not only did they fit me in on Good Friday, they where able to do a full inspection but they also did the brakes I was worried about but broke up the different things they found wrong into easily separated groups so I could have the different things they found done in smaller increments to make it easier. Overall my best experience with a shop in a very long time.

I called for an appointment thinking it would be a day or two to get in. I was told to bring it in now. WOW. They diagnosed a bad wheel bearing. I took the car in the next morning- my choice - to wait for the repair. They tried unsuccessfully for 2 hours to get the bearing out but finally offered to take me home. They said I would need another expensive part so they drove me home. I was home for less than an hour when they called to say they got the bearing out and I didn’t need the extra part AND the car was done AND they were sending their driver to pick me up. I am extremely pleased with the service and professionalism of Christian Brothers Auto. Absolutely a great company.

My car broke down in the side of the highway. AAA towed it to this facility and they were very helpful completing a diagnostic on my car.

I took my car in on Tuesday and they got me a shuttle home. They gave me a list of repairs on Wednesday morning, I approved them, and they told me my car was ready Thursday morning around 7:00. Around 8:00, we scheduled a shuttle to bring me to the shop to pick up my car at 12:15 p.m. When I got there, paid, and got in my car to leave, a guy walked over to my window and told me that the steering wheel was crooked, and that I could bring it back in and he would, “fix it for free.” I had already paid almost a hundred dollars for them to fix my alignment. I’m disappointed that I have to go back in on my day off work and wait for two hours. I don’t like leaving less than favorable reviews. As a paying customer who worked hard for the money I gave them, I just wish I had a different experience. I hope I can say otherwise with this next visit.Update: They repaired my car as originally stated. Definitely seemed like they were trying to backpedal on their original statement to fix what they had not finished for free. The service writer (guy at the cashier) handled my complaints professionally and was the easiest to work with.

I received a free Birthday oil change and I had the best experience. Everyone is very professional and friendly. Not only did they change my oil they also showed me a picture of my radiator hose that was fixing to burst. I have plans to return to have my transmission serviced. I know they are a trustworthy business and I plan to return.

Called early morning, made an appointment the same day. I was in and out within 30 min. They checked my to as well since I had a low pressure light on. No problems, very professional. Will use again for any future problems.

I was able to drop off my car the night before using the key drop feature and it was ready for me by noon. They were quick and thorough. I liked that they included pictures in the inspection to show me how things looked. I liked the text features of being able to view the report and approve/deny certain repairs right away without having to go down in person or wait for a phone call.

I had taken our Elantra to get looked at for issues with involving rotors, told me that all pads and brakes needed to be replaced, well not to long along ago I had the brakes replaced and figured how could that be?Well I gave it some thought and wanted a 2nd opinion and turns out the brakes were fine and still had alot of life left in them. Now, I understand that the issue with the one of the rotors could cause them to mess up but to tell me all? I have pictures of the old brake pads and theres alot of left on them. Since I had purchased new brakes for a parts place I decided to just go ahead and replace all pads and brakes, obviously not from Christian Brothers automotive. They could have explained to me also that I could resurface some of the rotors.So if you use company ask to look at the brakes they took off if you ever get brakes done

I received an online ad for a free oil change, and took advantage of it. Got me in quickly and did a great job. I did notice after awhile that I had a few drops of oil coming from the vehicle, and returned to have it checked out. The took it right in, found repaired and ckeaned up tge problem. No hassles or complaints! I will be back again soon.

I had an appointment to get my air conditioning looked at. On the day I brought my car I was greeted and they knew what I was there for. They offered me a ride home so I wouldnt have to wait for a long time. When it was done they both called and tested me. They further offered me a ride back to pick up my car. I played the fee and left. All in all it was an efficient experience.

My battery was dead, road service got me going but warned that the engine could not be shut off until it was parked where repairs would be done. Christian Brothers was able to work me in and complete the repair while I waited. They also checked that related equipment was OK. The waiting area is clean and quiet.

I brought in my sons vehicle to for a check engine light issue. I had already read the codes and brought in a needed part. The CBA mechanics installed the part and fixed the check engine and replaced the brakes on all 4 wheels. When I picked up the vehicle I noticed the wheel well plastics were hanging down and laying on the tire. When I mentioned it to staff they asked the tech and returned to me, shrugged their shoulders and told me it was like that when I brought it in. They informed they did not touch anything that would cause this.Ok, when the repair started they did a 743 point inspection ( exaggerated) and sent me an email with every single item that needed repair. The plastic laying across the tires was never mentioned. And exactly how do you take the tires off and not touch the plastic sitting on to of the tire. I will conceded that the plastic could have been from a previous item. I disagree that it was hanging down and sitting on the tire. And it would be impossible to remove tires without addressing this plastic. After they informed me it was like that when I brought it in and they didn’t touch it I layed down in the rain on the wet pavement to try and rig the vehicle to drive it away. All while their staff stood over me, never offering to assist or pull it back in and see if there is anything they could do to help. They weren’t going to get paid to help so it wasn’t on the agenda. Never again will I take someone my business who’s 1st response to an issue is to cast blame and lie. I suggest anyone who takes the time to read this do the same and never take a vehicle to Christian Brothers Automotive temple tx.

(Temple Location)I am making a 3 star review for 2 reasons. one I walked away and didnt have work done and 2 I was mis quoted. I do feel the misquote was an honest mistake but it made the difference in my choice between this shop and another shop. as it stood this shop was roughly $60 more expensive than the other and had a better warrantee and good reviews so I choose to bring my vehicle here. I called 3 times to ask questions as I was evaluating quotes from other shops. when I arrived they were friendly, pulled up my quote and confirmed the price. As I was pulling out they stopped me and informed me they forgot to add the AC evacuation charge to the quote. this change made them about $160 more expensive so I declined and left.My knowledge is very dated but from my experience an evac and recharge is a matter of hooking up a 10-25K machine.. letting it do its thing .. checking on it once in a while... then after service ... pulling a vacuum ... recharge the system with the machine.. add any missing refrigerant .. sometimes adding dye for checking for leaks.. this is the only reason I am not performing the work myself. I choose not to evac my refrigerant to the atmosphere.long story short.. an honest mistake wasted some of my time this morning.

They came to my house and picked up my car and serviced my ac for $40 less than I was quoted from two other places. Then they dropped off my car back home when they were done! Would highly recommend getting your car serviced here.
