My master cylinder on my 11 C6 burned out, so I called & talked to Martin. He was very professional & had it towed to his shop. I had my car back in perfect working order within 24hrs! The best experience Ive ever had at a repair shop! Thanks Martin!

Had my 2004 Chevy Silverado with 64k original miles on it towed in due to it not starting. I suspected a bad fuel pump. Surprisingly I was called the next day to pick it up. Had a broken wire on the coil. Truck has been slow to start for a while so I asked to have the fuel pressure checked. The check valve in the fuel pump had failed so they replaced the fuel pump. 3 days after my truck was towed in it was running better than ever.

Bought my car in due to it not starting. Had it tested elsewhere and they stated that the battery was good and may be the starter or alternator. Did an alternator test myself and it was good, so I bought it to these guys. It turned out it was a bad battery after all. Has been doing great since and love the honesty! I have been going to Above and Beyond for several years now. Martin, one of the owners, is a good Christian man and I trust him with my vehicles. They use quality parts and stand behind what they do. They may be a little more expensive than some other places but it is worth it.

I just had my first experience at Above and Beyond Automotive and it was awesome. Their service was so great, I felt like I had to write review. The owners are fantastic. They treat you like family. I needed an alignment done on my truck. I heard Above and Beyond could balance and align 35 tires. I take my truck to these guys and within the same day they tell me i need hubs and other parts replaced to do the alignment. Indeed i did so i got these fixed and come back and they did the alignment. I still had a rough ride and ultimately came down to my original tires were worn and out of shape. I got new tires put on and now my aignment is out again. Without hesitation these guys took the truck back in and realigned me no questions asked. He wouldnt let me pay for the second trip(same week) and they proved to me how proffesional rhey really are. They have my business for all of my vehicles.

I started coming to Above & Beyond last April after my dealer wanted to charge me almost double for an engine issue I had been having for almost six months. The dealer was not helpful but after Martin and his crew had my car for one day, they were able to diagnose the issue and quote me a much more reasonable price. I left with a new engine, a comprehensive look-over for my car and all my questions answered. I have been back many times to see them and always leave feeling that my car has been in good hands. Words alone can not express my gratitude to the above and beyond team. We were visiting from out of town and had lost our brakes intermittently several times as we drove through the mountains...very scary! We took our vehicle to another repair shop and were told that our failing brakes were due to a contaminated brake fluid that would require a complete brake system rebuild. What we thought would be 300 dollars turned into a 1300 dollar nightmare. There was not enough time for the repair shop to fix it that night so we would bring it back the next day. On our way to the repair shop, my wife lost all braking and was up in the lawn. Fortunately she was able to stop with the emergency brake. We had to get this corrected so I carefully drove the vehicle to the closest shop (above and beyond) with my second foot ready to use the emergency brake at any moment. The receptionist was so sweet and Martin was truly an answer to prayer. He assured us that he would do everything he could to make sure we were safe. Since we were from out of town they graciously provided us transportation back to the place we were staying so we didnt have to wait there all day. The repair the vehicle for less then I had originally expected. More importantly, Martin saw another need and offered to pray for us. This is not just a review of a great place but a testimony about how God can use a tragic event to guide us to the right people at the right time. I have nothing else to say than that they are just great ! My check engine light was on and I came to them without calling them or having an appointment. Yet they helped me right away and also checked my pressure on the tire and put some air in it without I even asked for it and that for free :). They are everything what you wish for. Everyone was friendly and professional. They asked what I wanted done when something wasnt as expected. When I booked the appointment they said that the base price for an alignment was $80. Once my vehicle was on the rack they admitted they were unable to fix the only thing that needed changed. After paying I had to ask for the alignment printout which they happily provided. Upon review of said print out I noticed that nothing actually changed more than 0.05* indicating that they didnt actually do anything other pulling my vehicle on the rack, removed then reinstalled 4 bolts with an impact, put air in my tires, and pulled my vehicle off the rack. They then charged me $210. For doing nearly nothing.

Great prices, great guarantee, great people. My only complaint is that it took a long time for them to fix our vehicle. Even then, Ricky gave us a small discount on the labor. Ill definitely be back and I highly recommend Above & Beyond Automotive.

Today was an eye opener for me, after coming off the interstate ( 100 miles from home with my 70 year old mother and 2 children) with no brakes, realizing my whole family could have been killed, a tow truck driver (from Davis Towing who was very nice by the way) brings me, my mom and my 2 children to THIS SHOP. As I am pulling up I am thinking, Lord I am from out of town and this is gonna cost me an arm and a leg. I already knew what was wrong, why I had no brakes due to the caliber coming completely off the rotor and that it was a simple fix, BUT still, I was from out of town and they could have charged me whatever they wanted and there was nothing I could do. After searching and searching for the bolts to put back in my caliber, he found a pair and a new brake caliber hose. Took about 2 hours to get it fixed, then this owner brings me my keys. I get up to settle my bill, and the young man shakes his head, and says dont worry about the bill, just have a safe trip back home. MY HEART DROPPED. Almost in tears, I give him a big hug and told him God Bless him. All faith in humanity restored just like that. This man could have so very easily taken advantage of me, but instead he gave me a blessing. On a scale of 1-10, I give them a 15!! The staff was INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY, shop was clean, they even had a reclining couch in the waiting room. Offered us cold bottled water and kept checking in on us letting us know what was going on. Took my truck here for a power steering pump in October. Service time sucked. Was truck less for a weekend. Said Id get it back the next day, and the next, and the next. Finally decided to tell them that I need it Friday before the weekend and if not Ill get it towed somewhere else. Luckily it was finished, but not completely. Had missing plastics for my engine, and the power steering pulley was one groove off and was continuously shredding belts. Decided Id fix that myself. Never going back here again.

I have an F250 Diesel. The Service Engine Light was intermittent and it ran really rough. I didnt know anyone that was near qualified in this area to repair it. I was pointed in their direction. I got there and saw nothing but gas-powered vehicles. I put my fourteen year old truck in their hands not knowing what was going to happen. The next day I had my truck back and it was purring as loud as ever! The second best thing to that was they gave me a worst case scenario quote and the bill was $500 less.A very friendly environment where you can actually relax and know your vehicle is in capable and VERY honest hands. I have a semi-loud personality which they took with a grain of salt. All of them are so nice. I just cant say enough about them.Thank you Above and Beyond! You rock!

Would NOT recommend if you want a place that is interested in customer service - BEWARE - does not disclose basic diagnostic fees upfront or even after multiple conversations.Bought my van on a recommendation from Holts Transmission to get water pump replaced. When I dropped it off I was told it would be about a week for it to be done - which I was okay with. Got a phone call that they looked at the car & motor needed to be replaced - we were okay with it as long as it was a used motor because its an 2005 older van & not worth getting a new motor in it. Husband had to follow up twice to check status. Over a week later & they told us they could not find a used motor, but could put a new one in with service for over $5k (we have a 05 van) - ummm not worth it. Went to pick it up & was then AND ONLY THEN told that there would be a $110 diagnostic fee.. I am all for paying people for their time and effort but after 4 phone calls and a face-to-face drop off there was nothing ever said about hey, we are gonna charge a fee to take a look at this just so you know.Would have been nice to know from the get go.I dont mind paying for work but seems like they didnt want to take the time or effort to even try and fix it & then to charge for a diagnostic fee. Just rude. Bad way to do business.

Brought my Xterra here twice. The first time I brought it the mechanic told me over the phone they would be able to look at it that day and let me know something. I didnt hear anything back for days. Tried calling a few times and it went to voicemail and then finally a young lady picked up. She didnt seem to have any knowledge of my car or its problem and wasnt able to provide me with a answer at the time. she asked me to call back. Finally i was able to get a hold of the mechanic and get the work done. He claimed they had the wrong phone number for me. The second time i took it in I made sure to ask again if they would be able to provide information about my car within a day and he told me yes. This was the same guy. We never received a call. Me and my wife picked the car up and took it to another mechanic. When you work in Summerville and drive to and from Mt Pleasant everyday, a reliable mechanic and vehicle is imperative. They might be good mechanics, but their customer service is horrible.

I called for help with a vacuum leak 30 minutes before they closed but said for me to come in and helped me very respectful very helpful.

Honesty and integrity dont have a price. I came in with a problem that could have easily been spun into lie that would have cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars. But these guys didnt do that. They fixed what was actually the issue.

Called in to get a quote on replacing valve seals on my Tahoe. I had been having an issue with oil consumption and smoke at startup after the 260 mile one way trips I had been taking recently...I believe I spoke with Martin and he said valve seal failures were not common and advised that I replace my valve cover as the pcv valve is built into that. So I swapped it out and just finished another 260 mile trip....oil level didn’t move, no smoke, and better power. thank you for the advice!

Good auto place to go and get stuff worked on

I went in a couple months ago after a recommendation from a relative. I had a problem with my vehicle and had spent days going to different shops and replacing parts that didnt make my issue go away. I had 1 more day before my road trip and they were busy, but when the gentleman heard me telling the girl at the counter what I had been dealing with, he came out and brought me along to check my vehicle on the road to see what was wrong. He immediately knew what the problem was, and even though the shop was very busy, he talked to one of the mechanics and they decided to help me out. He said it would be a few hours, it only took half the time, and when I got it back...it was actually fixed this time! You guys saved my familys trip! Ive already recommended you to others and will continue to do so. Amazing customer service, thanks again!
